As most of you know, Walgreens released a corporate coupon policy a couple months ago… finally! You can view the policy here. Be sure to print a copy and bring it with you when you shop in case any issues should arise. You can also now print Walgreens Instant Value Coupons online here. *NOTE: If you can find the monthly coupon booklet in-store, save your printer ink. (Thanks, Rose Knows Coupons!)

Is there a place where I can view the monthly RR deals? Thanks 🙂

  2. meganph

i have been wondering. the back of the infant care coupons say they are manufacturer coupons to be used only at walgreens. so, what kind of coupon are they?

    • Joseph

they are manufacture coupons that wag system treats as store coupons. They are also known as Instant Value Coupons. You can stack them with a manu q, but make sure you hand over the manu q first before the IVC coupon. Also the cashier should only scan the coupon thus allowing you to reuse next time.

wag mgr and also a couponer too.

      • Nicole Z.

        Thanks, Joseph!

      • Amber

So the assistant manager told me I had to hand over my $2 Walgreens diaper coupon in the infant care booklet today, I tried to explain that you can use your Walgreens coupons over and over and that they needed to give it back to me. He told me since it says manufacturer coupon I had to hand it over. I have never had this problem before. Called corporate, the lady acted confused and told me of course you have to give them your coupon. My manager is not very coupon friendly and doesn’t understand how it works. I have had several problems with her and I don’t know what her opinion will be. If she doesn’t agree what do you suggest? It’s not really that big of a deal because I can grab more of the coupon books, but I would prefer to leave them for other customers.

        • brittney

I tried to use on eof the coupons from the baby book with a huggies coupon and they said that because they were both manf. coupons i couldn’t do that, wouldn’t that be the same thing with the pampers deal posted?

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The key is in the UPC. If it starts with a 5 or, sometimes a 9, it is a true MQ. If it is a series of zeroes with a 4 digit PLU at the end, it is a WQ. According to policy, Wags will accept one MQ and one of each WQ available per item. It doesn’t happen often!
And then there is Rite Aid…LOL

  3. vanessa

I got a $1 off 1 package Kleenex in the sneeze catcher package I recieved. Going to use that to get a free pack of Kleenex (hopefully with 11cent overage)

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Just curious…was your sneeze catcher package in English or Spanish? Mine arrived and it was in Spanish. Not sure what was up with that.

      • vanessa

Mine was in spanish as well.

        • Sara

Mine was also in Spanish 🙂

  4. Jen

Could we use our $1.00 Olay coupon from our P&G mail-in books to make the P&G a better deal? It states $1.00 off PCC. What is PCC? LOL I thought ‘personal care’, but don’t know what the other ‘c’ is for. If we can use 3 of those, that would make it $1.00 an item.

    • vanessa

I have no idea what PCC stands for either, but I used mine on bar soaps and it went through fine, so I’m guessing it’s for any personal care.

    • Jessica B

I posted this below, but thought I would reply to your actual post also. PCC on a P&G Brand coupon stands for Personal Care & Cleansing. You were on the right track! =)

  5. Laurie M.

What is the P&G Everyday Savings Booklet and where can I find it?

    • cbear1415

It was available last year when you sent in $50.00 worth p&g receipts before coupons:) then you’d get the coupon booklet .P.S they usually do this once a year

    • TeresaB

Every once in a while hip2save will have a posting for registering to for a P&G Everyday Solutions coupon booklet. Once you register, a coupon booklet will get mailed to you. I haven’t seen an offer for a while.

Every quarter, P&G offers product samples and coupons through their web site. Google p&g everyday solutions and go through those links to see the coupons that they are offering this quarter.

  6. katie

i hardly ever shop at walgreens, but i noticed the goody hair elastics and the purex deals in here and those have been on my list of things to get anyway. since i don’t shop there often, i wanted to spend the rr from the elastics on the purex. but if i use the 2 $3/1 q’s from the rp, can i use the rr also or do i have to buy a third item to be able to use the rr? can it be a piece of candy or pack of gum or something under a buck even though the rr is for $2? if anyone knows, i’d appreciate any help!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

yes you have to buy a third item but it can be anything a small candy any price. hope this helped

    • cbear1415

Yes, you’d need a third item something small gum, pencil, candy etc..

