They have 90% off summer clearance sale for clothing and shoes. I got a pair of sandals for 80 cents!

  2. collins

What a deal I hate I can not locate the coups~

    • Collin

If you don’t have the insert coupon, you should still be able to locate the printable on Coupons.com. Just make sure to use zip code 12345. 🙂

    • Brianne

My DG is great about coupons, and the reason coupons are beeping is because for their systems, if you have to buy multiple items for one coupon then you have to scan each coupon after that many items. Ex: $1 off three cans you will have to scan 3 cans and then the coupon to go with them, then three mote cans and then the coupon to go with them. Sounds crazy but it’s the only way their cash registers will accept them, they can all be done in one transaction, but only if done like that. Hope this helps some of you….I just wish I could find the Internet printable for these, it’s not coming up under zip 12345

      • Julie

I couldn’t find them under zip code 12345, or any other zip code on coupons.com. I did go to Dollar General today and got 3 cans for $0.35 (I had one coupon from the newspaper) which is an awesome deal, but I would love to find more coupons so I can stock up on green beans in time for Thanksgiving!!

  3. Leah

WOW this is GREAT!! I just ordered 40 coupons from Ebay! I am going to make a BIG donation to the womens shelter in my City!! Thanks so much for posting this!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thats really generous of you to do that…but please at least leave some on the shelves for those that would like to get some for their households too!!

      • Leah

Oh don’t you worry! I don’t clean out shelves! If I do something like this, I visit SEVERAL stores to get the deals I want. And anyways I was just thinking of having Walmart pricematch this deal!

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thats a great idea to PM!! Will have to ck since I’m going there tomorrow. I know they sell the mixed veggies, but I’ve never seen just the reg canned veggies. I’d love to get the green beans for my mom, she makes this awesome green bean/artichoke casserole and practically triples the recipe for the holidays, everyone devours it up!

    • jamie

never ordered coupons from Ebay. do they send them electronically or by snail mail? How do you get them in time to use them for current sale? I’ve wondered how this works! plse help – i’m new to coupons.

      • Kate

snail mail. You’ll get Sunday ad coupons that are already clipped. There is no guarantee that you’ll get them in time for the sale, but if the Ebay seller says they ship within 1 day of cleared payment and you pay on a Sunday, there’s a good chance you’ll get it by Saturday.

  4. Brittany

Awesome deal! Thanks! This will work great for my Church’s food pantry!! 🙂

  5. Corrine

Check with your Dollar General first, ours doesn’t except internet coupons 🙁

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I thought they released a corp coupon policy that they do allow IPs (not for free’s though)

      • Kim

They did. I carry the policy in my purse.

    • Belle

If they will not honor the IP coupons, then I am going elsewhere and doing a price match and use my coupons. They, Dollar General, need to realize that by not adhering to their corporate policy they will be losing our business. 🙂

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thank you for the heads up. Im heading out of town for a week and this was one of my last deals of the day. 12 cans for 1.40.

  7. Barb

Oh my word. I just went to DG to do this deal and I had to do two separate transactions of 3 cans each because they insisted that “one coupon per purchase” means I can’t use 2 coupons in one transaction.

They always look at my IP coupons like I am passing funny money, but I persist because I want to educate them into this decade.

    • erin

I had to separate mine too because my 2nd coupon beeped. The cashier tried to push it through, but the register kept telling her “1 per visit”

    • Janice H

This same thing happened to me Saturday!…and I am the one who took the policy and E-mail to them to have at their store where I live so we wouldn’t have any problem…..I am writing DG corporate about this problem again.

      • Julie W

I had the same problem and I used the insert coupons, not the internet ones. I didn’t want to go through the trouble of voiding 3 cans so I just paid for 6 cans and used just one coupon. I think the total was 1.78 so I paid about .30 per can which still isn’t bad, I think I will go back tomorrow and use the other coupon I had left. Either way it is an awesome price if you are going to donate them =)

  8. crystal

I’ve had nothing but problems trying to coupon at DG. They insist their computer will only take one internet coupon per transaction. They tell me that the computer says item not found when the tried to scan the second one. So I told the cashier to break up the order into several transactions. The manager said they would do it this time but not in the future. What??? Why would there be such a problem to begin with?

  9. Stephanie

Went to my DG, picked up 15 cans since I had 5 coupons. Cashier scanned the first one, no problem. Went to scan 2nd and it “wouldn’t go through”. I ended up having to void my whole transaction. I didn’t think about doing multiple transactions so I’ll go back later to another DG. Ugh.

  10. Cookie1276

I can’t get the coupons to print from coupon.com. Anyone else having trouble? Says they printed but they didn’t.

    • erin

did you try clearing your cookies?

    • Lisa

wouldn’t work for me either – the other coupons I selected printed but not that one. Tried firefox too…nothing????

      • Marge

Same here….other coupons printed but cannot get the Libby’s coupon to print.

