Does anyone know if we can use the coupons when we go to pre-order them at TRU? Or do we have to wait and use the coupon when the movie comes out on the 23rd?

    • Shaheena

Crystal, I used to work at Toys R Us, and when you reserve, we only charged $5. So, you would have to wait til the balance to use the coupon, as far as I would think.

      • Crystal

        Thanks!

      • Lauri

Is there a charge to hold/reserve a copy at Toy’s R Us. I called the one near me this morning and was told I could reserve one but that I would have to come in the store to do it. I wasn’t told anything about a charge to have one held/reserved. It may not be worth the drive for me if I have to pay $5.00. If it’s going to be in the add I’ll price match @ Walmart. Has anybody seen it advertised in the TRU’s flyer?

        Thank you.

        • supersaversarah

You’re paying $5 to buy the movie, but that $5 will be applied to your bill when you pick the movie up.

    • DD

it would be best to wait. Your not actually buying the movies it’s like a reserve, and also you would be negative. but if you wait to go back for the movies you would only be paying around $5 for both.

    • danielle

So excited about this deal! Just went and reserved both – paid $5 each. I was told I can use the coupons when I pick them up and pay the balance (which will be $1.99 w/ coupons). They also are giving $15 off any other Disney movie (19.99 and up) if u reserve both, so I got Cars on blu-ray for $5.99. Once I come pick them up Tuesday I will have gotten all 3 blu-rays and 2 movie tickets for just under $20!!!

  2. michelle

is this sale going to be advertised in this weeks TRU flyer? if so you can bring it to target and they will price match the sale, they also have target coupons for $3 off disney dvds on the target website… that means another $6 off!!!! 🙂 $7.98 for both movies!!!!

    • michelle

nevermind i just went and looked at my coupons and i forgot they are only for certain ones… opppps. but if you dont have a TRU near by and you have a target they should be able to price match and save gas!!! 🙂

      • Jen_A

        Same would go for WalMart!

  3. Ashley

Maybe a dumb question, but as I was looking and trying to compare prices with stores that are actually close to me I noticed there is a “blue” and a “yellow” one (the strip across the top of the DVD case). Does anyone know the difference between the two?! They look exactly the same to me.

    • Laura

The yellow one has Digital copy (I think). That’s how it was for PATF.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I got the yellow copy and it has an interactive DVD-rom

  4. DD

just went to toys’r’us and had no problems with the coupon!!! Sweet, can’t wait for the TS1 and TS2 to come out, i even told the cashier about the coupon for both toy stories, i forgot to mention the movie ticket. hopefully she will be there when i go back in.

  5. Alicia

I would think you would have to wait – the pre-order is $5 and of course they are not gonna let you go negative. I went to Toys’R’Us today and did the Princess and the Frog deal!!!! $6.97 for the blu ray combo, the kissing frogs and $5 preorder for each of the Toy Story movies. I found the best explanation of how to do this deal on http://www.katycouponers.blogspot.com. This lady lives in my area, so I knew it would work and sure enough it did!! Now I will get my Toy Story movies on Tuesday for around $4 plus tax!! Super excited!

    • Mo Keaton

Thank you so much for posting this…..I talked my hubby into driving an hour away, and ended up doing this deal, twice, and the cashier couldn’t understand how I was paying $7.48 total, for Blu Ray Combo pack, kissing frogs, and $10 deposit on both Toy Story DVD’s. I am super excited to get the Toy Story DVD’s, as they are my sons favorite movie, and he’s rough on movies, so his skip, and hardly play at all. I am going to give the other ones away as presents. After all is said and done, I will have spent total OOP $23.40 for… 2 Princess and the Frog BluRay DVD combo packs, 2 Toy Story 1 BluRay DVD combo packs, 2 Toy Story 2 BluRay combo packs, and 2 Kissing Frogs stuffed animals. That makes for some super cheap Birthday/Christmas presents! THANKS

  6. Mo Keaton

Does anyone know how much they will be sold for at Kmart? In the Kmart ad, it says if you buy both together, it’s an instant $10 off. So that would be a total of $30 off for both. I don’t know if that will be cheaper than Toys R Us or not.

