Has anyone had great success with this? I hate arguing about coupons with the cashier in the store, and it seems the only people who are getting it to work are after much persuasion. I don’t want to waste my time and effort and not be able to grab them after all. Thanks πŸ™‚

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

i’m on hold with cvs corp as we speak b/c cvs wont honor my coupon!

      • TaraLynn

that’s what I’m afraid of, good luck!!!

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Let me know what they said! I am in the same boat as you. I hate having to make a big deal over the coupon, but if it is a legit thing, then why must someone who goes through the effort to print the coupon, use it the right way be punished?

      • Bridgette

Please let me know what they say as I was going to travel out of town in order to get this deal because I have alot of pics of the twins and I love the photobooks.

    • Lu

I haven’t tried it yet, but there should be no reason for them to give you any hassle. I sent an e-mail to CV customer service a few months ago asking very specifically if CVS accepts BOGO printable coupons on CVS BOGO sales and she clearly stated that YES they do! I printed it out and I keep it in my binder so I can bust it out if anyone questions me. Luckily, I haven’t had to do that at CVS yet. If it would make you feel more confident being armed with something in writing you could show them should any problems come up then send them a quick e-mail and when they respond to you, print it out and bring it to the store with you. πŸ™‚ They got back to me within 24 hours. Good luck!

      • Lu

Ugh. I was typing my response when you guys responded…so aggravating they are giving you a hard time. Let us know what they say!

      • TaraLynn

That sounds like a great idea, I think I will email them first. Do you happen to know the email for Custome service? Can only find a phone number (which doesn’t provide written proof when I want to whip it out haha) and a mailing address..

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

ok, cvs corporate was very nice & informed me that i was, in fact, correct and that the manager would personally call me when my books were ready for pick up. i asked the manager about this sale/coupon before i made the books. then when i went to pay, she had changed her tune! the manager at the store tried telling me my coupon was fraudulent if i “bought 2”. however, if i “bought 4” i could use my coupon, pay for 1 & get 3 free. huh?? i asked her how that made any sense? she had no answer other than “thats what corporate says”. funny how corporate told me a different story. it should work, some managers are just misinformed.

        • Lu

          Sure do! customercare@cvs.com

In fact, here is their response so anyone having difficulty can see it IS their policy to accept BOGO printable coupons on CVS BOGO sales..hope it helps!

          Dear Leslie::

Thank you for contacting CVS/pharmacy regarding our coupon policy. Although our coupon policy is not posted anywhere so it can be printed, I would be happy to answer your questions.

Our registers are set to allow one CVS coupon and one manufacturer coupon per item. However, the staff should be allowing customers to use Extra Bucks in combination with other CVS coupons since these are coupons you have β€œearned.”

When an item is on sale for buy one, get one free and the customer has a buy one get one free coupon for that same product, the coupon will be accepted and both items will essentially become free (plus any applicable sales tax).

If you are purchasing an item that costs less than the coupon you have, the cashier can adjust the coupon down to meet the price of the item.

If you purchase 5 items and have 5 manufacturer coupons, you can apply all 5 coupons as long as there are no restrictions printed on the coupon itself.

Again, Leslie, thank you for contacting CVS/pharmacy. I have answered all of your coupon questions and I hope you find the answers to be helpful. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

          Sincerely,

          Laura

          • TaraLynn

            Thanks so much Leslie!! πŸ™‚

          • Christine

How did you contact CVS via email? I cannot locate any email address for them anywhere.

    • sheila

I just scored!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The cashier had no problem with this coupon I actually got the 8×10 photo book for 14.99 then 1 free from CVS and then used the coupn and she took 19.99 off I also used a $5.99 off from coupons.com for HP prints and bougnt a gallon of milk my total was $7.19 LOVE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      • dekya7

did you make it in the store or cvsphoto.com [for pick-up at the store]?

  2. Olivia Smith

Awesome- the last time I tried to print this it said I had already exceeded my limit!! πŸ™‚

  3. Crystal

Do you have to create the books in-store or can you order them online with in-store pickup?

    • TaraLynn

I believe in store- online they say buy get one 50% off. And many people have had problems with online orders

      • SUSAN

Is there a way to put them together onlien and then print them in store? Since it’s all digital, it should be possible.

        • Whitney

yes, you can make them online and pick up in store!

          • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How do u make them online and then pick them up in store? thanks! sorry i’ve never done this before! & also its all week long to right? so i can wait til thurs to make them & pick them up friday?

            • megs0575

You can just design them on the CVS web-site and it will give you a choice if you want them shipped or if you want to pick them up. There’s a store locator function that let’s you select pick-up at the store nearest you.

    • Anne

That was my question as well. I have the coupons printed out but haven’t gone yet. I have never done one of these photo books and I am confused on how to exactly do it.

