Just ordered one for myself as well….uh oh….this is the second item I’ve bought this morning. I’d better get off the computer! My code went through no problem (at 10:14) so for those of you where it’s not I guess just keep trying. As for the comment where they said the code is for the 8″ food saver and not the one we’re using it on, I doubt they’ll ship the wrong one, more likely that they will cancel the order. So….it was worth a shot.

Placed order, went through as $83.99 charge on my credit card. No place to ask for discount. Did not receive confirmation email. Checked my credit card statement and have immediate pending charge from company. Called customer service, they have no record of my order, said nothing they can do about the authorization to my card. Have to call credit card company and dispute authorization. Uggh!

Did you follow Collins instructions EXACTLY?? She says you need to click on the box (like she shows above) to EDIT, then you enter the code for the discount to apply.
I figured I did something wrong, and have no problem getting charged full price. The problem I do have is that when I called company to cancel the order they have no record of it. So I can’t dispute pending $83 charge on my credit card from them. Just frustrating.
***AFter an hour the confirmation email came through and the company was able to locate the order to cancel I reordered with discount on the internet.

it worked for me! make sure you are using zeros, not “o”- I made that mistake first, tried it again and it worked great. We just bought a quarter of a pig, it’s at the processors right now… so this could not have come at a more perfect time! need to seal all that bacon 🙂

Food Saver “machines” work VERY WELL. Mine is still working after several years and many of the readers here have commented that theirs have lasted for years. It is a money-saver in the long run (and food saver too!! :-)).
I have the older version, and just ordered this one. To answer your question, yes, they work WONDERFULLY! I love my Foodsaver. With some models, you can purchase attachments to seal jars as well. Don’t know if that is an option with this model.
