    I just checked my bank balance, The Company Store has debited $1 and also $13.95 from my account; however, my receipt clearly states $5.95. I have e-mailed customer service, if they don’t refund my account I will call my bank to cancel the charge. Be warned – everyone…check your credit card charges.

      That should be a pending charge when the item actually ships it should change to $5.95… it’s like when you go to a restaurant and they always charge more to your card but then it falls to the correct amount a few days later when it goes through.

        i have never ever had a restaurant charge my card more than the actual purchase, and I’m a stickler on checking my acct about 5 times a day. The only place that does that, and has it posted that they do it, is the gas station. They either put a 50, 75, or 100 dollar hold on many gas purchases. So far, the charges pending on my acct for the clothing store are correct, knock on wood. If they change that, I’ll cancel the orders and have my bank refuse the charges as I have receipts stating the totals.

    I took out the shorts and added other items and it worked! That was so frustrating. UGH!!!! I love the idea of free items but I have been on this site for over an hour and a half!

    Well I would rather not wait and see if a surprise charge posts to my card. Does anybody know if you can cancel your order w/in a certain time frame?

      nevermind, I think I found it. Since I ordered it tonight I’m guessing it hasn’t been shipped. So fingers crossed I can cancel it with no problems.

    Yeah it charged me eight something on one order and thirteen something on the other order. I was mad then I saw on my email “applicable taxes and handling will be added at time of shipping”. I guess I’ll never be doing this again! It clearly says 5.95 but then it says that too.

    Okay, so what do we do if our receipt shows ZERO and yet they charge our credit card/debit card?? Do we just call our credit card/debit card company & will they remove the charges? Anyone know? Thanks!!

    HU. I just got off the phone with The Company Store. All the orders will be canceled as there was a glitch in their system even if you see a charge in your bank account it will not be authorized and will not go through. They were very apologetic about this big fiasco.

      WOW, that is a shame that they are canceling ALL orders- this feels like another KMart fiasco and they got publicity to boot!!! 🙁

    Well i woke up upset that i didnt get my order in last night ( was on the site almost 2 hours but my daughter is teething and wouldnt let me do much of anything so i went to lay down with her and needless to say fell asleep.)and Now the promo code is invalid, but after reading all these surprise charges, im glad i didnt place an order. ..Though i REALLY loved some of their stuff.

      surprise charges & surprise cancellations??! I hate it when companies cancel my order. I get so excited & then plan on it coming. so disappointing. incorrect charges? even worse! It makes me not want waste time looking at their site again.

    I just called the company and they said that there was an error with that code and that all the orders placed under that promo code were canceled.

    Cancelled my orders this morning. After reading the comments, not sure I want to deal with wrong charges on my card that were not listed in the confirmation email. No worries. You win some, you lose some:)

    I checked my bank account this morning and there was a charge from The Company Story for $13.95, even though my total was only $7.91. I came straight to Hip2Save to see what the issue was, glad I am not the only one!

      I emailed the company and asked them to cancel my order. I got a reply back today saying it was canceled and no charges will be made.

    I just checked on the progress of my order and two of the items say that they are discontinued but one other item seems to be in progress. I guess I just paid $5.95 for a pair of pants. Oh well! No big deal!

    OK….Deal was to to good to be true….not valid on sale or clearance merchandise …..Got the email confirmation….it was the lower price then looked at my bank statement it was the highest number. I called and explained the situation and they told me it had to be the item of the day ADDED to a reg price item. She also told me the system was spitting orders back out today in record numbers. Everyone might want to check their bank statements. If you did get it congrats!

    If anybody got charged more than they should I suggest cancelling it because i just off the phone with a lady and she told me that the promo code was not supposed to be used on clearance items……….bummer! It would’ve been a cute gift for my niece.

        Actually I purchased two outfits from “the sale of the day” items. I noticed that my cc was overcharged even though it was on back-order. When I called, the lady told me that I couldn’t use the code on clearance item……..so I’m guessing the sale of the day is considered as clearance…….this is so confusing……glad its over. Now I can go to kohls and find a cute outfit from their clearance section. : )

    This is the email I got from them ” Unfortunately, the coupon that was used has since been discontinued due to it going viral. The sites that were promoting this discount are not affiliated with The Company Store. When it did go viral not all of the terms and conditions of the discount were included, and we will only be honoring the official discount that includes all of the terms and conditions. The promotion did not apply to past purchases, as payment on any credit card account, Charisma products, clearance, Company Kids merchandise, gift cards, custom shop, club memberships and could not be combined with any other offer. ” Hope that helps!!

    I didn’t buy any clearance items; I bought the boys and girls shirts that had free shipping (so I paid nothing). I never received an email canceling my order. Maybe my order went through?

      I just signed into my Company Store account. It says my orders are being processed, but the order totals are full price (the $20 discount is not shown). I checked my credit card, and I have not been charged anything. I guess I’ll wait to see if I get the clothes free or if my card gets charged (in which case I’ll cancel my order). I still haven’t gotten a cancellation email.

    I was charged the “correct” amount, but when I logged in to check my order, it didn’t exist. Oh, well. I never get too excited over these. That way I’m not disppointed when the “Hip2Save effect” occurs. So many couponers finding a great deal, and a company isn’t ready for Collin’s following! lol 😉 I’m waiting for the charge to be reversed or my order arriving!

    My back account also showed a different charge than my receipt, so I called and within just a couple of minutes, my order was cancelled. Didn’t even push it. Not worth it, especially as there will be other deals that won’t be so glitchy that will come around.