      • Chandra

        Not working for me either!

    • joy

      Me too !!!!!!!

    • carrie

      same here.

      • couponsnoopy

same here 🙁 and of course I have 10 of every insert except that one 🙁

  11. amber

I have 20 Libbys coups to use! Went to DG and the shelves were empty. Asked the cashier and he pulled the last of the 4 cases they had in the back. I bought one case,12 cans, and 3 additional cans. I have insert coups I bought from Ebay. As stated above the 1st coupon went through but it would not take the rest. The cashier called the supervisor who did some creative discounting to get me the additional $4 off my purchase. Although it did take a few extra minutes I appreciated the fact they not only did it but apologized for the system not taking my other coupons easily.

    • carrie

My Libby’s coupons ALWAYS do that at DG, first one works and the rest don’t. So I do each coupon a seperate transaction. Our DG will not override coupons. If the coupon won’t go through, they just won’t take it. Unfortunately, our Walmart don’t carry Libby’s brand, so I can’t price match.

  12. Amanda

could you buy 57 can for 25.65 minus a $5/25 coupon from a previous purchase and (19) $1/3 coupons and pay $1.65 ? If so this would make a great donation!

    • couponsnoopy

That 5 off 25 is only good by itself, can not be used with other q’s

  13. Stephanie

I went and had same hassle as previously mentioned–only 1 went through. I got the manager to enter $.33 off each can. Took FOREVER! My advice? Grab an ad and keep on truckin to Walmart to price-match.

  14. dot

I can never get coupons to print from coupons.com. I’m glad to see I’m not the only one having that problem.

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My Dollar General won’t accept the internet coupons either ! I guess I can price match at Wal Mart too…

  16. deanna

My local Dollar General is very non coupon friendly. I bought 24 cans of Libby’s in multiple transactions and two stores. I will price-match next time.

  17. wendy c

Can’t get this one to print either! 🙁 Thanks Collin for all you do.

  18. Kim

I went to DG and got 24 cans for $2.94. I also got a beep after the first coupon, so then the cashier voided the order and started again. This time she scanned three cans and then a coupon, 3 cans and then a coupon, and so on and so on and so on, and it worked fine. She said they have a problem with the beeping after first coupon but can do it this way and it works fine. Now that I know this I will be sure to show my coupons before they start ringing things up.

  19. Christine H.

The Libby’s coupons would not print for me either….anyone have any solutions?

  20. Christina Dodd

Just went to Coupons.com and used zip code 12345 and there was no Libby’s coupon 🙁

  21. Mandi Y.

I printed off all the q’s I could from all the comps in the house. Went over to my DG and same thing happened as many mentioned. First q went through..the rest refused…so the cashier whom rocks called her boss (whom I’ve dealt with before and q’s so they know me) and walked her through manually removing charges 30min later I walk out with 24 cans having just paid $2.20!

  22. Meg

I tried this at my DG today and after calling every employee in the store up and could not get the coupons to take I told them to forget it and walked out. I was really nice to the point they started being nasty about it. I only wanted 6 cans of veggies! I will go to Walmart and price match, I don’t shop at DG and now I remember why.

  23. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have a few different computers, and I was able to print the Libby’s coupon twice from the first computer around 3 PM, but had no luck on the other computers after that. My mom (who lives about 20 miles away) also tried to print and it said it was sent to the printer but it never printed, although the other coupons.com coupons printed fine. Must have hit the print limit or something..

  24. Kristen

Could not find coupon on coupons.com. Tried everything. I entered 12345 in zip etc…. Is there something else I need to do?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      I couldn’t find it either!

  25. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I dislike DG. I had the snuggle $3 off cpn and they told me that I can’t use a coupon to get it for free. Huh? What r they smoking? Apparently they don’t clip cpns. Little do they knew we get tons of stuff for free. Dimwits. So annoyed by ignorant people. So I will never go back there n waste my time.

  26. Paulette

Dollar General in Midlothian Tx refused to take my coupons too. Ist went through. Manager said he refused to give HIS products for free. I politely pointed out that I was still paying for them and that the store got reimbursed by Libbys so HE wasn’t giving anything away but he still refused. Now I remember why I don’t go there either! Some things just are not worth it.

  27. Lori

I don’t even see the coupon listed for that zip code or 90210 (the one with the most, seems like anyway). Could maybe be all printed off.

  28. Dmkapotsy

I had a DG manager tell my husband that corporate allowed each store manager to make the decision as to whether or not that store would take printed coupons. Sounds like most stores only take the clipped ones. Bummer. I can’t find the coupon anyway and my Wal-mart is no fun for trying to use coupons. Sometimes I just don’t feel like the hassle.

  29. Paulette

My coupons were clipped. I bought 6 papers that week. THAT is why I am so Mad!!They were right from HIS paper so to speak! Sticking to price matching elsewhere!!!
