I wish I knew what to order, I’m so clueless when it comes to gardening! I know they have descriptions on here, but I just can’t decide what would look nice together!

  2. Debbie

I bought 6 star & stripes mini roses for $13.75 after $20 off code. $9.95 of this was the shipping. Thanks Hip, can’t wait to plant these in my whiskey barrels with my tree roses.

  3. Rochelle

I just ordered a Hardy Chusan Palm for our front yard. My husband and I had been wanting to put in a palm and now we can do it for only $7.95! He will be so thrilled.

  4. Heidi W.

Does the $20 off apply to the shipping?

    • Sadie

Sadly no. It says $20 off a $20 purchase. Just pay shipping.

  5. Jeannie U.

Just ordered a beautiful blue Hydrangea for my side garden. Thanks Collin, love, love your site. Thanks for all you do.

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Just so I am not surprised; It looks as if the items are small when they arrive. It says 3″ and 4″ pots for a couple of the items I was looking at. Has anyone ever ordered from here and been satisfied?

    • Heather

I have, and have been really happy- the plants do come small, but grow quickly and are very healthy. I did have some not come back the second year, and they replaced them no questions asked. Save your order slip or email confirmation, though, in case you ever do have to have them replaced. This is a good deal, too- usually their discount is $20 off of $40.

    • Annmarie

yes, I have and have been very happy with the plants.

  7. Kristy

Just ordered an Empress Tree for my mother. She was just talking about this the other day.

  8. Renee B

THANK YOU! I have a couple of areas that I needed to add some flowers to. This is great!

  9. Andrea

I got a dwarf lemon tree for myself for mother’s day. I have been wanting one for years. Only had to pay the 7.95 shipping. I am so thrilled.

  10. Maegen

Hey guys beware…I have ordered from them in the past. Most of their plants are small and bareroot. They need A LOT of TLC to make it. I have two green thumbs, and can not get most of their plants to overwinter.

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

yeah thank you! I just got some beautiful Lily tree’s I’ve been eyeing! 5 of them shipped for $14~

  12. Jennifer

THanks so much. I ordered a blueberry and a blackberry plant for only $7.95 shipped!

  13. Kelly

I’ve been wanting to get a blueberry plant, this was the perfect excuse. I got a blueberry plant and some lemon grass for $14.73, most of that was shipping at $9.95. Was pleasantly surprised when the blueberry plant went from $19 to $14, it was on an unadvertised sale! Thanks so much!

  14. Sarah

I second what Maegen said. I ordered lilacs for my MIL one year and they were super small. Turned out I could have gotten bigger, hardier plants from Lowe’s for just the shipping. I thought maybe it was just bad luck, so tried again and had their blueberries die on me as well. I usually have really good luck with gardening.

    • Sarah

I meant that Lowe’s price for the bigger plants was equivalent to what the shipping cost was from Spring Hill.

      • CINDY

I agree when you get really small plants even the tress were no bigger then a 1.00 bill it’s hard to grow if the shipping was not so high maybe it’s worth it but was not really worth my time.

      • Katie

did you call them and get your money back? They refund you without you having to send them back the plants.

  15. kim

Thanks! I’ve been wanting some rose bushes, just hadn’t gotten around to it. I just got 4 for $13.90, shipped. Yay!

  16. Melanie

Thanks, Collin! I’ve been waiting for this deal to come around again. I got two Lilac Bush’s and 2 Autumn Joy Sedum for $11.63. Your items will not arrive looking like the pictures. That is what they will potentially look like.

I have ordered from them once before when they had this deal last year. The flowers that I bought have just popped up again within this last month and multiplied, so they are doing great. I also bought some raspberry plants/bushes from them that arrived as bare-rooted sticks in a bag. I planted them and tried to make a go of it, but they never showed any signs of life. I should have returned them, but didn’t want to mess with it. Gardening is a risky business. Some things work, some don’t. I’m giving them another chance. If these don’t work out, then I won’t order again.

  17. Jill

I ordered 11 of the Mediterranean pink heathers and on Russian Sage plant for only $7.95 shipping! The Mediterranean Pink plants were only $1.25 each!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I can’t find them even when I search Mediterranean Pink heathers. Where did you find them for $1.25 or was that your cost after coupon?

      • Kelly

They are only 1.25 if you buy six of them. It’s a quantity discount. Search for Mediterranean Pink.

