      called, but didn’t give guy details of what i orderd…he said it takes some time for your order to show up. I asked if I ordered something backordered and have an order # would it ship? He said if i have that order #, it will ship! Lets all hope they do.

    It’s 12 :07 and I’ve noticced they already took off the ad! I did get to order a pair so we’ll see if they in fact ship them. I got off the phone with customer service and they said that the orders placed should be honored. Their website has a 100% satisfaction guarantee so I hope they do honor the price ~ it’d be a nice change from other deals I’ve tried to get online (only to have them cancel it)! Fingers crossed!

    That’s too bad! Would have been a nice pair of boots for my hubby. Hope they don’t abuse all of our credit cards. How can such a big mistake be made??

    They took the ad down…LOL!! I got my order in just in time before they caught their mistake. I got my husband and my son a pair. My order is still processing, they should honor what they advertised on their website, it is against the law. I got a confirmation email about my order, so I will wait until Jan. 21, 2011 to see if my card will be charged. Thank you for sharing Collin. Now this is the BEST DEAL YET…:) “MERRY CHRISTMAS”!!

    In the “About us” section on their website there is a section for errors that reads “Errors
    We do our best to make sure the correct photo, price and copy are shown. But…sometimes we make a mistake. In the event of any such mistake, we reserve the right to charge the correct price, to ship the correct item, or to correct the mistake. However, you will be notified at the time you order and…we beg your pardon.”

    BUT I think once you have an order confirmation they should honor it since it wasn’t notified at the time we purchased. I will be fighting this for sure. My pregnancy hormones will be up to bat. lol!

      They did not notify me of any change at “the time your order” Therefore IMO they have forfeited that right and I expect to receive the product for the price advertised.

    I LOVE a good deal!! I LOVE to coupon!! But I don’t want to just rip anybody off either…mistakes happen and for us to pounce like vicious tigers is not very appealing. They don’t ‘owe’ us anything. If they are having a good clearance with good coupons ALRIGHT!! But errors happen. And if you snag something due to an error well OK I guess, I’ve done that too. But to get fire engine mad becasue they corrected themselves just doesn’t seem right. Kind of makes me understand why the stores vs. couponing is getting so tense. Just saying. 🙂

        I totally agree… This is what i was thinking as I read through these post. They are human to and make mistakes. As long as they notify you before the item ships that it will be at the higher price then they are doing their part. You have the option of cancelling or if they cancel for you reordering at the correct price. I do not feel it is right to try and profit from someones mistake only to get angry when it doesn’t work.

        I agree. I also find it ridiculous that some of those posting here are complaining about this deal and saying the company should have to honor the price. Really? Even if the honoring the error bankrupts the company? They must be perfect in every aspect of their lives and never make mistakes. Although I am sure that’s far from the truth.

      I agree that you can’t be stupid and stubborn about couponing and deal hunting! You catch more bees with honey! BUT I don’t think this company handled it well. They could have been honest about it and said they were mispriced and they were really sorry. To offer $5, which isn’t even 10% off seems sort of silly. It is the holidays! If they gave everyone who ordered a coupon code for even 20% off with an honest explanation and apology, there would be a lot less frustration! If they were losing $80 per pair of boots, they could have lost close to a quarter million this morning alone! To just say “sold out!” seems… well condescending and totally disconnected from being concerened about their customers in general! Not impressed with this company…. But I do think there people that are going to try to force the issue totally over the top.

    I just called because I got a follow up email stating I would not be getting my boots. So I wanted to know why and first she said because they were discontinued and then she looks at my order and said they put the wrong price on. It should have been $88.56. That’s not my fault that they listed the wrong price. They should honor it by all means. She just said sorry nothing I can do. Wow what awesome customer service. Will not order from them again.

      I also work at a online/catalog customer service department and this is standard. If we were to ship the item then we would honor the price or let you return for credit if we could not honor the price. If we catch mistake before item ships then we would notify you of the mistake and it is your choice to cancel or accept at the higher price. Sometimes companies have 3rd parties that input this information for them. They are not responsible for the mistake and try to do what they can to make the customer happy without bankrupting themselves.

