Rite Aid Resolution Program:
Each time that you use your wellness+ card from now through January 22nd, you will be automatically entered to win one of 775 prizes to help you be healthier and more active in 2011. Prizes include: Polaris All-Terrain mountain bikes; Nintendo Wii game consoles, complete with Wii Fit and a balance board; Life Fitness ellipticals or treadmills; Apple iPod Touch and $50 iTunes gift card packages; Rite Aid gift cards; and the grand prize, a 4-day/3-night trip for two to the Canyon Ranch in Tucson, Arizona. Click here for more details.

Video Values Update:
This month’s selection of Video Values includes a special new Beauty Bonus that is different than what you’ve seen in the past. The Beauty Bonus is $4 off your purchase of $20 or more. In order to get the Beauty Bonus, you will need to watch all of the videos in the special beauty section, which will combine for this high-value offer. There will not be individual coupon offers for each video for this section only.

$5/$25 Total Purchase Coupon Update from Rite Aid:
All legitimate $5 off $25 coupons will be honored at Rite Aid up until the expiration date as marked. Due to some internal changes, they may not scan correctly for a few days, but instructions have been given to stores that these legitimate coupons should be accepted. Please note that they are, as always, limited to one coupon per customer, so multiple versions of the same coupon cannot be accepted. Questions and concerns about coupon acceptance at Rite Aid stores should continue to be directed to our customer service team, who can be contacted by visiting our secure chat service accessible at www.riteaid.com or by calling by calling 1-800-RITEAID (1-800-748-3243).

Through January 22nd, get a $20 +Up Reward when you buy $100 of select items. The list of eligible items can be found in the January 2011 Rebate Directory. Look for the starred items in this post. For the very latest Rite Aid coupon policy, please go here. I would encourage you to print a copy to take with you to the store.

Does anyone know if the Tom’s of Maine deal will print multiple +Up rewards? It’s the only deodorant my husband will use, and I want to stock up. It’s a great price point as is, but obviously the +Up rewards make it an exceptional deal!

It did for me. I bought 2 in the same transaction and they printed.

    • Racquel

Yes . I bought 2 Mouthwash, 1 deodarant and 2 toothpaste and I got back 5 $3 UP rewards so it seems you can buy as many as you want.

  3. Drew

The cashier wouldn’t let me use two $1 Halls coupons for two packages, just one of them plus the $0.50 Video Values coupon.

The Clearasil pads were $5.79 at my store; it’s still a good deal.

  4. JOHN

i just got back from my toliet paper adventure.a couple of things to note.1) there were no limits on rewards(ionly did 10 at a time).2)I have a 20% discount and the paper got discounted to .80(better than free).3)there is a mystery $3 ups that goes with the paper deals when you buy 10 items(this was only triggered when i purchsed the facial tissue-not the toliet paper)4) the hormel chilli offer did print 5 $1 ups when I bought 4

    • Derrell D.

JOHN, You brought 10 facial tissue or one of the 10 items was a facial tissue item?

      • JOHN

        I did 10 tissues.I would have tried half and half,but I wasn’t thinking.

    • kim

Thanks, good to know. I bought 12 TP and 8 tissue this morning and didn’t get the extra $3, which was no big deal. Was planning on going to another RA for more tissue (as not to clear the shelves) I’ll have to get 10 this time.

      • heather

I did half tp and half tissue and it didn’t produce the $3 up. Just the 10 individual ones.

        • MELISSA M

The +$3 Up worked only on the facial tissue. Be sure to get the 65 count box. πŸ™‚ Love making money when I shop.

          • Renee H

My RiteAid limits how much we can buy to prevent shelf clearing- they limited the tp,tissue deal to 4- so we can never get the $3 extra.

      • Cherie Roche

Kim, thanks for not clearing the shelves. I was at Rite Aid this morning when they opened, and while I was looking for the tissues a woman had cleared the shelves. No big deal, there’s another store five minutes away. So I went there and there she was clearing the shelves again. Annoying.

  5. Lyndsey

The negative comments are kind of funny, (rude of course) funny because I just read a post by Tracie at pennypinchinmom about all this!

