Numerous readers are having issues with being able to stack a Target coupon and manufacturer coupon together on one item. Well, the good news is that Target’s coupon policy clearly states that you can use both coupons together on one item. Their policy also states that if the value of the coupon is higher then the value of the item, then they can adjust the coupon down. Plus, their coupon policy in now available to view online here! Yay! Print it off and keep it with you every time you shop at Target. You also may want to read more about the coupon issues people have been encountering and what can be done about it here.

**Also, Target is now giving a $0.05 credit for each reusable bag you use when checking out! I’m excited about this. It’s just another great way we’ll be able to save at Target. I would call ahead to make sure your local Target is participating.

  2. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The Walmart Toy Guide (I got in the mail yesterday) has the Baby Alive Whoopsie Doo for $24. So price match @ Target and use the $8 coupon. Final pricee $16.

Also, KMart also has their board games for $14.99 that you can price match. Plus combine with family game night coupon + Target coupons = $4.99 per game.

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sorry, OT but the Kohls Black Friday Ad is out. I posted more details on our blog.

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

These regional coupons are a pain. Anyone if Florida know where the Duncan Hines cpn is? Its not in the 10/11 ss here. Thanks!

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My Walmart has told me numerous times that they will not take a target coupon because they need to see the price that target is selling the item for.. Its crazy and makes no sense to me. So after arguing their policy, I gave up cause I was not getting anywhere. So for the tag readers I will just go to Target and purchase them. It is alot less hassle for me

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    anony 10:36-
I agree with you, walmart is a pain and rude about couponers they treat people who price match and use coupons etc… like we’re some kind of bums from hobo town looking to steal from a good name company or something.

First off – I don’t even want to go into the dishonesty of walmart practices. I used to work there and let me tell you roll backs are not what they seem, they are a misconception of the truth.

They raise the prices for about 2 weeks, then lower them back to original price and call it a roll back, they even do this with sale prices.

As far as trying to make sure the prices are the same; walmart pays a whole lots less for their inventory – so they make more money on sales. So, even if they honor the target Q and the MFG Q, walmart still makes mor emoney off the sale than target by making the price exactly the same as target would sell it to you.

So, if they sell you the item for less – basically, honoring the target Q and the MFG Q using their reg price – the loss is equal to that of target’s loss.

People who work at walmart are not really nice as they are treated badly in most all cases by the company. So, I don’t expect much from them.

Last time I had to show them my walgreens reciept to show wags honored a wags Q and a MFG Q at the same time for one item. (with filler) Walmart cashiers and CSMs even managers call that double couponing and say it is against policy.

I got tired of calling corportate and having them tell those walmart managers they were wrong. The managers still would tell the cashiers not to do it and in the end, i decided to just shop at the other stores and stop price mathing at walmart.

  9. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

When there are multiple rebates from different companies for the movie rebates ie the Kernel Rebate & the Pasta rebate & in today’s paper there was one from Viola meals. Can you do all 3 as long as you have 3 prints of your receipt from the store purchase?
    Thanks!

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yesterday, I bought a gillette deo and gillette body wash at Walmart. I used ‘buy deo & get body wash free’ coupon and also tried to use $1 off body wash, but the cashier wouldn’t accept it. Well, I was not in mood to argue and said that’s ok… 🙁

On a positive note, I got a couple of Halloween T-Shirts priced at .80 and some candy priced at .30. 2 tees, 2 thai coconut milk, 2 hefty zip bags, 2 bags of candy, final cost $2. That made my day.

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Has anyone verified that you can price match another store AND use a Target coupon on top of that?

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Anonymous: I’ve price matched at Target AND used a Target coupon. I bought Halloween candy at the register, used a Target coupon and then price matched at customer service to Kroger’s price (before Halloween—spent $.88 a bag for M&Ms).

Also, you can price match FurReal Friends Lulu with Walmart price ($38) minus $10 Target coupon for a total of $28. I believe last week’s Walmart ad had LuLu with the bonus kitten only available at Walmart for this price, but this week’s ad just state’s LuLu the cat and even shows a picture of her.

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Is the Wii game deal still available?

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Mr. Potato Head Spud Buds Christmas version – any advice where to find them in Target. They weren’t in the toy section with the other potato heads and didn’t see any toys by Christmas. Thank you.

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Does anyone know where I can find the toys r us add showing the Barbie and the three musketeers for $9.99? I recycled that newspaper already.
    Thanks!!