    I just got an email stating that the items were out of stock. This is what it said “We are sorry for any inconvenience, but not all of the items from your order can be shipped.
    Below is the list of items that could not ship complete. All other items should have shipped or are shipping soon.” Uh! I knew that! I knew they were out of stock and not shipping ’til the 20th because that’s what the website stated! No need to cancel the order!!! :((

    wow – I must have squeaked by – called the MIL and together ordered 7 pair – and got to use the coupon code! Just got my confirmation email, said it will be shipping Jan 21 – card will be charged at time of shipping. I am thinking, considering how fast the deal died, that it must have been a misplacement of the decimal point and we all should have been paying $85.60/pair. As much as I love getting a deal, the company will be taking a loss for this mistake and someone will likely lose their job over it – for those of you who didn’t get in on it, or if all our orders are canceled, please keep that in mind, no matter if it’s fair or not. This is less an issue of the company standing behind posted prices than it is about someone’s job in the middle of winter.

      just got my cancellation email – you know, if they had just told the truth and said that they made a mistake, instead of saying they were sold out, this would have set a bit better with me – when I called to see if I could order this boot today, they said yes, and that the price was $88.56 – so, obviously not sold out.

    I placed a order for 4 pair of boots. It gave me a con. # and I sure hope this goes through. It said January 21. items would be available. Guess I will wait and see but I thought about printing the information and wrapping it for Christmas but if there is a chance of cancellation I will just skip that idea.     I just ordered a pair (at 1:00pm ET) I had the page opened from earlier, just waiting for my hubby to call with his size. It let me order no problem, but when I hit the back button, they were gone. I had read all your comments about them cancelling the orders, but I really hoped maybe they wouldn’t cancel them afterall. This would really help us out. Just waiting for my cancellation 🙁

    I wish that they would just admit their mistake. When I first saw this post, I got on to place an order and my husband’s size wasn’t available in either of the colors. A few minutes later, I checked it again and magically his size was available in both colors, so I placed an order, knowing that they were on backorder. You even had to agree to continue to the backorder…so for them to say SOLD OUT, is just BS.

    Last year, Target had a mistake, where they priced a Britax Carseat for $49 instead or $249. They cancelled all the orders the next day. This was all over the web(I think it even made the news) and they stated that they could cancel them because they have a clause in small print saying if they mistakenly put the wrong price down, they don’t have to honor it. I wonder if this company has the same clause.

      Most websites do and as a consumer when you purchase something from that merchant’s website you are agreeing to those terms. Price mistakes happen. Sometimes deals work out and sometimes they don’t.

      Well said… If I was Collin reading how “ungrateful” everyone is I would think twice about posting the next good deal I found.. Be thankful if you get the boots. Otherwise, what is the BIG deal? Mine got cancelled too!!! It’s not like we are actually losing anything here people!!!

      Agreed. The only thing that makes me sad is that they are lying about the reason why they can’t honor the price. Just tell the truth, ya know? I don’t think we should gain because people mess up, goodness I’d make people rich from my imperfections….just fess up and tell the truth…

        I dont know that I would call it lying. I know when Best Buy has deal buster prices that it will say sold out but it means that item at that price is sold out but the item could still be available at a higher price. Also I think that it it a lot easier to say sold out (because the site is already programed to do this) then to make a long explanation. We all knew why it said sold out. Is it really necessary for them to state it.

      Seriously, I feel as if a lot of the comments and behaviors of deal seekers and couponers have been very greedy in the past month. This is no judgement on Collin but there seems to be a lot of negativity when a deal that was too good to be true anyway doesn’t work out and greed when there is a good deal and people talk about getting as much as they could to stock up leaving the rest of us who have limited time without being able to take advantage of a good deal. I know it is Christmas, money is tight and it is exciting to get a good deal but make sure that you all are aware that there are mistakes made in this world and also there are other people who would also like to take advantage of a good deal also!
