Lowe's Gift-a-Thon Begins Today at 10AM EST!
Lowes is hosting another crazy event (similar to the one they hosted on Black Friday) beginning at 10AM EST today, December 17th, and running through Sunday, December 19th, at 11PM EST. The Lowes Last Minute Gift-a-Thon will be taking place on the Lowes Facebook page and will offer a limited number of high value coupon codes (up to 90% off) throughout the weekend.
If you are interested in participating in this event, here’s what you need to do…
* Head over to the Lowes Facebook page and “like” them
* Beginning at 10AM EST today, Lowes will post status updates on their Facebook wall that present the offers (they will be posting product offers in several different sessions throughout the weekend).
* When they post the product offers, they will provide a link to an e-mail sign-up page. Click on the provided link and you will be sent to a page where you can enter your e-mail address.
* If your e-mail address is one of the first received (depending on the amount released for each item), a unique one-time use promotional code will be sent to you within 6 hours.

How often do they release codes??
I was finally able to enter the captcha code and get my email in! But GRRR to the captcha, what the heck??? Why change something that was working just fine?!

I think it was to weed out the people who were using “bots” to enter their email addresses. Way to go!

how do you know they got 7 fridges? That is so frustrating. I wasted my 3 days last time and got my emails in within 4 seconds and always got 20 % off coupon, even when they were giving out 2000 codes! I knew something was fishy!
I am guessing it is because people were cheating with automated software.
I got the page but the captcha would not load. I refreshed it a lot but no catcha! When I refreshed the whole thing I was denied access.

I am really not surprised it crashed, it’s been advertised all week on major news publications online and even featured on regular news programs. I do think Lowe’s will come back and try to fix things like they did over Black Friday.
Everything was working by the end of the Black Friday event, so I don’t know why they changed it up AGAIN! Stupid captcha wouldn’t load… Oh well, I’ll keep trying.. Good luck everyone!
They changed it up adding the Captcha to help prevent people from using programs to get thru and win. People knew how it worked from the first time and sadly there are those that will make or find the programs to take advantage of the situation. Would have been nice if Lowes had prepared better after all they did to advertise it.

The server keeps crashing or giving the No Access Denied page.

I’m sorry that you are offended by my post…I am not asking them to “Give” it away to me. I would compensate them. I am also refreshing the page as well and was only asking for those who had received a code for the same item before or have no need for it themselves.
If they don’t want it, yes. You don’t really have time to see what the item is, I just enter my email address as fast as I can. I got the air purifier last time and had no need for it, so I gave it to a friend.

They removed the post already. It was only up about 15-20 minutes. I got in about 11:15 am EST, I think.

Just a small tip, though some of you may have already noticed this. I think I would just periodically refresh the Lowe’s page instead of every second up until they show the link to “Please take a moment to…” This signals that the deal will be posted soon so this is the time I would start refreshing like crazy haha! 😀

From Lowe’s Facebook page: Hey fans, we see many of the 300 winners did make it through before the email site was overwhlemed Some of you should be receiving 90% off codes shortly.
I never saw that message – was it a comment left among the thousands and thousands of other comments? I did see the status now says ” Fans, 200 codes for 90% off the KitchenAid mixer are on their way out to you. Watch your email inboxes, and let us know if you get one! That means we have 100 more 90% off codes to send out to you for the mixer this weekend. We’re addressing the email form issue, and will be back at 3 p.m. EST with an update.” So if 300 people got through, they should have given out 300 codes and not 200.

This morning I got emails saying that I won the Dremmel, and the Paint!
When the server crashed for the Keurig Mini Plus, I just kept hitting “back” and entered again till it came up as closed…which was no more than 30 sec. To my absolute surprise I just got an email saying I got the Keurig! I have not clue how I am getting so lucky…I don’t have super fast internet or a super fast computer. The only thing I am doing is “pasting” my email…that saves precious seconds. 😉
