Is this a model that you have to subscribe to a monthly service for? I really want one but I’ll only use it a few times a year.
I have the wired version of the same year and you don’t have to subscribe, just be careful which images of theirs you use. If you upload everything of your own and play with it then you’re golden!

Can it cut any designs i have or download from the web or does it have to be specifically cricut catridge designs and images? That’s the only thing that’s holding me back from buying
Nope you don’t have to use just cricut cartridges! I have mainly SVG designs I have bought on Etsy etc.
I know the vinyl is also on sale on their site. I am a new user. Is that a good price or can I find a better price somewhere else. Thanks.
Try craftvinyl.com their daily sales are awesome. You won’t find cheaper. Shipping is slow, like 2-4 weeks. BUT make sure to read ALL the rules on the page before ordering.
