Each event is sponsored by a leading brand (such as Kraft) and focuses on something cool that the sponsor wants its best fans to experience firsthand and share with their friends. Basically a House party let you share the products you like with all your friends, free of charge! Companies love to promote these type of events because it spreads the word about their products.

I absolutely LOVE House Party! I’ve been chosen for several: Star Wars party, Arnold Sandwich Thins and Dance Party. I received notification yesterday that I was chosen for the Artisan Flatbread party….I highly recommend signing up! When it comes to that…”what would you do to make your party special” section, really take your time and think about it. I can’t say for sure, but many of the times I’ve been picked I’ve really provided a detailed answer to that question…
I can’t agree more, Barbara. I have been chosen for three parties now and I always give really detailed responses on that portion of the application. Each party has a theme and I think it’s important to talk about how you will tie your party in with it.
I have never been chosen for a House Party before, but I was chosen recetly to host the Artisan Oven Flatbread party. I can’t wait to see what I get to share with my friends! The party date is 2-26, so I should get the items soon.
Seems like the same people get chosen over and over again. Their customer service is horrible, so I haven’t been too happy with them at all.
I keep applying for every party though. I never saw the Verizon one. 🙁
i had to apply for about 12-15 before i got choosen.
I have applied to about 10 different ones and I was just chosen to host my first one for Coffee-Mate. Which I believe is completely separate from the House parties I do believe.

I got chosen to host the Art Attack Coffee Mate party, was super pumped when I saw the huge box of goods arrive… a really nice art kit, drawing and painting paper, acrylic paints and tons of instant coffee and creamer samples. Super excited for the free creamer coupons valued up to $3.99!
I was choosen for the Coffee Mate party also but I only got 1 coupon for free creamer and I have invited 16 people over. I choose the Bristo party pack. How many did you tell them you were going to host? I was thinking free party sounds great but how can this be a free party if I have to purchase the coffee mate in different flavors for my guest? Then make some snacks to go with it.

You might try contacting Coffee Mate on Facebook. Some people were missing coupons from their party packs and Coffee Mate rectified the situation.

I was chosen for the Durex party too and I’m super excited for it (as are my friends!) I was also chosen for the COffee Mate party but didn’t get the e-mail in time to respond because I was on vacation. Oh well!
I was chosen for the Coffee Mate house party & am excitedly awaiting my Bistro Baking Kit! Should arrive today or tomorrow 🙂 I also just got an email asking me to be one of their “Featured” parties! They are going to send a professional photographer to our event & give me a $50 visa g/c! I’m SO excited! Such a fun way to be able to host a free event for your friends and get lots of fun stuff! It was way more than I expected.

I got the Coffee-Mate Art Party!! Got my kit yesterday. Didnt know you could sign up for a “Featured” party. I was VERY pleased with the kit and 17 coupons for free Coffee-mate (up to $3.99 value so the large ones!!!) I also got chosen for the Folgers/Land o Lakes House Party and Athenos Greek Yogert House Party 🙂

Love love love House Party! I’ve been chosen to host several – DiGiorno, Febreeze, Sandwich Thins, toilet paper/paper towels. It’s a great program, but it does take a long time to get chosen sometimes. Hang in there – it’s totally worth it! My fingers are crossed for Johnsonville and the Philadelphia Cooking Creme parties…..

there is no sure fire way to say how to get picked. its all on how you answer the questions and where you live.
I hosted the Ball Canning Party in June and got a ton of great stuff…including a huge stock pot! I am hosting a TruMoo party in February…so excited to see what I get for this one!

BTW- the CoffeeMate party is not from House Party, I think that one is direct from Coffee Mate….I got that one, too….I’m doing the Game Night Party. Can’t wait!

