    What is Ecb?

    • DeeDee

Extra Care Bucks you can use to pay for your next purchase.

    • LC

Extra Care Bucks… you may want to click on her store guide (it’s in blue, at the bottom). It’ll explain everything there. It’s basically money to use on your next purchase at CVS

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Extra Care Bucks

    • Alicia

ECB is short of EXTRA CARE BUCK. These are the reward coupons that CVS gives out after you pay for you to use next time.

      • eunsill

Can I use expired ECB? I have one week ago expired one..:-( I really wanted to get some purex this week, but ppl snagged all..I did not see even single Purex.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You can always ask for a rain check if you are unable to purchase an item on sale that is sold out. Rain Checks do not expire for a year and the cashier will give it to you if you just ask.

          • eunsill

Thanks so much! I will go to CVS todayt then! 😀

            • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

And if you have a coupon for that item, save it, and use it with the raincheck. Remember too that you’ll still get any ecb’s that were to be given out with that item! Sweet!

        • Kathleen

I think it varies from store to store. The CVS by my work takes them up to one month expired, while the one closer to my house will not. Go Figure!

          • Julie

Yes, it definitely varies from store to store. Just call your store and ask. I had some that were going to expire but there was really nothing I needed that week, so I called and my store takes them up to one year after they expire!

        • Ashley

A manager told me that I can use them no matter when they expire, and they take them at the other CVS I go to as well. Always ask at the store – call ahead so you don’t waste a trip!

        • Dianne

Some stores will allow you to use them and others will not. You have to ask the manager if they will take them or not.

        • Maura O

This past summer I used one by accident & the clerk who rang me up said that starting Aug 1, 2010, they would no longer be accepting expired ECB.

    • katie

extra care bucks. it’s like store credit that prints on the bottom of your receipt when you use your extra care card (which is like a store loyalty card you can get for free).

    • Krystal

It’s funny that everyone calls them Extra Care Bucks (ECBs)…they aren’t called this at all. They are simply “Extrabucks”…check your ad…that’s what it’ll say.

      • whitney

Most people call them that because the card is called an “Extra Care” card.

      • mel

I’ve been CVSing for 6+ years, they used to say Extra Care Bucks. recently it was changed to Extra Bucks, so there’s still a crowd of ppl that refer to them as ECBs.

  2. Mitch

You start with my favorite, the candy deals!
Those are the ones I cannot say no to.
This is also the place I buy my shampoo, both Pantene and VO5, and I saved a $2 Pantene coupon.
Tomorrow morning I go and match these up with my $4 off of $20, and my $10 gift card that I paid $5 for!
    thanks!
    http://www.gaynycdad.com

    • Valerie

How did you get the $4 off $20 coupon?

      • Sarah

sign up for emails from CVS

    • katie

lucky. all i ever get is $3/$15 online only. lame.

      • missdeally

imo 3/15 is much better. i have less to reach before coupons than $20.

      • Dianne

Don’t feel bad, I have been signed up for years and have NEVER gotten any $/$$ coupons from them. Go Figure.

        • Heather

Diane – have you double checked your account that you’re actually signed up? I went back once and discovered that the radio button on my profile page was set to “NO”. You might check that. Also, be aware that it seems these coupons come in cycles. While I hadn’t gotten any for a few months, just recently I’ve gotten them almost every week. HTH!

    • Elaine

Anyone have problems with the $10 for $5 GC we all bought a couple of weeks ago.One of mine absolutely will not work. I will have to hunt down the info and contact them.

      • Stephanie

I bought one and used it, it worked fine.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I had trouble with that – but the cashier just rang everything up again and put it through like a CVS coupon instead of a gift card.

  3. Amy

Could you use the B1G1 Free Oral B Cross Action coupon (expire 2/28) and turn this into a moneymaker? Buy 2 toothbrushes, use the B1G1 coupon and one $3 off coupon–get back 2 $3 ECBs.

    • Liz

      That’s what I was thinking.

      • Emily

The coupon is coded so that it will attach to both items, so it won’t work. 🙂

        • Shannon

How can you tell? I thought CVS let you use a BOGO and another coupon for $ off the item that you are not getting free?

          • Emily

When coupons end in “14” they attach to both items and will beep at most places you shop. One of my CVS takes them and one does not. You just have to check and seen.

            • Ali

This is REALLY good to know! Thanks so much for the info!

        • BLT

I was able to use it today at my CVS along with the $3 off 1.
          2 x6 = $12.00
          BOGO -$6.00
          $3 0ff 1 -$3.00
          Paid $3.00
          Rec $6.00
          Final $3.00 MM!!

    • Sarah

I did this this morning at my CVS and there wasn’t any beeping. It’s definitely worth a try!

    • Josie

This was no problem at my store today. Completely legit.

  4. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Do not forget the BOGO CrossAction toothbrush coupon from Feb P&G

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

well, I guess Amy beat me to it 🙂

      • Amy

I am still new at couponing but thought this would work : )

        • mouni

Me too. I saw that after I posted lol.