    • christen

i think they are usually funny too. i always picture some nasty little person, hunched over their keyboard, pounding away on the keys, all worked up and sweaty over some deal they don’t approve of! lol

      • Tilla Ham

lol i think funny too except i always picture some 90 pound housewive who has everything her little heart desires but she’s so completely bored she has to find herself some entertainment by making herself look like an a** online

  6. sussie

Did anyone see the TLC couponing show last night? It was so interesting. One guy purchased a total of over $5,000 worth of stufss and paid only $200. He also purchased a truck load of Total cereals for free and donated them to the food bank. Just amazing what they can do with coupons.

    • Shelley

He donated a lot more then cereal, the show didn’t mention or show that…

  7. Collin

    Hi Guys!

I just wanted to take the time to leave a comment to all readers in general. This morning, I woke up to a slew of negative comments under this post. Besides the fact that many of these comments were upsetting to me (and to many other readers), these comments also contained false information. Please note that I spend upwards of 10 hours+ per week working on each store deal…that’s 30 hours per week alone working on compiling the deals for CVS, Rite Aid, and Walgreens. It is not necessarily fun to write the store deals (in fact, I typically dread this task every week), but I do it each week because I know it is appreciated by all the readers here. If something about the weekly deals is upsetting to you, you can always email me directly. Thanks!

    • Barbie

      Collin-
I was there was a way to filter all the negative comments. I truly think its just some trolls with nothing better to do. I greatly appreciate everything you do! You have saved my family so much money & I really do appreciate all your hard work! This is BY FAR my favorite site! We love you!!

      • Collin

        Hi Barbie!

I try my best to delete comments that are inappropriate or negative but I have never wanted to screen all the comments before they post because I feel that takes away from the blog. If I am out and about without access to a computer, I want all of you to be able to leave comments and help each other out.

        • Ellie

Thank you Colin for all you do. You are truly appreciated. Some people just need to grow up.

        • Barbie

oh i completely understand. I love that we can all comment & help one another out. it just stinks some trolls have to ruin things. I really hope you know how appreciated you are, and please never let those negative comments directly affect you! thanks so much for everything!

        • Stacy

Thank you Collin. I really do appreciate everything you do. I read some of the first comments that were posted yesterday and it took alot of restraint not to lash out. I just had to keep repeating to myself not to “feed the trolls”, if nobody feeds them they will eventually look elsewhere.

        • shan

I didn’t see what happened but how unfortunate!. Dont let them get to you Collin! (or fellow readers!!) You do an amazing job each week that helps my family & so many others, more than you know! You are my go-to site for the best & most current deals out there and I equally appreciate the updates & info on the ones that have fallen through etc. I cant imagine how difficult & time consuming it is to compile the weekly deals for each store, (the most important deals each week for all of us Im sure) but we SO appreciate it! Your weekly store deals are the only ones my friends & family use! They are so easy to read, understand, navigate & are the most complete I have seen. Other “lists” out there make my head spin lol. The deals have helped keep us afloat, (especially after 2 layoffs in one year & many other financial difficulties that sooo many of us are going through) and have also given us the opportunity to better help charities & our community with savings & MANY donations! I appreciate that you put in all the work for us to be able to use. You are a gift!

        • Racquel

To Collin and all my fellow couponers
First, thank you Collin for all you do; it is greatly appreciated. I love this site and I have been a loyal HIPTOSAVER for about 3 years now. It’s the only blog I really follow because as a mom of three small children, I just don’t have any more extra time so I can fully understand the enormity of having a blog, a family and a life.
We live in a country where we have access to coupons, sale, deals, etc. And we should be grateful for these simple things that we may sometimes take for granted. There are so many more important issues in this world that we could be fighting for or about and us fighting amongst each other about coupons is not one of them. Please we have enough to deal with when we go to the stores as it is with unfriendly cashiers, unhelpful managers etc. Do we really need to add more stress to ourselves. Most of us have our health, our jobs and our families. Let us just continue to be grateful for all we have because we can shop with coupons and save money. But please let us also learn to respect each other and understand that we may all have different opinions and actions but we don’t have to put each other down to get a point across. Negativity just brings about more negativity. If you don’t want to follow this site, you have a choice not to. But honestly there is no need for hurtful remarks especially for Collin who does all of this work for us to be able to grab these deals.
Keep up the good work Collin. And my fellow couponers and HIPTOSAVERS, keep on shopping with your heads held high and remember A COUPON A DAY KEEPS A BIG BILL AWAY. (I just made that up to make everyone smile). Hope it worked.

