Thanks , Colin! I love Target but the problem we couponers are having with them not deducting our coupons properly is making me think twice before making these deals. Next time I go I’ll use fewer coupons so that I can watch and make sure It’s getting deducted. There is a petition online calling on Target to fix their software If anybody is interested:) :

I love target b/c you can use their q’s and mfr q’s to get some sweet deals but their printed q’s never come off the right price, like the Huggies deal taking 1.99/3 instead of 2.50/3

I’ve never had a problem using coupons at my store. But the other night I went there and I knew I was doomed as soon as I noticed the new registers. I went to my favorite cashier and she even scrutinized my coupons. Everyone that beeped, she questioned me on. I had a $1/2 Mead products. I bought two packs of Mead filler paper on clearance for $.87 each. Of course, the coupon took off $.87 instead of a dollar. I questioned it, not because I care about the $.13, but for the principle of it. She called over a different cashier and asked them to please explain to me why I wasn’t getting the full value of the coupon. That cashier “explained” things to me. I explained why it should work. I had to explain to 4 people why I should in fact get $1 off. One of them said it didn’t take the full amount because it was on clearance! Huh! So frustrating!!!!! So many of my coupons still beeped. I bought a pair of girl’s denim shorts on clearance for $2.48. I still had one of the $2 off children’s denim. That one beeped. She was not too happy to override my beeping coupons but she still did. They must have trained their cashiers that the new registers would accept all legitimate coupons….

Yep, that’s the kind of problems I’m talking about. The other day I bought 4 Skippy peanut butter tubs and used four .50c/1 coupons but when i got home and looked at my receipt and did the math I realized that only 2 coupons were redeemed! My coupons didn’t exceed the price of the product or anything so I don’t understand why people like us who use coupons the right way are being denied or not given the full value of our conpons, especially that Target took my coupons and will be reimbursed for them! Imagine if the situation were reversed and their registers were redeeming our coupons at a higher value. Would they ignore the problem like they’re doing now? I think not.

I had not been to Target in a while but I went on Saturday for the Hugggies deal and I totally see what everyone has been talking about! The cashier looked at every one of my coupons and matched it with the product. She would only let me use one of my $4/2 rolaids coupons even though the price of both products was more than the $4. She said the picture on the Q showed the larger size bottles. Then I had to argue that she needed to give me the 2.50 on the huggies because the store was going to get that from the manufacturer. I felt like security was going to escort me out for using their coupons as they were intended!
