    It is a valid complaint for the company not to own up to the mistake. I don’t expect them to lose money, but we all thought it was valid deal, since it was under ‘clearance’. I do think they should just tell the truth. Oh well, you win some , you lose some.

    Why does everyone feel entitled? Oh, the company made a mistake, they NEED to honor the price. So you got a confirmation # & maybe an email, but that doesn’t mean squat until it ACTUALLY gets packed & shipped. The Co. caught the mistake and did the right thing by cancelling potential orders. Everyone complaining probably never heard of this company before Collins post and would probably never order again even if the $9 boots got shipped.

      I am not complaining about not getting the boots, nor do I feel entitled… It is just the company should admit the mistake. Everyone makes mistakes, that is part of life. Not worth stressing out over.

      Entitled? Try again. That is a very simplistic assessment of the complaining on this thread. I actually would have been fine if they would have just sent an email saying WHY they canceled. “Hey, we priced these incorrectly, sorry have to cancel.” Fine. But no, they lied. They said they were out of stock. They aren’t, they’re selling the same thing right now, just at a different price.

      So am I entitled? Yes. I expect reputable businesses to tell the truth to their customers. Now these liars have my credit card info. Do I trust them? NO!

        And you are so right! I just got off of the phone with someone named Rob who was really rude. I am calling my local news media, and I will get something done about it. It’s one thing to make a mistake, but to “LIE” is another. One of the customer service rep’s told me after I called back after I hung up from talking to that other rude person, said someone typed in the wrong price, and for those of us that placed the order should have our order shipped for that price.

        I can pay for the boot’s for whatever the price is, it’s no big deal to me, money is no issue. I am blessed to live a wonderful life, with a house that’s paid for with deed in hand, cars paid for, as well, no bills other than light, gas, sewer, food, garbage. I thank God that whatever I get, I’m able to give to people who are in need. For those who are saying some of us are making a big deal out of it. “RIGHT IS RIGHT, AND WRONG IS WRONG, and this time, this company is in the “WRONG”! And they are not going to get away with it.

        I hate it when people try to use others. They will honor this deal, it’s the right thing to do. If they were sold out, they wouldn’t have taken the entire deal off the site, period. They will be hearing from the news media, real soon. “STAY TUNED”. 😉

          why do ppl delete their comments? that is really cowardice. if you can’t stick by what you write, then don’t reply at all! Like the saying goes, can’t take the heat, then stay out of the kitchen!!
          Is this really worth it to get upset over, its 2 days before Christmas and everyone is in a complete uproar. Do you see Collin demanding them to make it right? gawd, its not that serious, move on!

          That sucks that he was so rude to you. Judging by all the replies here, my guess is that he probably has dealt with a lot of angry, rude people today. Although, certainly as a customer service agent, he should have been able to rise above that.

          You can get the media involved but I am not sure that is going to get you much. They cancelled your order and did not charge you. You are in the same place you were a few hours ago – no boots, same amount of money in your pocket. They likely tried to shut down the bleeding as quickly as possible and used wording they already have in place. Its not so much a lie as they enacted a process that did not accurately address this specific incident. If the media does contact them for a statement, they will have had time to create a better statement: Someone made a mistake. We are sorry. We reserve the right to make changes. Blah, blah, blah. Not much of a story here.

          Extending grace and forgiveness during the biggest “Gimme, I deserve” season of the year. Now there is a story.

            Yes you are so right. I just thought it was awful in the way they LIED about it. I’ve noticed when people bring in the news media, they normally get things corrected. Merry Christmas, I pray you get all you asked for under the Christmas Tree this year… 🙂

I’m sorry you have time to be so bothered by something as trivial as alerting the media of this terrible injustice one day before Christmas. I hope their is a loving family and friends included in your list of “blessings”.