    • Morgan

Hi Collin! Please don’t let those people upset you. I and other readers really appreciate all the deals you provide for us. Thank you!

    • christen

ugh, people are just negative in general. not happy unless they are complaining or giving someone else a hard time. i didn’t see any of the negative comments on this post, but they seem to be getting worse all the time. probably just some jealous other blogger that has a fraction of the readers Collin has. Blogger envy! lol

    • Heather

I would bet that for every negative comment that you do receive there are 100 of us or more that don’t leave a positive comment. My family and I truly appreciate what you do. I like to read through the comments to see if any deals have been added and worthless (maybe that’s not the appropriate work that I’m looking for, but it’s the only one I can think of right now) comments normally clog it up. There are so many of us that appreciate what you do. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I don’t know why people feel the need to comment negatively…I know I’ve tried to do my own price match ups and I ALWAYS miss stuff…and it takes FOREVER…so for you to continue doing it week after week is MUCH appreciated. Thanks for all you do!!!!!

    • kim

I’m sorry people are leaving negative comments and are upsetting you. That is so uncalled for and people need to grow up! I just want to thank you for all of your match ups! I love them and tell everyone about your site. THANK YOU!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I got into couponing to help my daughter and her husband make ends meet thinking I could save them a couple of buck. Thanks to your site and all of your hard work I am saving not just them but myself and other family members hundreds of dollars a month I can’t say loudly enough WE LOVE YOU COLLIN!!!!!!

    • leslie

Thank you so much for doing this for us Collin! I have so much fun making my lists from your blog, you do an awesome job! Don’t let any “negative nelly’s” get you down, because you don’t deserve it! I ran into some fellow couponers at RA (whom I didn’t know), and we found out we both use Hip2Save! How neat πŸ™‚ Anyway, THANKS SOOO MUCH AGAIN!!!

      • Stacy

Me too! I’m in western NY and while in Rite Aid noticed that the contents of my shopping cart were identical to the woman’s next to me. When I commented about it she started raving about this awesome site called, Hip2save. I about died, I told her it was the same site I used. What are the chances in my little town.

    • Jodi

I just hopped into messages to post that the $3 toilet paper mystery UP wasn’t working in PA and then I saw this message from you. I cannot believe that somebody would be hurtful or post rude things to you! You are amazing and help us all save so much money! I am amazed at all I scored at RA today for $3! I couldn’t save like that without you. I am sure you spend A LOT of time preparing all this for us too! I spend about 1 – 2 hours every weekend preparing for my visit to Rite Aid and Target and that is with TONS of help from you. I wouldn’t even know where to begin if it wasn’t for you! Your website reaches so many people and you ARE very appreciated. If someone is unhappy with something they should not visit your wonderful site! Thanks again for all you do! You are very appreciated by many fans in Carlisle, Pennsylvania!

    • Jaclyn

Collin- The negative comments always make me mad. I think about how much time you sacrifice so help all of us save when you have a husband & 3 kids. Some people are so ungrateful! There are no words to describe how thankful or how addicted I am to your website! I truely appreciate the time you take to do each & every post whether it is a deal I want to do or skip over. Your site is by FAR the easiest to read not to mention the FUNNEST! Thank you so, so very much!!! πŸ˜‰

    • MELISSA M

I read most of the comments posted last night and just felt bad those people and especially for you Collin. I know that this is your weekend and you probably want to spend as much time as you can with your family. I figured you would delete comments if you felt it necessary. I have been couponing for about 6 months now and love it and love reading other people’s comments. I feel bad for people who are new to the game and might have gotten a bad taste from people being silly. Keep up the awesome work. I have a small business and each year my skin gets a little thicker and I take things less personally each time. I can tell you put A LOT of time into this blog and I hope you make a lot of money doing it!!!! I think people should be rewarded for their hard work. Thus, I don’t feel bad when I get as many deals shopping as I can if I put in the hard work of preparing, cutting, clipping, reading and then the dreaded getting up on little sleep to get the deals at the store. All of this with an infant. But it’s worth it to me and my family. Again, awesome job. Thanks a million Up rewards πŸ™‚ for what you do.