    • Ashley

I tried looking for the prices as well. I think I am going to call tom and ask.

  7. Craig

Wow! This is sounds like a killer deal! @ BD for 13.98 and 2 FREE movie tickets!! Awesome!

    • Craig

FYI: @= 2BD Forgive my typing abilities. LOL

  8. Laura

Anybody seen the price for Target? I’ve heard rumors of $19.99 for each w/ a $10 automatic discount if you pruchase both. Anybody know for sure?

    • Jane

I am pretty sure I saw them in last week’s Target ad, at something like $29.99 EACH. I remember making a comment on the price to my husband and we were both rather dismayed.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

They are $22.99 ea, but if you purchase both, you get $10 off your bill. With the 2 $10 coupons you pay $15.98 for both plus tax.

  9. Amanda C

Ok so the ad for Target tomorrow says $22.99 with $10 discount for purchasing both so going with that

Toy Story Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack $22.99
    Toy Story 2 Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack $22.99
    Total = $45.28
Use two $10/1 coupons from above
    and $10 instant discount
    Pay $15.28

However I received a mailer with a spend $50 get a $5 gift card so if you add the Connect 4 game for $7 I come up with

Toy Story Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack $22.99
    Toy Story 2 Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack $22.99
    Connect 4 $7
    Total = $52.98
Use two $10/1 coupons from above
    $4 Hasbro Coupon
    $3 Target coupon
    and $10 instant discount
    Pay $15.98 Get a $5 GC

Does this sound right or am I dreaming?

    • mary

You could price match to the TRUS ad to be cheaper for the movies, but then you would need some other items to get your total up to $50 so you could get the $5 GC. If you can find any more freebies with stacking Target & MFQ coupons besides the Connect 4 game, that’s what I would do.

      • Laura

I don’t think Target will let you price match AND get the $10 off. (At least my store won’t.) I guess it’s worth the try though.

  10. Shannon

Right now Toys R Us is offering $15 off any Disney Blu-Ray when you pre-order Toy Story 1 and Toy Story 2. You will have to pay $10 to pre-order the movies.

They currently have The Princess and The Frog on Blu-Ray for $26.99. When you pre-order the Toy Story Movies, you can save $15 on The Princess and The Frog.

Use the $10 coupon for Princess and The Frog .

You will pay $1.99 for The Princess and The Frog after the discount for pre-ordering the movies and the $10 coupon. (Plus the $10 to pre-order the moves … so $11.99 total today)

Toys R Us will have Toy Story 1 and Toy Story 2 for $16.99 ea on Blu-Ray DVD combo pack on Tuesday.

So the math on Tuesday looks like this:

$33.98 for both Toy Story and Toy Story 2

    – $10 that you already paid on the 2 movies when you pre ordered them

    – $20 in coupons (2 $10 Blu-ray coupons for upgrading)

$3.98 total that you will pay on Tuesday.

So you have paid a total of $15.97 for all 3 Blu-Ray movies.

Plus you can submit for 2 of the $5 rebates for Princess and The Frog and end up paying just $5.97 for all 3.

This deal is working for numerous people on Slick Deals.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just came from TRU in Boston and did the deal exactly as SD posted, it worked perfectly! My son (4) loves the kissing frogs toys, who knew?! When I go on Tuesday to pick up T1 and T2 I’ll only pay $4..an amazing deal!! I did the Kmart deal last week with just the dvd and tiana doll, I’m happy I did both actually, will definitely give the dvd as a gift and dd loves the tiana doll.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I wanted to add..actually today TRU took $20 off, not $15, I did the deal exactly as katycouponers posted:

        today:
Princess and the Frog kissing frogs toy $19 (free wyb $30 worth of princess and frog merchandise)
Princess and the Frog Blu ray combo $34.99 – $8 sale price =$26.99
        T1 preorder $5
        T2 preorder $5
        =$36.99
        -$15 when you pre-buy Toy Story 1&2 = $11.99
        -$5 Disney bonus wyb both
        -$10 IP combo pack
= $6.99 (this is what I paid today for T1 and T2 preorder and Princess and the frog combo pack and the kissing frogs toy, AND I have credit towards my pre-order of $10!)

