I love that these creative ideas prove you don’t have to spend a lot of money to make someone feel special and appreciated this holiday season!
Here’s how to take ordinary items and transform them into small, thoughtful gifts with clever gift tags!
1. Brownie and Oven Mitt Gift
Grab a box of decadent chocolate brownie mix along with an oven mitt and kitchen tools. Then, secure all of the items with a holiday bow and our free printable gift tag. You could also include the tag on any sweet treats you bring to holiday parties as well!
2. Reindeer Root Beer Gift
Decorate a 4-pack or 6-pack of root beer with brown pipe cleaners, craft eyes, and red craft poms (see more about this craft in the VIDEO HERE – from 2013!! 😱). Then print and attach our FREE cute and coordinating gift tag.
3. Gingerbread Cookie Supplies Gift
Grab a package of gingerbread cookie mix, white icing, and a gingerbread man cookie cutter and wrap all the items with a holiday bow and then pair with this cute printable gift tag.
4. Tea or Coffee Mug Gift
For the tea lover, place some tea packets, a honey bear, and a fresh lemon inside a large mug. For the coffee lover, use K-cups and mini flavored syrups inside instead. As for chocolate lovers, place hot chocolate, mini-marshmallows, and chocolate candy inside the mug. Then attach this coordinating FREE gift tag.
5. “We Wash You a Merry Christmas” Hand Soap Gift
Using these free printable gift tags and Bath & Body Works hand soaps (or whichever hand soaps you like). Just add some ribbon and a personalized note for a super cute and frugal gift idea!
6. Candle, Soap, Potpourri, or Scented Pine Cone Gift
Simply attach a gift tag using holiday ribbon or twine to any small gift that smells like Christmas! Some examples could be a scented candle, hand soap, potpourri, or a bag of scented pinecones!
7. Fleece Throw or Blanket
Gift a warm holiday fleece throw blanket using our cute tag! To achieve this presentation, I first rolled the throw blanket and then taped the ribbon and attached the gift tag.
8. Whisk Filled with Chocolate Kisses
In this example, I’ve stuffed a kitchen whisk with chocolate kisses and then wrapped it with transparent cellophane wrap and our gift tag. I then attached the whisk to a store-bought cookie mix so the recipient can make yummy cookies topped with kisses!

I love giving craft sodas, including root beer, to my son’s male teachers. Even a single is SO appreciated. Easy to drink or share, and male teachers often get overlooked.