    • Christa K.

I think I would dread putting together the weekly deals too – definitely more ‘work’ involved vs. posting a spontaneous freebie that pops up during the week!! But please know the enormous work you put into the deals is very very appreciated. A friend pointed me to your site 6-8 months ago and since then, I’ve pointed my mom & at least 3 other friends to the site. All of us use it religiously and you’ve been saving many families a ton of money & time by laying these deals out in such a detailed, user friendly way. Thanks a million!

    • Colleen

      Collin
I cant believe you can maintain this website all by yourself! It takes work just making my lists and finding the coupons after you’ve provided all the real work. I really enjoy this site and try to pass along what I learn. It is especially fun when you can help some unsuspecting person in the store to get a great deal! Are you sure you dont have a staff of little elves helping you do all the posting?
      thank you
      I am addicted to hip!

    • carmel

You are doing a great job Collin and because of your site, I have saved a LOT of money on a one income household!!! Those of us who appreciates ur posts far outnumber those bitter people out there. Pls keep on helping people.

    • Tami

Collin, I know there are negative comments at times, but it seems like the majority of the people that post on here are fairly positive, up-beat people. πŸ™‚ That’s why I actually read the comments quite a bit…if they were too negative I wouldn’t want to. I appreciate others giving pointers and answering questions. And I know we ALL appreciate you because you work so hard to give us the heads-up on deals. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

    • Christa D

Thanks again Collin for all you do. Although you may dread compiling the list, I really look forward to it each week. It’s tremendously helpful to me. And if a deal doesn’t go as well as expected I just chalk it up to the couponing experience since sometimes things go even better than expected. If figure it’s a wash between the two.

  8. JulieF

I agree, negative comments shouldn’t be posted here; complain to your friends instead!!!! I love this site and all that Collin does πŸ™‚

    • Marcia

I love your web-site and check it almost every day. I don’t usually read the posts, I’m too busy. But wanted to let you know how much I appreciate this site and what you do!!

  9. Colleen

Just got back from Rite Aid – the TGIF snacks and Hormel Chili are still printing UP’s, along with the kleenex and toilet paper. I’m in Michigan.

    • Joy

Colleen, are you saying you got the extra $3 UP on the paper products? I am in MI too and I did not get those when buying in groups of 10, just the $1 UP’s. I am also wondering if anyone has ever been told that you can’t do more than one transaction? I did my order in 2 transactions and another employee came at the end and said to the cashier that she should not have let me do that. She said that was their policy but I can’t find anything in the coupon policy that talks about it. I have done more than one transaction several times at that store in the past.

      • Colleen

My store didn’t have enough for me to try for the extra $3, so I’m not sure. The stores I’ve been to have always let me do more than one transaction though.

      • Kristen

Joy, I am in Michigan. I got the extra $3 +UP reward for buying 10 facial tissues. I did not get the extra +UPs for toilet paper.

      • Jaclyn

My stores ALWAYS let me do multiple transactions, including the manager. I would take out the store/coupon policy & say…..”can you show me where it says that”? I had a cashier tell me last week that I was only allowed 2 coupons if there was a line! Ah- I think NOT!