    • Mom of 3

My Wags has these individually wrapped pieces of Chewy Lemon Heads by the registers for 20 cents. I grab those on my way to the check out as low-cost fillers, plus I love Lemon Heads. HTH!

      • katie

great idea. thanks for your help, everyone!

  7. Cherie Roche

    Thanks Collin!

  8. Dianne

    Tilex coupon here:
$1.00/1 – Tilex Mold and Mildew Remover & Mildew Root Penetrator and Remover – (tilex.com)

    • Collin

Thanks, Dianne! 🙂 I’m adding this coupon!

  9. Jessica B

If PCC is on a P&G brand coupon, it stands for Personal Care & Cleansing. =)

  10. Julie

does anyone think the $1 off one stouffers entree that we printed out a couple weeks ago will work on the mac n cheese?

    • rossjulie

Yes, why not! It’s an entree. I’m using it!

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I am new at using coupons. Can someone please tell me how the RR works?

  12. Mitch

    I need another Pantene coupon!
And the Fiber One is a great deal.
    thanks!
    http://www.gaynycdad.com

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      I’ll send you mine! (2)

  13. melissa

Will the RR only print on Sunday for the kleenex or will it print today & tomorrow?

    • Jessica B

I would assume that you would have to wait until tomorrow for any type of Register Rewards because the ad doesn’t start until tomorrow. I know the CVS honors this week and next week’s ad on Saturdays (at least my local store does) – but when I mentioned that at Walgreens a few weeks ago, they couldn’t figure out what I was talking about.

      • melissa

thank you for your help – It will save me the embarrassment:)!

    • Nicole

Kleenex RR is running 1/24-2/20 so if you buy Kleenex today (saturday) your RR will print.

      Kleenex Tissue 60 ct + get $1 RR wyb 5, $1.50 RR wyb 6, or $2 RR wyb 7 1/24-2/20

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

However its a better deal on the 20th because of the in ad coupon.

  14. Anne

Here in Chicago we pay sales tax of almost 10% on the full price of the item before coupons, RRs, etc. So e.g., the Fusion razor system at $1.99 seems like a good price just for the blades, I think there are 2 blades in the package. But then I remember to add on tax which is another dollar, and suddenly $3 doesn’t seem like such a terrific price. Does anyone else have to remind yourself to add the tax back in? Sometimes I’m tempted to pick something up even if I don’t really need it because it’s free after RR/ECBs and coupons, but then I realize it’s not free, it’s $1 or more because of the tax.

    • Tiffani

You are right! When I was new to couponing I would get excited over a free product and get it whether I needed it or not, forgetting about paying tax. Now I only purchase an item if it is a MM if I don’t need it!

    • Jennifer

I do the same thing! We pay 7.9% tax here which isn’t as high as yours but still adds up. To me just paying tax on something I am going to use is still a great deal but I don’t buy items I won’t use just because they are free after RR/UP and coupons because I am still paying tax which over time adds up.

  15. Ehrin

I don’t often shop at Wags, but I’m considering the Kleenex deal. Would this work? Buy 7 packs, use a buy 3, get 1 free coupon and two $.50/3 coupons.

    • Collin

Yes, you should be able to combine those 3 coupons with your purchase of 7 Kleenex Facial Tissues! 🙂

      • Ehrin

        Thanks, Collin! You’re the best!

      • Cathy

Sorry, I put my first comment in the wrong spot. I’m wondering about the Kleenex deal. The in ad coupon says limit of 3 except in ID or NM. So how do you get 7 for that price? Can anyone help?

        • ericabrooks77

I am wondering the same thing, Cathy.

          • floridalado

I had the same problem. Off I went to Walgreen’s to do my Kleenex deal and get my newspapers and I discovered the limit 3. I changed my plan and came home without Kleenex because I couldn’t remember how many you had to buy minimum to get a RR. So this is my new plan: buy 5 Kleenex, $1.49 x 5 = $7.45 use $1.00 off 4= $6.45, use buy 3 get 1 free (should take off $1.49) = $4.96, use Wags coupon (should take off $.60 x 3 = $1.80) = $3.16, get back $1.00 RR when you buy 5. With coupons, sale and RR that should be $.43 a box. Does this sound right? Thank you.

            • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I did the kleenex deal today. The ad says limit 3 but it will still deduct for the 7, The cashier would either have to only let you buy 3 or readjust the 4 boxes back up to the none coupon price. Most of the time it’s more work, so they don’t bother with it. The deal worked great for me.

  16. Amanda

I haven’t gotten my PG book yet…anyone else?

    • mythreesons1967

      just got mine today

    • rossjulie

You can check the status of your PG Booklet online. Google the Everyday Solutions site and you’ll eventually find the place to check the status. I swear mine arrived a day after checking my status.

  17. JENNA

Was wondering if anyone in the Mansfield, Ohio area was able to find the infant care coupon booklets? Would love to get some cheap diapers but could not find them last week.

    Thanks

    • candace

I don’t live in Ohio, but I looked EVERYWHERE at my wags trying to find them. I asked the lady at the cosmetic counter and she had no idea what I was talking about. So I found a guy that looked like a manager and he remembered seeing them but couldn’t find them either. So he asked another manager and he was like..”yeah, they’re right there on the infant isle”….????? So he goes to the infant row and they were behind an advertisment banner for flu shots or something like that. They were the same height and width of the advertisement. I would have NEVER seen them. So make sure to check behind things like that if you can’t find them at the register/cosmetic….counters. 🙂 Oh and the coupons in them are good til the end of this year!!!

    • Amber

If you want to leave your email here I can contact you to mail you some (postage paid by you though).

      • Sarah

I would take a few. have not been able to get out to my wags. csshirk@live.com

I am using my one off qs for other clorox items

  20. Cathy

I’m wondering about the Kleenex deal. The in ad coupon says limit of 3 except in ID or NM. So how do you get 7 for that price? Can anyone help?

    • Jen

Most stores do NOT limit with the in-store coupon. It says limit 3, but will take off for each one that you buy. I have NEVER had them limit me, just don’t “clear the shelf” and everything should be fine. HTH I haven’t studied the “deal”, cause I need NO Kleenexes, but I would just tell them you need to buy that many to get the RR. It SHOULDN’T be a problem.

      • Cathy

Thanks. I’ll give it a try.

    • john

I was told by my manager that they can not limit the number of items the Walgreens coupons are valid for regardless of what the coupon says. I have NEVER had a problem with that.

    Questions regarding this post:

Old Spice All Fresh Collection body wash, body spray, and antiperspirant/deodorant Buy 1 get 1 50% off
Use the buy Old Spice Deodorant get a Fresh Collection product FREE coupon found in the 1/30 PG

***Can you use 2 buy one free coupons making both items free?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

No. You have to actually pay for one item. You could however use a $ off coupon on the one you are paying for.

  22. Amber

Some sane couponer please help me out with this question. I went to Walgreens today to do the Walgreens brand diaper deal with the infant care coupon booklet. The cashier tore my Walgreens coupon out of the booklet and would not let me keep it. I have always been under the impression that we don’t have to hand over Walgreens coupons. I could just go and grab another 10 of the booklets, but I would think they would prefer I leave those for other people and continue to use the one that I have. I view these books as the Monthly Walgreens coupon books, they always give those back because you could just grab another one. I called Corporate and the lady sounded confused and said yes maam you have to give the cashier your coupons. I said I understand in the case of a manufacturer coupon, but a Walgreens coupon where I could just grab another one for free? She clearly was not understanding what I was talking about. Are we allowed to keep them or are we supposed to hand them over. I have been doing this for three years and I have never had to hand them over.

    • candace

My cashier took mine the other day and threw it in the trash can right next to her???? I don’t understand either if they are not gonna put it in their coupon book…but just throw it away, what difference does it make? Wags can be very confusing to me sometimes 😀 hahaha

    • Dana

      Amber,
Check out what Joseph said in comment 2.1. He said the cashier is supposed to give it back and if I am reading his comment right he is a Wags manager. I would talk to your store manager. HTH

      • Amber

Dana, thank you! I was sure I was right, but sometimes they can make you a little crazy and you start questioning yourself.

        • Jo

Yes, but from my experience not all associates and managers are the same. I wish Joseph worked at all the stores!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

This coupon book has caused a few problems because the coupons say manufacturer coupon on the back. So some associates are not sure how to handle the coupon and if they need to keep it for their totals.

