You can use other brands when you buy the rolls where you make the bags yourself (the size you need). Target sells other brands and I’ve bought them and used them with the Food Saver.
just food saver bags, you can get them at walmart.. i want one of these but the bags are pricey but in the long run i guess it saves on teh food tossing
You can buy the rolls to make the size bags you want. Target sells other brands (less expensive than Food Saver) and I’ve used them with my Food Saver. And, yes, it definitely saves on food!! I used to throw out so much before I got my Food Saver. And, you NEVER get freezer burn on your food or meats.
Ooops! One more thing….I recently put the bagged salad in one of the Food Saver containers and it stayed “fresh” for several weeks. It’s air that ruins food.

I cant find any bags that are 11×10. Only 11×16 and up. How does that work? I would love this, but need to know I can find bags to go with the system in the future. Thanks for posting this. My dad would love this!
11 is the width which fits the machine. The 10 or 16 is the length in feet. 16 would make more bags. I have this and I LOVE it!
11 inch is how wide the roll is. So you could use any length, because you make the bags your own size. Basically they just give you less w/ the kit you buy and then you can buy the longer ones when you need a refill. I could be completely mistaken on this, but I think I saw the bags/rolls recently on sale at Kohls.

Nevermind, my bad. There are two models that look exactly the same, works on the right one!!
I got an expired messafe the first time I tried, but make sure you enter zero’s instead of o’s. Try it again and it will work.
You need to put a zero instead of an O and that should work. I did that first.
It did the same for me, but when I cut and pasted the code it worked perfectly. I think I may have been putting in Os instead of 0s.
off topic and sorry for the rant….can any of you help me before i call corperate i had an unfortante incident at rite aid this morning. I was under the imppression that if you were buying say $30 of toys to recieve the 10 ups that it was counted before you applied coupons or payed with previouse ups. the cashier was very rude and told me no because i paid partially with ups i only spent 22 dollars.

ok well i did end up calling corporate and if anyone else was wondering or in this predicmemt apperantly i was soupoused to get the ups that it shouldnt of mattered if i used ups to pay on the $30 in toys. and Im feeling alittle bad feeling corporate over the cashiers comments but i was offended and felt like crap and i know thats not right……

Make sure you are using the code on the correct item. If you try to use it on any other item it will say it is expired. You can only use it on the V2222.

Whoo hoo! Just ordered one. I have one that I got on clearance a few years ago but you have to push down on the lid to get it to start and it is always a hassle to do. And it is much larger than this one. I figure I would spend almost $24 on all those refills so it is like I got the machine for free. I usually get the refills at Cosco, 3 large rolls and 1 small roll for around $24. It usually lasts me over a year.
I have the original white one, and we LOVE it! this is a GREAT deal! We save alot of money by buying the meat in bulk and cutting it up ourselves into meal size portions and we put the bags in the deep freeze with dates on them- We get our steak and pork this way from Costco and BJ’s. In the long run we save Alot doing it this way. It is possible to reuse the bags also- If you make them big enough and leave enough room to reseal them after you have opened them

Manual just means you have to line the bag up in the machine and push a button. There are expensive commercial sealers that you simply lay the bag in and PRESTO!

ok…I ran into problem and the order wouldn’t go through. Got as far as entering code for discount, accepting the free shipping and entered credit card info then got an error code. I called the company and tried to order it that way. He said the code is for the *8 inch mini model* and that if the code and order went through that is what people would be getting. I decided not to order.
