  1. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    I LOVE Rite Aid 🙂

  2. Beth

Anyone have any problems with their +UP rewards printing last week? Mine wouldn’t print, even thought the cashier tried ringing up the transaction a second time. She also acted like she’d never heard of +UP rewards. Thankfully a manager authorized a refund for my +UP rewards amount ($9) even though I only asked for a gift card. I love Rite Aid and hope they work out the kinks with this soon!

    • Kelly

I had the same problem and thankfully the two ladies where both really good and rang it up on my second transaction as a refund type thing. Though the one lady (that days manager) said that they had recieved a memo stating that it did not actually work the way it appears and tried to tell me that the $1/$10 seasonal purchase thing at the bottom was what that really meant until I explained that those had been printing at the bottom for a few weeks and that these should have printed without the specific purchase amount like the above one. I too, hope they get it worked out because the real manager at the store by me is NOT coupon friendly and has actually told me to just leave if I wasn’t happy when I had a problem with the jergen’s lotion coupon a couple weeks ago (I now go first thing sundays when she’s not there lol)

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

you are using your wellness cards aren’t you (I am assuming so, but I had no problems w/mine last week)

    • Beth

Yes, I was using my wellness card, and yes, the cashier also tried to convince me my $1 off $10 purchase coupon was the reward, but I kept insisting that I was supposed to receive $9 off any purchase, so she read the fine print more closely and called the manager over. My store manager is fantastic but I don’t want to deal with this every week! I think some registers are just slow at catching up to this new program.

    • Faith

I had one of my UP rewards not print for the Purex 3 in 1 sheets, so I called the Rite Aid customer service number and gave my information to an agent under the “Wellness Program” option. He said they would mail the UP reward to me. It was similar to what I do if a catalina doesn’t print. Luckily my other rewards printed so I could use those for my next transaction.

      • Alexis

thanks for this–i’ll have to call and see if they can email me my UP rewards from today. I had no problem last week or earlier this week, but today my John Freida and Venus ones wouldn’t print. The assistant manager was clueless as to how the UP rewards program even worked :-p He called customer service with me standing there and I knew we were in trouble when 5 minutes into the conversation he had to tell the guy “John Frieda. It’s hair care.” haha

Anyway, I left my phone number with him and he said he’d call me after he talks to the district and/or regional manager later this week…but I’d rather make a phone call and figure it out for myself rather than wait on him…

        • Amy

My Venus one wouldn’t work today either. The manager called and they told him to ring it up again, but it still didn’t work, so he just gave me $2 from the register.

  3. Donna

My UP Rewards wouldn’t print out also, the manager tried to talk his way out of it but I kept insisting and showing him what was supposed to print out from the circular, so he authorized a gift card for me too. It was only for 1.00 on the bounty a few weeks ago, but it was so clearly advertised that I had to fight for what was rightfully mine. Hope they fix the system soon and educate all personnel better

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Also, this past week I’ve had printing at the bottom of my receipts, a $1 off any $10 oral care purchase. Check you receipts and score another $1.

      I love Rite Aid 🙂

      • Alexis

Thanks for the heads up on the 1/10 oral care…i tend to ignore those coupons since they print out on every receipt, but it definitely was great for this deal! 🙂

    • Kelly

can u tell me how to get the UP Reward discount? How does it work?

    • Andrea

Are the Whitestrips deals only good in certain areas? This is not advertised and there aren’t any signs in the stores here.

      Thanks!

    • Ellie

This didn’t work for me. First of all, the Whitestrips weren’t on sale at my local store. I figured it would still be a good deal though, with the UP reward, but then after I purchased it, I did not get an UP reward either, so these ended up being like $17.99 or something. I think I’m going to return mine.

