Restaurant.com has a new 80% off promotional code + More:

Take 80% off of $25 Gift Certificates and score a $15 FTD Flowers reward credit for ONLY $2!
Just use promo code HEART thru 2/14!

For a total of just $2, you’ll end up getting a $25 gift certificate and a $15 FTD rewards credit! I always stock up on certificates when they are 80% off. They don’t expire for a year after purchasing, so you’ll definitely have lots of time to make use of them.

Or for an even better deal, you can purchase the Dinner of the Month Club. What’s that? It’s a 12 month package that comes with 12 $25 gift certificates and one FREE $50 gift certificate! The total for this package would be $120, but after you type in promo code HEART—your total will drop down to just $24! Wahoo! That means you’re snagging $350 worth of dining certificates for ONLY $24!

I love Restaurants.com but but but I highly recommend checking the available places in your area. I got lucky and was able to use it at some of my favorite local restaurants when they recently added more, but I was bummed at first by the selection.

    Just a tip!

    Just a tip …

Check the restaurants in your area before buying these. Not all restaurants take these, but I was lucky enough to get some great local places, but not all will be so lucky.

I just want to make sure that I understand how restaurants.com gift certs work… If I purchase a $25 gift certificate for a participating restaurant, and that restaurant’s policy states ‘minimum $35 purchase dinner only, 18% gratuity added to pre-discount’, then that means I can use the $25 off $35? So my total out of pocket would be $10 plus gratuity?

    • Adrianna

      The way it works is:

      >Your order at LEAST $35 worth of food(before discount is added).
      >Get the bill and it has the cost of food + 18% gratuity added to total
(Lets say dinner is $35 and gratuity would be $6.30 approx.)
      >Then use the $25 gift certificate off total after gratuity
(Approximatly $16.30 dinner if you don’t leave a little extra tip for the server.)

I know when I first looked into it it took me a while to figure out exactly how this works. Hope this helps! 🙂

So wait, are you saying the server doesn’t get the 18% that is automatically added? Who gets that?

Boy I wish there were restaurants around here that are a part of restaurant.com, what a deal.

  8. Anastasia

just fyi – the ftd certificates are not valid at ftd.com or your local florist. you have to click through the link they send you to go to a co-branded site.

I did it early in the month I bought them for 4 dollars each if you don’t get them at the first of the month you luck out at my favorite place to eat. The flower deal is a joke, I could have found a better deal on flowers but I sent some to my mother for valentines…..

  10. AnnMarie

I agree with Lisa, great deal for the restaurants…but the flower deal is a joke, you get $15 off the original price, not what is discounted already on their normal website. Disappointed in TDF 🙁

  11. Eileen

do you need to choose the restaurants before you make $24 before you purchase?
    thanks

do you need to choose the restaurants before you make the $24 purchase?
    thanks

  13. Amy

I talked with the customer service people at restaurants.com and they said the certificates don’t have to be used in a certain amount of time as long as you don’t tie them to any restaurant right away. So you can wait until the beginning of March when they reset and snag your favorite restaurant or a new one you want to try! I was excited about this!

    🙂 I found my answer
    Give Dinner of the
    Month Club
A new dining adventure every month!
Recipient gets a $25 gift certificate
    via email every month
    3, 6, and 12 month options
    Recipient chooses restaurant

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I used some, great for restaurant I frequently visit but some new restaurants I choose stop using restaurant.com annoying. Never refund given and watch out that different $giftcard amounts have different conditions.

    $35 purchase + Tax + 18% tip + $25 Giftcard

    usually comes out to $18-19

If you are in socal; STUDIO DINER is awesome! Delicious foods, no hassle and they do have restaurant.com giftcards so worth it because parties of 6+ are 18% tip anyway

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

oops I mean cash refund…however, they do give you credit to their website

    • KellyG

I have a family of 5, which makes dining out VERY expensive. Paying >$20 for $60 worth of food is a good deal by my standards. I just wish more restaurants participated. 🙂

  16. Hayden

The flower thing is a complete joke and not a good deal at all so don’t let that be your deciding factor —- but I was able to find a restaurant we frequent and for $2.50 I’ll take a $25 gift card! With a margarita and appetizer we’ll be at $35 minimum easy!

  17. What?

I second what was previously said, you need to read the small print. At some nicer locations in St Louis, you have to spend around $50 to be qualified to use the $25 gift card and some locations even say that they will add a 20% gratuity onto your bill in order for you to use gift card. If you are going to that location and spending over $50 anyway, then it is a great deal. Alot of those locations, we would end up spending around $30, so by the time you Spend $50 and get $25 off, you are spending $25 PLUS the $2 gift card price = $27, PLUS a 20% gratuity! Not a good deal at all. I tip based on service. If someone does a great job I leave them a great tip, so to be force to leave a 20% is a little steep!

  18. Yay savings!

I always look for new restaurants and this time they added my fav Indian cusine place!!! I bought 3 and I called my husband and told him we are going tonight!! Thanks Collin!!

  19. lisa

Look for restaurants in an area where you will be going on vacation. I found a great seafood place in California for our upcoming vacation, checked out their menu online and figured dinner will cost our family of 3 about $20 with the tip/cost of coupon/restrictions. Pretty good deal since I know we will have to eat out there and it looks like a nice restaurant.

  20. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Does anyone know if you can use more than 1 certificate at a time. i have a large group I am taking out for my husband’s birthday.

    • Adrianna

Only 1 coupon PER Table Per group. Doesn’t matter if you sit at different tables or split the check, one coupon PER PARTY!

They are really strict about this!

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        Thanks!

  21. ChandraD

I paid $16 for two $100 certificates! Wooooohoooooo!!! Hubby and I will have to make a weekend getaway soon!!!!