          • Emily

The coupon is coded to attach to both items, so it wont work. 🙁 Sorry!

            • Deb

              It already HAS been working.

            • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks to all who posted above deal worked beautifully for me I am stock piling for Christmas baskets for sister and brother inlaw.

    • ryan

Will cvs let you use the b1g1 coupon with the 3.00 off for the toothbrushes? Also don’t forget the 2.00 coupons that the red machine was printing out for the hersheys/reeses pieces that you could use!! with the sale this week

    • john

I have had luck with handing over the $ off coupon first, then the BOGO coupons. If I hand the BOGO coupon over first it won’t take the $ off one. Worth a try. The worst that can happen is that you make someone wait in line while you have them remove one item!

      • Brooke

I did this deal tonight. Make sure to give the $3 before the BOGO and it works!

        • mel

I tried tonight and it did not work for me. I gave the $3 coupon first, then the BOGO and it beeped Exceeds amount. Nothing she did would make it go through, so I had her void off the $3 coupon and used the BOGO instead.

          • BLT

Did you puchase anything else at the time that would have allowed the overage or were you just purchasing the toothbrushes??

            • mel

Yes, I had several other items. And there wouldn’t have been overage even if I bought the toothbrushes by themselves. (12.00 – $6 BOGO – $3/1 and I would have used $3 in ECBs to pay tax) I gave the BOGO coupon to my sister and it worked for her, so IDK why it didn’t work for me.

  5. mouni

    Thanks, Collin! 🙂
for the cross action toothbrush. There is also a BOGO coupon from the previous PG insert. Since the limit is 2 you can use that along with the 3$ off coupon and get 2 for free and 3$ money maker!
    get 2 at 6 each =12 . Use Bogo coupon +3/1. Pay 3 and get 6 ecbs. 🙂
For the chef boyardee I plan to use my free coupon Along with the 1/5 (I don’t remember from which insert.
    Get 6 chef Boyardee at 1.99 (online price) = 5.97 (3 free)
5.97-199 (free coupon) -1$ (from insert) pay 2.98 for 6!
Not bad if your family likes these like my husband. 🙂 I just hope they have enough in stock.

    • eunsill

Btw,ladies..please know that refill for that tothbrush is very expensive… few weeks ago,I bought them at Walgreens but realized that refill is expensive..more expensive than toothbrush itself.

      • mouni

You’re right, eunsill. It’s always the case with power toothbrushes and razors. That’s why they always give you these for free or almost free, so that youkep paying for those expensive refills. Not to mention the batteries. In my case I’ll be getting the toothrushes since they’re free but I won’t buy the refills.

        • bellabimba

I agree with you. But this is what I think, Get it as long as it free and don’t buy a refill. And we know that this type of power toothbrush is always on sale. So I think just buy a new one 😀 instead of buying a refill, specially on razor. 😀

          • Bessie

            I agree!

      • Sarah

I think this is a one time use battery toothbrush.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

no, these you can replace the heads when they wear out. The heads are part of the ECB deal too, the 2 pk, but I don’t know of any mainstream coupons for them. The only coupon I do have for the replacement heads is for 3 pk or larger.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

i saw the refills on clerance for 2.74. There are deals on the toothbrushes (I have about 20 of these stocked up) so don’t worry about the refills. You will most likely never need to buy them. Same goes for razors. Cheaper and usually free by rolling RR’s or ECB’s.

    • Valerie

      Says the promo has ended.

  6. Emily

The crossaction bogo coupon is coded so that it attaches to both items, so that won’t work.

Collin, why isn’t the kashi deal in red? I thought that was an okay deal….i guess they should PAY us to take it! :O 😀 LOL

Collin, Excedrin 20 ct is normally $5.00
    Here’s a scenario:
    Buy 4 Excedrin PM – $20
Use (4) $2.50 off excedrin pm
    Pay $10
    Get back $10
    FREE!

If you have any free q’s, an mm! 🙂

Last week, a crt was printing everyday for $2 off any Hersheys or Reeses peices. Use 2 of these , and the $2/2 coupon for MM Hersheys drops! 🙂

    • Collin

      Emily,

I thought I highlighted the awesome Kashi deal… but somehow I guess I didn’t. It’s now highlighted in red! It’s a great one!

…And thanks for the Excedrin scenario! 😀

get $6 extra bucks for buying 2 so free plus 3 mm.

    • Shannon

My CVS has been out of Excedrin PM since the last time they ran this deal (my raincheck is dated January 3!). 🙁 Maybe I should talk to the manager to see if he will order more….

      • Ali

I had this same problem with the Secret deodorants that went on sale two or three weeks ago, the shelf at my store hasn’t been replenished since! (Unless they ordered them and had another run on them for no reason in one of the 3-4 day spans that I don’t visit my store) I finally gave up and used my Raincheck at another location, worried about the exp date on the relevant manufacturer’s Q.

    • tina

awesome tip on the hersheys drops i would have missed them all together if you hadn’t have mentioned it. i got several magic q’s for them this week but had forgotten about them. just dug them out and put them with my list for tomorrows cvs run

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        What tip on the drops?