        • Kayla

While that’s not necessarily true, keep in mind most Rite Aid’s are understaffed and it does get frustrating for us cashiers to take the evil eye from the people behind you in line. πŸ˜›

          • kathleen

The rite aid I go to knows me by name. I almost always am doing 2 or 3 transactions depending on the sales. I always volunteer after I finish a transaction to stand aside if anyone is behind me until the line is finished then proceed with the next transaction. I do this for each transaction so that noone waits behind me for more than 1 transaction. i would hate to be stuck behind someone else if I only had a few things and try to never do that to anyone else. Usually though when one of the managers see’s me in the store they tell me just to grab them when i am ready and they ring me up on another register so as not to take up the line. The one manager especially loves to see the deals i get, and I try to give her any extra printable manufactorer coupons I don’t need because she doesn’t have a computer and having a happy manager willing to work with me is worth a few coupons to help her get some deals πŸ™‚

            • Craig

Thats very nice of you!. I always allow others to go in front of me too since I know I will be longer than them! When I was at CVS today, this customer was like no, no thats ok you can go first and I was like, no trust me, you’ll want to go first. LOL

Got some of these great deals from RA and CVS thanks to all the hard work Collin and the rest of the supportive followers do here!. We try to help when we can! πŸ˜‰

  10. Kerri

Just got back from Rite Aid. The UP that prints wyb 10 facial tissues is NOT a mystery reward. My store had signs everywhere…Buy $10.00 worth get $3.00 Up Reward. So for the person who called corporate, don’t you feel silly??

    • Tilla Ham

people don’t understand that some products have a weekly deal running and a monthly deal running at the same time. there is no such thing as a mystery up, just an overlapping deal

    • Anon

I don’t feel silly at all! I too saw the signs. The only reason I called was to see if the deal was for all tissues. My store today had the tags -but every single one of them said that the buy $10 get $3 was ONLY for the larger count tissues, not the smaller box. They were going to get back to me on that. I assume it is a mistake since no tags included the 65 count. But they may or may not pull the deal. They might leave it as they do often.

  11. savysaver

No extra UPs on RA tp and facial tissues in Lex. KY…but still got them all free.

  12. Kathi Long Deese

Went to RA, and as usual there was 1 person who cleaned the store out. Thanks for sharing:( My store only gets a truck every 2 weeks. I called another store nearby our town, and it sounds like the same person cleaned them out as well πŸ™
Such is life I guess….On a happier note, I found all the “Christmas gifts” were 90% off so I scored $200 worth of gifts for $20!!!
    Have a great day everyone!!!

    • Susan

I scored on 90% off Christmas gifts at RA today too. SOOOOO exciting. I wanted to clean RA out of the TP but didn’t I left some for others :). (DH being out of work I have to do what I can to make sure we can wipe our butts.) Collin thanks so much you have helped us keep our head above water. I can’t thank you enough for all the work you do.

      • Brenda

        Susan,
I realize that your DH being out of work is not funny, but I laughed so loud when I read your “…do what I can to make sure we can wipe our butts” that my sleeping cat fell off the top of my monitior! Hehe! Thanks!

    • Ashley

I scored on 90% off Christmas items as well! I used ornament hangers for .09 cent fillers!

  13. Jessica

Has anyone been this morning to get the Tom’s deal…I don’t see it advertised in the circular.

    • melissa

ugg, its not in my add either! Oh well, guess I’ll get it CVS instead.

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

FYI…I went to Rite Aid this morning and the Vick’s Sinex was NOT part of the P&G deal…or if it was it definitely wasn’t 4.97. It was 7.94. I had my cashier double check the price just in case it wasn’t labled correctly, but nope it was 7.94. I did not buy it so I can not confirm that it was or wasn’t part of the P&G deal…just that the price wasn’t as low as I wanted. That is in WV. Hope others have better luck!!

    • momwhocares

It worked here in Idaho – it was in the ad too and rang up $4.97 – everything worked except the TP deal did not print the mystery up rewards, no biggy πŸ™‚ –

      • LindsW

Hello! I think you’re one of the gals in North Idaho. Mystery UP (but advertised) didn’t print for me either, but I called, and she confirmed it was a legitimate UP and issued me the $3 UP replacement! Just an FYI!!!

    • Trish

I got the sinex for $4.97 at my store. There was a differnt kind for the higher price, but I looked around and found the other, they are like in a dayquil liquid gels type of packaging. I did the deal and got the $10 back no problems!

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

hmm well now I’m just annoyed that my store didn’t have the right kind!!!!

      • Racquel

        Trish,
Did your $4 coupon beeped at all?