        on tuesday:
        2 x $16.99 = $33.98
        -$10 credit from pre-order
        – 2 $10 IP
        = $3.98

thanks to katycouponers and SD and the pp for posting it!

        • janaki

yes i paid exactly the same. What a deal for all the three DVD + Frog + Movie tickets….
          woot woot

          • Laura

Will this deal still work tomorrow or Monday? I’ve been out of town

          • Jami

I’m hoping it will still work tomorrow, but the PATF sale ended today. Hopefully it will be extended to next week…..along with the $15 pre-order discount and $5 Disney incentive…. I’m not sure how to find out.

          • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Even if the deal is extended this week, the $10 coupon for PATF expires today. It might be worth a shot to still try it, the worst that happens you just return everything.

  11. Bliss Baby Designs

I noticed on the coupon it says Blue Ray Combo…I want just the dvd combo will this work?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

If I’m correct, the combo encludes both the blu-ray AND dvd. Which is best of both worlds lol. And good for me because I don’t have a blu-ray player and my son loves, loves his Toy Story movie. It happens to be a VHS I bought my daughter a very long time ago. Toy Story was her first trip to the theater 🙂 She’s now 18. I’m hoping to land this for my 3 year old son.

  12. Julia

Last time I tried to price match at WalMart, the manager would not let me use any coupons on the item. He said that the “deal” was the price matching. I didn’t have a copy of the store coupon policy so I told him that I would go to the other store so I could get the lower price and use my coupons. 🙁

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’d fight that. I used to work at a Walmart and I asked one of our store managers about that. She said yes you can price match and use a coupon. Simply because if that other store is selling it for cheaper, you can easily take your business to that store and not have to go through any hassle of being able to use your coupon AND get the better price. Some managers don’t realize that unless you bring that up to them. Some think too good of a deal for you means $$ out of their pocket. Not the case.

Luckly, my Walmart and Target are right across the street from one another so if I’m told no..I will just walk across the street and the other will get my business lol.

  13. rachelle reyes

when you buy the blu ray combo, do the dvds have their own case or are both dvds in one case?

    • Ashley

It is one case with each DVD inside it. So they are altogether in one package.

  14. Tia Robertson

I was able to get mine for $6.99 too:) And that was including the 2 $5 pre-pays. (How it all worked out is a little beyond me, but oh well:) ) I can’t wait to pick up TS and TS2 on Tuesday (Excellent price for three movies, two movie tickets and all the extras….)

  15. kim

so do we have to currently own the dvd to use the coupon since your Upgrading?

  16. Jan

Could someone please tell me if the P and the F deal with preordering at TRU is/was only only offered today (Saturday)???

  17. Anonymous

Thanks so much! I went and reserved mine today and got a movie for FREE with the $15 off another movie, it was already on sale for $15 so it made it Free!

  18. Vanessa

Is the TRU deal only for Saturday?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

According to SD the TRU deal ended yesterday, Sat.

      • Jami

Okay on Slick Deals someone went in today and got the PATF, Jewlery box (free) and the two TS preorders for $16.32. The PATF combo pack is back up to $34.99. Still a good deal, just not as sweet as yesterday. I’m going to try it here in about an hour.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The extra $20 off is on ANY Disney movie and ends TOMORROW, 3/22. Since the combo pack is back up to $34.99, if you want to do less OOP, I would just buy the dvd for $19.99, you won’t qualify for any free toy though. Your deal would look like this:

          PATF dvd only $19
          T1 preorder $5
          T2 preorder $5
          -$15 for preordering both T1 and T2
-$5 disney promo for preordering T1 and T2
          -$5 IP dvd only
          = $4 +tax OOP (PATF dvd and $10 credit towards T1 & T2)

          on Tuesday:
          T1 & T2 = 33.98
          -$10 credit for preordering
          -$20 IP
=$3.98 ( so you got 3 dvds, movie tickets AND submit for rebates, still a great deal!)

