UPDATE: It looks like the deal is DEAD!

Wow! Wow! Wow! Staples is starting one of their Cyber Monday deals early and offering up $25 worth of Sharpie products for FREE–yes, FREE! All you need to do is go on over here and add at least $25 worth of Sharpie products to you cart. At checkout you’re suppose to be able to use coupon code 96140, but currently it’s not working. At this point, to bypass the online problem, you can actually call 1-800-891-0195 and put your order in over the phone. Just tell them what item numbers you have in your online cart and then you’ll be able to tell them the coupon code (which will deduct $25). Please keep in mind that there is a long wait, but $25 worth of FREE Sharpie products may just be worth it, right?!

***Also, you can choose site to store shipping and you’ll ONLY pay around $0.59… so basically you’ll be getting $25 worth of products for around $0.59! Yay!

Stay tuned for many more Cyber Monday deals to come…

Just go to staples.com and look up the stuff you want and add it to your cart (note: most stuff is out of stock). Then call the number and they’ll credit you amount you put on your card. I did shipping to a store to score free shippping. They also credited me the entire amount of 26.57, not just 25! Also I only waited 5 minutes on the line before I got through!

  2. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

When I call it says the # is closed? It is just too late? Also how long is this good for? I am very confused.

Unfortunately, they are closed now, so I am going to wait until morning to order this. Actually, I am going to try it again at midnight, to see if the code works as of 11/29. I don’t want to go through a hassle, even for this great deal.

  4. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I get the closed message too. Brea, what number did you call?

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

also the offer is not limited to what you see on that page do a site search for sharpie lots of other products still avail.

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I didn’t have to wait at all on the phone. Also they have specials on some of the Avery labels-50% off with a coupon code that will show up.

Do be sure to put your items in the ‘cart’ when you find them, as all of my items came up with a different (more) price that what was listed online, and of course she gave me what was listed online when I mentioned it.

Order all of your items first, then ask for a total. Then do your coupon codes. You can get various ones from the Staples site, as well as use various ones that you find online.

My total coupons came to $73.96, but I decided to use them and get printer ink rather than let them go to waste, and a Christmas gift.

P.S. There is free shipping if your order is over $50.

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Called the number at the bottom of the Staples.com page, not the number on my key tag.

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    800-782-7537 is what I called

  9. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Good Sun/Mon till supplies last.

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The page is automatically closing when I try to add a sharpie item to my cart!!!

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Do the Duracell battery deal with this and get free shipping to your home. Woo Hoo! Thanks Hip2save, I got 40 AA Batteries and 25 dollars worth of sharpies for less than 6 bucks!

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I did this deal earlier this evening. I added 2-20 packs of AA Duracell batteries to the Sharpie order. It put me over the $50 mark and qualified me for free shipping. But….the batteries are FREE after the Staples reward rebate! Great time to stock up on batteries with the holidays around the corner.

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Bonnie/AR what other coupons did you use?

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Don’t forget to go through ebates to get 2% Cash back

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Do the Staples rewards come off right away, or is it like a rebate?

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

When I ordered my Sharpies earlier, I called the 800 number, and it stated to receive the deal, place the order online then call again later in the week to fix the problem.

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Deal didn’t work for me

  18. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The Staples reward is a rebate-I asked if I needed to input info from the sale on the website while I had the rep on the phone. She said ‘no’ it was ‘automatic’. (I think that’s b/c it was a phone order.) I think that you do need to sign up for register rewards if you’re new to the program. I don’t do too many Staples deals, but this deal was too good to pass up! If someone else is more familiar with the Rewards program at Staples-pls chime in!

  19. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It keeps telling me that the coupon code has expired. Should I just keep trying? Has anyone gotten this to work in the last few minutes? THANKS!!!

  20. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Everything I put in my cart was our of stock. 🙁

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    what duracell deal?

  22. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

i just placed an oder for in-store shipping and will call in AM to get it adjusted. Total came to $25.56, free shipping.

  23. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Is it before or after subtotal?

  24. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

how do you use the coupon if you’re going to do the site to store?

  25. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

that was subtotal before tax. i will call them and say that the coupon did not work. it doesn’t matter is it’s site to store or site to home

  26. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

and if they give you a hard time, they have a 100% return policy so you can just cancel the order

  27. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

When I use the link and go to the site and click on the sharpie markers it just shows me a blank screen. Also when I try to add it to my cart it just shows a blank screen. They must be having issues with the site because of all the orders.

  28. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It keeps telling me that the coupon code has expired! Should I still place the order and then call in the morning? Can they cancel the order if they said it was truly expired?

  29. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    website says coupon expired.

  30. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

website says coupon expired. California time 8:07pm

  31. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It closed and it was only good through tomorrow. bummer

  32. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just spent 20 minutes looking for items to add to my cart, finally found $26.00 worth but now coupon is expired. It says there is no store near me anyway (even though there is one down the street) and shipping would have cost over $9 so I guess I don’t need them.

  33. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I did the deal earlier (around 8 PM) along with the batteries to get free shipping. The I sent them an e-mail with my online receipt and the promo code with the request for them to honor the promo. I’ll check back tomorrow.

  34. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

if you put 4 of the Sharpie® Ultra Fine Point Permanent Markers, Black and one of the Sharpie® Pens, Ultra Fine Point, Blue, Dozen it should come to 25.15… or 15 cents after the promo code.

  35. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Also told me the coupon was expired.

  36. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Bummer that I just saw this…I think I am too late…most of the Sharpie products I am trying to add to my cart are ‘out of stock’.

  37. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Just tried it this morning and the coupon says expired on the website and the # to call says no one will be there until 7am ET. I’ll try back then.

  38. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yup – had to wait a sec on the phone but got it this morning.

  39. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The deal started yesterday. I did it in the afternoon. If there is anything left, you should be able to place the order and call. Call this number, 1-800-891-0195. While the hold times yesterday were over 2 hours on the regular number, this number kept me on hold for like 2 minutes! They credited me back a bit more than the $25, no problems! But like I said, even yesterday afternoon they were limited on what was left. Good luck!

  40. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

14 cents out the door for 30 markers. You Rock Collin!!!!!!

  41. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Called this morning to place the order; no problem. Deal came to 31 cents!

  42. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Lovin’ the hold music… 😉

  43. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Place your order than call and have customer service correct it. That’s what I did. I use these a lot so score for me!

  44. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I also called 1-800-891-0195 and got right through! I pressed one for customer service, the first two times it was “busy” and then I called back. Read my product numbers from online, then the associate applied the coupon code without me even having to ask. Total was $.55 for a lot of Sharpie stuff. Thanks, Collin!

  45. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I did what Justin did above, and got right through. My total was $1.07. Beautiful!

  46. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The code is NOT working. You have to place your order, first. Then, call the 800 number for them to credit your account:(

  47. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I ordered like Justin said and I got through right away. I ordered the batteries too since we need them all the time along with the Sharpies, this is a fantastic deal! Thank you so much for all you do and thanks Justin for the additional info.

  48. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just called (8:20 am Eastern Time) got right through and scored ALOT of markers and haighlighters for .48 cents-WOOT WOOT. I have to pick it up at my local store on Wednesday, THANK HIP!!!

  49. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I waited an hour on the phone and pretty much everything is sold out. I bet EVERYTHING will be sold out before noon.