      • Alicia

i think the whitestips must be regional…I priced mine and they were 29.99…I am going back today will check signs (they were just putting them up when I went yesterdfay at 11am)..oh well…maybe in a few weeks we will get this deal. I don’t think the schick deal is here either. (Oregon)

        • Kristy

I agree, i think the Whitestrips are regional. Went today they were $39.99 in our store (SLC, UT) Still got them, thinking that would still be a pretty good deal. No +Up rewards printed and I paid $27! Taking them back tomorrow!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I bought 4 boxes of these on 4 different occasions, and I have received none of the $10 +Up Rewards.

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

There is also a SCR #45 on the Luvs Family Pack for $2.00! 🙂

  6. Chandra

I was wondering about these deals Collin posted:

Buy 1 Veet Hair Removal Gel Cream 6.76 oz. $5.99

Use the $3/1 June Video Values coupon found here

    or
Deal Scenario #2 (based on on-line price):
Buy 1 Clearasil Stayclear Deep Cleansing Scrub 5 oz. $4.49
Use the $2/1 coupon found here
    Use the $3/1 in-ad coupon
Use the $3/1 June Video Values coupon found here
    Final Cost FREE + a $3.51 moneymaker!

I know you can use a manufacturers Q and a Rite-Aid Q on the same item but I’m confused on how you’d be able to use what seems like 2 Rite-Aid Qs and a Manu Q at the same time? (The Video Values Q and the In-ad Q). Would anyone be able to help me understand this? I’ve never done a deal like that before and would like to try it out! Thanks so much! <3

    • julie

good question, i was worried this wouldnt work as well….anyone???

      • emma

yes, you’re allowed to use an in-ad coupon, a VV coupon, and a manufacture’s coupon at the same time. i’ve done it many times 😀

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’ve done it before too. They all scan with no problems! Awesome I know!

    • Alexis

I’m just concerned about the overage…will they allow it? (I’ve used those three coupons together before…but I’m not sure about how they’ll like it if it goes over the cost of the item…)

      • tammy-ladysavings.com

I LOVE that they allow all three coupons! I think of it this way: One coupon is from the manufacturer, one is from the store, & one you “earn”- you have to watch the video to get the coupon so they are kinda “paying” you with the coupon! I know many of us probably watch the videos while we are cooking dinner, etc. so we aren’t working too hard watching them 🙂 As for overage, I’ve had cashiers take a long time adjusting coupons down that had only a penny overage! I even told the one cashier, I would just give her the six cents- haha! But other times I’ve had cashiers not adjust the coupon down and give me more than $1 overage, so it just depends on who you get as your cashier that day….bad thing is you really can’t choose your cashier since there is usually just one(at least at my store).

        • robyn

i had a problem with this too at first but what tammy just said, “One coupon is from the manufacturer, one is from the store, & one you “earn”- you have to watch the video to get the coupon so they are kinda “paying” you with the coupon! ” is exactly what the manager of my store told me. i havent actually tried it because i havent had the right coupons but will this week. side note: oh how i wish we had gotten the $3 john freida coupons!!!!

          • Emily

Is there a written corporate policy allowing the use of all three coupons? I’ve tried twice now, at two different stores, and both managers thought I was crazy and disallowed it.

          • Katy

LOL about the John Freida coupons! My area didn’t get them either. I looked through every single insert I still have (twice) to make sure they didn’t come a different week for me, but no luck! Oh well, I guess…

    • Shara S

Whether you can use a VV and in-ad coupon on the same item is dependant on the store. I had a manger recently tell me you could not do that! I’m going to call corporate and see if they have a policy. However I know it doesn’t beep when they accept them because I’ve had cashiers take them, just not this particular manager.

      • mars7282

they will sometimes lay out a scenario using all three in their ad….just bring that with you when you shop b/c it’s basically them telling you to do it

      • Christa K.

Just a couple weeks ago Rite Aid had an in-ad coupon for Zegerid specifically advertising using the in-ad coupon with a VV coupon. I’ve never had a problem at my Rite Aid but I saved the ad for future reference to show cashiers that may be doubting. It’s not only allowed by Rite Aid, it’s promoted!!

    • Jo

I have done this many times and since they won’t actually give me money back, I purchase another item I need in that same transaction and let the overage from my coupons cover its cost.