          • Brandi

Do you know if you can do this deal online? If so do you have links to the coupon codes?
            THanks!

    • Kate

I just wanted to say that I got the PATF today for the 26.99 price because that is how it is still advertised online at TRU.com. So they gave me the $8 off. So when it’s all said and done, I will have paid a little under $12 for all 3 movies.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You have to go into TRU to preorder the dvds, you can’t do it online. **So excited for everyone doing the TRU deal! It’s the best deal around seriously!!!***

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

  19. KARLA

Does the $15 off the Princess & Frog come off automatically & what about the $5 Disney incentive? I have the coupons for the $10 off each DVD. I hope I am not a day late on this deal! Can anyone help me understand?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yeah, it comes off automatically as soon as they scan the card for preordering T1 and T2.

  20. Joy

Just FYI and for clarification… You have to buy both of the combo packs of Toy Story to get the $16.99 price on each one. Not sure if I saw that mentioned.

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Just have a quick question…I just signed up for the Disney Rewards and I tried the codes and it is saying that there was an error. I am not sure if I am missing something, or if it is no longer good. Any help from someone who has done this deal would be great! Thanks! 🙂

  22. becca

are the tickets good for any theater?

  23. Heather

We went in and pre-ordered the Toy Story and Toy Story 2 combo packs tonight. We earned $15 off any Disney dvd so we bought the Princess and the Frog. Turns out it was on sale for $15, so we got it for free, plus there was a promo for a free Princess and the Frog Jewelry box (7.99 value) for buying any Disney Princess movie. In the end we will have spent $13.98 and gotten 3 movies, a jewelry box and 2 movie tickets! I’m so excited! 🙂

  24. Jan

Just got back from TRU. Reserved our TS 1 & 2. I also got Bugs Life for free. I was so excited about that since I have been wanting to get that movie for a while. It must have been on sale for $15. Getting a good deal is SO SO SO SO exciting!

  25. Jan

Also, wanted to add that I emailed TRU concerning their IP coupons. They emailed back and said that all IP will be accepted as long as you present them at time of purchase. I know some couponers were having issues with TRU accepting IP and wanted to pass on the word!

  26. Megan

I didn’t see the deal until now…it’s not working on Disney’s site anymore.

    • Wendy

I printed the $10 coupons off disney a few minutes ago.

    • Stacy

That’s strange. I got my TS and TS2 coupons this morning aroudn 8:30 a.m. EST.

    • Valerie

I tried at 11:00am CST and couldn’t get them to print off the Disney site either, says I’ve already printed the number of allowed times. Kinda bummed.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

me 3…no joy in coupon town today. Rats.

  27. Jessica

I am so upset! Every time that I enter the codes – did this yesterday and today – it is telling me that there is an error and to return to the login page! I was really hoping to get this deal! 🙁 Anyone have any suggestions or ideas? Anyone print up 2 copies of the coupons and have an extra? I would be willing to pay shipping for them…just an idea.

    • Sarah

Log in under a different accout…or use a new email…it shoudl work!!!

  28. Deborah Huff

Did anyone print 2 coupons for Toy Story 1 and Toy Story 2? I tried to print and it says I have already printed….but I did not. Boo.
If anyone has some, can you give me a call at 256-309-9399 or email at deborahsdesk@gmail.com and I will be happy to pay shipping! Thanks so much.

