    awesome …thanks collin!

  2. mariam

Is this coupon legit? it’s kind of weird since the highest value I’ve seen for this product has been save .75 cents off 2 but I could be wrong. Any thoughts anyone?

    • Melissa

It is. All 3M cpns I’ve printed from their website has been in PDF format.

      • mariam

ok just wanted to make sure. THANKS!

        • Sandy

I think you should print as many as you want, for yourself and anyone you want to provide for. The person who purchased 32 may have been doing so to provide for her own family which is fine as far as I’m concerned. She may also have been purchasing for a food pantry.

  3. mariam

This is a great coupon if it works though! thanks collin!

    • SavinginLA

I used it the last time when Colin had sent another PDF and it worked without any issues.

  4. KellyJ

    sweet! ty Collin!

  5. msdis

I used the $1/2 to get 32 free sponges last time at Kroger… I will never have to buy them again!

  6. Jessica W.

I had these questions too. Thanks for clearing it up Collin!!!

  7. MoKeaton

Woohoo. Thanks Collin. I love using sponges for cleaning.

  8. kelly

Since its PDF and you could print “as many as you want” how many is proper coupon etiquette?
    *kelly

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I would say “proper ettiquite” is how many u really need. I would think 32 like someone else metioned is TOO MANY!!!! When there is a PDF of print as many as u want i do one per family memeber for me is 6. this is my opinion

      • Sandy

No need to judge someone else. I think you should print as many as you want, for yourself and anyone you want to provide for. The person who purchased 32 may have been doing so to provide for her own family which is fine as far as I’m concerned. She may also have been purchasing for a food pantry.

      • megan

        Who freaking cares?

        • megan

This was supposed to go under the post questioning the number purchased…not yours Sandy. I love how they are always annons. Boo

          • Sandy

I think something is going on with my computer. I tried to post something on here earlier and it went under another person’s comment than the one I intended. IDK what is going on??? Sorry if my post doesn’t make sense.

        • Sandy

          Anyone with integrity!

        • Chaney

I agree Megan! Here we go again!… 🙂

        • hyedi

          I’m with you Megan.

      • QponLady

I think it may be a problem trying to use several pdf printable coupons at once (if they are exactly the same). However, I personally am not about to judge someone else on how many coupons they use. I love coupons!

    • Amy

I was wondering the same thing! haha

    • Laurie

I think you should print as many as you want (will use) BUT to be polite, and to not alarm the cashiers, you should use only so many at a time. That way you don’t wipe out the shelves all at once. Just make another trip later. It’s not like we all don’t go to these stores very often. 😉

  9. krystle

I wish it would prinbt towards the top of a page instead of the middle..Im a recycler!:P

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

When your print screen pops up under “page handling” change the “page scaling drop down box to “none”. This will more the coupon to the top of the page.

      • Diane L.

Thanks for the tip. I didn’t know you could do that!

        • Olivia Smith

Oh and can I print more than 1 per sheet?

          • Toni

Thanks Becca…I appreciate the tip! It worked perfectly! I just turned the paper the opposite way to print 2 per page 🙂

          • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

sure – copy the coupon and go to word – paste it and hit the enter button and paste it again

    • Marci

I’m a recycler too! I cut off the tops and/or bottoms and keep them in a scrap pile that I use for my shopping lists, etc. Then once I’m done with the scraps I recycle them! I’m definitely going to try and use that printing tip though!

      • Annamaria

Too funny… I do the same thing!! So many people think I’m a total lunatic for doing this. We recycle anything and everything we can. Have two of those huge garbage recepticle just for recycling. Just trying to do my part 🙂

      • Laurie

I do that too! It’s grocery list paper, or coloring paper, or note taking paper…

    • Laurie

Yeah, at first I thought “Paper waster!” but then I deselected the ‘center and rotate’ button on my printing set up and it printed at the top. THEN I found out that if you print it double sided, you can get THREE Qs on one sheet of paper! I’m such a geek, I was pretty excited by this. 🙂

  10. cheri p

Is anyone else having trouble printing this coupon? When I try to print it, it keeps printing on photo paper instead of regular printer paper. I’ve never had this happen when printing PDF coupons before.

    • Rebekah

that is just the way a setting in you printer is right now…can’t be controlled by the PDF

      • cheri p

Thanks Rebekah for your response. I was able to go into properties and change the setting to print out a couple of the coupons. I have printed out several coupons today and I’m not sure why the settings were changed but all that counts is that I was able to print out a couple of these awesome coupons:)
        Thanks again!!