        • Trish

No, none of the three coupons I used beeped at all! πŸ™‚

  15. michelle

i tried to do the deal with the vicks sinex today too and my cashier scanned all of the different sizes for me and NONE of them rang up $4.97 here!

  16. Tisha in SC

I went to RA this morning and did the tp deal. I bought 10 but no xtra ups printed but that was ok. I forgot about the TGIF deal but no biggie. Collin, thank you for all the time/sweat/time away from your family that you put into this site to help others. My family and I really appreciate it so please continue.

  17. Nikki

I got to my rite aid in nj right as they opened and they had no stock of the 4 pack tp. They had plenty of the individual rolls n facial tissue. When I bought 10 facial tissue I got the additional $3 +up but didn’t get it when I bought 10 tp.

  18. Gina

Thanks for all your hard work, Collin! I really appreciate it. πŸ™‚

  19. Pam

Collin If it wasnt for you none of us that follow the store deals you post with the links to the coupons would save as much monay Kuddos to you and much Love for all your time spent on this site! Your’e a True Blessing! Thanks Again Pam from Indian River, Michigan!

  20. kathy b

We truly appreciate all the effort you put in for us. I don’t think you should have to put up with the rude people at there. If they are not happy with all the work you do they should go somewhere else for their deals. Personally I come straight to you for all the deals. If the deals don’t work in this area than that is a disappointment, but that is the way it rolls. THANK YOU so much for all your help and hope you keep it up.

  21. julie

Thanks Collin for all you do!! Your site is the best for matchups. You make it so easy to figure out what’s a great deal with the red letters. You’re the best πŸ™‚ You’ve made it possible for me to be a sahm to my three kids.

  22. Lesli

Please give feedback. I went to RA this morning to get the tissue deal. At first I purchased the wrong size facial tissue and when no UPs printed I had to return them. The manager had to come over and given approval code for each and every of the 10 facial tissue boxes returned. Then I got 10 of the correct tissue count and got 10 x 1 UPs and 3 UP and finally got my 20 UP Resolutions. The manager said that this is a new return policy. Has anyone else experienced this. I used to think returning at RA was super easy and they are always friendly in my town. But not when my UPs do not print its a hassle to fix the problem. Thanks

    • Kayla

It’s not new at all. If you return something on the same day you bought it, the manager must give approval for every item. If the returned item goes over a certain amount, the manager must approve. The manager has to approve every return, mostly. It really has no rhyme or reason to it. I’ve had to get approval for a $10 return, but no approval for a $40 return. I do know, for a fact, that if you return it on the same day… approval is necessary, though.

    • kathleen

I was told when returning something on the same day the system can not automatically read the receipt. Just like when you put your reciept in the computer for the rebates the same day it takes a few days to appear but if you wait a few days it is instant. when the store’s close out at the end of the day the info takes a little to process. the same thing happens at target, but worse. If you go to return an item the same day they have to enter the entire code manually, but if you wait till the next day it’s no problem.

  23. LaToya

In Idaho….the TP deal is alive and well. The additional $3 Up is on the facial tissue and NOT on the toilet papers.

  24. judy

I went to Rite Aid this a.m. to pick up my specials as I do every Sunday. This morning it took me 10 minutes to shop and over 30 minutes to try and get things adjusted because unknowingly my rewards card did not scan (for some reason they did not kno this either). Anyway, I was going by the format that you set up and referred back to it at the store. I was told the web sites aren’t ever right … not true by any means because I always find them to be 99.9% accurate. So my question is: Do you set these formats up soley by youself, other bloggers, and the ads or does Rite Aid help by suggesting the sales, coupons, and video coupons. Thank you for your time. And yes …. I LOVE YOUR SITE AND THANKS FOR SAVING ME LOTS AND LOTS OF MONEY.

    • Collin

      Hi Judy!

I create the weekly deals from scratch by going through the weekly ad scan and matching up the deals with coupons. Rite Aid does not provide any assistance. Thanks!

      • mykingarooroo

Loveeeeee this site!!! Thanks Collin for all the hard work you put into it. I know I wouldn’t be able to do it!!!!

  25. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

No extra $3 +up for buying tp here in bay area (northern california).