Candace – As far as throwing it away in front of you…that was just rude. If they are not going to keep it. Then they should give it back.

      • candace

my thoughts exactly! If she wasn’t gonna put it in her coupon book to tally at the end of the day what was the point in me giving it to her?? Oh well, I grabbed a couple more books when I went today so….it’s all good! 🙂

  23. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

They took my coupon for the $2/1 Wags diaper = $4 off buying 2 (the BOGO sale). So today (last day of the sale) I had to go there anyway and was lucky enough to find one more infant care coupon booklet and was able to get 2 more of the diapers. after tax came to .10 per diaper! That is great..Kinda wish I could have been able to get more.

  24. Anna

On a off note, if anyone has a 20% Amazon coupon they are not using, I sure could use it to get some things for my son. You can email me at camcope1atsbcglobaldotnet. Thanks in advance.

  25. Jo

I went to Walgreens today and the lady almost would not accept my printed coupons because she said there was writing on the back. I explained that I recycle paper and don’t believe in wasting perfectly good paper on coupons. She called a manager, who didn’t know either but let me use the coupons anyways. Has this happened to anyone else? I thought it was the stupidest thing. The coupon scanned and had the watermark…It seems like it’s always a hit and miss with WAGS and the associate helping you at checkout.

    • Brittany

Are you serious? LOL! You should have said I’m trying to use a coupon, not cash a check lady 🙂 Who cares what’s on the back? I recycle paper as well, and just make sure there isn’t personal information on the back of what I’m printing. I have found that it’s best to try to get to know one or two Wags cashiers at your store if you frequently shop there. I understand your frustration though. A manager tried to tell me a couple of weeks ago that I couldn’t use a manufacturer coupon and store coupon together! Some of the employees really are clueless, but I have also met several who are super nice and patient with my couponing.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

At my Wags, the Cosmetics counter cashier is always more patient and pleasant, for some reason. She also keeps her own coupon binder to help us. Try to get a rapport with her. hth

    • tonya

I had a high-school age cashier at the grocery store look at the back of my coupon for what felt like an eternity. I had printed a coupon on the back of a physics hand out from last semester. She looked really confused until I explained what I had done. She did end up taking it, though! 🙂

  26. Brittany

Question about the gain dish soap. Are you allowed to use the 1/1 any gain detergent from the 2/13 RP? There is clearly a picture of laundry detergent on the coupon, but someone on another blog had mentioned it could be used on dish detergent since it doesn’t mention the exclusion? I don’t want to be dishonest and I’m still pretty new with couponing so I would appreciate the feedback. Thanks!

    • rossjulie

I’m guessing no. I love couponing, but I love being an honest couponer more. There are $1/1 dish soap coupons out there, along with.25 ones.

  27. Melissa

Where or how can I get the infant care coupon book!

    • meganph

if you don’t mind sending me a paypal for postage i will send you one! meganph(at)gmail(dot)com

  28. Becky

Would anyone be able to send me an Infant Care coupon booklet? I will happily send a stamped envelope. I could not find them anywhere in my store and could really use the coupons! Thanks!
    wvmommyoftwo@aol.com

    • candace

Did you find one?? I have a couple that I grabbed from my store if you still need one 🙂

      • melissa

I have asked multiple people multiple times at my two walgreens for the infant care book and they have no idea what i am talking about. i would be so thankful if you could send me one. i can send a self-addressed stamped envelope! thanks. mskrolik at hotmail dot com

        • candace

I would be happy to send one to you. I will email you to get your addy!. I also commented on where I found mine on comment 17.1….just in case you might wanna check hidden spots in your store too !!! 🙂

          • Abby

Candace if you still have one of the Infant Care books I would love one! My manager at our store had no idea what I was talking about when I asked about these.

To answer two questions (I’m a walgreens employee):

    1) No, in ad coupons or coupons in the monthly book do not need to be kept by us. In fact, you can just read off the last 4 digits on the UPC (the rest are zero I believe) and don’t even have to tear them out. Everyone at my store knows that, but it could vary by store. Some of the employees aren’t the brightest.

