UPDATE: It looks like the deal is DEAD!

Wow! Wow! Wow! Staples is starting one of their Cyber Monday deals early and offering up $25 worth of Sharpie products for FREE–yes, FREE! All you need to do is go on over here and add at least $25 worth of Sharpie products to you cart. At checkout you’re suppose to be able to use coupon code 96140, but currently it’s not working. At this point, to bypass the online problem, you can actually call 1-800-891-0195 and put your order in over the phone. Just tell them what item numbers you have in your online cart and then you’ll be able to tell them the coupon code (which will deduct $25). Please keep in mind that there is a long wait, but $25 worth of FREE Sharpie products may just be worth it, right?!

***Also, you can choose site to store shipping and you’ll ONLY pay around $0.59… so basically you’ll be getting $25 worth of products for around $0.59! Yay!

Stay tuned for many more Cyber Monday deals to come…

It worked for me after I called the 800-891-0195 number. They were super helpful, and removed the shipping charge when I did site to store.

  2. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the alt. # Justin- worked GREAT! My total was $2.11 but they are selling out fast. My agent said that they only had 3 of the product I ordered left.

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

  4. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

$1.27, i got the metallic calligraphy pens & a dozen regular black click markers. Ship to store & only 15 min on phone.

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just called and was on hold for maybe 15 seconds. GREAT DEAL!!! 🙂 Staples employee said Sharpie was footing the bill for this promo.

Hurry up and order, they are running out quick! I had to change 2 things on the spot.

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

98 cents for a bunch of Sharpies can’t beat it! Thanks colin

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It says they are all out of stck now.

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Bummer – they’re out of stock now.

  9. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

still can not get threw to customer service and web site still down ..

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

To answer a few posts-sorry for the length, but hope this helps.

The coupon codes I used were $30 off order of $150; $25 of Sharpies free; 4 codes for Avery labels; $12 ink rebate credit.

To get the register rewards for the batteries, you will need to be signed up for the program before you purchase them and it will automatically credit your account, is my understanding. I believe it also says you can purchase 2 pkgs per week.

I have found that for myself it is much easier for me to have my item numbers, prices, quantities, etc. ready, and then phone in the order and verify the prices with them. No hassles as to web sites not working, etc.

Yes, I love Staples and have used them for a long time!

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Just got off the phone–only took about 10 minutes! Got my order shipped to the store–only paid $2.50–I hate tax! $1.75 of that was tax! Oh well, this was a great deal! 🙂

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi, just got through to Staples on the phone and was told the Sharpie deal needs to be ordered by a phone order ONLY.
I just scored $25 in free Sharpies, Thanks Collin!!!

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

$10 for shipping, not a good deal at all.

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

finally got threw to rep .. went throw long process and then got disconnected and had to start all over

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

What a GREAT deal!! I spent 12 minutes and $1.13 for 26 Sharpies!! I love to save!!!

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I ordered a multi-pack of Sharpies, plus to Pink Ribbon ones. With delivery to the store, my order came to 18 cents! And to think I had to put the 18 cents on my credit card 🙂 Wahoo!

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

that was awesome…I was hesitant to call, because I didn’t want to wait forever to talk to someone, but they answered right away, and I was only put on hold shortly, while she “fixed” the coupon code.

Also, no shipping for site to store 🙂

  18. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

ook here is the deal when i just spoke to the rep. you need to place the order, then call back later for the discount to be taken off your card. they said a company email just went out about it and that it takesa about 30 minutes after you place your order for it to show in their system so you have to place the order then call back to get the discount to your credit card. ugh.

  19. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Just did this deal this morning on the west coast. Worked just fine when I called the 800#. The guy said they were having probs with the code online but put my order through just fine! Did the site to store for free shipping and my total was only 2.11 after tax. There is still alot of good stuff left! Lots of highlighters and cool metallic gold and silver pens (I’m using these for holiday cards!), and regular markers. Thanks a ton!!

  20. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

ugh. I have been holding for 22 mins and three of the things in my basket are now out of stock:(

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

ugh. I have been holding for 22 mins and three of the things in my basket are now out of stock:(

  22. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

calling them back now for my deal..will let you know how it works out if you pay by credit card if they give you the credit back etc…what they say

  23. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I called and the lady was SO nice! I told her I dont care what she added to my cart, and I was just trying to get as CLOSE to 25 bucks as possible. I knew a lot of things were out of stock, so she loaded up my cart. Came to 26.47, after the coupon…paid 1.47!!! Cant beat that! Thanks Hip!

  24. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I called Staples and was on hold for 45 minutes. The customer service person then told me that I had to spend $50 in Sharpie products to get $25 off. Finally talked to a supervisor who was very helpful and completed my order without a problem. I spent $1 on $25 worth of product! yay!

  25. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Was just told by customer service that they just found out the deal has expired.

  26. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

When I was on the phone with customer service, the girl I spoke with told me the coupon code can be used in store also…so if you just want to go to the store to do the deal, you can…you have to go to the store anyway to pick up your Sharpies…just a thought. I didn’t want to give credit card #, or bother with a virtual #, so I will have my husband fax a copy of a check for $.38.
They actually take off more than $25.00…you also get the tax on the $25.00, which is the correct way to use a store coupon…my coupon code took off $26.75.

