It’s great – I wrote a post on it a few weeks back – I was going every day *almost* – lol – when Wags was doing the buy 2 U by Kotex for $7 and get back $3 RR (using 2 – $1 off coupons) last month. Anyway – I ended up each time I did that – getting back one or two Cats for FREE Always! I am beyond stocked up – plus if you can find those little make up bag looking purse things – (technical term) they have samples of each: tampon – liners and pads in it – it also has a $1.00 off coupon in it!

I have also been getting those too. I posted on another site that this was happening every time i would do the u by kotex deal. Awesome, now i can do it more, since they are free after RR.
I got a coupon for free Always pads the other day without purchasing any pads or tampons at all. Then when I cashed in that coupon, I got another coupon for more free pads (at a higher value than my last one!). I know that we’re probably all stocked up on these, but they’re a great thing to drop off at a food bank. They’re always in need of paper products, and things like sanitary supplies, shampoo, deodorant, etc., as food stamps will not go to purchasing them. Snatch up all the free items you can with these coupons, save some for yourself, and give the rest away to charity. God bless!
I got a coupon for free Always pads when I bought the U by Kotex pads this morning but I didn’t get anything when I purchased U by Kotex tampons (except RR) later. Love this promotion 🙂

The Always coupon is up to a $3.50 value and all of the Always cost more than that.
I got an Always coupon for mini pads worth up to $5.
My cashier gave me the free Always even though the price was higher than the max amount on the coupon.
Wow! I had to pay the difference. I also think I jinxed myself by announcing that I always get coupon friendly cashiers. On Saturday the cashier didn’t want me to use my dollar coupon on the .99 Reach toothbrush b/c they’d owe me money. She could keep the penny. then she called the manager and the manager told her to take it. When I handed her the coupon for the 2nd toothbrush she said that I could only use one. I have the right mind to call the store and complain about her.
yes, the always cat coupon expires 7/25, though, & I’m hoping for a sale btwn now & then!
So if you use the free coupon to “purchase” your next package, will you still get the $2.50 RR? Or another free coupon? I’m confused.
The RR is for the U by Kotex so here’s what you want to do:
Buy 1 U by Kotex product
Use $1/1 q from 4/18 SS
Total $2.49
Get back $2.50 RR Kotex and q for free always
I was able to get the deal just like Colin posted, but I did it yesterday. Our Walgreens will let us do the next week’s deals on the Saturday before they take effect.
The only problem, like Dawn said, is that the Always coupon says $3.50 and all of the Always pads are $3.99 or more at my Walgreens. I will just wait on a sale or try to use the coupon somewhere else (since the catalina IS a manufacturer’s coupon). But I can’t complain, the U by Kotex pads were still free (and I love them, has anyone else tried them yet?)
I was just thinking, maybe the catalina for always pads is ONLY if you buy the U by Kotex pads (not tampons)? Just a thought. I bought two packs of the 16 ct pads and got always catalinas with both..
Yep it is only for pads or liners not the Tampons.
FYI…If you don’t like the O.B. brand tampons don’t buy these!!!
I don’t like o.b. but I love these! They are so compact & easy to put anywhere discreetly. (And the colors are fun!) Are you making sure to pull out the applicator till it clicks to make them full size? After doing that, they work just like regular kotex tampons. HTH! 🙂
Yeah I don’t think these are anything like ob. They do have a long applicator u just have to pull it out. Nothing like ob’s. They are really nice .
I hate OBs but love these.. You do have to “click” them to extend fully
I would not use OB but really like the U by Kotex. I like them better than the tampax compact. Once you click the applicator to extend it is full size and glides better than Pearl applicator tampons.
I bet Devin was not extending the plunger thing until it clicked. My daughter had the same problem until I explained it to her
Oh, I love these tampons. I used them while I was in disney world last week and they were a God sent. So compact and very comfortable. They are wonderful!
I got the Catalina for a free pack last week and I didn’t even buy any pads or tampons, just the RR Deals….
I just bought the tampons and didn’t get a free coupon, but got a $1.50 of playtex coupon from the catalina machine- looks like i’ll have to go back and snatch some pads!
I don’t think there is any rhyme or reason to this. I don’t remember what I bought at the time, but I got a free always cat two weeks ago up to $419. It is specifically for Dri-liners and they were priced so I got them free. I live in N. VA just outside DC and things always seem to be priced higher here than anywhere else. Around the same time I got a $3 off Q. Today I bought 4 different transactions of tampons and got just one of the same free always dryliners q’s and the $1.50 off playtex with every purchase. Hope that helps.
Can’t wait to get to Walgreen’s to try this out! My 3 teenage nieces are coming to spend the summer with me, and one is staying since she’s going to be attending the local university. This is going to be a huge money saver!

I am sooooooooooooo glad you posted that. I usually just toss the catalinas I am not expecting , because they are generally lame, so I had to rummage through my bag to make sure I had them and yes I did get one coupon for free Always with each Kotex purchase today!!!!