I agree. I have signed up for 10 or 15 and still have not been chosen. We don’t have children but we always have a house full of friends and their children on weekends. Maybe one day…

I hosted a Playstation Move New Years Eve Party.They sent us the Playstation eye, 2 move controllers, 2 microphones, several games, napkins, coupons for free Coke, napkins, party hats, noise makers, and things that light up and flash. It was awesome!
I have hosted Boboli, Star Wars, and Durex parties. They were a lot of fun and House Party has been very generous with the party packs. I am really hoping to be chosen for the Pull-ups party since we’ve just started potty training our 22 month old!
So far, I have been chosen for the Gerber Generation House Party and they sent a ton of supplies (92lbs worth). It was great, because I knew a ton of momma’s and their little ones enjoyed the time. I just recently got chosen to host the Durex one for this upcoming weekend. I can’t wait, because it will be a time for just the women!
92 pounds?????? Really? WOW! The package a got for the paper towel/toilet paper party was like 40 pounds, I thought that was impressive!
I’ve been doing HP for gosh I guess it’s been about 4 yrs now.
It’s harder and harder to get a party anymore.
I was lucky enough to get the Just Dance 2 HP back in November, and WOW What a blast that was!!! I ended up having 2 parties…one for adults and one for the teens…was way too much fun…then I won a flip cam on the Facebook page for Just Dance.
But some parties are very hard to get…not sure if it’s my age or if it’s just because so many people are applying for very few spots.
I really really really wanted the Margaritaville HP last Summer…but didn’t get it.
So far this year I have been denied every single party I have applied for…Freschetta, Artisan Breads, and so on. But…ya gotta keep applying if you want a party that bad.
It’s true, I’ve been doing it for just over 2 years, and I was chosen MUCH more at the beginning of that time than now. I’ve not been chosen for one since last September’s Star Wars, BUT I also haven’t applied to as many because they haven’t had any I’ve been interested in. TONS of folks know about it now, and there’s probably like 50,000+ for most of the “good” parties, so we are lucky to get one now!

I’ve gotten an Alexia, Capri Sun, Jolee and the Tru Moo parites. I must have applied to 20+. I love House Parties! I think it’s all in how you fill out your application, location and a bit of luck. My sister was doing a bathroom makeover and mentioned it as part of what she would do in her party and got a Quilted Northern party. It was a blast! Good luck!
I have signed up for several House Parties but have not been chosen yet….thanks for the info on giving detailed specifics on how to make your party special….I have not been doing that but I will. Congrats to all those who have been chosen….maybe my day is coming soon.

I got picked to host a Durex Valentine’s Edition House Party. They sent me a box full of stuff. It’s my 1st House Party and I’m really excited.
We were chosen to test out the new game House Party2 and Kids Dance Party before Christmas. We had an absolute ball doing this with all the kids. They can’t get enough of it. Two weeks ago we were chosen to host the Tru Moo Milk Party!!. I can’t wait to test this one out. Who doesn’t love thick chocolate milk….YUMMY!

Just my two cents on the durex party, everyone keeps saying a night for the girls, why not do a couples night, might open up some dialogue that many folks are lacking and are not sure how to get the convo rolling. Granted, they might not talk about it at the party, but in the car on the way home, who knows?!?!? You could spice up some marraiges!
I agree, but HP actually called this one a ‘girls night out’… doesn’t mean it has to be though.
I’ve gotten quite a few: Fisher Price Playdate, Pull-ups Party (last years), Star Wars, XBOX game one, UL Lights party, McDonald’s SHREK party (that one was the BEST), Werther’s Originals HP, and at least 4-5 more that I can’t think of!!! 🙂