    Thanks Collin…great deal:)

  27. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    yay! only paid $1.36!!!

  28. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just called and ordered. It took less than five minutes. They are shipping it to me and no shipping cost. I’m paying 49 cents!

Woot! I love me some Sharpies!

    Thanks Collin!

    Melanie

  29. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just got off the phone with them and they said the coupon code 96140 expired on the 24th. hmm

  30. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Called 2 dozen times before I got through. Waited only 10 minutes. The associate helped me find some Sharpie products still in stock. Ended up getting some mini-highlighters and 2 12 packs of assorted ultra-fine tip sharpies! Shipped site-to-store. Total $2.75!! YAY!!! There were only 11 of the 12 packs left! Hurry Hurry!

  31. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

GOT IT, thanks!! 43 cents!! took about 10 minutes and most of that is because i screwed up the shipping option of shipping it to my store so she helped correct that. my husband is going to be so happy about this one.

  32. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just ordered 7 calligraphy pens (only because they were out of everything else) and they are shipping it to my house for free because it was my first time ordering. I did have to wait on hold for 35 minutes though but it only cost $3.11. Yay!

  33. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Staples – That WAS easy!!! I was on hold less than a minute! I had to actually check out and then be credited. My checkout total was $29.30 and the credit is $27.75 so only $1.55!!! Whoo Hoo!!!

  34. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Finally got through:) Total was $1.07!! Yippeee!!!

  35. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You just need to place your order and then call. They want the order # so they can give you the credit back! I called the first time and was waiting for like 20 minutes. So I hung up and called back and it was busy. I tried 4 more times and then she picked up on the 1st ring! They are so nice about it too! She waited while I placed my order and then when I was done, fixed it for me 🙂 Thanks Sharpie and It’s Hip to Save!!!!!

  36. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It says they are sold out now 🙁

  37. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I just got a great deal for $1.12!! I had to redial about 5 times, then I got through…not bad at all. My order is being shipped to my local Staples – that was a great suggestion.

    PAM

  38. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hum, I was trying to order this online (the things I wanted were in stock) but now the coupon is saying it’s expired. I thought the deal ran through today? Should I just go ahead and call customer service? Also, do they give you any slack if you only order the Sharpie products?

  39. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

1030AM est and i just placed an order. if you do a search for all sharpie objects, there’s still quite a bit left in stock. The customer service rep i spoke with confirmed that the coupon code will not work online, but can only be used over the phone. I did have to wait about 20 minutes, but for 2 dozen sharpies for less than $2, it’s worth it to me. Good luck!

  40. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just finished an order over the phone and got over $26 worth of product for just over $1.50 and that included free shipping! I am excited to try the new metalic silver marker! Thanks HIP-
PS they were very nice on the phone

  41. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    HIP:

Love you. Couldn’t read on Sunday, but I’m back!

Deal took ten minutes. All large multi packs sold out. Try smaller packs unless you want same color 12 packs. This should save time.

My shipping to store was free. Totally Free for me. I had to order one extra marker to get over 25.00 so this cost me 90 cents. If I could have made a perfect 25.00 it would have been free. Call in check out was less than ten minutes.

  42. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just did the deal with the batteries and sharpies with free shipping over the phone no problem!!!!

  43. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

yippie!! i just got three sharpie ultra fine point permenant markers in black, sharpie pink ribbon fine point permenant markers [2 pack], and sharpie retractable fine point permeant markers, assorated 12 pack for $2.10 shipped to my house, tommrow!!! omg!!! this is amazing!! i called 800-782-7537. it was busy the first three times i called but on the final call went through no problems and the lady was super nice!! great score!! thanks collin!!

  44. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I placed my order last night and was able to call to get the coupon applied this morning!

  45. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Just got through!! I had to call a few times, but they were really nice about placing my order. $1.07!! YAY!

  46. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Just ordered over the phone and was able to get everything that I put in my cart last night! Spent a little over $2 for tax but well worth it!

  47. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just have to tell you that…YOU ROCK! I just love that you try to save us all money! I just paid $.10!! Yay me!

  48. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

keep in Mind it HAS TO BE at least $25. pre tax. so that is your subtotal. You have to put the money on your card. call their # and give them your order #. and it will be off your card by tomorrow. Mine was just over $2. Be prepared to wait If you are calling soon. I was on hold for 35 min. Then it took another bit of time because my subtotal was under $25. so I had to find something else. They are very nice though.

  49. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Forever on phone and told they just got word that they are sold out. Didn’t need them that bad anyway. Congrats to all that got these.

  50. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I had a Staples Reward Cert. that I used and had to call also as the coupon said it was expired. I called the number on my Reward Cert. which got me directly thru and fast. 1-800-333-3330. I also bought the Duracell Batteries that they have on special this week. You buy the special 20 packs (16pk w/ 4 bonus) AA and/or AAA and you will get a Staples reward for the full amount back. I believe that reward is coming in January. So, basically got a bunch of Sharpies AND 40 batteries for FREE! Gotta love it, especially since I used my Staples Reward Cert to buy all that, and got the free shipping to my home since my total order was just over $50, but paid only $2.08. I didn’t think I’d still get the free shipping after the Sharpies coupon, but I did!
