FYI: They DO NOT refill cannon cartridges.

    • Adorned

Doesn’t include Kodak printer ink either…

  2. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’ve never heard of Ink Cartridge refils. Is it cheaper than buying a new cartridge? Do they do it the same day? And do I go to the Computer section at Walmart?

    • Lisa

walgreens ,,, not walmart. Take old cartridge to cashier at WALGREENS, She will direct you from there.

    • kim

Walgreens will refill your cartridge if you bring the old one with you while you wait. Call ahead to be sure they fill your brand!

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’ve never heard of this either. Would I just bring my HP cartridge into the store and ask them to refill it?

    • Toni

They don’t refill all HP cartridges either. You may want to call before you go to see if they refill yours.

      • Sonia

I use HP Cartridge 74 & 75 and they will refill this @ walgreens, they will also do the XL ones as well for the same price. Refills work great you just have to remember that they contain a sponge on the inside and if you cartridge is to old it might not be able to be refilled because the sponge has dried out. You can usuall refill a cartridge about 3 times, and yes it is much cheaper than buying a new one.

  4. Jessica

I just tried this for the first time Sunday. When I got the cartridges back there was a 50% your next refill coupon on the box and it is good until December. I mentioned this to the friend who recommended the Walgreens refills and she said they always have that coupon so you only end up paying full price the first time (unless you use the above promotion for your first one)!

  5. Flipfloppingmamma

how does this work??? Someone enlighten us please!

    • Lisa

I always go to ink in a blink, give them my old ink cartridge, get a full one for $18.00. Its twice the ink I would get at Walmrt for $2.00 less. Since it is not a “original” lexmark cartridge, I get a message saying my ink is out, I just hit continue and am good to go. HTH

  6. CJ

I’d like to know how this works too. Do they refill every color? My printer (epson) has individual cartridges for each color, then a black one. It’s so expensive to buy new ink, so it would be great if I could use this to save some money.

  7. MoJo Savings

    Hey guys,

Yes, it is much cheaper to get refills. Just bring in your old cartridge but call first to see if they do refills on your type because they don’t refill all types. If they handle your type, this coupon will represent big savings. Mike ~ MoJo Savings

  8. Becky

Donna, I was so excited for this until you ruined it! Lol. My Canon refills are so expensive. Thanks for the info though so I don’t have to waste a trip!

    • Nicole

office depot sells remanufactured canon cartridges. you can also buy your own refill kit and poke a hole in the cartridge & refill yourself. I would recommend only refilling the black yourself though.

  9. Mo Keaton

My hubby sells and services copiers, for a copier company. He’s mostly the IT guy, for networking and such….but we get a free copier, and free toner, so this deal is not for me….but if you are use to buying ink cartridge refills full price, this is the deal for you. Not only that, but your helping save the environment by reusing the cartridge.

  10. Liz

Mine aren’t a type that can be refilled, but, I am able to recycle them @ office depot for $3 per cartridge. You can bring 5 in per day and after each quarter they send you an office depot credit.

    • CJ

Great program, I’ll definitely start doing this if I can’t refill mine. Thanks for sharing!

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Staples does too if you have one of those close by… $3.

    • Valerie

Staples has a recycling program too. Bring in your cartridge and they will credit you $3/cartridge. Checks are cut once a month.

      • Adorned

Staples for $3, that’s sounds good. I wonder if they do Kodak?

  11. chelsea

mine doesn’t do the refills 🙁 closest one is an hour away.

  12. Karrie

I get these refilled at Walgreens all the time, not all Wags do this but I have two in my town that does the regular price to get a refill is 12.99 you just take it to the photo center and ask for an ink refill and you can usually wait on it about 20mins. check the Wags site to make sure they can refill your ink as they do not refill Epson and some other ones I have an HP and a Lexmark and they refill both of those. Hope this helps 🙂

    • CJ

Darn, I was afraid they wouldn’t do Epson. I think I need to get a different printer!

    • Wendi

They do a great job at Wags and often have a coupon in their flyer for $9.99. You just have to make sure that you have not run your cartridge completely out of ink, otherwise they cannot refill it. Also, you can refill the cartridge multiple time. It is great for the environment and your pocket book.

  13. Kari K

note on the side… was disapointed yesterday when I went to Walgreens, and some of the cashiers there now (most of them) will refuse to take two MQs with a ‘buy-one-get-one-free’ deal… bummer – I ended up not getting either of them!!

    • Adorned

My Walgreens cashier said they had a meeting about this very topic and the were told they CAN take two coupons for buy1 get 1, although many still seem uninformed. What can you do, they are just doing the best they know how.

      • Kari K

i did contact on the Walgreens home page on-line, and asked them to email me their corporate policy on this, as i cannot find that it is written anywhere… so if i hear back that they DO allow it, i will print off that email and take it with me the next time i shop there!! 🙂

        • Nicole

walgreens doesn’t have a corporate coupon policy. they have corporate coupon guidelines & the rest is at the discretion of the store & mgr. I have contacted them & this is what they told me. hth

    • Boonie

I had the best cashier yet at my Wags the other day. She helped me get the right products that my coupons were asking for then had me pay for the items that would get a RR”s so I could use it on the other products, so I was very pleased when my $64.00 charge was reduced clear down to $16.00, saving a big whopping $48.00!!! Yipee, I’m so happy w/all the money Collin has saved me so a very happy thank u to Collin in all the work she does!!!!

