Terrible! I have tried everything to get my picts uploaded and it isn’t working. I give up!
It took a REALLLLLLY long time but I just put my order through, at 3pm EST and it’s still working.
I don’t know what is going on. I think there site is having a hard time keeping up. I took the time to upload my photos, but once I create the book, a screen pops up that says they are experiencing technical difficulties. Bummer! I was really excited to make this 🙁

According to one of the live chat people, they are experiencing overload & their developers are working to resolve the problem in the next few hours. Hope the code will still work!
same error message for me too! I was debating to do this or not and when I saw all of the recent positive comments, I decided to go for it…and it’s nap time, my only chance to do these type of things. Hopefully we’ll get our chance soon!

I just uploaded the pictures and went to get started on the book. Haven’t even selected pictures yet.

having the same technical difficulties on the $40 book. Just for kicks went to see if they would accept the code for a $17 book and the code won’t work for any other photobook.
I have yet to score a free photobook for one reason or another! Really hoping I get in on this deal before it’s all gone. At least I have my pictures uploaded.

I had my book almost done,just had to add 2 more pictures when it crashed…sucks I don’t know if I should just order the book as is or wait and see if they fix it and possibly miss out. 🙁

I received the same error message an number of times – I just hit refresh until it loaded the page where I could work on my layout. So, if you get that error message, don’t give up – just try refreshing and hopefully you’ll be able to get it back up.
I never even get an error message or a message saying they are experiencing technical difficulties. After more than an hour I finally got all my photos uploaded, now when I go to layout the album it keeps telling me it is Loading……but nothing ever happens!
So frustrating! My 10 year old niece wants a scrapbook of our family vacation for her birthday and this would be perfect, if I can just get it to work.
How much time is too much time to spend on this? I can’t afford to buy her much for her birthday, so this album would be perfect. Guess I’ll go try again!

I just got a free book ordered at 1:40pm PST–not sure it was worth the time–but thanks to Collin for letting us know about the deals! My hubby will like this photo book–even though at the end I wasn’t game to fix three captions that just listed the lame photo title! Be prepared to hit the refresh button several hundred times though! 😉

Called customer service. The gal said because of the amount of people on, the server is down. She told me the engineers are working on the problem and keep checking back.

Thank you SO MUCH for posting this deal! I worked on a photo book for a couple of hours yesterday on Shutterfly & luckily didn’t submit it. I was going to finish it this afternoon when I saw this deal. You saved me about 30 bucks! This site was indeed very frustrating, but you just have to keep at it. It took me a good 2 hours to finish it. That included getting kicked off a couple of times. I’ve got a great Christmas gift now though!! The deal still worked a little after 4 p.m. EST.

I just got mine done at 4:58 MT. It took a while, but not too bad once the site was back up. I wish you could have the words align in the middle instead of always aligning on the right, but I can’t complain because it’s free!
Note for future use: this code is put in on the last screen right before placing order. It is a coupon code not a gift certificate. I tried to put it in the gift certificate and it didn’t like it but go a page or two after that and it is on the right. Thanks H2S!
