I ordered these from Ashley, the regular price definitely isn’t $2000, but they are a great set! Very comfortable!
Oh awesome! Thanks for the feedback Mel! Good to know how comfy they are!
Wow is right! If only I could justify buying new furniture……………….amazing deal here!
Wow nice
Is this a shiny material? Just wondering if any other readers have this couch and like it. Thanks!
I have the Darcy sofa set that I bought from the Ashley store. It is identical to these. They are of good quality. Easy to clean microfiber. They are not shiny. Great for families with kids and pets. The price tag is inflated for sure, but is still cheaper than the Ashley store.
Wondering if the store has them. It said only only but I want look at the sofa before purchasing it online
Ashley carries the Darcy sofa in-store which is what i have and looks to be identical to these. You could check it out. For the price, I have found them to be good quality.
This set is not quality! I bought the sofa and loveseat last time this deal was posted. Ashley Furniture seems to have nose dived in quality in recent years. You definitely get what you pay for in this case. My three kids are not too hard on anything, and the arm of the sofa cracked just days after having it. It was also advertised that the seat cushions were sewn in when I purchased this set, huge selling point for me since small children wouldn’t be able to take them off, instead there is a small piece of Velcro securing each cushion and I am constantly putting sofa cushions back in the correct position just from normal use. I also had an odd experience when the delivery truck showed up in the dark at almost 9pm the night before the set was scheduled to be delivered and asked if they could just drop it early. No call or email or anything, and my family was already settled in for bed! Very disappointing experience. I don’t bother with the hassle of contacting the company to complain, and will simply just not buy furniture there in the future. Too bad, but we all have to live and learn sometimes, right!
Thanks for the FYI!
Nose-dive? I always consider Ashley to be of lower quality. I never had one, but from what I’ve read and heard from people I know, this brand is “you get what you paid for” type of deal.
Oh bummer! SO sorry to hear that Katy 🙁 Thanks a bunch for sharing your experience!
I haven’t owned any Ashley couches, but that’s because when we were shopping for a couch and loveseat last year, we visited our local Ashley store. We found that on each piece of furniture, there was an obvious low spot on the cushions where people had tried it out (when one of us sat on the end and one in the middle, the person in the middle was several inches lower). We then asked one of the associates how long the furniture was out on the floor, and it was generally less than a year. That is NO durability for furniture that people are sitting on for a few minutes at a time! I would not buy any upholstered items from them because of this.
Oh my gosh thank you so much, I can’t believe with this deal and the Ashley tables from a few days ago, I got an ENTIRE new living room set for less than $800!!!!!!
Woohoo! You’re welcome!
A lot of comments here that are mentioning Ashley Furninture. Isn’t this something different? This is from JCPenney. The brand is Signature Design by Ashley Madeline. Am I missing something?
It’s signature design by Ashley, Madeline is the model name
Ah, I see. Thanks!
I wasn’t sure at first either, but this sentence from JCPenney website clarified: “Signature Design by Ashley® is a registered trademark of Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc” 🙂
Ah, OK. I get it now. Thanks!
No way! I literally just bought this couch for our loft last week and had to pay $125 in shipping costs. It is set to deliver to my house this upcoming Friday. Now shipping is free?!? =( Does anyone know if JC Penny is good with things like this and they might refund my shipping costs?
It doesn’t hurt to call and ask!
I am in this exact situation! I called JCpenny and they refunded $125 back onto my credit card 😊
Does it arrive put together? We have a narrow doored room we need a sofa for but this wouldn’t work if it were pre assembled.
If you order this, be sure to follow up on delivery and stay on top of it. I ordered the bedroom furniture deal on August 30th, and it is still not delivered! First the moving company lost the head board and foot board (?) Then the 2nd set they ordered came without brackets… Thankfully the JCP customer service has been fairly easy too work with. I’m hopefully finally getting a bed this week. Looking forward to not sleeping on the couch! Just an FYI to make sure you get the furniture! 🙂
Thanks for the warning Nichole!
It comes put together. I had no issues with delivery. I love the couches comfy and good quality. We have had them for 4 months now.
Thank you so much! I bought 2 full size couches! I really love this app! A few weeks ago I got a kitchen table with 6 chairs for $87! Can’t believe some of the prices! Happiness!
Sweet! You’re welcome Kendra!
Where did you find the kitchen tables with chairs for that price!?
I’ve had this sofa for about 6 years and I agree with the previous poster about the cushions. They don’t stay put, and it drives me crazy. We have three kids, no pets, we don’t wear shoes in the house, and they aren’t allowed to have food or drink in the living room, but the microfiber hasn’t worn very well. It looks dingy even after cleaning and the cushions are pretty saggy and the foam is very squishy. We only paid about $300 at the time, so it was worth what we spent, but I wouldn’t get cheap microfiber again unless no one sits on it.
Thank you everyone for the feedback from your experience! Seems consistent that the cushions move all over the place
Thank you so much! We have been needing a new set and wanted something inexpensive so we don’t have to bring our gross old sofa on our move. This is perfect! Hip2save saves us so much money, you are great!
Thank you so much for posting this deal! I’ve wanted a new set for our rarely used living room but just couldn’t justify the cost. At $450? Sold!
You’re welcome!
I have had a set identical to this for about 4 years. I haven’t had any problem. I think for what your paying it’s a great value.