The pictures I have are on my computer. Do I just pick which ones and load them onto the memory stick in my camera?

      • megs0575

If you design the books on-line, you can upload the pictures you want straight to their website from your computer. You don’t need a memory stick. You just hit the tab that says upload photos. The tool will then let you browse your computer to find the pics you want to upload. (I usually upload all my pictures at this point….you can then select the individual pictures you want to use when you make your book.) You’ll probably have to download their software so you can upload your photos, but it’s really easy and you do it on the same screen. My rec is that you just go to their website and start playing! It’s not hard once you start doing it and you can’t break anything!

        • melissa c

This vary but I had an issue because I made them online for pickup in store. They would not allow me to use the kodak coupon because the fine print stated they had to be made at the kiosk in store. They confirmed they would accept the coupon if I come back make them in store and I would pay only tax. $20 lesson learned the hard way….. Ymmv though.

          • Emily

If you read the coupon, it says not valid for online orders.
            HTH! πŸ™‚

            • Melissa

              Thank you!!!!!!!

  4. MindyK

Can anyone attest to the quality of the books? Are they better than snapfish or Kodak Gallery?

    Thanks!

    • mommytanchez

They are fairly nice. They are basically bound pictures and only 1 sided, not really “books” but do look very nice. I’ve always made mine online but the kiosk was very easy & for free you can’t beat it! Walmart.com has great books & are also cheaper than the other sites.

  5. tereza

I have used coupon last night with no probs. Cashier has to use managers code, but this is standard for all coupons above $10. I think that quality is better than Snapfish. Basically you get photos that are stapeled together and then insterted into black cover with window on front. I like CVS photobooks.

  6. Angela

the only problem I am having is they are saying this is a CVS book not a Kodak book. UGH. I did get them to accept it with some begging.

    • Dana

I had the same problem, the book they used was a generic brand, even though the photos themselves were on Kodak paper. The coupon beeped. The manager pushed it through saying “if we don’t, they are going in the trash anyways right”. So I still got both free but felt like I did something wrong.

  7. fla_gen

The coupon was not reset for me. Printed on last Thursday, and tried again today, but it remembered me and wouldn’t let me print again.

    • Renee L

I printed them last week too and it reset for me today

  8. Yvette

I went to go get it and they told me that I had to order photos in order to get it. Did anyone else have this problem.

  9. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the info. I was curious of the acceptance. I really want one, but I hate to waste the time and not get “the deal”.

  10. Courtney

    Not reset for me.

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    no reset.

  12. Michelle

I have bought 10 books and paid only $5.66 for all of them. My Cvs is GREAT.No problem with coupon.

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It says on the Kodak coupon, not to be combined with any other offer. Doesn’t that prohibit you from using it with the deal already offered from CVS? Wondering if anyone had a problem with this?

  14. Anne

This is as bad as figuring out the SOBE deal. LOL

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So….has anyone had luck making the books online and picking up and using the coupons??

    • Julie

nope. I tried and then had to pay for one because the coupon says not valid on internet orders. must be made at the kiosk. The manager tried and tried to make it work, but then told me that I had to make it in store to use it. I made two more in store and those were free.

  16. Ashley Gillespie

I went to the store and they would NOT honor my coupon. I had already spent an hour trying to get the photobooks made and didn’t have time to call customer service. I am so disappointed. I had to pay for the other photobook, but I emailed customer service and I am hoping that I can go get a couple FREE photobooks later on..

  17. Kristin

Where is the coupon located or is it already gone? I can’t find it when I click on the link! Help please? Thanks!

  18. Shana

I just called and spoke with the manager @ my local CVS. He said there was no problem combining the store BOGO with the mfc BOGO. However, I was told that I had to make the books in-store b/c the photobook company online is different than Kodak so they wouldn’t be able to honor the mfc coupon. Hope this helps!

  19. Elvira P

Can you upload at home and then pick up and use coupons? Anyone know?

    • katie

i called my local store and was told that i can make the book online using their Express Pickup option only. you should check with your store… i only knew of this because other people suggested it on here too. only some of the stores in my area even have Express Pickup, so it helps to call in advance!

  20. Amber

I just did this with no problems!

  21. dekya7

Hi collin: need help here…not that i want to be spoon fed, i did try the kodak website link but for some reason – i can’t find the freaking coupon, LOL.

  22. Jennifer T

I’m going to make the books in-store. Do I put the pictures that I want in the photo books in an USB flash drive? I’ve never make a photo book at CVS so I’m not sure how that goes. Also, how long does it usually take to make it in-store?

    • christa

You can bring them in on a flash drive or a CD or even just use your camera’s memory card.

