Would this work at Office Max? They might honor the coupon but I’m not sure how the rebate would work. Any ideas?

  2. Courtney

I got the deal tonight! Used the 40% off coupon and my rebate was printed with the receipt. We definitely needed paper so this is AWESOME!! Thank you so much Collin! I’ve only been following your site for a couple of months, but I’ve already gotten a lot of great deals and have saved a ton of money!! I’ve also got my mom hooked on your site!!

  3. Ashley

I did the deal last night! Office Depot had the paper for $41.99-$20.00 rebate. I used the 40% coupon which took off almost $17. I bought (at full price cause we needed it a cleaner for the computer/tv for $7.99) For both items my total was $35.XX. THEN, I used my $30 free giftcard from that online sign-up. So I paid only $5.XX. NOW, I wait for my $20 rebate to come in!! So really, Office Depot PAID me $15 to go shopping tonight! YAY!

got this last pm, but with taxes mine came to 28.11 so after rebate 8.11. thanks so much!!!

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I got the computer paper and used my $30 GC. It cost about $27 plus change. I also found dividers (5/pack) on clearance for 10 cents and a giant box of sticky notes for $3 and CDs (blank) for $1.88 (25 pack). I bought every thing for about $6! Plus will send off for the free Visa Card. I use these for the online deals that come along periodically.

I couldn’t do the deal at Staples today. They said because it was an internet printable coupon they do not accept it. Plus they refused to do it because of the EasyRebate.

That stinks! I think it’s definitely YMMV at the different stores. I drug my two toddlers over there w/me today (only after visiting Kohls and they are right next door), walked in and asked the Manager right away if she would accept a competitor’s coupon. She said “sure” and I wanted to clarify that it was a 40% off coupon and she smiled and said “no problem”. On my way to find the paper, I asked another employee if she could show me where this particular copy paper was located and she took me right to it. Asked if I needed help getting it up to the register and I thanked her, but said no. Silly me, not realizing how heavy it was, went to pick up a box and dropped it on the floor. Finally got it into the cart. ๐Ÿ™‚ Once at the register, the employee took the coupon without asking any questions and offered to carry the paper out to my car! I had a really pleasant experience from the moment I walked into the door. All of the employees were so helpful and genuinely nice. I am going to send an email letting them know how much I appreciate them and the level of service they gave to me today. I am sorry your experience was not quite as good. I wish all stores would stand behind their store policies and not vary from store to store.

    • Jen

Staples in Benton Harbor, MI, did not accept the 40% off coupon either.

      • Tim

I tried it in Lansing but no luck. It’s weird how some stores seem to have no problem with it, and other have big problems with it.

  7. Kerri

Just left Office Depot and I was able to use the coupon and get the easy rebate form. Mine will come to $7.63 after paying taxes and getting the rebate back for the whole case. Question: Do most people send in the originals or send in a copy? Not sure what is best in these situations. I made copies and I’m thinking of just sending them all the originals to make it easy. If anyone has had problems either way….please share.

Thanks Collin for another great deal! I was really excited to see this since we couldn’t get the amazon paper deal.

  8. tarakate143

I got the deal today! ๐Ÿ™‚ Yay! Thanks so much for all the hard work you do, Collin!

  9. Grace

Two rebates are allowed per household as long as you buy both boxes of paper in the same transaction (same receipt). Thanks!

  10. Donna

I am so excited! Thanks Colin for letting us know about this deal! I don’t know how in the world you find these deals but I SO appreciate it!! I just got back from Staples and they matched the 40% off coupon from Office Depot & I had some Staples rewards from a couple months back so basically I walked out with the paper and didn’t pay a dime & to make the deal sweeter (he he) I get the $27 rebate!!! Thanks so much for all you do!!!

  11. Maggie

Did this deal at the Manteca, CA Staples, although got quite the headache and they are refusing to allow me to buy a second box of paper with another coupon.

Tracy, CA Staples is flat out refusing to honor the coupon with the purchase of the box of Staples paper.

Reason being given is that the paper is subject to an easy rebate and the office depot coupon says cannot be combined with any other offer.

However, that seems bogus to me since the easy rebate is only available for 2 purchases and the Staples that you are standing at really has no way to know whether or not you have already applied for the two rebates, which would make the issue of more than one offer on the product a mute point.

Will definitely be contacting Staples corporate on Monday for clarification, cause this seems bogus to me.

  12. Amber

Did the deal at Murrieta, CA Staples today. The cashier could not figure out how to get the 40% off so she said, “well I’ll take off $10 for you.” I told her that was nice of her, but if I couldn’t get the 40% off I wasn’t going to do the deal. She took out a calculator and figured out the price and somehow punched it in and made it work. Rebate printed out. Thanks for the deal!

