First, I just got an email from reader, Sippi, about a new Walgreens coupon booklet that she found by the pharmacy counter (pictured above)! This booklet has $11 worth of high value Digestive Healthy manufacturer coupons inside (NOT Walgreens coupons): Rolaids, Mylanta and more! There is even a $4/2 Rolaids coupon available! This coupon will easily make for some FREE Rolaids at various stores + some possible overage!

Now on to Coupon Stacking:
I was reading through all the Walgreens deal posts and noticed a lot of you are having issues with being able to stack two Walgreens coupons on one item. I’ve always been told as long as the Walgreens coupons have different codes, you can use both. I’ve had no issues stacking an in ad coupon, with a Walgreens coupon from the November coupon booklet and a manufacturer coupon. I’ve also discussed this with the manager at my local Walgreens and he has said that as long as the Walgreens coupons each have different codes you can stack them.

To make you feel even more confident about stacking Walgreens coupons, I received this email from reader, Sun:

“I tried stacking the Walgreen‘s in-ad coupon with the Walgreen’s November booklet coupon and a manufacturer coupon on the Glade Spray deal, and the register kept beeping. The manager came over and told me it was because I was trying to use two Walgreen’s coupon, and would only let me use one.

Now, I know you wouldn’t post such a deal, if I couldn’t do it. So, I called up Walgreens corporate, and asked for their official coupon policy, and asked specifically if they allowed the deal above. The CSR was very nice, and said “we don’t have a policy, but we do have a guide. She said I should have been able to do this. They allow you to stack multiple different Walgreens coupons for the same product. This is not to be confused with stacking the same Walgreens coupon for the same product, which you can’t do. This idea is similar to the monthly “cross-over” coupons we used to do when they had the Easy Saver Program.

In any event, she took my RFN number off the receipt and said she’d get back to me. I just got a call from my local Walgreen’s. The manager on duty was very nice, and said she had a $2.00 gift card waiting for me by the front register. (I bought 4, and was denied the “$1 off of 2″ coupon). Yaaay!. I know most of your readers are too busy to call corporate, but just wanted to let you know that you’re right about the deal, and we should have been able to do it.”

************************************
Alright, now for the new Deal:
Walgreens Kleenex Facial Tissue is priced at $1.09 per box with the in ad coupon! Plus, there’s a $1/1 coupon in the November Healthy Savings Booklet to sweeten this deal further (you can find this booklet at the pharmacy). …AND on top of those coupons, you can use the Kleenex manufacturer coupon available!

Deal Scenario:
Buy 3 boxes of Kleenex Facial Tissue (85 ct) $1.09 each with the in-ad coupon
Use $0.50/3 coupon from the 10/4 or 11/1SS or from here
Plus, use the $1/1 coupon from the November Healthy Savings Booklet
(Will deduct $3 for purchasing 3)
Final cost FREE + $0.23 in overage to go towards other items!
**Make sure to hand over the manufacturer coupon first, then the Healthy Savings coupon and finally the in ad coupon. If you do it this way everything will go through without any beeps!

so excited about this! Kleenex is my preferred brand and many of us have the sniffles this week, especially me. Thanks Collin!!!

  2. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’d like to try this but I’m afraid it’ll beep and they’ll tell me I can’t like they did with the juice LOL

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Here is the biggie for using a manufacturers Q & a Wags Q at the same time. Make sure they scan the manufacturers Q FIRST..then it’ll go thru with no probs. I hold on to the Wags Q until they do the others first.. Also, when I forgot, I’d ask them to remove the Wags Q & then scan the MfQ & then rescan the Wags Q & it would work just fine. Most casheers are happy to try it & it has always worked for me.
    HTH.

  4. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I was able to do this deal a few times on Sunday…worked like a charm. Our WAGS do not have this coupon book out yet (Mom with two kids baking on the front), so I was able to print out the coupon and they keyed in the number (this is YMMV).

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Can you post a pic (or describe what’s on it) of the November Healthy Savings booklet? I have a healthy savings booklet that expires 12/31/09 but it doesn’t have a kleenex coupon. Thanks!