  23. Katie

Went to CVS, did not honor coupon. I was fed up so just used ECB to help with the cost. So, two books for $7.00. Anyway, the coupon doesn’t ring up b/c I did it at the kiosk and not the “other Kodak machine” By that point I had tried twice to do the transaction on two seperate days. Was done. Funny once I told the manager that I spoke to corporate she did finally allow the BOGO with a coupon. But….coupon still didn’t ring up. With all that said, I believe a BIG part of sales and couponing is the store, the employees and the managers. That is what makes it or breaks it.

  24. Heather Olson Becker

How many books are you guys getting at a time? Are you printing multiple coupons? Do you make the books right there and pick them up at the same time?

    • Keli

It took me an hour and a half to print out three books. The Kiosk is VERY slow, and it jammed on my fourth book. They let me “pay” for them all, taking the coupons with no problem, and they are going to call me tomorrow when my last book is ready. My CVS rocks! I just hate that it takes so long to print the 8X10 photos.

  25. Brooke

I have a question, does everyone’s CVS make you pay tax on coupons? Just curious because I had to pay tax on coupons on my last purchase and I refuse to shop there.

    • fran

I don’t know if this is all over or just in N.J., but when a store offers a coupon for a taxable item, you should not pay tax. If you buy a taxable item (shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, etc.), and you use a mfr. cents-off coupon or a mfr. free coupon, you are responsible for the tax. So in the case of these photo books, you should only pay tax on the one you are getting free with the Kodak coupon. HTH πŸ™‚

    • Nancy

It all depends on your local tax code. Every state, county and city can be different.

  26. Karen

Does anyone have an idea of how many pages are included. I want to have my pictures ready before I head to the store.

    • Mandy

10 single side pages. I made all of mine online and then picked them up.

  27. jane

Do you know if you can include captions for each photo?

  28. MsMoneyStretcher

HORRAY!!!!!!!!!!!! I final got to print it, b4 they where all gone. Thank you for updating your post so frequently!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  29. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

SO GLAD THIS WAS RESET! Just went on a great vacation and I LOVE the book idea…but was bummed when the coupon wouldn’t print…SOOO EXCITED!

  30. maryann

It didn’t work for me. πŸ™
I did make them online. The clerk called over the manager and she would only allow the manufacturers coupon and not the CVS deal.
The quality isn’t that great – I am tempted to return them.

  31. Sara W

I just went to CVS and made 8 books for $5.42! (tax). That’s $120 worth of books! I was tempted to try and make them online, but I was scared they would hassle me about it. They couldn’t have been nicer at my store. πŸ™‚

  32. Carolyn

I got back from my CVS an hour ago… with my books, but paid for – not with the coupon. I tried making them yesterday at the CVS closest to me, but their printer wasn’t working correctly (which of course they didn’t tell me until AFTER I had made both of my books). Today I went to a different one, things moved slowly but they eventually printed and were made… I went to pay and WHAT?! You have a COUPON!??!?!?!! Oh my. I explained how it works a few times. The manager was pretty non-helpful. So I said fine, I’ll just buy them and call Corporate tomorrow. He said “Well, let me try one more time so you don’t have to do that.” Haha. But it still beeped for him to add his code and I think he didn’t want to do that, so he wasn’t going to do it. I have a double ear infection and am in pain anyway, so I didn’t feel like fighting it – I said I’ll just pay for them and call corporate tomorrow. The manager walked away and the cashier tried to apologize – I wasn’t mad, just annoyed, and I’m not trying to call corporate to get them in trouble, but I also know it should work. I went home and an hour later got a phone call from the CVS – it was the manager, who said that he talked to their Store Manager and she said that they CAN do it “this time” so I just need to go back in tomorrow night when he’ll be there and he’ll take care of it “so I don’t have to call corporate.” HAHA! Whatever! Hopefully by tomorrow I’ll be on some better medicine and feeling a bit better, and it’ll flow a little more easily.

The best part is that the books I made are pictures of our girls from previous trips to DisneyWorld, and the last page is a picture stating that they’re going again in February, so it’s all good. πŸ™‚

    • Emma

so cute… they must be so excited

  33. Lynette

I just phoned the two CVS stores closest to my house and neither one of them will accept the coupon because “they have nothing to do with Kodak”. It just doesn’t seem fair that some stores will accept them and some won’t. Bummer! πŸ™

  34. Donna

every time i try to print this coupon it says Sorry! You have already printed
this coupon the number of times allowed. even tho i have most definately NOT printed this coupon even once πŸ™ oh well.

  35. stephanie

I made my books instore and used the Kodak kiosk. The store still wouldn’t take the coupon πŸ™ Maybe I will contact CVS customer service as well.

  36. DP

I went and they wouldnt take the coupon tonight – they said to come back tommorow after they called the manager at home.

  37. Melissa Y.

Has anyone tried using this coupon on the 8.5 x 11 photo books? If you did, did it work?