        • Rebekah

no prob i have had the same thing happen to me and wasn’t sure why it was doing that:)

  11. MoKeaton

Does anyone have an extra copy of the mail in rebate for the $10 prepaid mastercard for the P&G promotions at Kmart? My Kmart has no idea what I am talking about, and they never hang out sale prices, let alone tear pads. I would appreciate it if someone has an extra, or knows how to get one. Thanks! mokeaton@ ymail dot com.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have some you can just email me your address snewport30 @ yahoo dot com

      • Susan

I always forget to enter my name after I clear my cookies LOL

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The only reason to clear cookies is to keep others from knowing what porn sites you like to visit

          • Rose

            hehe…

          • jaime

            LMAO!!!! :wink wink:

  12. Courtney

Thanks Collin!! You are the best!!

  13. Rachel

is there any way to make this print smaller? the first one i printed is huge-mungo.

    • Amy

Rachel- Just change the scaling at the top. I think this one was set to print at 185% so just set it to 100% before you hit print. 🙂

  14. mom2five

    Awesome! Thank u!

  15. cheri p

Thanks Collin for posting this coupon. I have sponges on this weeks shopping list and now I can save a couple of bucks 🙂

  16. Rose

Does anyone know….Instead of printing 10 copies and using up ink, is it okay to photo copy PDF’s?

    • Melissa

Copying any coupon is a big No-NO. Just bite the bullet and print them properly.

      • Rose

Yeah, I just printed them. I know photo copying is a no no, but with PDF’s it’s like a gloves off free for all…;)

    • Amy

It’s a PDF – there’s nothing unique about printing it multiple times – so this means you can make copies of it. It doesn’t matter if the coupon is in black and white or color either.

      • Carrie

internet coupons are suppose to have a watermark. I haven’t printed this one so IDK if this one does. but if it does! you shouldn’t photocopy it. the cashiers are suppose to be looking for the watermark on ICs like they do on $100 bills.

        • Laurie

How can a coupon you print at home have a watermark? Isn’t that a treatment to the paper? You mean if you photocopy it, words will appear, right? I don’t copy my Qs, I just have other people print them for me if I really want more and I hit my limit.

  17. AM

Does anybody know of any stores that have them on sale?

  18. Tilla

I wanted to comment on coupon etiquette. I think if you are taking the time to clip coupons, search for coupons, use coupons and pay for the paper and ink to print them out..then you can use as many as you want. Maybe you won’t use 40 boxes of cereal, but maybe you want to share with your neighbors, friends, colleagues, or donate. I don’t have a large house, or a lot of storage area, so I limit myself because i can’t tolerate clutter. But frankly, if something is a good deal, or free, you aren’t ripping anybody off by “purchasing” as many as you want to with coupons.

    • Rose

      AMEN, sister!

    • Sheryl

I would totally agree. How many each person wants to buy is completely their choice, and nobody should ever tell someone else that it’s too many. I shop with coupons and not only do I donate to my local church, I also give to family members. It’s my way of helping out family during tough times. 🙂

      • Tilla

they are the best sponges! i do have a current stock pile because I purchase them in bulk at costco…but for free..I will get another dozen or so. I am a bit germaphobic (okay a lot) and so i toss them way sooner than most and go through them faster. Plus I use them to scrub melters and measuring devices when i make my candles

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

does costco accept coupons? that would be awesome!

          • Mitchell Wischmann

No, they do not, only their own Costco coupons.

        • Christy

Speaking of Germaphob you should put them in your microwave at least once a week to kill any living bacteria. Wet for like 30 seconds if you have a high power microwave. I do that and then throw them away still after 2-3 weeks.

          • Carrie

I sanitize my sponges in the microwave for 2 minutes and then run them through the dishwasher on the top shelf. no chancing germs here! 😉

          • Laurie

I nuke them for three minutes and put them in my dishwasher on sanitize. I also soak them in soft scrub with bleach. So long germs!

    • jaime

I couldnt agree more. Im such a weirdo with sponges— use em 2 or 3 times and i throw their little butts away!!!
      Free sponges!!!!

    • anoo

i totally agree with you. 🙂 Each person’s own choice. I myself got 6 sponges free from Kroger last month during the mega sale. Why not make hay while the sun shines? You never know when these freebies stop coming.