  18. Deanna

I wonder if it’s only available online. I live close enough to visit the garden center in person so I’d save on the shipping but if I could figure out how to apply that $20 to an in-store purchase, that would make my day!! 🙂 Any thoughts?

  19. WeMo

You don’t have to spend the $20.00 on plants. I ordered a bunch, 12 to be exact, of the Plant Hoops. Also, you do not have to spend $20.00 – anything up to $20.00 is free so watch your shipping… It goes up ater a certain amount in your cart. You may actually make out better by ordering a little less – Keep your eye on that shipping cost!

  20. Kristen

I ordered a Kaleidoscope hydrangea for shipping only! I can’t wait!

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’m so pleased. I was thinking, I wish there were coupons for garden plants. And Collin read my mind yah yah yah yah. Thanks for the heads up on having to baby the plants.I ordered the Gay Paree Peony & Day lily.

  22. Tracy Kosofsky

Yippee!! Just got a peony bush, blackberry bush and 3 raspberry plants for $8.43 total (all shipping with a bit of tax)!

  23. Lindy

This is a great deal and I was able to buy something I wouldn’t have normally paid full price. White Hosta’s, I would not pay 19.99 for them so great deal. Thank you

  24. Mandy G.

Thanks so much, i got a great deal on pink pampas grass I had been wanting to order.

  25. Erin Fillare

hooray, 3 raspberry plants and a daisy plant for just shipping!

  26. Sara N.

The code doesn’t seem to work any more? I can’t get it to work! I was trying to buy two blueberry plants…Lame

  27. Jenn

I just ordered a Meyer Dwarf Lemon kit for $7.95. I’m so excited, I’ve wanted one for a coupe of years!

  28. Jennifer D

I just ordered a Bloomerang Reblooming Lilac Bush for $4.95 plus shipping. I’m so excited! I love lilacs – we moved to a new house last summer and I’ve been wanting to plant some ever since!

  29. Jenny

I bought 6 raspberry plants and two Butterfly Blue Scabiosa plants for only $7.95 (shipping). I can’t wait to plant them!

    • Jenny

I just got an email stating that my plants are on their way, but for some reason it looks like only 2 raspberry plants are being sent instead of 6, like I ordered. Anyone else having this problem?

  30. Tiffany

Yay! I was going to go shopping for plants today at Wal-Mart, but I took advantage of this amazing deal & got more plants for less than what I’d pay there (not to mention better variety)! In total I got 9 plants (Butterfly Blue Scabiosa–3, Pink Coreopsis–1, Double Pink Hollyhock–2, Reblooming Dwarf Bleeding Heart–2, Beacon Silver Lamium–1) for just $15.65 shipped! That comes out to about $1.75 per plant! Thank you, Collin, for posting this deal!!! 😀

    • Tiffany

Ok, couldn’t resist–Just did the deal again & got 5 plants & plant food (Moonbeam Coreopsis–2, The Pill for Plants–20, Blushing Rosie Evening Primrose–3) for $8.44 shipped! I’m excited to plant all these in my yard & see what happens, been meaning to fix up my yard for years!

      • Kelly

It only says one deal per household….makes me wonder if they are going to cross check addresses during processing and potentially cause an issue. I was considering ordering another lemon tree, because I technically have two “households”, but aren’t sure what will constitute one household. Same name or same address?

        • Tiffany

Yes, I noticed it said that, too–but not until after I hit the submit button on the second order. I used the same address & name & got no error messages. What’s weird is that I noticed as I was putting items in my shopping cart, the discount was already being applied without me entering the code again (I had closed out the site after my first order & then clicked on the link again that Collin posed when I decided to place a second order. I hope I still get everything for the price it allowed me to check out with… 🙂

  31. Susan

Thanks Collin! I ordered some Dragon’s Blood Sedum ground cover – Eight 3″ pots for $7.95 OOP.

  32. Erika

I just got a white bleeding heart, a delphinium, and 2 daisies for $7.95!!! Thanks for the awesome coupon code!!!

  33. Kelly

I got the Dwarf orange tree and the Dwarf Key Lime tree. Both come with soil, planters and trays!! Not a bad deal for 7.95! Now I just hope that they grow.

  34. Erin

I called the company to ask a question and found out that this coupon code is not legit. It is a coupon code from 2008 and you can get into trouble if you use it-beware! (if you don’t believe me call the company and ask, they are NOT happy that this coupon code has been circulating).