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Does anyone know where I can view next weeks circular?

    • Mrs. B

      iiheartriteaid.com

      • Mrs. B

        opps should be iheartriteaid.com

  8. emma

yes, you’re allowed to use an in-ad coupon, a VV coupon, and a manufacture’s coupon at the same time. i’ve done it many times 😀

  9. melissa b.

i am not quite sure i understand how you can use a BOGO coupon from the newspaper and apply it to an in-store BOGO sale… for example, the Stayfree deal or M and M deal. what do i give as rationale if the cashier won’t give me both for free with the coupon?

    • Alexis

The store pays for one and the manufacturer pays for one–so you don’t have to pay for either! If you’re worried, print Rite Aid’s coupon policy and take it with you–it clearly states that you can use a BOGO coupon with a BOGO sale. 🙂

      • melissa b.

        thx!

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Combine the Aveeno in ad coupon with the Aveeno Rebate and the SCR for skincare!

    • Denise

I think the SCR says it goes by the total after any and all coupons. Correct me if I’m wrong cause that would make it a really sweet deal!

      • Alexis

You’re right, it says it does, but I submitted all of my receipts online and it shows that I’ve qualified for the SCR based on my before coupon total….

  11. Rochelle

I have not used the UP+ rewards yet. Could I say get the $10 UP+ from the John Freida products and the use that with a $5 off $20 RiteAid coupon, and a bunch of Huggies coupons to get the diapers for almost free?

    • robyn

i am not totally sure about the UP rewards yet either but just watch your tax. i tried to buy the motrin and toothpaste this last week again with the rewards that came out when i bought them the first time and i was a penny (yes a penny short) because of tax. so i had to buys something else to use the rewards coupon. i have no idea if that makes sense to you but HTH.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

In order to get around the whole penny thing (like this weeks toothpaste) give the cashier your +UP reward first and then the MQ. She can’t adjust the UP reward, but she can adjust the manu. coupon down to .99 cents. I was worried about that too, because I didn’t want to buy any extra stuff. The cashier did it with no problem.

  12. Ann

Rite aid is so great. My Walgreens has a new sign posted that you can’t use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO item but I never have any trouble with Rite Aid. Yesterday I used the coupons from the Facebook promo awhile back that Collin told us about for the free Butterfinger. I ended up with 6 coupons in the mail. Took them to Rite Aid where the Butterfingers were buy one for .88 get one free. Got 12 BUtterfinger candybars for FREE! Also did the M&M’s got a pack of plain M&M’s and a pack of pretzel ones for FREE! THey never give me any trouble. Can you believe 14 regular size candies for nothing! Thanks Collin – you are the BEST!!!

    • Cassandra

That is so silly since this weeks add actually promotes using the M& M BOGO coupon with the BOGO sale! What are they gonna say about that? 🙂

  13. Stacey

Ok, so I’m new to this whole couponing thing….on the clearasil deal, what is the point in using 3 coupons if any 2 of them already exceed the amount of the product? According to what I have been reading from other comments, they will just adjust the coupon amount down, so didn’t you just waste a whole coupon? Their policy also says that the coupons can’t exceed the price of the item, so I guess I’m just really confused, can someone please help me?!

    • Mrs. B

it depends on your cashier. the riteaid I go to has NO problems with overage. They never mark my coupons down.

    • Jo

If you buy more than that one product in your transaction, then the overage is applied toward your total. For instance in the Clearasil deal, you would purchase something else you need and it would be like having $3.51 go towards paying for it. Just make sure your ‘additional’ item is at least as much as the overage from your coupons.

  14. morganacm

My ad doesn’t have the whitestrips listed – I was so excited about this deal. I checked a few zip codes online for the online flyer and didn’t see them anywhere, but it was on the preview flyer that iheartriteaid had – you think the reward will print out everywhere even if it’s not listed in your community??

    • Shanna

I was wondering the same thing. If I decided to try it I will let you know.