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I work at Target and wanted to give a heads up to the holiday catalog season. Target only price matches to weekly ads, not to seasonal catalogs. So if you recieve any in mail catalogs or alike Target will not accept. Also I was wondering if the 39.99 at Toy R Us for the Leap Frog Tag system is an every day price or in the weekly ad. I could not find it in the ad. Target will not price match to every day prices only to ad sale prices. Im interested in the tag system so I would like to be able to find it.

  18. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Could you use the Target $0.50/1 Betty Crocker baking product with the cookie mix too? Or does it just have to be with the cake mixes?

  19. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Does anyone know how much the “My Puppy Scout/Violet” is at Target regularly? I thought I saw it for $15 today? Was I wrong?

  20. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

the talbots….you should be able to, we bake cookies right? as long as it doesnt say cake i think you’re good.
sam….the cashier was right…you cannot use the 1.00 coupon because the body wash was already free…if you had a 1.00 off the deoderant then you could have used that hth.

I didnt know that walmart accepted other stores coupons? I knew they price matched but I really dont see them taking the target internet coupons. They did give me a hard time before for price matching and using a regular man coupon….they do need some people skills….maybe just some skills in general would help.

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Anyone know if the gcard promo applies to the glade plug ins? also, any coupons I can apply to plug ins?

  22. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Just wanted to let everyone know that I did the buy the 5 glade candles and got the 5 refils, used the coupons as stated, but was only given ONE $5 gift card. I was told that you can only get one gift card per transaction, they were nice enough to take an additional $5 off my total though. Obviously if I was using the ‘buy the holder, get the refil free’ coupons, I couldn’t do it in two transactions which is what they said I could have done. Oh well, still got $5 more off and a $5 gift card!

  23. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The Glade $10 gift card for purchasing 10 items will not work this week at my Target. The gift card is only for the $2.50 refill, and does not include the $2.99 tin, so If I purchased 10 items I would only get the $5 gift card. And the cashier didn’t like my BOGO and $1.50 Q’s…BUMMER4ME

  24. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My Pal Scout is already on a price cut for $14.99 (until the 21st) so no need to price match from anywhere. With the $5 off, it makes it $9.99!

  25. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

IF you read the rebate forms for the UP movie. You could do BOTH of them. The Pasta and a Movie one states Photocopies Acceptable. YEAH!

  26. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Aldi has The Leapfrog Tag System and the books on sale this week in their ad. I used this to price match. I the Tag system for 16.99 after the $10 Target Q and the $10 Man Q. Then the books I got for $5.99 with the Aldi’s price match. I had $5 off coupons that come on the Wendy’s kids meals bags.

  27. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Ok I am really sorry to ask this if you have answered it a million times, but how exactly do you go about doing a price match at Target? Do you pay the normal price while using coupons, and THEN go to Customer service? Or do you just go to Cust Serv and pay there? Do you use coupons first? or after going to Cust Serv? I’m sorry, I just have no idea. Any help?

  28. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

the airwick i motions are on sale for 4.99 and there is a $4 coupon too.

  29. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Peggy- Thanks! That’s what I thought.

  30. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Frustrated. I do not see the keebler coupon. Any suggestions?

  31. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The best way for price matching at target is to go to customer service to have the price adjusted then use your coupons. if you go for a price adjustment after you have paid for the item the price may appear less because of a coupon and you would not benefit.

  32. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Anybody know if Best Buy has a copy of their ad in the store to pick up? I don’t get a newspaper and would like to price match Up and Monsters Inc. Conveniently, BB is right next door to Target.

  33. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

There was also a $5 rebate for Up advertised in today’s SmartSource (Portland, OR) with purchase of 2 Birds Eye Voila dinners! You could make it “Dinner and a Movie” night! Here’s the link to Birds Eye: https://www.voilawednesdays.com/

  34. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I was able to score three of the Santa Potato Heads for $.99 each and they are wonderful.
What a nice gift for a great value.

  35. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

mr.potato head christmas is in the christmas candy and decore isle. had to ask for help in finding..great deal for .99cents with the 5.00 dollar coupon..

  36. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Here is another deal I found at Target today.

The Air Wick Compact Imotions were marked down for 4.99. Use your 4.00coupon from a few weeks ago and they are only 99 cents.

  37. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My target didn’t have the holiday tins or refills. They didn’t know what to tell me, there wasn;t even a spot for them. bummer

  38. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I also had a difficult time at Target with the holiday Glade candle tins and refills. The cashier was very rude and the manager kept telling me that the coupon for buy a tin or candle holder get a refill free was for the two items together. You could not use a coupon on the glade candle tin if you were getting the other item for free. I want to know if anyone knows of this as a written policy anywhere. It is not included in the Target coupon policy. I have done this deal before but got some blinkies from Kroger and wanted to be able to use them.