    • Jo-Ann

I’m in Northern California, too. The tag under the facial tissue is the only one noting the $3 UP when you buy $10 worth. After seeing that tag, I purchased only the facial tissue and received the extra $3 UP. Hope that helps!

  26. Trish

Collin! Thanks for all your hard work! This family appreciates it! I got all the deals today no problems! Just let the negativity roll of your back. People are just jealous!

  27. Liz

Got the TP deal this morning. Got 10 Ups, but no mystery ups. I used Ups from the Special K deal last week. I also bought Clearasil – Only .49 after the coupons and Up reward!

I plan on going back this week one day to get 10 more TP for free!

Thanks Collin! Your site rocks. I took my mom with me – she was in town visiting. She didn’t understand the Up rewards, but she does now. She is heading to her Rite Aid when she gets home to get free tp too! Thanks for all you do!

    • Anon

I don’t know why people are calling this a ‘mystery’ ups. My store had tags up. The Buy $10.00 get 3.00 ups tags were on the larger count ra tissues that are on sale for $1.99. They weren’t up on the $1.00 ones so that is more than likely a mistake, not a mystery. It will probably get fixed at some point – unless RA is completely aware of it and fine with it.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The mystery ups are only on the facial tissue when you buy $10 worth you get an extra $3 +up. It does not work on the toilet paper. There was a sign up at my Rite Aid this morning on the facial tissue.

I know what the ups is on, my point is that it isn’t a ‘mystery’. There are tags up for it.

        • Colleen

Not every store posts signs with the mystery ups. I only learn about them from reading peoples comments or from Collin. Please keep on posting info when there are mystery ups.

          • Kayla

I would bet the signage is there.

If there’s a weekly deal on something, a rebate, & a monthly deal… there will be three signs stacked on top of each other. Rebate on bottom, then monthly deal, then weekly. Most people don’t realize there’s more than one tag there.

            • Tiffany

Not to create any drama but the signs are not always there. At my local Rite Aid, I always have to scan everything as they don’t put signs up anywhere. If this site says toothpaste is on sale for $1.99, my store has the regular price tag up for $3.99 and when I get to the counter I have to double check all prices. Not all of the stores have enough staff to put up all the signs every week. Just my 2 cents.

It did the TP deal this morning. Thanks! I didn’t get the extra $3 UP, but you can’t beat free TP.

  29. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

you can use the tp rewards to buy tp and it will produce rewards right?

    • Hannah

yes, you can roll UP Rewards at Rite Aid
      HTH

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        woot woot thank you!! πŸ™‚

  30. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

i know wags you cant the big meanies

  31. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

bought 12 rolls of tp no mystery reward either im in mass

  32. Mel

It was a TP and tissue frenzy! Major shelf clearing going on today, but I was still able to score some for myself. I only got two of the toilet paper 4-packs but the 10 facial tissue deal worked and printed the bonus $3. My store had the sign stating the deal and it is only for the facial tissue and I think it runs through 1/22/11.

  33. Mel

Oh! And THANK you Collin for all you do!

  34. Jennifer K

Went in to Rite Aid after church and, not surprisingly, not a roll of free TP, paper towels, or facial tissues on the shelves. I did score some free TGIF potato skins, though. The hubster thought he died and went to snack heaven.

And, not to be a kiss up or anything, but Collin – you’re awesome! You’ve mentioned before how long it takes for you to come up with the deals each week and I can’t thank you enough for it! I visit several couponing blogs and yours is my favorite for Rite Aid deals each week because of the way you format your posts, your print feature, and how often you update with changes and such. Thanks so much for your hard work! I would hate for a few bad apples to make you think that the work for do for this site is unappreciated because it is SOOOOO appreciated by so many of us, including myself and my potato-skin munching husband and son!

  35. Ellie

Just went to my Rite Aid in VA and was able to get 10 tissues and 3 Potat Skins. Used Ups from last week so only paid tax and got back $16 Ups. There was no tp left. Manager said “my weekly crazy coupon lady bought all 50 packs and single rolls I had plus all the tissues and TGIFridays items I had put out for opening but I’ve learned to hold some back for other people”. People like her make all of us normal people trying to make ends meet look bad.

