Wow! Super HOT Walgreens deal alert!

Walgreens has the Revlon hair dryers and straighteners advertised on sale for $19.99 this week. Plus, when you purchase one you’ll get a $10 Register Reward, making the final cost $9.99. Well, the deal gets even better because a few readers have emailed saying that the Revlon Hair dryers are ringing in at $12.99. Which means that after you get the $10 Register Reward back- each hair dryer is ONLY $2.99! Yay!

I have also been hearing more and more reports of the Angel Soft Toilet paper (4 pk) being on clearance for ONLY .47! Use the .50 coupon from the 4/19RP to snag FREE toilet paper!

Another quick note. I got the Real Soft toilet paper for $.25 each. Look near the toilet paper…they had a pack of sanitary seat covers, 18 ct., originally $.99, clearanced to $.25…would make a nice filler.

Here in MI a friend told me that the 10.00 RR was an error (she was told this by a Wags employee) and that they were pulling all the hair dryers off the shelves (the specific one that was printing the RR). She called as I was standing trying to find it. Indeed there was a section where it appeared they had all been pulled….EXCEPT, they had an endcap where it displayed all the hair dryers and there was one there! it is a PINK hair dryer. I took it up to the front of the store, thinking COSMETICS might not let it go through and I got the 10.00 and it rang up for 12.99. I had RR’s (36.00 worth) from last week so I used a 9.00 one and paid the difference and then turned around and got a 12 pack of Bounty towels using the 10.00. I owed 1.71 which I put on a gift card that I had received from transferring a prescription. SO the overage from the original purchase of the dryer and the overage on the paper towels came off my gift card so it was essentially all FREE! I ended up doing better getting the Bounty at Wags than at CVS. The sale isn’t looking so great for next week so I will probably go back and get another package of Bounty since it expires next week!

I had a strange experience today when I went for my hair dryer. The RR didn’t print. I was focusing on my 2 yr old when the receipt was printing. I thought I saw the RR print, but the cashier claimed it didn’t print and that was because I had used a $1 RR on the transaction. Hmm. Could that by why, Hip? The $1 RR I used was from a transaction last week.
Anyway, the manager ended up giving me a $10 gift card, so it worked out in the end. But I think the cashier might have pocketed my RR??!!!

I went to the Walgreens by my house last night, no hair dryers left. I called another 1 this am and they had some. I requested they hold 1 for me and I went within the hr. The clerk rang it up and said it was wrong….it should be $19.99, I said no that was right $12.99, she called someone and they told her not to worry about it. I handed her my 9.00 RR and paid the balance. When the 10.00 RR printed out, you should of seen her face! I said that is why I called to hold one, you can’t beat $2.99 for a hair dryer!!!! I think she was going to buy one herself after that. Gotta go check out the TP next! Thanks for all you do and enjoy your freezer.

I got the hair dryer in hot pink. Maybe my daughter will be enticed to do some grooming. Happy happy!

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yay! I’ve needed a new hair dryer for a long time but never could justify spending $20.00 or more on a new one… I got my pink one today for a few dollars!

  9. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I couldn’t find this in my Walgreens (the night shift workers are totally unhelpful). It is kinda a small Walgreens, but does anyone know where it would be located???

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My $10 RR didn’t print, and the manager I just talked to told me that the RR wasn’t programmed into the system, and that they just got a memo about it this morning with a code to make it print. Hope this helps some of you who are not getting yours to print!

I just wanted to share that I went in on Sunday and these were all gone (so I thought!) So, I was over in the area and decided to see if they had gotten anymore in stock. I asked a lady and she showed me an end cap display that had a few of the pink hairdryers and straighteners! They weren’t even marked at the $12.99 price but the hairdryer rang up as $12.99 and printed the $10 RR! What makes it even better is that I got a bottle of the Ecotrin (it is $2 and get $2 RR) and used a $2 coupon. So my total oop was $12.99 and I got $12 RR back! Yay, $0.99 hairdryer!
Just thought that I would share in case someone else’s store might have more on an end cap display!

We tried this deal on Thursday, and I wonder if the computer has fixed the glitch, because it rang up s 12.99, but no RR. When we pointed it out to the manager, she checked and said that she would have to charge me the 19.99 price in order to recieve the RR…..Didn’t know what else to say. Oh well!

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I got my pink hairdryer today. There were two on the shelf with price marked at $19.99. It rung up at $12.99 and printed a $10 RR. Just wanted to let those of you who wanted to do this but hadn’t yet that it worked for me today.

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)