  38. Jennifer T

I went to CVS today and they wouldn’t take my coupon. I made the photo books at the store. I’m going to call customer’s service tomorrow. Has anyone called customer’s service, and if so, what happen?

    • nika

      Sounds like my trip.
Over an hour sitting at the Kodak kiosk making the books. Even asked clerk about deal and coupon.
When I was done putting book together, and tried to print receipt, it said error with printer, so the clerk told me to push proceed without receipt. Went to pay and cashier said I couldn’t use coupon because book was already free, yada yada yada…
Explained coupon to him and other employee with no success.
Said I wanted to call customer service but they were closed for holiday.
      Went home & emailed corporate.
Went back this morning and spoke with manager and she tells me that I can’t use coupon because I didn’t use Kodak machine. I told her I did, and gave her an account of the night before. She then says that if it prints from the machine behind counter, its CVS. If it prints from Kodak machine, its Kodak. I told her it did print from Kodak machine. She then says because I hit proceed without receipt, that makes it a CVS book and not a Kodak book. What! So I pulled out the email Leslie posted and handed it to her. She said hold on, & then walked to phone to make a call. From her responses, I could tell the person was confirming what I said.
She then comes back over and says that the ad is for the Cvs book and not the Kodak. We look at the ad and no where does it say cvs photobook.
She then agrees to take one coupon but of course it beeps. She then says it won’t even let her take the coupon.
I said ok. I will talk to corporate on Monday and come back. And when I have my answer will she still honor the deal that expires today, & she said she would.
      This is just insane!

  39. vikky

    whats CVS corporate #?
stores around me does not accept the coupon πŸ™

  40. DP

They told me tonight because the photo book itself is a CVS book (even though the pictures are printed on Kodak paper) and the coupon is for a Kodak book they could not take the coupon.

  41. dekya7

Two big guys [the cashier and manager] just bullied me out of this deal. Grrrrr. They wouldn’t let me use the BOGO Q on top of their advertised promo. The cashier told me that I cannot combine. The manager said save it for later. Those photos are supposed to be a gift to our parents tomorrow and I just don’t have the money to pay for it.

  42. Kevin

Too bad that we were not able to use these coupons. And why some cashiers/managers are not willing to help out, if store will get reimbursed for these coupons.

  43. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Same problem cashier would not take coupon, she called manager he said to override it, she tried but couldn’t. Kept agruing with me that I can’t bogo, so didn’t push it. Guess I’ll try calling CVS tomorrow.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Had no problem at my CVS. Made 4 books online using the Express feature. I did have to place 2 separate orders (2 books each) to be able to select the pay in store option. When the cashier tried to scan the coupon it wouldn’t take it, but the manager simply did an override and I walked away with 4 free books. LOVE IT!!!!

  44. APRIL

My husband and myself went to CVS last night and got 4 books for free had No Problems our cashier was Great she helped us through the whole process .

    • nika

What exactly did they do about the coupon beeping?

  45. Samantha Booker

I asked before I tried to make any books and the supervisor said that since they were CVS books I couldn’t use the coupons. He did say that the Kodak books will be on sale ( I am assuming BOGO, but not positive) in 2 weeks….after the coupons expire, of course.

I did notice that the coupons say there is a limit of one per customer, but it would have been nice to get at least a couple for free, anyway.

    • Niki

I have to say I love CVS and I don’t love CVS. I went to a store near my home and ask before I do it, and a cashier said “NO”. I went to other store and asked again, they said “Yes”. I only did 2 books (I could have done 4), but I was too chicken to try to get 4 book free. I know…i know….I wish I was a tiger instead.

  46. LeslieK

Well, after reading all of the comments on the CVS photo books, I was very skeptical if it would work, but decided to try it anyway. SUCCESS!!! My CVS really went above and beyond. I made several mistakes- I created the photo books online, I ordered the double-sided photo book instead of the single-sided, and when I placed my online order, I didn’t put the coupon code in because I thought I was going to pick it up in person and the BOGO would come off. In addition, I didn’t realize that the in-store promotion ended 2 days before the online coupon. I had made sure to call CVS last week to ask if I could stack coupons (they said yest), order them online (they said yes), and if there was a limit (they said no limit.) But I didn’t ask the expiration date. Today I realized that the promotion ended in store. So today when I called to cancel the books, I explained the situation to the Assistant Manager, Nancy. At first Nancy did not seem like she was going to help, and told me that we could not use BOGO from a manufactore and the store promotion. I told her I had an email from customer service stating we could (THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO LESLIE WHO POSTED HER EMAIL EARLIER, AND THANK GOODNESS i HAVE THE SAME NAME!). Nancy told me if I brought in that email and the Kodak coupons, she would honor the in store coupon even though it was expired and I didn’t actually have it anymore, and the Kodak coupon. I scored 8 photo books for $7.99 tax. Thank you CVS and Nancy. Great customer service!!!