    • Kelly

I find this hard to believe, considering it says right on the website that you can get $20 in plants for free and only pay shipping…..

      • Erin

Which is why is said call them if you don’t believe me.

        • Natasha

I called and it is valid, it is on there website, and it is a current offer. I verified before sending my order through. It is a service gauranteed offer for new customers. They want you to try it out, also, I check my Catalog I got last month from them and it is a current offer in there ordering page that was mailed last month, right in the middle of the catalog.

  35. Annmarie

THANK YOU! I have been thinking of adding some plants to the yard. I have that spring itch to get out in the yard. Perfect timing. I got 7 of the ornamental grasses.

  36. Jamie

I ordered from them last year and was mostly happy with what I got, last year I ordered a Top Hat Blueberry Bush – it arrived in late fall and I planted it right away but unlike everything else it’s not growing so I’ve emailed their customer service. The other part of my order was their chocolate cosmos, it arrived quickly and not only is it a beautiful plant (even impresses my master gardener neighbor who had never seen one before) but the flowers do indeed smell like chocolate. I’m trying a couple of variety’s of their coneflowers this year.

  37. Allison

woohoo I got the hosta bargain bag, set of 8 for 11.24 shipped! even if small that’s still a great price! yay!!!

  38. Natalie

I ordered the lemon tree. I’m so excited, I’ve wanted one for years and who can pass up a lemon tree for $7.95??? When life gives you a lemon tree… 🙂 I love your site, thanks for all your hard work!

  39. Donna

I thought about this all day…. didn’t do it ….then came back here tonight. I have spent the past 30 minutes trying to get the BEST deal for my 20 bucks, considering shipping etc. And of course, there’s LOTS of things I want. Well right there when I am deciding to just order one dwarf citris, instead of two like I really wanted – the PRICE REDUCES BEFORE MY VERY EYES. I get three for the 7.95 shipping!!! YIPPEE!!!

    • Melanie

Donna, it just goes to show that you don’t have jump in blindly and snap up every deal you see. Sometimes it pays to sit back and think about it first.

      Congrats!

  40. Anonymous

you do have to pay for shipping – that can’t be included in the $20.
i know what you mean. if lemon trees would grow here, i would have bought one.

    • Natasha

lol! Lemon trees can be grown inside all year round. I have a dwarf lemon and lime tree in my front entry way and we love them. They are small and perfect corner foiage and have a purpose….my kids love it when they can “polinate” them with q tips and pretend to be bees.

  41. Sandy

    Offer expired.

  42. Natasha

Just ordered 2 Top Blueberries bush with planters for my deck for $9.95 total!!!! Love it! Thanks a lot! I have ordered Clematis from here and this will be there 3rd summer and are already looking very full, lush and gorgeous and it’s only April in Minnesota! This is a established and trustable nursery.

  43. jinx2

worked for me. i just got a dwarf banana tree and dwarf naval orange tree for $7.95! i always get their catalog and have been wanting to get a couple of indoor trees and this deal was perfect. thanks!

  44. Mick

My order went through but today they sent me an email canceling the order because the offer was not valid. 🙁

  45. Kelly T

If this code is invalid, and the offer has expired, I wonder why they can’t get their webmaster to fix the website to make it stop working. It’s amazing when a company tries to generate business through a promotion, and forgets that there are BILLIONS of people who may potentially utilize it.

  46. Mary

Great, thank you so much! I had a small problem with my order. I got to the $20 amount, clicked on checkout, and saw that the shipping was $9.95. I then put in the discount code, and the shipping changed to $12.95! I called right away, and a very nice person had me submit my order, then told her the order number and she applied an additional $3 credit. I don’t think she really even understood my problem, but knew I was unhappy, so she just gave me the credit. Nice customer service! She also verified that the offer was valid, so I’m not sure what happened with “Mick.”

  47. Judy

I placed an order on Monday the 19th, and just got an e-mail today saying this coupon has expired and they cancelled my order

  48. Krista

Not sure what happened with the expired coupons, because they are still advertising it on the banner on their web page. I ordered 18 reblooming daylilies and a white feather hosta for less than $16.00! We’ll see!

  49. Amy B.

ALERT: For those of you that ordered when the shipping was still low ($7.95 or $9.95) check your accounts because they tried to charge the $12.95 anyway. My shopsafe number protected me and the charge was declined but I had to call and they were reluctant to reduce the price at first. Call if you were charged wrong!