      • morganacm

I tried it today and it didn’t work 🙁 Maybe we’ll get it in an ad later??

        • Megan

I was wondering about that too. On a couple of items like the clearisil, collin had written that there was an in-ad coupon but my rite-aid ad didn’t have it! I triple checked! do they do different ads regionally?

          • Samantha

The Rite Aid ads are different in different regions. I am just outside Memphis, TN and we get the “short ad” . You can preview both ads on http://www.iheartriteaid.com and see if the deals Collin lists are in the “short ad” if that’s what you get. HTH!

  15. s

Anyone have the link to the clearasil manufact. q? (the $2 one) the link collin posted doesn’t have it there.

    • Mrs. B

click the link again…then look for the personal care tab…should be under there.

      • s

thanks! my page never fully-loaded so I didn’t see that!

  16. Tara

Does anyone else not have the Clearasil video coupon showing for them? I checked Personal Care and it’s not listed.

    • Anonymous

      it was last month’s vv’s

      • Tara

        Thanks for the info!

  17. Maggie

I think you can sweeten the Venus razor deal further if you received the RA P&G coupon book from last month’s SCR deals (you had to buy a certain amount of P&G products to qualify for it when submitting your SCR receipts). I received it about a week or two ago. It contains RA store coupons — including a $2 Q for Venus that should be stackable with the mfr coupon listed here, making this a $2 money maker! (All the coupons in the coupon book say “mfr coupon” but they have the “RC” code of RA store coupons, just like the ad coupons that are stackable.)

    • Emily

Yes, I found the same thing! Also, in the same pink booklet there is a $5 off Crest Whitestrips coupon, which can be used along with the $10 MQ, making the strips a great moneymaker!

  18. Drina

Same with me, Tara. I can’t find the Clearasil video. Anyone?

    • morganacm

I think the videos changed today to the July videos, so you would have had to watch it yesterday or earlier in the month to get it 🙁 Now the videos that are up are for the July coupons.

      • Jamie

it is still free without that, just no money making…

  19. Jamie

if you want to take advantage of both white strips promotions and only have one news paper from this weekend, there is another $10 white strips coupon in the 6/6 p&g that you could use instead

    • Cindy H.

      Awesome, thanks!

  20. julie

we tried to do the whitestrips deal at our local rite aid and they were neither on sale nor offered any type of UP reward 🙁

  21. Dana

I have bad news for you about rite aid, they are changing the rite aid coupons (videos ect..) to they have a specific number so you can only scan that coupon 1… so if you print a coupon multiple times after you use it the first time, the next time the register will state that coupon has all ready been used…..

    • Wendy

This happened to me today. Now that we are using the Wellness card, they can track our VV coupons and limit the use to 1.

  22. Kelli

I’m confused…where is the Pampers $19.99 box $5 +Up Reward coming from? I live in PA and happen to be in VA right now, neither state has it in their circular and when I went to the store they had no idea what I was talking about. Anyone have any info?

    • Tara

I’m in NC, and we don’t have the Luv’s deal.

  23. Amber

Collin, Someone might have already left a comment, but there is a $2 video value on Almay intense eye cosmetics if they are included in the Almay sale.

  24. Amber

Is anyone else having difficulty finding the Stride and Banana Boat Video Values coupons.

  25. baibeehgurl

I think Wellness up program sucks they don’t print the up rewards and since the new wellness card now you can use 5/20 or 5/25 only once a month…i tried to use 2 5/20 but in diff transacations and it didnt work it said i already used it. dang why do they have to track those coupons. ughhh most def rite aid wont be seeing me there as much … did anyone else have that problem??

    • Cindy H.

Hmmmm. Never had that problem, but I did hear that Rite Aid would be coding their coupons better so you can’t use more than one of their printable coupons. I might have to get a few Wellness cards. It’d be interesting to know if anyone else has experienced that this week.