    • Chaney

Thanks so much for posting this Tilla! I totally agree. People need to quit judging and mind their own business! I know I stock up on A LOT of things, and distribute them among my family members(I am 1 of 6 kids) and friends. I am a HUGE couponer, but some of them are not due to time constraints or various reasons…but if I’m willing to do the leg work and share, what’s wrong with me getting several if it’s a great deal?! If I was going into a store and paying full price for 32 sponges, no one would be griping…it’s because they are free or close to it that people have an opinion and quite frankly are jealous I think. I think we should all be adults and remember that we should not judge others.

    • Tonya

Totally agree. What each person buys and how many a person buys is totally up to the individual. Who is anybody to tell he/she that’s too many. Ridiculous.

      • Annmarie

        ditto!

  19. Olivia Smith

Awesome!! As my roommates and I gear up to move out of the apartment in 26 days (graduation) we need to clean, clean, clean– I will be getting some sponges with this coupon! 🙂 Thanks!!

  20. Toni

I think this is an awesome coupon! it’s one of the few things that I do not have a “stock” of…so I will definetly be printing like 10! 🙂 PLUS, these are my favorite sponges!

  21. Sheryl

My Kroger/ Fry’s had them a week or so ago, and if you bought eight you got them for .50 ea. – I bought 8 of them and got them all free. told the cashier it was a PDF from their website and she said “wow, that’s a great deal”. Nah I didnt need 8 but I split them up in the family so now everyone can clean! 🙂

  22. Cara

We always can use sponges. . .thanks Collin! Anyone know of a good deal on these off hand? My husband is a clean freak and this will be great !!! 🙂

  23. Sandy

WOZERS TY I’m excited now !! I use these every day. As for the question how many is proper manners? Guess that is up to the person. If it has no expiration date and a super deal I go for thinking one years worth. So for me 100 sponges for sure. Would also depend how much room you have. I have a whole basement. Thing that bothers me more is people who get and use this then sell at flee markets and garage sales to make profits. Maybe that doesn’t bother others but that bothers me personally. Now….lets get printing and shopping LOL

    • Amy B.

So you use a new sponge every 3.65 days?! 🙂

      • ginger

Sponges are a germs dream come true…they are really only designed for one time use. I personally don’t like sponges for this reason.

        • AM

just microwave them for a minute and the germs will be deal 🙂

          • AM

            *dead

          • Sandy

Seriously? I’ve never heard that but it will come in handy!

        • Toni

I do NOT feel guilty one bit about selling some of my extra stuff that I bought with coupons at garage sales ( I haven’t had one -but in 2 weeks I will be having my first ever tag sale) I do not feel guilty because, I buy the coupons, clip and take the time to find the best sales. I save what I will need and donate to my family & others and if I have left overs WHY not add it to the garage sale? What is the big deal?!

          • Anonymous

I think it’s more about people who buy stuff specifically to resell (and perhaps wipe the shelves in the process), rather than those who have an extra product or two they want to get rid of.

          • Rose

In my town there is a gal who once a month has a garage sale of all her couponing freebies and cheap stuff. She will list what she has on craigslist and it’s a bummer cause I will go to the store hoping to get a good deal and it will all be gone and she list like 50 of them.

On another note I got a deal on Aveno lotions and I can’t stand the smell, I would put those out in a GS to make back the few bucks I paid for them.
            Big difference.

          • Erin

Rose’s comment is exactly why coupon etiquette coupons should be asked. Sure, people *may* be donating them–or they may also be wiping shelves and reselling them. The latter is exactly why stores and manufacturers impose limits (and why I generally prefer stores that do–you just have a better shot at getting deals!). I don’t think there’s a problem picking up one or two each time you shop because it gives others a chance, too. But picking up more than that at a time is just asking for trouble in my opinion. First, it’s greedy (and I don’t care if you’re supporting fourteen foster children, elderly parents, and a slew of local homeless folks, all of whom desperately need free sponges), second, it just calls unnecessary attention to yourself and your coupons (let’s face it, people copy coupons all the time so why make it harder for yourself and other couponers by using a bunch of pdf coupons in one transaction?). This coupon won’t expire for a while. Just relax and don’t wipe the shelves!

        • Sarah

You can also throw them on the top rack of the dishwasher each time you run it to rid germs!

          • Sandy

Oh my gosh, I never thought of that! Thanks!

  24. Emily E

    Thanks Collin.

  25. Rachael

    YAY! Thanks!

  26. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Awesome!!! thanks, gotta love free!