    Deborah Huff

    • lpenah95

To Deborah Huff or anyone else with this problem. The same exact thing happened to me earlier this morning and about 10 minutes ago i logged back in the disney rewards website and went to account summary and clicked on the links again and they both worked. Good Luck

  29. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

If I did my math correctly, I think Target is slightly better than Toys R Us. Their website has a $3 off of a Disney Bluray printable target coupon you can stack with the 2/$10 off coupons.

Here is my math, Correct me if i’m wrong.

    TS1 and TS2 are 22.98 each = 45.96
    -$10 instantly for buying both = 35.96
-$20 with the two printable coupons = 15.96
-$3 printable target coupon = 12.96 /2 = 6.48 for each movie. and each package contains a free movie ticket up to 8.50. that is a great deal!

    • Wy

The $3 off is only for certain movies (not TS1 and 2). Sorry.

    • Lori

This is what I did this afternoon.
      Bought
Princess and the Frog – $19.99
      (pre-order) T1 – $5.00
      (pre-order) T2 – $5.00
      Total: $29.99 – $20 (deducted automatically at the register) – $5 IP Coupon (https://disney.go.com/disneyvideos/disneymagicalsavings/?cmp=dmov_dvd_dmsave_url_patfcoupon) = $5.00 + tax

Then when I go to pick up T1 & T2
      T1 – $16.99
      T2 – $16.99
      Total – $33.98 – $10 from pre-ordering – $ 10 for T1 coupon – $10 for T2 coupon = $3.98

So, when all is done, I will have spent $8.98 + tax for the T1 & T2 on Blu-Ray and Princess and the Frog DVD.

When I went in today in Boise, everything went through without a problem 🙂

      • Holly

Worked for me also:) I paid $5.45 today for PATF and 2 deposits on the dvd/blu-ray combos for TS1 and TS2. Tomorrow I will use my $10 coupons for each of the TS movies and pay 3.98 plus tax. I am so excited this deal worked! 3 movies for under ten bucks…WOW! Thanks to everyone who explained the transactions in such detail:)

        • Kris

I also did the princess and the frog today with the pre buys. You also got a free jewlery box for buying a princess movie. So I will pay about $10 with tax for 3 movies and the jewlery box.

          • Andrea

Any more details about the jewelry box/freebie with a Princess movie that everyone is talking about? There was no mention of it when I got mine on Saturday here 🙁

          • Kris

Andrea it started Sunday. The Kissing frogs were free saturday when you bought Princess and the frog.

          • Samantha Pedersen

Thanks! I wound up going today to pick up my copies, and they were kind enough to re-do my receipts to get me the jewelry boxes! Pretty cute! (And man, what a deal!!!!!!)

  30. Anon

Having my hubby do the TRU deal on his way home, so excited! Glad I printed my TS coupons a few days ago!

  31. Alaina

Toy Story is not included in the Target $3 off coupon. Still though, its just a few dollars more than TRU if you don’t have one close to you!! I was just able to print the coupons from the Disney site. 2 each 🙂

  32. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

the $3 target coupon lists specific movies, so i don’t think it’ll work.

  33. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I was thinking.. based on what the coupon says, you should be able to use other coupons for the same item. (no where on the coupon does it say that multiple coupons can’t be used, it only says that there is no doubling which rules out using an extra $10 one) However.. if you go through the Disney site you can print out a coupon for $5 off each movie. So IF they let you use both coupons (which I work for tru so they might) you could possibly save an extra $10 off of the movies. Just a thought..

  34. Juli Miller

Are the T1 and T2 coupons supposed to be different? The coupons that printed out for me are the same and they just say Save $10 with purchase of TOY STORY SPECIAL EDITION Blu-ray Combo Pack. Does it need to say Toy Story 2 for that one? It won’t let me print anymore off.