This morning I bought the Kotex U overnight pads, and I received the cat for a free Always Ultra or Maxi pad up to $3.50. (in Minnesota)
My neighbor is a social worker and she said any personal products donated would be great. So I did three transactions (had three coupons) for the Kotex and got 3 cats back for Always. Can’t beat that, plus it helps the community. Going to wait for Always to go on sale, then she will get six products.

Worked for me in MI. 🙂 Can you believe the ONLY STOCK our store had of Neutrogena soaps was six??!!! They didn’t even have any signs up advertising the RR or the sale. And it’s not that they sold any before I came in — the cashier said they didn’t even know about the deal and that they never have more than a few items of that type in stock. WOW! One thing I totally dislike about the store by me….they NEVER prepare for sales and usually only have a few of the sale items in stock (if at all!).
My store didn’t have any signage up for Neutrogena and it wasn’t in my circular so I didn’t try it. Got u liners and free Always coupon though- Kettering OH
My store never posts the signs either. I’m gonna try the soap deal tomorrow and if I don’t get the $10.00 I will return them.
just got back from Walgreens, bought 3 U by kotex and got my RR and with each transaction I did receive the free Always coupon too, it was for up to $3.50 so I had to pay .29 for each one since they were 3.79. Still, $1 is great for 3 packs of always pads!!!
I did the Kotex deal in 2 separate transactions, and got a free Always coupon each time. I’m from The First State, Delaware….
it worked a few weeks back for me but I didn’t think it would work again today but it did! I will go back until I run out of coupons. If you have not open your free kotex samples, there’s a coupon in each of them for $1.00.

Watch your recipt! The brick IP coupon for $1 beeped, so he put it in by hand. When he told me the total, I asked if it took it off because I didn’t see the total go down any, and he said yes. But when I got home I checked the ticket and it didn’t take it off. I should have checked it right then but in a hurry. So check yours.

I know that this is not a post about this subject, does anyone know much about the Walgreens Rewards program? I have not been able to keep up on posts as much lately (school teacher and end of year – aaahhh!). Today, I was visiting family in the Kansas City area and was asked if I wanted to register for the Walgreens Rewards program so I could take advantage of the in-store sales. I said no thank you since I didn’t have time to fill out the form. Then, when I was in the checkout line I overheard the manager ask another customer if she had her rewards card. She said she didn’t have it with her. They tried to look it up with her telephone number, but it didn’t work. He then told her that the Chex mix would be full price?!? The checker then asked if I had a rewards card – I said no and I asked if it was for the non-KC area and he said that it was only for KC and Portland as far as he knew. So, my question is this – are they testing out the idea that unless you have their rewards card you don’t get sale prices? That seems absolutely crazy, but I wanted to check it out here because I thought someone might be able to provide some insight.
I think I heard something about Walgreens having a “Test Area” for some new card. It sounds like the Rite Aid card. If you do not scan your card you cannot get some of the sales. It happened with me and M&M’s one week, but then he scanned my card and the sale popped.

Sounds like it. They may want to start limiting deals like CVS or something. I personally find Walgreens too much of a pain to go to very often. I think I will see if they have any more of the Kotex in stock, though.

I did! I also got 2 coupons for playtex (MY KIND OF TAMPON!!) I bought the U by Kotex yesterday and the FREE carefree liners for a ministry in my community. I don’t use them, but they were pretty good deals! And in return … i got my kind of tampon coupon (now I’ve got like 5!)!!
Just purchased the liners in CA and received the free coupon from Always for the Dri-Liners Plus (up to $5). Thanks for the 411 on the sweet deal!
Still printing this morning. I bought to packs of pads and got 2 for free always pads. I don’t use these but for free plus another free they make a great donation.
I don’t know if anyone has caught this one yet, but the larger the package the larger the Register Reward for the Freebie:
I bought 1 pack of Overnight pads (large pads with only I think 16 in it) = This smaller count got me the Free Pack of Always up to $3.50
I went back and bought 1 pack of liners (smaller pads that have a whopping 50 per pack but same price) = This large count pack got me back the larger RR, the $5.00 one.
And, no, The tampons do not produce the freebie RR (like Collin stated above), they are still free, but no Always freebie with purchase. HTH,

Worked for me 3 times yesterday in FW, TX for the liners & pads. I also got two cats with 10 pt pampers codes (without buying anything baby related). Woohoo! I did ask a nice cashier about the cat for $3.50 & the fact that they didn’t have always products for less than $3.99 & she said you could use the $3.50 towards your purchase & you’d pay the difference. (Have run into that issue with other Qs before & had no idea you could do that!) I’ll hang onto mine to see if they go on sale, but if they don’t, I’ll just pay the difference to get them pretty cheap.

I just wanted to let everyone know you can print a $1 coupon on ubykotex.com (well 2 actually it’s a brinks) and if you already printed them try again, because on the website it says you can get them once a month and it worked again for me.
