Lowe's Gift-a-Thon Begins Today at 10AM EST!
Lowes is hosting another crazy event (similar to the one they hosted on Black Friday) beginning at 10AM EST today, December 17th, and running through Sunday, December 19th, at 11PM EST. The Lowes Last Minute Gift-a-Thon will be taking place on the Lowes Facebook page and will offer a limited number of high value coupon codes (up to 90% off) throughout the weekend.
If you are interested in participating in this event, here’s what you need to do…
* Head over to the Lowes Facebook page and “like” them
* Beginning at 10AM EST today, Lowes will post status updates on their Facebook wall that present the offers (they will be posting product offers in several different sessions throughout the weekend).
* When they post the product offers, they will provide a link to an e-mail sign-up page. Click on the provided link and you will be sent to a page where you can enter your e-mail address.
* If your e-mail address is one of the first received (depending on the amount released for each item), a unique one-time use promotional code will be sent to you within 6 hours.

This is definitely worth the time! 🙂 I won a Kitchen Aid Mixer and a Shark Mop last time around. They have made some improvements for this round too…so I would recommend playing!
I’m debating participating. When they did the black Friday ones, even for the items that they had THOUSANDS of, when I sent in my email with in seconds of the promo going live, I didn’t win a single thing. Kinda felt like a lot of work for no return.
I heard your chances of winning depend on how close you live to their servers. I did not win anything either even though I signed up for stuff the second they went live.
It all crashed anyway…no one can get anything to work, Lowe’s has acknowledged it! 🙁
I participated last time and really liked when they switched to the email sign-up page. I did snag a Kobalt screwdriver set for 90% off so it was $2.20 after discount. I wanted to give it to my brother in law but my husband said no way, he wants it!

I tried to participate on Black Friday and they were just not prepared…the site crashed and they had to postpone the promo….don’t know if it is worth all the time I wasted then, to try it again and waste my time! Just sayin….
I’m with Elizabeth, I wasted a lot of time waiting around for the deal to go live and no matter how fast I got in my email I didn’t receive a single thing! Not worth the time and effort.
If I’m around the computer when they do it I’m definitely going to participate but last time I did it right away and wasnt even close to winning. It’s exciting and gets my adrenaline going, haha!! But I hate being let down when I’m that close !!!

I am so excited for this!! I did the Black Friday one and ended up with 90% codes for the KitchenAid Mixer (LOVE!), Keurig coffee maker (LOVE!), and air purifier (friend with allergies LOVES!). No, I did not cheat the system, but I did waste my weekend sitting on Facebook. Well worth it though! For participating and not winning on other items, I also got 2 $10 off coupons (emailed to my 2 email addresses) with NO minimum amount spent. So I got 2 free cases of K-cups for my Keurig. I participated last time. Even when i clicked the link within a few seconds of it being posted, i did not get in. The page would not load and i had to try several times just to even get into the page where you put your email in. By then, of course, you know you are not going to be one of the first people. I did get into some of them after a few tries but no wins. My son played a few and did win the 90% off code for an inexpensive tool bag. We also got 10$ coupons just for playing. Plus, it was kind of fun. I will play this time and see if they got the issues worked out. I was kind of unimpressed when a man at the store in front of me picked up several items he got at 90% off, and he had the 10$ coupon too. I will probably only play for a little bit, because i have a full weekend. It is kind of unfun to keep hitting the refresh button over and over too. I love that Lowes is doing this though. What great advertising!

I didn’t win anything last time, but I did receive an email thanking me for participating and in it was a ten dollar off any purchase coupon for Lowes! I went and bought paint for free!

i played last time and was able to win the mixer, air purifier, screwdriver set, and tool bag as well as 2 $10 off (one for my email and one for my husbands)….nothing magical just luck! i was super excited and hope i can score a deal or two this time although i think our chances are a lot less with a lot more people participating!

I really want to participate – but we are not allowed to access facebook on my job – I wish they would wait until after 5 pm and the weekend to do this. So many facebook opportunities are missed out by those of us who work full time and are not able to access facebook while working….

Posted the Kitchen Aid but the servers are already overloaded….Not worth it.
I kept hitting refresh and caught it as soon as it came up…it took me to the entry page and then said DNS server error 🙁
They are posting links to the items on their fb page. You have to click on the link and then they will email you the 90% off code. But right now there is a server error with the first item.
I saw it the second it was posted, clicked on the link…and the capcha they require wouldn’t load. GRRR… I really wanted the mixer, too, that was the one item I tried to get Black Friday!

I am totally confused. Do you have to keep refreshing the Wall constantly? Do you have to comment on every product? Do you have to “like” everything?
You only need to “like” Lowes. You do have to refresh constatly or you will miss the posts with the items. The link that the posted that says “WHATS THE FIRST ITEM” is what you are suppose to click on but its not working.
My daughter spend an entire day+ on their last promotion like this. It was maddening! So totally random to know if you’ve won anything. She only scored a few 20% off coupons, but after it was all over she got emails with coupons for $10 off her next purchase. It wasn’t really worth the $30 in coupons to spend the entire day glued to the computer reading everyone’s impatient, and unkind comments during the event.