  13. Jacqueline D.

I was able to get the paper deal from Amazon by complaining about not honoring the published price so Amazon let me buy it directly from them and they adjusted the price down to the $6.07!! Yay

  14. Kayla K

I went to Staples first, but they wouldn’t take competitor coupons, so I hopped over to Office Depot to get the deal! I used the FREE $30 gift card to pay the $27… and the $20 rebate printed. Very excited to get that back! Thanks for posting this deal! I was flat out of paper, and that’s a problem! ๐Ÿ™‚ I love Hip2Save!

  15. gail mercer

Thanks Collin….got the deal today and the hubs was so impressed he went back and did it too. The rebate states 2 per household and the hubs works from home and uses tons of paper…

    thanks so much

    • Craig

Gail, I think in order to get both rebates, you have to buy them on one recipt somebody stated.

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Wow! My Staples that have taken these OD qโ€™s before would not take it for this deal! WOW, so you do accept competitors qโ€™s but now your saying you dont this time. For all of you using Staples and had similar issues. I HIGHLY suggest you call corpoarte and demand them to get on the ball and get a coupon policy established! Like we did and got! for WGs. The power is w/in the masses!.

What frustrates me the most is these 2 stores have always accepted them before and now decided to refuse it for this deal. This is why CLEARLY corporate needs to have a set policy in place to avoid this 100% of the time! Instead of managers running rouge and making their mind up as they want or feel that day.

Oh the other store said they didnt take online ones. I told both stores weird, cuz you accepted these many times before for other orders I bought. The one manager was real arogant saying that it was ripping off Staples and asked what site I used. I told him nothing. I said, how can this be since you accept these competitors qs (normally and the last many times) and Staples has these rebates?. If stores felt like they were being ripped off, they would NOT accept competitors and NOT do these rebates. FUNNY!, since OD was having a rebate and this coupon. LOL That dude just didntโ€™ like the fact we were getting a good deal. He also said those that use coupons were just ripping off stores. Really? Hunh, the stores and manufactures put the coupons out there not the users. Oh then he also was saying that Staples had the best deal on paper. Weird, since it was OD that had them beat. I told him, well if your going to refuse this, that was fine, I will just take this sale over to OD and get it, which I did w/ no problems there!!!!! Woohooo. The cashier at OD was like, WOW! you just scored that whole case for around $7 with tax! Thats awesome!!!.

Thanks soo much Collin! Scored a great deal on enough paper for a while to satisfy all the printing we do here! lol

  17. Charity

I went to Staples and they told me that I could have either the 40% off or the rebate but not both because the coupon stated not good with other deals. But OD gave me both the 40% and the rebate. So very happy!!!! Thanks

  18. SHuneycutt4

I’m new to couponing, so this is my first BIG victory: There isn’t an Office Depot in my parent’s home town, so my mom asked around and found out that Stales accepts competitor’s coupons. So we compared prices between Staples and Office Depot – because there is one where I live. And we found that Staples offers a $27 rebate, as opposed to OD’s $20 rebate. So, Staples it was!…after using the awesome 40% coupon (that I got from this amazing site!) I paid a grand total – including tax – of $30.16. And after I receive my $27 rebate card, I will have paid a whopping $3.16 for 5,000 sheets of printer paper!! Thanks for hooking my mom and I up with this amazing deal!! I’m not sure what I’ll ever do with this much paper, but it feels great to have gotten such a good deal on it! =]

  19. Denise

I went and got this deal today! Thanks for all you do! You have saved my family so much money with do many of the deals that you post!

  20. AmyH

Holy paper batman! I just went down to our Issaquah, Wa Office Depot and got 2 boxes! They said the rebate will work fine with the 40% off coupon. They let me do 2 sep transactions and it says on the receipt 2 rebates per household. Mine worked out to $8.24 per box because of the tax. What a great deal! Thanks so much Collin!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Came back from Staples not too long ago. Got the paper for $21.52 with tax and the rebate coupon printed for me. So it’s free for me! ๐Ÿ™‚ ($21.52-$27.00 = -$5.48)

  22. Lauren O.

Thank you for posting this deal!!!! I won’t have to buy more paper for a year or more-yay!

  23. Jillian

So frustrating!!! Our Staples would not take the coupon 1 because Staples isn’t considered a competitor and 2 was unable to combine 40% offer with rebate. So frustrating. We really needed the paper for my husbands business!!

  24. Heidi J

I did this deal last night in Orem, Utah and it worked like a charm. I had only about 20 pieces of paper left at home so this was perfect! Thanks Collin.

  25. Judy K

I used my 40% coupon yesterday at the Bridgeton, MO Office Depot. Once I receive my rebate, 5000 pieces of paper will cost me a whomping $7.35! Thanks Colin! You’re the best ๐Ÿ™‚

  26. Megan

I LOST my slip that had the rebate form !!!!! Can ANYONE send me the rebate address and what information I needed to send? Or better a 1-800 number maybe for the gift card? I am so upset :*(

  27. Megan

If ANYONE has not sent there form off yet could you please let me know what the address is for the rebate! thanks..i called office depot and there is nothing they can do.