    Yes, I placed an order totally free…. received the confirmation with the -0-. This morning there is a pending debit on my card of $10.98 and I emailed the company – replying right back off of the -0- confirmation statement. I told them they had no authorization to charge my card as indicated by their own confirmation – so don’t do it. I received an email this afternoon that my order had been “canceled as requested”. Haha……that’s not what I requested, but at least no charge.
    We get so many good deals from Hip….this is no sweat at all!

    I just got off the phone with the company store because I saw a $10 extra charge on my account. The lady I talked to said that it was supposed to be a coupon code for only college students for certain apparel items or something like that but the code went viral. She said they had to cancel around 500 orders. She did say that whatever charge I see on my account will be recredited to my account in the next few days. So if you were overcharged be looking for it to be credited back on your account soon.

    Again, really sorry PR on their part. Don’t they know if they offer a code via the internet, it’s likely to get passed on and on and on. 500 orders? So What??? Do the right thing and honor the orders, gain some new customers. They “put off” many more customers by not honoring their deals. But that’s just me…….

    Very disappointed in The Company Store. I usually do not leave comments (ALL of my experiences with hip2save.com deals have been wonderful), but The Company Store deal was just NO fun! I called customer service due to the amount they charged me (3X what my total was), and they did confirm it was a pending charge – which I figured. However, I was then informed, after I called mind you, that my entire order was being cancelled due to the fact that they ALL of my items had been discontinued. Just not pleased with my experience with The Company Store at all. At least I did try!!!

    ok…update… so i just called the nice rep at 800-323-8000…he said the code went viral…hmmm. I said “what” he then continued and he said the coupon went out to college students(how many of those seriously need this coupon code?)anyway he said all orders have been canceled because the coupon stated no clearance items, sale items, or discounted merchandise. The code should have never been let loose on the internet. If this is not resolved quickly I will dispute the charge. Then he also stated that money was never taken out of the banks that it was an authorization. Weird since my account shows 17.56 taken out…The lesson here….If it sounds too good to be true it probably is….Make sure you follow up on this so you get your money back…Thanks Collin for All You Do

      How odd the coide was for college students when it had to include a deal of the day, which was little kids clothes. Odd – I think they need to get there stories straight, we are all hearing different stories from them.

    Ugggg…just got off the phone with a horrible CS rep! Like most of you, my credit card was overcharged. The rep yelled at me asking where i got the code from!!! Anyway, the CC was overcharged, the item shipped and he said they will charge me the non-discounted amount until I return the item! How can a company legally charge me an unauthorized amount? I wouldn’t have cared as much if they just canceled my order, but to overcharge and say oops to bad it already shipped, angers me! Sounds like credit card fraud to me!! Off to write my complaint on BBB…I hope many of you will too!

    I called this morning and was told to refuse the item to get refunded. I asked to speak to a manager. The CS manager refunded me the amount so all I had to pay was the shipping $5.95. It might be worth a try to do that. What a crock that they would be allowed to charge more once we approved the total upon confirming our order, they could’ve asked if we wanted to keep the items before they were shipped. What a tricky way to increase their sales for this quarter. I won’t be shopping with them ever again!!

      I just called and got the same response, “refuse the package and pay the shipping”. This was unacceptable to me since I had no way of finding out the original terms and conditions. Should I stop online buying with codes because I don’t know what the original terms were? Also, I figure I should be able to count the website to tell me what they are, right? I asked to speak to a customer service manager and she told me that she would refund the delivery charge as well…. so all is well in my world again (as long as the delivery charge is REALLY refunded). Those shirts and the matching shorts were really cute though. Oh well, you win some and lose some.

        you can refuse it from USPS. Just stick it back in your box and write refused on it. Do not open it or you will have to pay to ship it back. 🙂

    My order says that it shipped. And I know I couldn’t have been over charged. I keep a visa gift card in my purse that only has about 15 cents left on it. I enter in whenever my total is zero but it still asks for a credit card. That way, if something were to happen and the company were to back out… like in this case, I can’t be charged. My order says my free shirt should arrive in a few days. I guess maybe I am one of the lucky ones.

    My order was canceled this morning. Sad, because I’d ordered a bunch of cute little shirts for our local crisis pregnancy center. 🙁 It makes me upset when companies offer a promotional deal and then don’t honor it. It isn’t just that I didn’t get the deal, it is that I feel like they stole the time that I spent looking through their site.

    My deal of the day shirts were canceled “due to overwhelming demand”. The clearance item I ordered was not. So, I am going to be charged almost $15. The customer service lady was very pleasant. She said that my order was already in the warehouse and that I was supposed to refuse the package and I would be refunded the full amount, including shipping. Hope I’m home to refuse the package!

      I’m not sure how it works if you’re not home but I THINK you can write “return to shipper” on the package and it will be returned.

    i placed 3 orders(my husband,sister and me)they charged my card $100.00 (18.oo just in shipping)they are not cancelling all orders,they only cancel orders that are outof stock,the rest of the clearance and reg.price items they are charging,don’t be fooled by the confirmation of just 5 or 7 bucks ,even in process it says 5.00dollars but,u check ur card ,or contact them and u will know the real amount being charged,i told her i never authorized to be charged that amount,but she said i agree to pay for the item,if the coupon does not apply to my order or they don’t honor it i pay full price)Please beware and call them immediately,don’t think because ur email says 5 dollars thats all u been charged:(

      mine too! It doesn’t show up under my registered account, but when I clicked on the confirmation e-mail with order number it said it shipped today! Crossing my fingers…. no credit card charges yet either 🙂
