Walmart.com: Herbal Essences and Venus Breeze Gift Sets Better than FREE (After Rebate)
Currently, Walmart.com has quite a few $9 gift sets available that qualify for the $9.99 Allure rebate offer. I posted about this offer back on 11/19, so here’s a recap for those of you who may have missed it…
Each gift pack listed below includes a one year subscription to Allure Magazine (or any one of 5 other publications listed here) OR you can opt for a $9.99 refund! You can check out all the details here (scroll down to the bottom of the fine print). Basically all you have to do is mail in your original receipt, Allure card found in the gift pack and this form within 30 days of purchase to:

On a side note, if you’re wondering whether you can only do this once per household, check out these comments from readers (I also added in a couple additional comments regarding the packaging of their shipments):
I just called the number and the person I spoke to said if I bought 3 and wanted to get 1 subscription and 2 rebates that would work just fine. Each card wih the code is good for a sub/rebate. So based off of what I was just told. You should be able to do as many rebates as you have cards for 🙂 I will be sending mine off today!
Since the cards did not say “one per household” and even states that you can enter the codes for each promo card, I sent in both cards, but in separate envelopes with each separate receipt (that’s why I bought them separately). If the cards do not say one per household, then they have to complete the rebate per their listed terms to the consumer, or else it is fraud.
I called the #800 listed on the online form. The gentleman said that although it wasn’t stated “one per household” on the form, that they will only allow one per household. BUMMER!!! Also, I just received my online order from Walmart (sent FEDEX) and the box inside was crushed – contents falling out, etc. TERRIBLE!! So much for giving it as a gift!
Mine from walmart.com was crushed as well..but the products are fine and I was planning on putting them in my own gift bags I’m making, so no biggie, but ya they should have shipped it better!
So I am wondering if this can also be used towards the $50 purchase for the $20 P&G rebate going on right now? Anyone know?
If you opt for the magazine subscription, it should be okay. If you want the $9.99 rebate, you won’t be able to since you need to send in your receipt.
On the form it says you only need to send a copy of the valid receipt with the card. You should still be able to use the receipt for the rebate.
You are right Sheri. I sent mine in Friday. I underlined on the form where it said a “Copy” of the receipt and only sent a copy so I could use the original for the Olay rebate.
I would think so, wouldn’t you? Each one requires an original receipt but from an online purchase you’d think you could make 2 copies of the receipt in the box. Or print 2 copies of your online order. I’m trying it, anyway.
I bought 2 of the boxed gift sets & submitted them both for the 9.99 rebate, then bought a few more things & submitted for the $20 rebate. Sent copies for the 9.99 ones & the original for the $20 one.
So I am thinking that I will just ask for a duplicate receipt. I’m not sure about now, but once upon a time Wal-mart could do that.
How do you opt for the 9.99 refund. I don’t see anything about that on the Allure form. Do you just not check that you want the Allure magazine?

Same here! I was so aggravated! I was going to resell on ebay, so much for that idea! I had to take everything out of the box. Oh well, I will just use the items for gift baskets!

when you opt for refund it says on the from that only copy of receipt and original card from box is needed. So what are you going to send? orginal or copy of receipt?
Just a FYI, it looks like the offer is valid until 12/31/10, so don’t wait to send in your refund info.

I held off on these because I thought they were supposed to be $5 and FREE with the $5/1 Olay coupon that expired 11/30… oh well. It might not have been in vain if these are good to go from the store as well… also, no shipping issues!
These gift sets should work for the P&G buy $50 get $20. I bought three of them at Walmart (using different family members addresses for the $9.99 rebates). I also got a bunch of Pantene at Shoprite that wound up being VERY cheap using BOGO’s from the 11/28 P&G and some $1 off 2’s. Picked up a few travel size Herbal Essence (97 cents ea) at Target for free with $1 off’s and this pushed the total over $50 with ease. This gift set only requires a copy of the receipt. The $50 get $20 P&G wants the original receipt. No problem…. now… to wait for the $$$. 🙂