    • Kayla

Reading all these comments about shelf clearing baffles me. We have 2 or 3 people who regularly use coupons and they certainly don’t come in every week. I can only remember someone clearing a shelf once and it really pissed us off because we asked her nicely to leave some for other people (she had a rain check and we had written at least 6 other rain checks for other people for the same product) and she took every last pack of toilet paper on the shelf. People are mean sometimes. Who needs that much toilet paper?! Lol.

  36. kim

    you’re amazing collin. enough said!

  37. SaraJC

Awesome deal! I was able to score some toilet paper, TGIF chips, and Sundown vitamins for free! + the toys are on clearance for like 90% off! =D
    Thanks for the post Hip2Save!

  38. JustMe

Does anyone else’s store restrict the $4 off $20 to beauty items? There was a photocopy of the coupon at the register with a note for cashiers to only honor it for beauty items. I could only buy 2 Hormel Chili (low stock) but the unadvertisted $1 +UP did not print for that. $1 +UP printed for the facial and bath tissue–stock person complained to another customer about how many one person bought and said he would have to put a limit on them. Betty Crocker Gingerbread Cake & Cookie Mix was on the clearance rack for .57 but rang up for .24. Christmas wrapping paper was marked 75% off but rang up at 90% off.

  39. Suzy

Thanks so much for all you do Collin! I have been couponing for over 3 years now and your site is my absolute favorite! I always wait for you to post the Rite Aid deals because you provide so many more than other sites!! Thanks for spending so much of your time doing these weekly match ups, it makes my life so much easier! I went to Rite Aid this morning and was able to get some free vitamins, snacks, tp, and tissues…gotta love free!

  40. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Christmas stuff is 90% off

  41. fairy dust

I was lucky (in a way), my RA didn’t have a lot of stuff shelf tagged yet, so all the TGIF and other snacks were still showing a shelf price of $2.19. They rang up at 97-cents and each gave $1Up back, but it was like I was the only person who knew πŸ™‚ I got only 4 but thought long and hard about going back and getting a whole mess more before word gets out. Rolled a couple of the TGIF snack Ups back into a purchase DH just had to have that RA just happened to have on sale. Love getting items we need cheaply and stuff for free! Thanks, Collin!!!

  42. cynthia

Hello everyone…my rite aid put a limit of 5 toilet papper , tissure , etc per person per day! Ugggh I just started last week doing rite aid and this limit thing stinks! So also i bought 10 boxes of lays stax chips…and no rewards printed….so there you go …but will keep trying next week to get a wooohoooo of a deal! πŸ˜‰ thanks to Collin for allllllll of your hard work!!!!

    • Renee H

I bought the Burger King chips and the Combos and no UPS! They rang up for .99- did I buy the wrong ones??

      • melly

i belive its only the TGIF ones

    • Christa K.

Seems the snacks are hit or miss. I had hoped from others’ comments that the 99 cent snacks were ALL printing +ups. However at my store the TGIF were all cleaned out by this afternoon, and I tried buying a Burger King, a Combos & a Lays Stax – each in a seperate order to see if they’d print a +up. They didn’t, so I stopped there instead of getting a bunch more.

      • JustMe

I did the same. Had 4 Lays in my cart, but checked out one first and no +UP so didn’t buy the rest. Still a good deal, just not great.

        • Craig

Im not sure why some followers thought other snacks were giving Up rewards. If you read the deals, its on the TGIF snacks. No mention about other snacks. HTH

  43. corynne

I got the TP deal this morning plus went to Target & had both places virtually to myself! Streets are empty, stores are empty, everybody was busy watching the Seahawks! Lucky me, I get the deals to myself today!

  44. Ruth

Do you need to use the wellness card to get the discounts or the Up rewards?

    • melissa

      yes.

  45. Brook G

Collin, thank you for all your hard work. I check this sites several times a day to stay up on the “deals:. I was lucky and got the last 4 packages of TP at my local RA & used my UP rewards along with the $5 off Nature Made coupon(which are BOGO) to score 2 bottles of vitamins for $1.15 w/tax. So again, thank you for all your hard work!!!
