Just me…
Can I just take a moment to say that I love ALL my readers… seriously! I really appreciate each and every one of you. I love that everyone on my site is different. We come from different areas, different backgrounds, we’re different ages… we’ve got different interests, but we’re all here for the same reason–to save some money and hopefully have fun doing it. Right?
I know I’ve said this many times before, but I’m not perfect by any means… actually far from it! I think I make more mistakes then the average person (ask my hubby), but you know what, I’m totally fine with that. It’s me being me and I’m not willing to try and concor perfection at 28!;)
I also want to say that I find comments on my site hilarious! Last night I almost peed my pants (no joke) reading through the comments on the Coffee-Mate coupon post. I thought it was quite odd that I had 48 comments, so I started reading through all of them and I’m not kidding, there are some funny comments! This has got to be one of my favorite comments by far:
The reason I love this comment. Well, first read through the comments before it and then remember this comment is totally sarcastic and there’s obviously no truth to it. The thing I love about this comment, though, the little smile face at the end. To me it says lighten up–which I think is a great thing to remember. Using coupons and snagging freebies doesn’t always go as planned… as I’m sure most of you are aware of. If we remember this and remember there’s always another deal around the corner, then I think we’ll all see that nothing is really that big of a deal.
I know there have been some negative comments on my site, but you know what? There are way more positive comments and there are also quite a few funny comments. These comments always make up for the 1 or 2 negative comments I receive on a regular basis.
Anyway, the point of this post… I’m not quite sure. Now I guess I’ll get back to our regularly scheduled programming and a new deal will be emerging soon……

I like that you can maintain a positive attitude as well as the fact that you addressed the issue head on. It shows confidence and graciousness.
I check a couple of other coupon websites and I do get some useful tips, but they are too serious & too competitive. You are always positive and fun, that is why I am addicted to your site. Every time I meet a stranger using coupons, I tell them about your site. Don’t change a thing, no matter what a few may complain about.
Collin – your site is great. Just keep doing what you’re doing!
Well, you said people of all races, colors, creeds, backgrounds, etc. etc. etc. read your wonderful blog, but you must assume that it’s all girls !!! Well, I’m here to tell ya I’m a guy, and I love this site !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have saved HUNDREDS doing what you tell me to do, and have exposed myself…
TO ALL KINDS OF NEW AND EXCITING PRODUCTS that I never would have tried otherwise.
More importantly, I have been able to bless several family members with bags upon bags of groceries, snagged for pennies on the dollar.
It’s like I can walk into a CVS and do magic tricks. I just thought of that, but not a bad idea, assemble a crowd around me as I coupon my way to free stuff and ECB’s to boot ! A great way to meet chicks??
I also love your vids, you crack me up ! And I learn a lot from them too.
I know you hear it all the time, but thank you for all you do. Please don’t ever stop. You rock !!!

Thank you for keeping me in the loop with the deals as I am a single mom who lost my job due to a car wreck and with the economy it has been tough to find a job…so this has become “my job” to stock up until I do find employment.

My Husband and I are new to the site, and I was watching your Follow Me Monday vid on Monday, and my Husband said what are you watching? I said my cute Hip2Saver! He said huh…the coupon lady? I said ya…shes cute and cracks me up….and he of course wanted to see ;o) and said shes doesnt look much older that you. And after reading this post he was correct we are the same age…oh and he agreed on the cute part!
sometimes the comments are as good as the deals! i have to stop reading now, though, as i’m going to go bathe in the 103 cans of hormel chili i got during the last kroger mega sale. sadly, i gave the free target wipes i got last week to my dad, who uses them like cottonelle flushable wipes, so i may be a bit sticky when i get out. i gues i could rinse off with the 100 cans of carnation canned milk i got, and then the cats could lick off the milk residue so i wouldn’t be sticky . . .
Hey, that’s me! LOL! I thought it was getting so silly, I couldn’t help myself. I generally try to keep my judgements to myself – everyone’s threshold of what is ‘just right’ and what is ‘too much’ is so different. One person might think 10 of one thing is a lot, someone else might think 100 is pushing it. Mostly what I don’t like are people who strive to make others feel bad – not cool!!
I’m glad that my post made some of you giggle! Saving money makes me very happy and I totally thank H2S for that. 🙂

You really are the best. Thank you for all you do. I love your blog the most because it’s really a couponing blog and you don’t try and twist into a personal one, a “let me show off my kids”. Some of the other couponing ones get annoying and I feel like they are also bragging about their perfect lives. I’ve loved your blog from the moment I found it and it’s my very fave. Thanks for all you do and if you ever get negative feedback, IGNORE it because you don’t deserve it.

hip i love you to death seriously and ive never even met you! haha. I look for you every time im out couponing just so i can be like “HIP!” your like a movie star in my world. I hate when i see negative comments towards you because if it wasnt for your site id still be throwing those coupons out and missing out on awesome freebies! I never knew how much money i could actually knock off my grocery bill and i thank YOU for that. Keep up the awesome work because there are a lot of people who appreciate it. Plus what other website am i gonna hit about 100x a day? Forget the jerks… it takes all kinds to make the world go round!
This is the best site EVER…this is the only place I know where a $0.50 coupon can turn into a big controversy! On a serious note, I’m thinking about buying a 3rd computer so I can print 2 more $0.50 coupons!!!!

But I’m must say I’m shocked at the horrible language people use to comment. Seriously…why do we have to swear when we’re talking about coupons?! It find it offensive AND annoying.

I just had to get in on this conversation…you are wonderful! Really, I tell everyone to check your site. I look at couponing as a board game. Sometimes you get a “good” card like a cashier puts through all of your coupons and gives you $1,000 overage and sometimes a “bad” card like you get a snotty cashier who refuses all of your coupons. With trying deals that come through quickly, you always take the chance that they will change the deal or it is not exactly what they say it is at first. So bring them on…we will try them with you and laugh about the outcome. Thanks for all you do.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU for all you do here. I check your site about 100 to 1000 times a day. I work full time and even check it at work. I have nothing better to do anyway!
I have saved 1000’s of dollars since checking your site out about 6 to 8 months ago. I changed the way I coupon and even went to a binder. I love Love LOVE the binder system. I am now trying to teach my mom how to use coupons and shop cvs. It is so So SO hard to get through to her but with the help of this site I know I/ WE can.

That was a hilarious comment. I don’t drink Coffee-Mate, either, but when I noticed all the comments, I had to read them. I’m glad people have a sense of humor about such things!
Also, I just wanted to remind everyone that due to the short, impersonal nature of comments, they can easily be misinterpreted or misconstrued, so don’t take it personally. Oftentimes, I think comments are labeled as negative whenever commenters stray from whatever the established line of thought is regarding that particular topic. Sure, there are some nasty, ill-informed ones, but most just add to the dialogue, which makes it infinitely more interesting for me.

I love your site. There are always negative people out there. Anyone who has a blog has had the occasional bad feedback. But honestly – they don’t have to read it!!! That’s the funny part – you have a choice, you don’t have to come to this site! Everyone makes mistakes, no need to worry there.
I didn’t read all the comments here- ( I have couponing to do, no time!)- but those other comments on the Coffee Mate would make a great skit for Penelope on SNL. So funny!
