I usually find the 42 oz container on sale around here for $1.99 and stock up. Sprouts, if you have one nearby, have bulk oats on sale for 50 cents or 69 cents per pound very frequently, and again I stock up. Only thing is, you do have to leave your house for the savings! No subscription needed though.