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I did this deal for 30 boxes and no beeps. I paid under $4 which is almost all tax. I didn’t have anything to cover my overage which was my fault. Also, just an FYI, this deal ONLY works on the 85ct boxes.

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

the ad says max of 3 so can you get more than 3 boxes of tissues?

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

This is a green covered booklet, which looks a lot like the Nov coupon book, but it says Walgreens Healthy Savings. Save over $160 inside. There is a pic of a mom and 2 kids on the cover. This is not the white Healthy Savings book which is good till Dec…these coupons are only good for Nov. If you can’t find the book as your checker to put in code 5236. It is YMMV but if they will put in the code, that is all you need.

  9. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Kelly – it really depends on your store and your cashier. The coupon will work when you buy more but your cashier might try to limit you. I’ve never had a problem buying more than the stated limit (as long as I don’t go overboard).

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

And just for the record, I was ANON 11:10 and NO I DID NOT CLEAR THE SHELVES. I know that is a hot topic around here so just wanted to make sure you all know, there were at least another 30 boxes on the shelves. Just to clarify.

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Thanks, Tiffany!

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So I’m not the only one having trouble at Walgreens! A couple of weeks ago, when I was purchasing some toothpaste (don’t remember the deal), the register beeped at my manufacturer coupon. The checker told me, “It was too good of a deal. That’s why it beeped.” She was serious, not joking at all!!! Since then I have started going to another Walgreens just up the street from there and have had no trouble at all.

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Anon 11:10 dont feel bad i went to target and got 18 boxes, their were some one the shelf left. But honestly if we dont clear them out soemone is going to a lady was behind me with a good stack of coupons too so it made me not feel like i was wrong oh and my target was so nice he had to manually put in all of the coupons i was very thankful.

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I know my local Wags will still not let me stack 2 different Wags coupons. What is the number to corporate? Should I just have them talk to corporate when I’m in the store? How should I go about it in a nice way? would love input so I can start doing these deals at my Wags.

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Whitney…there is a picture on my blog under the Walgreens section.

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I was told at my wags that the coupons in the November coupon book are Manufacturers coupons. So I can’t use them with another manufacturers coupon. On the bottom of the coupons they say they are manufacturers. Can anyone help?

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

“Bargain blessings” Where do you go to print off the November Healthy Savings booklet?

  18. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Anon 11:44…that link is also on our site. Let me know if you have trouble finding it (it is in my post from Sunday)!

  19. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

ok- I called corporate. They told me that all stores should be able to use up to 3 different walgreens coupons on one item BUT it is up to the discretion of the store manager. In other words it varies from store to store. BUMMER! Not sure if there is still something I can do to change my local stores mind? what do you think?

  20. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Anon 11:42…these are IVC coupons, so there should be no problem using them with MQ, like the quoted e-mail from Collin’s earlier post on this subject. Your best bet would be to go back to the store when another manager that is working, or try another store. HTH!

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

hopevierze…the only other option you would have is to call the WAGS district office to speak with your district manager. If they agree with corporate (which they do about 80% of the time-in my experience)they should be able to help convey this to the store managers.

  22. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

What is the link to print the coupon. I can’t find a book:-(

  23. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks Bargain Blessings for the link on your website. It truly was a blessing….THANKS!

  24. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I work for walgreens and stocked many shelves. We do not normally even put out 30 or any given item because of the fact there isn’t enough room to really put that much out.

  25. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

i can never get our wags to let me use more then the 1 man and 1 wags coupons 🙁 you all are soo darned lucky :D!

  26. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I did this deal for 27 boxes of Kleenex (using a Palmer $.39 candy to cover the overage). And I did it at 6 stores, so no, I didn’t clear the shelves either.

Instead, I actually told quite a few people about the deal!

  27. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

These are small upright boxes. At my wags where I shop they are on the top shelf of the kleenex and there is plenty of space to put out possibly even 50. As well, they had a separate display in the front being that they are on sale in the ad.

  28. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I forgot to use my $5 rr from a product and it expired yesterday..what should i do now??
Will walgreens accept expired rr’s like CVS??…My CVS do accept expired EB till one month.