You can return your online purchase to the store if you are unhappy.I work for walmart and customer service is first with them. Maybe they will throw in a gift card for your trouble!
Not sure which Walmart you work at – but I’d like to shop there. The ones in my area will not take back items bought online and advise you to use the info provided with the package to do it online and through the mail. I was told earlier this year (when I ordered some computer software and they sent me a cooking book) that it would take a couple weeks at least to get my refund. Totally poor way to do business. I requested a manager and had to go back and forth a few times before he agreed to take the item and credit my card. So, I no longer order from them online – and I like Target better anyway – they ship quick and package stuff well.
My problem is if I buy online to ship to family I woud have to ask them to take out the rebate thing and mail it to me or have to buy them take it out and ship and then it wouldn’t be free. I do not know anyone locally that I gift to as my hubbys family here does not do gift exchanges – except white elephant and there are mostly men. I have to much body wash – so I can’t do this offer 🙁
First time doing a rebate… So, if I only want the rebate, should I send in the entire long form or just the bottom part (last page) with the fine print?
I sent the third page (3 pages total is you check the print option) – since that is the whole page with the details and the part to fill out. Of course, send the Allure card and a copy of the receipt.
I called the toll free number on the rebate form and asked them if the rebate is limited to 1 per household and the lady very firmly said YES. She said you can subscribe to several magazines BUT can only get 1 rebate / household. I asked her to tell me where the terms and conditions mention it n the official form, b/c I read every word of the fine print but could not find that anywhere. Her answer was : “well, I haven’t seen the rebate form in a long time….but we were told by the manufacturer that it is only 1 rebate/household.”
I don’t really know what to do. I would love to get more for presents and family but I don’t want to risk not getting the money back…. Any ideas???? Thanks!
I bought 3 of them from the store. One rebate filled out to my address and the other 2 filled out to family members at two other addresses. I told them to expect the rebates and to let me know when the arrive. Of course – it helps to have family you can trust to give you the rebate… So far..no issues here – lol. If you want to give them the gift packs – just don’t tell them what the rebate is from – it won’t arrive till next year anyway.
Did you still put your name on all of the rebates? I bought 4 and all of my family lives close by so I am going to use their addresses. I just didn’t know if I should still put my name on all the rebate forms??

Make the deal even sweeter and use the Herbal Esence $1.00 off C. from the 11/28 P&G. My walmart accepted this C, and I also had 3 $2.00 C’s for the Olay that they accepted. I am also overwhelmed with body wash and shampoo, so we donate to Battered Women.
Agreed. We used coupons too – to make the deals better. Also have made up some care packages for the local shelter – only so much toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo etc that you can use… and it will helpm others in need. I am waiting for January to score the rumoured cheap/free toilet paper at CVS. Getting ready to stock up on the ECB’s.

Yup, my box came crushed, too. But the contents were okay. I haven’t received my rebate, though. Hopefully it comes this week! How long did it take you guys to get the rebate back?

Mine from Walmart was crushed as well, I thought about calling, but I didn’t know if I should call Fed Ex or Walmart?
I also called the phone number (as did Funny Bunny above) and I talked with the Supervisor who was not very nice or accomodating and told me it is 1 per household……and I stated twice that I read all the fine print and it did NOT say 1 per household. I told her I bought them because of the rebate and I had already sent all mine in now……so how could I take them back to the store, or opt for the magazines. She didn’t care.
If I am ordering from Walmart.com, what is consider the reciept? Will the Order Summary be good enough?
I think it would be safe to assume that the intent of this offer is one rebate per household. It seems a little abusive of the system to expect more, and may result in future diminished offers of this nature.
It pays to look at the big picture a little bit.
If that is the case, then only one magazine subscription should be allowed per household.

These are GREAT for the non profit I volunteer for during the holidays. Many of our older teen girls are difficult to buy for. You posts help me save and pass on to others.
I purchased the Olay gift set with the venus razor for $10 at my local walmart (the gift set that is $13 online). The cashier was great and let me use a the coupon from 11/28 coupon insert for a free Olay Body Lotion with any Olay Body wash coupon so for $10 I got the gift set and a $5 body lotion and will get $9.99 back from the rebate 🙂

When I purchased this set I noticed that there were several different sets. Hopefully, you got the same one I did. It is called the Winter Rescue Pack and comes with 1 Body Lotion 8.4 oz, 1 Body Wash 10 oz., 1 pair Aloe Infused Socks, 1 Shampoo 1.7 oz.

I just received my gift set, but there was no paperwork with it (i.e. receipt, invoice). Will the email that I received from Walmart with a shipping confirmation and proof of payment work as a “valid receipt” for the rebate? According to the email, this is what I would need to return the item, so is this considered my receipt?

I just received my gift box too and will be sending in the email/shipping confirmation from Walmart as my proof of purchase. Also, I was so pleased that the gift box arrived in perfect condition!
My gift set came in perfect condition via fed ex. it was shipped in a box. I as able to slide my hand to the bottom of the basket and take out the Allure card without opening the package.
I ordered one of each (3 total) and two came with incorrect receipts (correct product and price, wrong customer info) and one without any receipt at all. 🙁

I bought 5 of them today, where is the number to call , i have to make 5 different copies of recepits to get my rebate back, and mail to different people too?? Just got off the phone with them,it is one perhouse hold, thats a bummer, he said they will not do 2 rebate at one house, so i guess i will be sending them to friends and family houses.. lot of work but ,i guess for 50.00 dollars ,cant be that much work, it will be nice when the checks come in.