  27. Rachel

I know that at my Kroger, the recyclable/eco-friendly Scotch Brite spounges are 10 /$10 (and you don’t have to buy 10 for them to be $1 each)!! I remember seeing them and wishing I had a coupon for them! Thanks!

  28. Chris

I just got back from Wal-mart. They are .84! Got free sponges and .16 overage! Woo-hoo! They DID beep and a CSM had to be called. She said the coupon was fine and to put it in as a Vendor coupon.

    • Brianna

They were .84 at my walmart, but my walmart would not take the coupon. 🙁 Any advice on what I can say to get them to do it?

      • ericka

My wal-mart wouldn’t take them either. The cashier even called over a CSM, their new policy is that they won’t take internet coupons that beep. I tried to explain that it could be because of the overage and told them where I got them.. none the less I sent them back…bummer where else can I find them?!

        • Rachael

Same thing happened to me at my walmart… I’m just going to go to Target, they’re so much nicer there.

      • Tara

I called corporate and they said that the CSM should have pushed the coupon through. My local Walmart’s manager even said that they WILL accept coupons that are valued more than the items price! I can’t wait to go back with my coupons and tell the CSM to ask Herrald the manager! He said he would personally come and push them through and possible educate the cashier and the CSM! His wife is a coupon fan too! lol

    • Amanda

Same thing happened for me – went through fine at walmart after the manager approved with the $.16 overage!

  29. maria

I dont have a dishwasher and am always out of sponges, My elderly mother in law also does not have a dishwasher, my elderly neighbor, etc etc… 32 sponges split among 3 or 4 people is couponing at its finest!!! I think its great that Scotch Brite put it in PDF format YAY! Thanks collin 🙂

  30. Shannon

Thank you!! We were needing some sponges and this came at a perfect time! Yay! I printed a ton of these and will be stock piling them! :p to those who boo at other people for think they print too many coupons. Mind your own business! 🙂

  31. Erin

HILARIOUS thread, I mean really…..maybe I could get enough to strap a clean pair to each of my kids feet so they can scrub the floor every day…..thanks for the LOL’s!

    • Sandy

      LOL!

    • Annamaria

LMBO!!! Seriously that would be great!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      love that idea!

  32. coupon newbie

i tried to use these coupon at albertsons and they refused to use it saying
    1. they have same code ( i told them its pdf)
2.they also said it doesn’t have watermark

so i left and went to another albertsons. And cashier tried to scan it and it beeped saying “no matching product found”. Still cashier was kind enough to push it through.
So i dont know whats wrond with it. I hope its not a fake one as the kmart coupon which was posted on their website few days back.

Anyone else having issues with it???

    • LAURA

WHY CAN’T I PRINT THIS COUPON OUT??? A FILE POPS UP I CLICK OPEN IT RUNS THEN NOTHING, PLEASE HELP, THANK YOU

      • Nicole

Laura, that probably means you don’t have a .pdf viewer on your computer. I would go to acrobat.com and download acrobat reader for free. Then go back and opent he coupon again, and it should work.
        Good Luck!

    • Wilsonville

I used mine at Albertson’s tonight. They are having a number of the products on buy one get one. I chose one of those products, got two, used one coupon, one double, they adjusted it down (the total price was only $1.89) so I got both for free. The machine didn’t beep or anything.

  33. Jill

Anyone know how much Walmart sells these for??

    • Margie

$0.84 – though some Walmart prices are regional.

      • Jill

        TY so much Margie!!!!

  34. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Whooo ho i got 28 sponges at wal-mart for a little over $1 (tax)!!!!! thanks Collin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • anu1c

how much are the sponges at walmart? i really need some and am looking for a good deal. i went to target today, not cheap enough even with the coupon.

      • Teri

Walmart had them priced at .84 each

  35. julie

I was just wondering if it makes a difference that they all have the same bar code? Will stores give you problems is you try to use more then one at a time or does it not matter?

    • megan

They have to have the same bar code or it won’t work. I think you mean they don’t have a unique identifier like a Bricks q. It won’t since it’s a pdf. YMMV on the store accepting it, there’s really no reason they shouldn’t but you never know what kind of cashier you’ll get.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

because they beep, they never actually scanned mine, they just entered them as “vendor coupon”

  36. Jill

Would not work at Walmart today. I never thought to check the barcode….until the journal tape popped up and the CSM said no but NO – the barcodes do NOT match on the singles. I wasn’t in the mood to fight the wording. I had the cashier void the (10) I had on my order. Unless you get a good cashier to push it through, the journal tape will say item not found. Good luck everyone!