  39. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’m not finding the coupon for the Barilla Plus pasta. The link takes me to Coupons.com, but all I see on there are 2 different Ronzoni coupons. Anyone know what zip to put in for Barilla???

  40. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I tried to price match the Barbri DVDs and per the comment Target could not price match, because it was from a catalog and not a weekly ad.

  41. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    jenleic2008-

you should be able to use the coupons as long as you have as many items as you do coupons. . .
Buy 3 holders/tins and 3 refills. The BOGO coupons will make your current total $7.50. If using the coupons from the tins, you should have a total of $3.00 (coupon for $1.50). If you have the $2.00 off of two coupon it’ll make your total $1.50 and you’ll get the $5.00 gift card. You can do ten at a time and get two gift cards, I’ve done it.

I did have one cashier who refused to take my 6 coupons even though I was getting 6 items because “I can’t take two manufacturer’s coupons for the same item” (he didn’t get that I 6 items and 6 coupons), so I paid the full amount and went straight to guest service to have them fix it. That’s the big thing- make sure you don’t have more coupons than items you’re buying. If you are getting two items using a BOGO coupon, you can only use one other coupon because you only have two items. If you have a third ‘filler’ item then you can use a third coupon on the bogo items? Make sense? (I am getting Covergirl makeup- I have a coupon for buy one get one free. I have two other coupons for $1 off one covergirl item. Because I am only buying two total items I can only use the bogo coupon and ONE $1 off q. If I buy a $.59 pack of gum then I should be able to use that second $1 off q even though I’m getting one free because I have as many coupons as items). Happy Shopping!

  42. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

anon 10:57 target doesnt work with fillers like walgreens. as long as you are not using an extra coupon on the “free” item it should be ok. You dont need filler items for target q’s so there is no need. It is not correct to use the bogo makeup coupon plus the two 1.00 coupons on only 2 makeup items, the gum is not makeup! that is downright coupons fraud and i am sure the coupon will beep.
Use the bogo coupons first because they always beep, there is a coding problem with them and they have no arguement as to not take them. and the 1.50 coupons go through with no beeps after that. I think ymmv on these things too because some people may not accept using the 1.50 with the bogo. they see is as 2.50 off of two items (make sense?)
The limit on the glade is at least 4 gift cards in one trans because i have done it….and i believe i have seen a lot more on another site.
make sure that the packaging says HOLIDAY COLLECTION! it is not all glade. if you have reservations about the item scan it and it will say 5.00 gc on the screen. hth!

  43. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I was wondering if anyone know about being able to do the UP/Ronzoni rebate if I ordered off of Amazon? Thanks!

  44. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I want to do the Hefty One Zip deal but my coupon from the 11/1 RP is $1.00/2, not one. I’m guessing the $1.00/1 is regional? Anyone else?

    🙂

  45. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I bought 10 qualifying Glade products on 10/31/09, and they did not generate a $5 gift card. I went to customer service, and they said they knew nothing about the offer. (They even called 2 managers!) What should I do? Thanks!

  46. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Anon 01:19:00,

I recently received a Babies ‘R’ Us flier in the mail, which says: “Our Prices Can’t Be Beat! We’ll match ANY advertised price. We’ll accept ALL competitors’ coupons.”

It also said “Restrictions and exclusions apply. See store for details.” and I wasn’t able to find details on the Babies ‘R’ Us website (but I only looked briefly) so YYMV.

…so if you can’t find the Tag system in a Toys ‘R’ Us advertisement to price match at Target, you might be able to take your Target coupons to Toys ‘R’ Us and use them there! It wouldn’t hurt to at least call and ask.

    Frugal Friend,

My Pal Scout and Violet are already on sale at Target for $14.99 through 11/21, so you don’t need to price match. There has been a $3 off WYB select Leapfrog toys AND Orajel toddler toothpaste coupon in magazines lately. The toothpaste was $2.89 at the location I went to so I got Violet and the toothpaste for $9.88+tax.

  47. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

ACTUALLY this week its almost ALL GLADE refills and tins that are part of the giftcard deal, says so on the back of your ad and in the store, on the shelves. I did ten items per 4 transactions last night and got $40 in giftcards.

  48. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The Blu-ray deals are BETTER….they also take $10 off when you buy the 2 at Best Buy. So that would make them $8.49 each!!! GREAT BUY

  49. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

will target price match Monsters Inc @ 18.99?

it’s listed in the Best Buy ad as 18.99 “with Up blu ray purchase”, regular price is 28.99.

I didn’t think Target matched prices with restrictions like that.