    2) The sunday ad starts saturday at 6 pm approximately. This could vary by region, I’m from around Chicago. Register rewards won’t print until sunday though.

    3) If you have any coupon type problems, check out in cosmetics. The ladies there typically deal with coupons the most, they get credit for sales at their register and typically you’ll be the only person in line and they’ll be more helpful with any coupon type issues you may have.

Any other questions feel free to ask me!

    • angie archie

So true about checking out in cosmetics – my lady in Conroe, Tx rules! I believe her name is Beverly or Barbara and she is the BEST!!!!!!

    • Lori

Can I ask where you are from? I live in Naperville and would gladly come to your store. It is nice to get a coupon friendly cashier.

      • Bill

My store is in New Lenox off Rt. 30 and Nelson Road. So, its a bit of a drive from you. We like the coupon people except for the ones that come at midnight on sunday and wipe out our register reward stuff and/or steal the coupon packs from the papers. We caught them though 🙂

  30. Tera

I live in Kentucky and had a problem with my Walgreens cashier too! She was very rude, and she seemed like she was mad that I was getting my items basically free with my RR!! Her store provides these coupons and she was acting like they were coming out of HER paycheck! Anyway, I got online and complained to corporate via email. The VERY next day, I received a call from the manager at our Walgreens store, and apologized over and over, and assured me that it would never happen again. I guess she doesnt like anyone saving money! Wouldnt she??

    • Jen

Ha Ha! I live in KY, too, and they literally follow me around like I truly am “stealing”! One does that, the other comes over to see me check out so she knows what to buy! 🙂

    • bellabimba

It happened to me all the time. The first time I went shopping to Walgreens Im so frustrated. because the cashier is really snob. So I hurried to finish paying and when I got home and check what I bought and how much I paid, she done it wrong.. the very night I email a complaint about what happened during my purchase and the manager call me the next day. But I still need to go to talk to the manager because they owe $10 to me..

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’m in KY too 🙂 Where are you guys? I’m in Louisville, so tons of options for shopping at multiple Wags if I have issues with certain cashiers/managers.

Sorry, meant to post this as Brittany and not anonymous lol. I’m on hubby’s computer lol

  31. Rhea

Anyone in Texas have luck finding the infant care booklets??? I am having NO luck…

    • Rhea

Also, does the cashier just scan your coupon from the infant care book once and it takes off according to how many items you have. Or, do you have to tell them how many times to take off?

    • Yolanda

Yes I found them at my local walgreens, they were at the cosmetics register! I live in san antonio, texas. They just had a little stack of them and I only took 2. sorry the answer was for Rhea!

      • Rhea

thanks. I called and went to a couple of Walgreens…they had no clue what I was asking for…it was like I was talking a foreign language. LOL

    • candace

in Austin, tx and they had them hidden behind an advertisement sign. It was on the top shelf by the formula or something like that. The sign was for a flu shot or some such thing and the booklets were the same height and width as the sign! I woulda NEVER seen them!! The manager was like oh yeah they’re right there on the aisle…..but who would see that????!!!!

    • Amber

Nope I am in S Tx and nothing I have 8 Wags near me and nothing

      • cassiesoren

Hey where in S Texas are you from? I am in the McAllen area and I can’t find any booklets here either!

  32. bellabimba

Anyone lives in Beloit, WI??? I practically doesn’t know people around here. I just moved here from Italy so basically doesn’t have any friend. :(.. ohh well!

    • Lindsey

Aw, I’m sorry. I don’t live near WI, but I love Italy. I’ve been there a few times and I took Italian in college. Mi piace l’italiano 🙂 Can’t wait to go back.

  33. Rachel

Anyone find the infant boOk in Utah one store didn’t know What I was talking about and the other store was out of em

    • Jolene

Yes, I’ve found several in Utah County! I haven’t looked anywhere else though.

  34. Dawn

Anyone have any extra of those infant coupon books they can send me?? I looked and called at 2 or 3 of our Walgreens. Can’t find any and nobody knows anything.

    • Rhea

      same here…boo

      • Wags Em

They are in the sign kit for March! The sign kit is already in their stockrooms, they just need to open it up.