  14. Dorothy

I have been going to Walgreens to get ink refills for a while now. It’s great! And perfect timing – I have to make 100 copies of a game for a bridal shower this weekend. My ink is running low. Thanks Collin!

    • Valerie

It might be cheaper to go to Staples or Office Max and copy the game, instead of printing it from your computer printer.

  15. haidy

This is a great coupon. Refilling the cartridge for around $5 is an awesome price
    Thanks collin!

  16. mommy308

Sweet! I’ll be going there later. Thanks Collin!

  17. Flipfloppingmamma

we wouldn’t need so much ink if these coupon didn’t come with a full page of advertising! ARG!!

    • Toni

If the advertisement comes after the coupon, stop printing as soon as the coupon prints.

      • Carol

I have my printer set to ALWAYS show a print preview. So even with Bricks, I know if the coupon is at the top or bottom. So I can cancel out the print job after about 12 passes if the coupon is at the top. Saves ink and paper as I then turn the page around and print the next one on the same sheet.

  18. kim

I wonder if they’ll honor the coupon tomorrow if the store is closed today due to SNOW!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Walgreens closed? They’re never closed. Must be some snow.

  19. Karen

I have an hp black 56 and they do refills on it! I hope this helps someone and as one of the other posts said they do come back to you in a box with a coupon for 50%off your next refill!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

THAT’S MINE! Thanks, I was getting ready to call.

Does anyone know how to tell from the website which walgreens refill?

      • bali

sure, just use the store locator on their website and look under “services”!

  20. Beverly

just yesterday in the comment section I said “If only hip could find me a deal on printer ink”
HA – would you look at this!!!

  21. Rachel

HP 901 is too small to be filled 🙁

  22. bali

Yay, this is an awesome deal. I have several ink cartridges, just so I can refill them all when they go on sale at Walgreens! I bought my last printer specifically with an eye to whether Wags refills the specific cartridges. Note, they can’t be refilled indefinitely – usually after 4 or 5 times, they don’t pass the print test…

Here’s a list of the cartridges they can refill at Walgreens:
    https://www.walgreens.com/topic/inkrefill/printer-models-for-print-cartridge-refills.jsp

    • Anonymous

Thanks bali, saves me a phone call and my printer ink is on the list. I have never refilled, just bought but will totally go this route and watch Wags ads for sales on this. My ink cart. is 3/4 so will have to pass til next time.

  23. Mom of 3

I’m going to try this out for the first time today! Thanks for the reminder Collin, and thanks to all who mentioned to call ahead first. Fortunately, mine is one that can be refilled. Woohoo, time to print more coupons! 😀

  24. mamabear

oh, man! they dont do my hp kind!:(

  25. Tami

Oh no! I really need this coupon. . .but I’m all out of ink!!

  26. Nicole

    I heart Walgreens!

  27. jennifer

For those Costco shoppers out there… they refill ink, too. And, I got a coupon in the mail for a $1 off. It looks like the regular price of ink refills are 7.99 or 9.99, depending, I guess, on your cartridge.

  28. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

gah i have epson…i hate it …so now i print remotely to big library printers
but that doesn’t work for coupons which need a printer attached

  29. angeline

they dont do mine either i have a lexmark ink 36 and 37 bummer i pay 22.00 a cartridge so this would haven awsome i tried one they do 35 but not 36 or 37 🙁

  30. OiOi

WaHoo!!!!! for printer ink (refill) coupons!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂
As a single mom, paying for ink is so distressing for me (why does that tiny amount of ink have to cost sooooooooo much?!) so this coupon is like winning a prize or something 😉 Thanks for posting it ♥

  31. Alyssa

Yay! I will definately grab this and go! I’m always needing refills now that I print coupons all the time! It’ll save my husband a lot of stress lol.

  32. Kathy Moulton

Two fills were just $12.98, awesome deal!!

  33. Gabi

I’ve been refilling my ink cartridges at Walgreen’s for almost a year. The box they come back in has a 50% off coupon on the bottom, which doesn’t expire until 12/31/2010. Haven’t paid full price on either black or color in all that time. It’s been a great moneysaver.

  34. Barbie

GRRRR! I just went and refilled YESTERDAY!!!!!!!!!!!

  35. Lori

They refilled my HP95 color ink which would have cost $29 for just $5.99 awesome!

  36. Starling Knight

Im just about outta ink, almost not enough to print the coupon! Perfect timeing! Thank you!

  37. Rochelle

Got to my Wags today and got my black hp refilled in 15 mins. While waiting I did my other deal shopping. Spent 25 on 11 items and saved 45 in 2 transactions. Should have been a bit more but forgot to pull a couple of coupons. But not bad for my first time out and working the RR with success. 🙂 Thanks Collin for the great explanations and videos.