  26. secret_agent99

Super happy about my rite aid transactions today!
    Transaction #1
    4 John Frieda products
    1 coppertone suncreen
    1 veet
total spent $3.48 plus tax and got a $10 +Up reward
    Transaction #2
Wahl hair trimmer -this is what I needed to go to the store for since ours died
    Regular price $24.99
2 M&Ms $0.88/2) didn’t have a coupon for this one but in store price is BOBO this week (had to get these to distract my crazy twins who were going nuts in the shopping cart)
Used $10 June video values for Wahl trimmer
$5 off $25 purchase video values coupon
Used Up Reward $10 (*from first transaction)
Total spent transaction #2 $0.87+ tax
plus the WAHL trimmer qualifies for a $5 SCR in July
so grand total OOP is 4.38 +tax and after the SCR comes back I pretty much get everything for the price of tax.
Yipee! I love saving money thanks Hip2save for the heads up on all the good deals.
And if anyone needs a hair trimmer this is a great way to score one.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I saw there is also a $5 mail in rebate for them…you might want to google to sweeten your deal. I am thinking about getting a new one for haircuts as well.

  27. Kira

I missed out on the veet vv :0( …..but there is a $1/1 Bliss now to make the Bliss/Dasani deal sweeter!

  28. Stephany

Can’t find several of the VV videos – stayfree, schick…anyone else?

    • Priyanka

I can’t find the Stayfree either.

      • Sarah Faith

Those videos aren’t up anymore, because the video values program has switched to July. It doesn’t run on a regular calendar, but a fiscal calendar, so the June videos are gone. My advice is to just print all of the coupons when they first come on so that you’ll have them and won’t forget!

  29. Kelli

    REPOST…
I’m confused…where is the Pampers $19.99 box $5 +Up Reward coming from? I live in PA and happen to be in VA right now, neither state has it in their circular and when I went to the store they had no idea what I was talking about. Anyone have any info?

    • Tara

im in pa and its in my ad…..dont know where you are looking?? online?

      • Kelli

online and in the ad- don’t see anything just a sale price of 19.99 which is what they are reg. since im in va i won’t know until i get back to pa on sat- but my hubby’s at home and says its not in that ad either. idk? oh well.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Some places have a special wrap around the front of the regular ad. That’s where the Luvs deal is located and lots of other stuff. It doesn’t show up if you look online at the ad.

  30. BRITTANY

    Question for the fellow couponers:

I have never shopped at rite-aid with coupons before so this will be my first attempt/experience. I have multiple copies of the Buy one get one Free Stayfree pads and M & M’s plus the store is having the sale B1G1 Free as well. Is there a limit as to how many of each set I can get??? Thank you.. Like can I use 10 coupons and get 20 products for for? Just an unrealistic number thrown out there.

    • Cindy H.

Yep. There is no limit with manufacture coupons and a sale. Realistically you’re problem will be finding enough in stock to use up all your coupons.

    • Elektra

Although the M&M’s do not have limit’s on coupons or at Rite Aid, they can limit you. I had struck out on the pretzel M&M’s at a few CVS and Rite Aids. Finally found a bunch and got 20 bags and used 10 coupons. After a hassle with the shift supervisor over the coupon and repeated statements that they can limit it, I got them. They started putting 50 cents on the coupon and I spoke up, then they were putting 44 cents. I was getting frustrated, finally they were going to put 88 cents but then caught the 79 limit so I got 79 cents.
Although the new $5/20 (8/28) they wouldn’t let me use because it didn’t scan. They said if a RA coupon didn’t scan they could enter it but not a printed one. I explained a printed RA coupon is not considered printed but didn’t have my coupon policy. I’ve read you can’t use the new VV coupons more than once. It wouldn’t let me use the $5/20 (7/24) again either. I was able to use a $5/25 on the first transaction fine that has been used before.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I used the m & m coupons today and the same thing happened. I only used two but each time she put .50 on them. They sold for .88 so I didn’t techincally get them for free but for .38 on two packages so .76 for four packages. Not a big deal but I was confused why they weren’t free. Then the stayfree bygo didn’t go thru. She scanned it and it didn’t beep but didn’t remove anything either. I had to go back in and explain the whole cpn because of the bygo sale. Of course the receipt showed one free but both should have been. This whole cpn thing makes me so tired sometimes. Still it’s great to get great deals.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My rite aid didn’t even have the crest toothpaste. I asked and one of the shift supervisors looked and said a sign wasn’t even up. Usually we get a couple of each item so that was a bummer.