  35. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Juli – yes there is a separate coupon that says $10 off Toy Story 2

  36. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I missed out on the $26.99 PaTF new release price today. But I did pre-order T1&2 and bought PaTF for less than $17. That wasn’t a great deal. But I pre-ordered T1&2 for two other friends. With those pre-orders I got two other $19.99 Disney movies for free. They will pay me back, so I’m looking at $22 for 5 great Disney DVDs, & 2 tickets. I didn’t see the free jewelry box in the ad until later. I’m wondering if they will still give that to me if I show them my receipt.

    • Kris

I had to ask for the box. The girl had forgot about them.

  37. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Does anyone know if the movie tickets are in all of the combo packs and not just Toys r us? I am planning on price matching there tom. and I just wanted to make sure.

    • Kris

On disney rewards it says to enter your rewards code on the inside of the dvd and it will give you the coupon to print. The rewards code is in every disney sold at any store.

  38. Erin

I bought my TS1 and TS2 today! Once I entered my codes on DMR, I was able to print out more $10.00 off coupons for them both. I think that I am going to go out and buy another set to have for a gift.

  39. Sandra

I had them swipe my ToysRUs card at checkout and the total for both movies was $16.95!!! Holy Deal!!!! I almost did cartwheels out of the store! I’m actually getting 2 movies (for FREE!), 2 movies passes (for FREE!) and 5 cents! Works for me! GREAT DEAL!

will this deal be the same tomorrow at TRU?

    • Kris

It should be on untill saturday. Sunday is when the new ad starts.

  44. Courtney

Got mine TRU!! PaTF, T1 & T2 for a grand total of 13.56!!! Amazing!

    • Amanda

How did you get all three for that price?

  45. Samantha Pedersen

Where are the movie tickets for TS3 good for?

    • Samantha Pedersen

Is it only good for certain theatres? Want to make sure I can actually use them :o)

      • Rachael

You select a local theater when you print the tickets and I’m assuming then that is where you use them.

  46. Shahina

I believe the movie tickets are valid til August. They are in all the combo packs (both at target and toys r us)

  47. Sarah

Bought them today at TRU in Missouri. I got two of each and paid 33.06 oop. Tax was $5.16… so I’m assuming they charged tax on the pre-coupon amount. Anyone else have this happen? Its still a good deal, but with $5 in tax, it’d be cheaper to get them at Target, where I know they don’t charge tax on the pre-coupon amount.

  48. Amanda

How did you get all 3 for $13.56? That’s great!

    • Kris

They had a deal if you prebought ts1 and ts2 then you would get $15 off any disney. There was also a disney discount for $4.99. The patf blue ray was onsale last week for $26.99 with a $10 coupon and the $20.00 discount made the movie free and it paid some of the fee to prebuy the 2 toy stories on this deal was also free kissing frogs.

I did not get on that deal did not find out about it untill satuday and the deal was over that night. I bought patf normal dvd (not blue ray) which was $19.99 pre ordered ts1 and ts2 and got a patf jewerly box. It took off the $20 for pre ordering ts1 and ts2 the jewerly box was free when you buy any princess movie and my $5 coupon took off one of my pre buy fees. So to pre buy (which is $5 per movie that you get back when you buy it), the movie and the box cost me $5.50 with tax. Today I got my ts1 and ts2 ($3.98 for both) and a bubble bottle ($1.99) paid $8.14 so my total for 3 disney movies, jewerly box and some bubbles was $13.64

I am so mad. I did the pre-buy at TRU yesterday for both TS1 and TS2. By the time I got there today (11:30 AM). They had accidentally given away all of the pre-buys and of course, the regular Blu-ray/DVD combos were sold out. The tech. dept. mgr. said that he would call me again when they come in. BUT, what if they come in after Saturday? Is my price going to go up? If that’s the case, I am going to be flat-out furious. I already called another store in our area and they were sold-out. Can I get a rain-check or something? Any advice?

    • Kris

I would get a rain check. My store did not have enough to fill all the prebuys and to be able to sell them in the store. I was glad I went in when I did instead of bedtime like I planned.

      • Kris

I really should say to demand a rain check or call corp and see what they say.