  29. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

As I was purchasing, I was explaining the deal to the store manager and the pharmacist and they both went and grabbed several boxes for themselves. The manager even mentioned that employees get 15% off so it would be even cheaper, however he didn’t have the 50c coupon. If I had any, I would have shared.

It’s always nice to share a great deal with others.

  31. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks colin. But I have a problem. When you buy something and you have a coupon for more than the sale price like in this deal, do the cahsiers have to take the full ammount off? For example, if I buy cereal for 2.50 and I have a coupon for 3.00 off that cereal, should they take the full 3 off my bill? Because there have been times that they haven’t done that…and I’m too chicken to say anything! What do you say?

  32. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I successfully used two Wags coupons plus the $3 mfg cpn on the Comtrex and got $2 overage today. I was shocked!

Thirty boxes of tissues?! What do you do with thirty boxes of tissues? But at least the Wags Kleenex deal actually requires some effort–not to mention potentially being shot down by cashiers/managers AND looking like some kind of crazy hoarder with perpetual postnasal drip. Because it requires effort, not everyone’s going to do it, so chances are good the shelves won’t perpetually be wiped clean. Eighteen Target wipes, however, is low-hanging fruit. But I’m glad you beat the other lady with the stack of coupons, Anon 11:24! But if she gets between you and those wipes on your next freebie run, just run her over with your cart. Great values to instill in your children (and I do hope you have many, many children if you are getting eighteen of these).

  33. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Anon 12:50…I have been able to use an expired RR, but it depends on your cashier and store.

  34. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Well since tissue doesn’t expire i don’t think 30 boxes is too many. Plus how do you know she doesn’t share with friends and family?

  35. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

people buy stuff in bulk its just the way it is esp in this economy and she might be giving this stuff away to local church or schools or just friends.. chill out people

  36. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I bought all the trident gum does that make me a bad person?

  37. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I cant find the coupon anymore. I think it is already gone. I have tried 90210 35124 and 49684 Any help on where it still is. While I was on the first zip code I found it and went to print and nothing then went back through and it was gone.

  38. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Ummm. . . . Many stores–like most Walgreens, for instance–carry less than 30 boxes of Kleenex on the shelf.

Whatever. I’m sure such folks max out charity donations each year. Or maybe they’ll end up in gift baskets with Glade tins and Target wipes. ; )

  39. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

What is the November Healthy Savings booklet?

  40. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You girls are cracking me up. I love the comment about the gift basket with Glade Tins, Kleenex & Target wipes. You know someone will do it, it just better not be a gift for me.

30 tissues is a bit crazy- where do you store that many? Maybe they are donating them to a school.

  41. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yup I have my giftbasket for my mom and guess what everything i got IS FREE.. wonder if she will disown me?? hmmm

  42. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

If you happen to have sick children with the flu, swine flu, then bad colds then sinus infections you can go through a lot of tissues very quickly. I have sent ten boxes to my son at college and he neeeds more already.Sure beats spreading germs. If you need them then you have them very affordably, if not be thankful.

  43. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Anon 1:52…scroll up in the comments 🙂

  44. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

ok im reading on other blogs that Wags isnt going to allow to use coupons with rr to avoid money makers! Im hopiing this isnt true

  45. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

yay! my email made the post! lol. did anyone else find the digestive health coupon book at their walgreens or was that only at my local one?

  46. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Anon 01:18 you just made me laugh so hard!!

  47. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My Healthy Savings book doesn’t have a Kleenex coupon! Is it the one with an African American family of 6 on the cover with a pretty fall tree in the background??? Mine has all sorts of drug coupons, but no tissue.

  48. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Just some info: does everyone know that there is a coupon to item ratio with WAGS? If not, then here’s some insight….. WAGS will take your coupons in a certain order they will work, as well as you must have the same amount of coupons to items or less. i.e. if you have 10 items and 13 coupons you need 3 cheap fillers to use them all. Sometimes that could be the reason the coupons are beeping at you. HTH.

  49. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

OOps let me clarify….. Coupon to item ratio only applies to Manufacturer coupons and RR, not WAGS store coupons.