      • Laurie

Weird – mine took off $.50 for the BOGO M&M’s as well. Wondering why it wasn’t $.88, but let it go this time.

  31. Cindy H.

In the new July Video Values, their is a .50 sour patch kids coupon — when you print it out it’ll should it’s also good on Swedish Fish. Match this up with the .99 peg candy sale and you’ll get sour patch kids and swedish fish for $0.49. Yum!

    • Cindy H.

Wow, that was really bad grammar. Sorry.

  32. Judy

Realistically speaking in the disclaimer on the ad it states that we reserve the right to limit items. This is basically put in place so that one person doesn’t come in and clear out the whole item and that there will be enough for other customers. It’s not a good idea to go in and buy up 20 bags of m & m’s where the store may have only recieved one box or maybe two. The m & m sale runs long enough to be able to use up the coupons in a few trips. Most stores are now getting their truck every other week. The sale runs till Saturday so even going to a few local stores to share the coupon wealth would be a great idea too. Its so hard for one store to accomodate sometimes and we do try our hardest. I am a Rite Aid store manager in New Jersey and I am very coupon friendly at my store. I have not had to limit anyone yet but, there is always that disclaimer that states I can.

    • Dana

Hi, Judy good to see another Rite Aid manager on here!!!! I love to use coupons and work with customers on theirs…. I am from tennessee

  33. julie

    • Kim

      awesome job!!

  34. Valerie

I just got my 10% Wellness Reward Coupon in the mail yesterday!

  35. Mary

I don’t see the luvs or pampers deals in my add either. boo.

  36. Emily

I got the pegged swedish fish 8 oz. on sale for $0.99 and used the $0.50 video value coupon so I ended up paying $0.49. I love this candy.

  37. Heather

I am having problems gettting the swiffer rebate form to come up can anyone help me?? maybe email me a copy of the file cdchristianson@hotmail.com. Thanks in advance.

    • Heather

I got it thanks:) just took a long time to download!!

  38. Kari

I really love Rite Aid. They are quickly becoming my favorite drug store. This week I picked up 20 bottles of John Frieda and a can of pringles and Made $45.00. The reward back was really icing on the cake, as we use the shampoo and I was thrilled to stock up enough for the year. Now I can donate all the other shampoos from my closet that we don’t like as much. Photos and details are posted on my blog if anyone is interested. I’m a little bummed we didn’t get the long ad with the crest strips, but I really can’t complain after the great shampoo deal.

  39. Rebecca

Just an fyi – the Old Spice BOGO deal that was listed (2 for .99) won’t work w/this sale: the 6/6 PG ad is for the “fresh collection” and not the “high endurance” variety.

  40. Mary

I just used the same $5/$20 VV coupon, but they were on separate days. Maybe that makes a difference?

  41. marino77

Has anyone tried the Luvs deal? I’m pretty bummed about it not working for me. I bought the box for $17.99 (not $15.99) and no UP Reward printed! So I paid an extra $8…I’m definately taking them back. I was in a hurry earlier today. So now I have to drive all the way across town to return them and I wasted a coupon! DARN!

  42. Kathryn

Ok, there is definitely two different ads out there nationwide. There is a short ad and a long ad. The frustrating part…..I get the short ad here in Michigan. Which means I don’t get half of the deals that everyone else is getting

  43. beach402

Crest White strips did not work for me…nor did any of the other featured +UP rewards! Darn! I wanted the Luvs one, the Crest White Strips one and more…Bummer.

  44. beach402

Oh and same thing happened to me with the Luvs….paid $17.99 and no +up Rewards! I am returning them also and I am bummed about the lost coupon.
