Save money and get your “Starbies” (as my teenager calls it) fix at home! 😆

She happens to LOVE the pink drink from Starbucks, and we recently discovered how easy it is to whip it up at home using coconut milk. The best part is that you can customize each component to your taste using fresh ingredients.

The result is a smooth and creamy coconut iced drink with fresh sweet strawberries that tastes like love! What a fun way to treat the family all year long.

You can skip the long line at Starbucks and save money by making the famous Starbucks Pink Drink at home with our easy copycat recipe! It’s the perfect sweet and fruity drink recipe on a hot summer day!

What is in the Pink Drink at Starbucks?

According to Starbucks.com, the popular iced Pink Drink is made using their Strawberry Acai Refresher base (which has white grape concentrate and green coffee extract), coconut milk, and freeze-dried strawberries. Green coffee is what gives it the caffeine component.

My homemade version will be using green tea, coconut milk, and fresh strawberry puree. So, to be clear, this won’t taste exact but has similar vibes using easy-to-find ingredients! Honestly, I enjoyed this homemade version even more!

Tips to keep in mind when making a copycat Starbucks Pink Drink recipe:

  • I start by pureeing fresh strawberries using an immersion blender. You can mash them or even use a blender instead.
  • You can use any type of milk for this recipe: I’m a fan of coconut milk (and it’s what Starbucks uses for their Pink Drink), but almond milk or regular dairy milk will work great for this recipe as well.
  • I sweetened my drink with a little sugar, but feel free to choose a sweetener of choice. Classic simple syrup, agave, or even honey would all be other ways to make sure your drink is sweetened to taste!
  • Be sure to brew your green tea ahead of time so it has time to chill in the fridge.

Refreshing and delicious!

So long, Starbucks! We’re making our own Pink Drink at home for less money and in less time than it takes for us to head to the cafe. I personally love that you can taste more of the iced tea in this version with a subtle sweet taste instead of being overly sweet like the Starbucks version.

Here’s what my teammate Emily said after sipping her Pink Drink:

“Who knew you could make the popular Pink Drink at home?! It tastes exactly like the Starbucks version, maybe even better. I like making this myself and being able to control the amount of sweetness, and now I can make it any time of the year!”

Hi Lina!!! First and foremost, your drink and recipe look DELISH! A perfect summer treat to try at home. I truly look forward to and love your recipes through the years. Also, on a side note, I have always admired your cute watch, and silver accessories. May I ask what brand it is? I’ve been looking for something similar. I’ve found Citizen, Bulova, and Cartier. Thanks in advance! 🙂

Aww, Patty—what a sweet comment! 💕 I’ll be sure to pass your kind words along to Lina—she’ll be so excited to hear how much you’ve enjoyed her recipes over the years! Lina shared that her watch is a Maurice Lacroix Les Classiques Octagon Ladies Watch, a special gift from her husband about 20 years ago. Her silver bracelets are mostly from Brighton, and while they’re mostly retired styles now, she’s loved how well they’ve held up through the years. 💖