    • Brianna

I had this same problem. Walmart would not let me do it. do you think it would be a good deal at publix?

  37. Melissa

Has anyone been able to use this coupon anywhere yet? cause it seems like walmart is not taking them and thats where i was thinking of going, walmart has told me before as long as its a manfurtar coupon and it scans they will take the coupon, are the coupons not scanning?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

They are not scanning on the single sponges at walmart. They also told me they would only take it if it scanned, so they tried and when it beeped they denied me the use of the coupon.

  38. Hannah

I used this coupon today at Meijer and I’m not sure if my coupon printed too small and it wouldn’t scan it but the cashier had to just type the number in and it worked. Great deal! I got the blue sponges and ended up paying .29 cents +tax for them! Love it.

  39. Dollfayce

I just returned from Walmart after attempting to use the coupon on a single sponge for $0.84. The cashier manning the self-checkouts claimed the issue was because the product was priced less than the coupon. She sent me to customer service because she was not trained to handle the situation. The customer service agent tried to tell me that the coupon was valid only for the item(s) pictured on the coupon itself. WHAT?! I don’t think so…I showed her that the wording clearly read otherwise. She spoke with her manager and he authorized the coupon. I wrote down the UPC’s of the two sponges I was trying to use the coupon(s) with and left.

I rang the 3M Scotch-Brite folks and spoke with an incredibly helpful agent by the name of “Mike.” I explained everything to him and noticed that the barcode on the coupon is coded improperly. Mike agreed with me that the coupon was for ANY of the Scotch-Brite products, not just the multi-pack or whatever pictured as the Walmart Customer Service agent tried to pass off on me. If you look at the manufacturer’s code on the coupon, it reads: 21200 (one of the many codes assigned to the company). The single sponges are coded with one of their other codes: 51141

Mike is alerting the advertising department of their mistake and sending me free sponges for the heads up. 🙂

    • Nicole

OMG I had the same problem (different coupon, different product) at my Wal-mart in Elkhart, Indiana. The CSM was insisting that I could only use a coupon for the item pictured. I ended up reporting her to corporate as well as the regional manager because she was extremely rude to me (made smart-a** comments to me and refused to take the coupon). I hate Wal-mart sometimes.

  40. Dollfayce

I received the new Kroger ad in the mail today and they have the 3 packs on sale for $1.88. The coupon shouldn’t beep for those; I had a 3 pack here at home that I was able to compare with…sure enough, they’re coded with 21200. That’d make each sponge less than $0.30! I’m wondering if the other Scotch-Brite coupon for $1/2 can be paired on this…

  41. Shannon

I was able to get 15 of them at Wal Mart here in Fort Mill, SC. He tried scanning them, and when they beeped he just entered $15 as vendor coupon. Awesome!! I hope i can get some more. We don’t have a dishwasher right now and this will save us some money since we hand wash all our dishes.

    • NICOLE A

u are sooo lucky I tried walmart and krogers and was told no. they asked me if I copied them?! they asked why all 15 had the same number one them. tried to explain it to them but no luck

      • Shannon

I have tried a couple more times (I have 21 coupons left) to use the rest of my coupons and keep running into a brick wall at Wal-Mart. This last time the CS lady gave me so many excuses …. first she said I could only use 1 coupon per transaction. And then told me that since the coupon was mor then the amount of the product that she would not accept the coupon & wouldnt even accept it at the cost (.84) of the product. So I told them to give me my coupons back & will try again at another store!

  42. denise

King Soopers here (Kroeger) has them on sale for $1 each – I went to the store and they said they would take 3 “like” coupons at a time. So each time I go to the store I will make sure I get 3! The store sale ends April 24 I believe…. Stock up! And there were a ton on the shelf so plenty for everyone! Sponges are the perfect stockpile item. My husband thinks I am crazy….oh well…

  43. Ashley

the coupon says save $1 on any 2 products. So can i still get free sponges?

    • Jamie

Hey Ashley… I have a coupon that says $1 off any ONE product… It printed out HUGE (I printed them a few days ago.. which is why I guess they are still the coupons for $1 off ONE and not the $1 off TWO) if you want to email me at jamiebarr2 @ gmail . com … I will see about getting a copy in your hand 🙂

  44. Jamie

Mine says the same thing Ashley!.. I printed a couple copies off the other day (and lost them.. ugh) and I am almost completely sure that they were for $1 off ANY … not $1 off TWO like this coupon says… maybe they changed it??