    • Amber

Our WAGS has a TON and I would be happy to ship some if shipping was paid for up front. I have no idea how much it would cost to ship 1 or more (if you wanted more). Leave your email here and I will reply to you. When I am at WAGS this morning I will pick up some extra.

      • meganph

i also have some i can send (postage paid). meganph(at)gmail(dot)com

  35. Mitchell Wischmann

I think you meant to put the 2/20 RP instead of the 2/20 RR in your L’Oreal deal. 😉

  36. Mitchell Wischmann

The Purex is $7.99 in my ad.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

But it’s buy one get one free so really they’re 3.99 a piece. Pair with 2 $3/1 coupons and they’re $0.99. Is that what you were confused about?

      • Mitchell Wischmann

No, Collin’s post says they are buy one get one free at $8.99.

        • Jennifer
  37. Brenda

I would love to get one of the Infant Care Coupon booklets from someone. I had asked for one at my Wags this week and the manager asked why. I told him the deal with the diapers and he said, “That would not make sense for you to save that much when I already have them on sale BOGO!” and told me that he had never heard of them. You can reach me at couponbren@hotmail.com.

    • meganph

how silly. i would be happy to send you one. just paypal me the postage to meganph(at)gmail(dot)com

  38. Donna

Anyone know of any Clorox coupons for the Clorox wipes deal? Thanks.

  39. RH

It’s a long shot…but if anyone has any extra infant care coupon book you wouldn’t mind sharing…will you let me know. couponsrus1 at hotmail dot com

    • Kristen

I picked up an extra one today! I’ll shoot you an e-mail for your address.

  40. Tera

Brittany from KY, I live in a small town called Mortons Gap! In Western KY, about an hour away from Paducah. Every heard of Madisonville? We are a little town about 10 minutes from there. Please tell me you arent a Louisville fan?? lol….cuz we bleed blue! Nice to meet you!

    • Brittany

Yes I’ve heard of it! And no, I am absolutely not a U of L fan lol. I’m a UK alum 🙂 My hubby’s job is here and we moved here from Lexington last year. It was a tough move for me, lol

  41. Tammy

I’m in Portland, OR which is a test market for the Walgreens Rewards Card. We get very FEW Register Rewards. This week we only get three and they call them “Hot Buy”. Instead we get Points to purchase gift cards to different places. Any idea on how long this test is going for and when everyone else will switch to it? I hate seeing all the RR that I miss weekly. 🙁

    • Janice Greene

I guess once they start that program, it will be one more reason for me to stick to CVS and Rite Aid. I’m not a huge fan of Walgreen’s b/c I get tired of fighting with them now, but I put up with it for the RR. If they go away, I go away 🙂

    • Jody

I totally understand! We are in Kansas and also in the rewards test region. I am trying to decide if the Pampers deal is worth it. It is hard because I haven’t found any websites that cover deals using the rewards points.

  42. nicoleD

In case this helps anyone… I was at walgreens this morning and getting the pampers deal. I was told the walgreens coupon in the infant book was a manufacturers so I couldn’t use any of my RR with the deal. Also.. the kleenex at my store did not have RR and I was unable to find it in the ad… still good price though.

  43. Florida Shopper

If you print more than one Rephrsh coupon will they work?

    • Michelle

I used 2 this morning in 2 different transactions.

      • Florida Shopper

        Thanks.

  44. Christine

Is there anyone that might be interested in trading some qs? I was really counting on the Purex deal, but we didn’t get any of those in our RP (nw ohio). Thanks 🙂

  45. Rhonda in SA TX

Just left Wage and the visited deal is complicated and not worth it. I had a very nice manager try tor help me by doing different scenarios and using different business, but in the end you still pay about $3.00 per bottle 🙁
    I meant Walgreens

    oops… again I meant Walgreens

    • Jennifer

What deal were you trying to get…the “visited deal?” I don’t understand what that means….

      • Rhonda in SA TX

Sorry it’s this “smart” phone.. hehehe

  47. Kristina

Hello! I tried getting the Glade Fabric & Air for 2/$5 and used my buy1get1free + $1 off coupons and they said the Glade Fabric & Air was not included in this sale. Did anyone else have any problemss??

    • Jennifer Bent

not included in the sale in central FL either. $3.99… but with BOGO and $1 off, it was still a good deal. bummer 🙁