            Sugar Pie, You are presumptious b/c I didn’t even say what the coupon was for, just that it was a Target IP. Look, I have had orders cancelled myself. Recently Woman Within. If you don’t remember it, there was a $50/$50 purchase code. My order stayed ‘processing’ for a week before it was eventually cancelled. I never got an explanation, other than the order was cancelled. Word was, after the fact, the code was only for a select group of customers. I certainly didn’t pitch a fit, scream, yell, demand action, call the local news media b/c I wasn’t told of the mistake. Was I upset? sure ,I really could have used the new shoes. Heck, life works in mysterious ways b/c later on, I won a $50 Visa GC from my son’s school raffle, which I used on an even nicer pair of shoes from Macy’s.
            And you’re darn tootin I’ll have a wonderful Target filled New Year.

        Twisted Boo? The only thing twisted here is grammar and spelling. I certainly would and have gotten upset by a business not honoring a coupon. I didn’t really throw a fit about these boots because I figured as much would happen. Whats the most disturbing is that people are willing to rip another human being to shreds over the loss of a good deal.

            OMG! I felt like I was witnessing a fight between 2 yr old’s. It is almost Christmas and we have grown adults calling each other names, trying to out shot each, and just being nasty.     received my cancellation e-mail. darn!! funny how it said out of stock when we knew it was back ordered to begin with. doesn’t that mean it was already out of stock when i placed the order? looks like someone made a mistake with the price and instead of owning up to their mistake they are saying out of stock. i wonder if anyone will actually get them??

    Wow! I am surprised that so many people are SO angry. It was a bonus anyway…. its not like you were planning to get $9 shoes all along and something stopped you. Collin just happened to find a deal and you just happened to see it…

    I personally have been off since Thursday and am through the end of the year. And I thank God that I get this time with my family! These people are having to work and are now getting a hard time over a simple mistake! Its Christmas people!! Lighten up. What if they did have to honor it and decided to take the $$ out of someone’s paycheck… it is REALLY worth you getting cheap boots at someone else’s expense? Think a little before making a mistake and let’s be the Christian men and women we are supposed to be…..

      These are not cheap boot’s. My neighbor has a pair. Christian or not, has nothing to do with this. If Jesus himself made a mistake He would be the first to say He was sorry, and would break bread with us, and do the right thing. However, you have some of these companies that are greedy, and are out for money, and more money.

      What about some of these women or men on this very site that only had 10.00 to puchase a gift for someone for Christmas and went on this site and placed the order for these boot’s? Cheap or not, this may have been all they could afford. What do you say to them?

        I say the exact same thing I said to anyone else… take the high road and be the person God would have you to be. If you only have $10 for boots… God will provide the boots for you…. Like I said – its Christmas for crying out loud! Why should they HAVE to sell you something for a ridiculously low price?

    I don’t think that I should get the boots for the incorrect price and I don’t mind that it was cancelled. That would have been a big loss for the company and that isn’t something I would want. The only part that bothered me was they did lie. They could have just said it was mispriced and was unable to sell it for that price but with a lie it just leaves a bad first impression for me and this company 🙁

    Wow. you people are crazy. I’m sure there’s not some person out there typing out all these cancellation emails. It’s some pre-programed generated response that is automatically sent out by a computer if “x” happens. I’m also sure that the customer service personnel have nothing to do with keying in the prices. so give them a break.

    I agree, people are getting all upset about something that should have been a fun bonus!! But I do have a question, is there any precautions that I should be taking since they do have my credit card number??? Has anyone dealt with this company before? Are they repuatable?       honestly, your credit card number is floating around everywhere, so it doesn’t matter if one company has it. Every time you swipe your card at a grocery or drug store, someone can hack your #.

    I was very upset that my order got canceled. My opinion was that the company should have honored all of the orders placed since they were at fault. I e-mailed the company, explaining how upset I was and also stating my opinion on the whole situation. They replied and offered me an additional $10 coupon code. I still believe that they should honor the order, but since they’re dead set against this, the $10 coupon code was a nice gesture. I don’t think I will use it, though, because overall, I’m not too impressed with this company.

    I have made orders online before and got the same email with almost the same wording on items from a different store. This is not unusual and it could be that they had only so many they were clearancing out. Sometimes the coding on the computer program gets messed up resulting in incomplete and completed orders that must be cancelled. I am sure many of you have had a computer glitch causing the loss of what you were working on. Merry Christmas everyone, don’t let a computer issue cause you to raise your blood pressure, it is just not worth it. God bless those that have to work and listen to all the negative junk.