I was chosen for the Shutterfly photo book party. Each guest received coupons for free photo books and free photo cards. As well, we got shopping bags, candy, balloons, and lots of other coupons!
Shutterfly Party was my first one and so much fun!! Really hoping to get chosen for another party soon!
Ive done Juicy Juice, Black Gold, Digiorno, Arnold Sandwich Thins, Clorox Greenworks, Just Dance 2, Oscar Meyer Hotdogs… they were all great! Of course I’ve also missed out on some really great ones I wasnt chosen for. And I didnt get the Coffeemate party either 🙁
I won the first party I ever applied for – The Oscar Meyer Hot Dog party – and it was GREAT! I got 20 coupons for any pack of hot dog free, plus coupons for condiments, an apron, a serving tray, and napkins. I did it “diner style” and got squeeze bottles for the condiments and plastic baskets with wax paper to serve the hot dogs. Who ever ate the most hot dogs got to take home the apron. We had so much fun!
But that was over a year ago and I haven’t been picked since even though I’ve applied for lots and put a lot of thought into the “special” box. I am wondering if I didn’t do enough of the online stuff, like uploading photos and making sure my guests rsvp on thier site rather than just calling me.
I was also chosen for the coffee mate art night party. I received my kit yesterday. It had an art kit, paint pad, drawing pad, cups, napkins, taster’s choice samples, coffee mate original samples a coupon to purchase more creamers as well as sealed envelopes to give to my guests containing a coupon for a free coffee mate. I work at a school so I thought this would be a great Friday treat in our workroom with the slogan “thanks for sticking to the grind”!
Also, back in November I was chosen to host an international coffee and nilla wafer party. It was a great event! My friends loved it!! I had applied for many and was never picked. My advice is to keep trying!
I haven’t been chosen for any! I’ve applied for at least ten and I always give detailed, creative responses. I think it’s because of my age group (18-24) and because I have no children..
I’ve hosted a Gerber, Febreeze, Beyblade, and Shutterfly house party. All of my guests always had fun and loved the freebies.
We did Just Dance2, what a blast! And I am having the Verizon FIOS Superbowl party. Wish they had sent some food coupons with that one! I think many times it is just luck, cuz one I really wanted was PerlerBeads (my daughters are OBSESSED with them) and wrote very specific ideas and theme tie ins and was not chosen. Still, it’s great to get free things…..a digital picture frame came with the Verizon package. I love it!

I got chosen to to the art coffee mate party. The party pack is awsome! Loaded with Free Coffee Mate cpns, Free single serve Coffee Mate and Nescafe Coffee. Tons of Craft supplies for the kiddies. They even sent napkins and cups!!

I got chosen to do the Durex girltalk party. It was the first party I applied for. Im not sure how they choose the approvals. I applied for the pizza one but did not get it.
I just got picked to host a Freshetta pizza party and last September was picked to host a Kraft Homestyle Macaroni and Cheese party. I have also been picked for a Chex Mix Party and a Hershey’s Cookie Party both of which are not associated with House Party. Keep on applying is all I can say.
We qualified at house party for the oven flatbread inspiration party. Should be so fun!
I was chosen to host a Coffee Mate free Friday’s party!! I was so excited when I got the party kit with coffe samples, creamer samples, cups, napkins, ribbons for office awards, and an awesome espresso machine 🙂 They also included coupons to pass out to my guests for coffee mate, but I e mailed them to let them know I would be using a couple to buy additional flavors of creamer for my party…they e mailed back and said they would send more coupons for my guests. They did apologize for the inconvenience, which really was not a problem for me to begin with!
I was just accepted for the freschetta house party. This is my second one. I did the Quilted Northern one last fall and it was fun but I’m looking forward to this one since it is food. People thought I was nuts when I invited them to a toilet paper party. lol. I have applied a couple others that I did not get. I too try to be very specific regarding the theme and how I will make the party special when I respond to the questions.
When I tried to sign up for the Digiorna Pizza and Hoops house party, it stated that my email address was already in use. I have no idea what this means because I have never heard of house parties like these. Any ideas on how this could happen?

I was choosen for a Coffee Mate party for office – got a single cup coffee pot, coffee, coffee mate samples, instant coffee samples, coupons for coffee mate – a mouse pad, and ribbons for people to wear – I am bringing that to work next week. I also get chosen for a “martini” party!! 12 full size bottles of different martini mixes and coupons. I’m having a girls night – this one is going to cost me though – I need to get some martini glasses and alcohol – but I know it will still be fun – I love trying for these parties!!!

i love these house parties and have been chosen for 2 of them and had a great little party with friends and family..but my question is, how many people do not have parties and just keep the items for themselves?
I joined a facebook group and saw a thread/post where the people were just exchanging email addresses and rsvp’ing to parties, they had no intention of going to or having and that topic really annoyed me. I see so many people on here who want to have parties or have a great time throwing parties, and they are honest. But these people were chosen for parties, got the product and then were amused when the people sponsoring the parties wanted to come and photograph the party, and stated they had no people in the area to actually invite.
I guess I just fear a few dishonest people will ruin it for the rest of us. What are others thoughts?