  7. Kelly

Thanks so much for your awesome writeups, Collin!

I noticed that Nature Made vitamins are B1G1. I have a store Q for $4 off $10 of Nature Made vitamins. Do I have to meet the $10 threshold before or after the free one is subtracted? Any help would be great.

    • nancycrom

Yes, the bogo sale will take the free item off before your subtotal. Just buy more bottles! There’s lots of q’s for them.

  8. Linda

For those who recently requested the sample of Nexxus shampoo, the sample came with a $3.00 coupon.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I used the $3Q on a Nexxus hairbrush clearanced to $3.74

  9. Janessa

If any of you all got the Kashi Go Lean Crisp cereal sample a little while back, there was a 3$ coupon in that. It makes it a money maker!!

    • Emily

My store doesn’t sell the go.lean crisp. 🙁

    • megan

sweet, i hadn’t even opened the package yet 🙂

  10. Mary

The Physicans formula “try me” rebate has expired. I bought some in mid January and opened the pink form to see it ended in Dec of 2010. I called their CS to see if they would still honor the rebate since I found it in the store after the date. She told me no. So unless they have started a new Try Me promotion, it won’t work any more.

    • Laurie M.

I never received the Physicians formula rebate from months and months ago. I bought that bamboo compact from CVS. I don’t have much faith that I’ll get it at this point.

    • mouni

There is a newer one. I’m reading the try me free peelie right now and it says that the offer ends November 30 2011.

    • Sarah

Definitely check the date on them! I found one in my store that expired in 2009! I can’t imagine that that make up is even good anymore. Needless to say, I didn’t purchase that item.

    • Heather F.

I bought the eye booster 2-in-1 eyeliner for $10.99 and it has a try me free peelie that says it’s good until 12/31/2011. Got the $7 ECB so basically a $7 money-maker. 🙂

  11. SlyFox

So, I have 4 FREE On Any 1 Excedrin Extra Strength or Excedrin Migraine Coupons (Max. Value of $5.99) I will be able to get $10.00 ECB back besides 4 FREE Excedrin Extra Strength boxes and Pay Nothing? If this is correct, will CVS allow this by using the FREE Coupons, Please?

    • Emily

      Yes, they do! Good job!

    • Kelly

As far as know, you should be able to use all 4 free Qs and make $10. Good for you!

    • Lindsey

Yes, but you will have to pay tax on the pre-coupon value (unless your state doesn’t charge tax on pain meds).

  12. Molly Swanson

What is RP? Not sure where to look for these coupons for the candy. Thanks:)

    • mouni

      Red plum coupon insert.

    • Melindatx3

RP stands for Red Plum. Its on of the coupon inserts that come in the weekly paper. Others include Smart Source (SS) and Proctor & Gamble Saver (P&G).

    • Brianna

RP=Red Plum, the name of a coupon packet. Check out Collin’s “Coupon Newbie” tab at the top!!! It’s VERY helpful.

  13. Missy

Hi there, I have been trying really hard to get some amazon codes for diapers or the $10 off codes that someone can’t use. It would help me out so much if you want to send them to me. Thank you and have a great day 🙂 marissa_rostad@hotmail(dot)com

    • Mel

I found my $10 code in parents magazine at Walmart – it’s worth spending the $3 for the magazine.

  14. DP

My CVS Didn’t have the drops yet that the ECB printed for, also I used a $2 coupon today for the Crest Pro Health, making it a $2 MM. Can’t remember where it is from.

    • mouni

The 2$ coupon is for the bigger size. At least the one I have.

      • DP

You are right. I went and looked at the ones I have left..Omigosh, I feel terrible. She didn’t say a word and I would never do that!

        • mouni

we all make mistakes, DP. You shouldn’t feel terrible since you didn’t know.

          • DP

            Thank you 🙂

  15. SlyFox

Thank YOU SO Very Much Emily and Kelly for answering my question so quickly. That’s Really Awesome. Will head over there early tomorrow morning.
Thanks again Ladies, you both made my day.

  16. Jill

The Nexxus deal gets even more awesome if you have the $3/1 coupons from the trial size freebies we got a while back. I loved the Nexxus but didn’t want to pay for it – this might entice me to do that! Thanks Collin! 🙂

  17. Patti

Folger’s Coffee is on sale 2/$5. There’s a Q for $2.50 off 2 making it $1.25 each. Pretty good deal for coffee. I found the coupon through a link on IheartCVS.com.

    • Emily

There was a coupon available a while ago for $1.50 off 1, so $1!! 🙂

    • kimberly

I’ve tried several zip codes for the folger’s coupon, but I only get the .25/1 or .50/1. If you find a $1.50/1 or $2.50/2 coupon, please share! 🙂

      • Nicole

Where are you looking for the coupons? I didn’t have luck through swagbucks and had to actually go to coupons.com. This was with the zips that have been posted…can’t remember what they are now.

      • Ashley

I used 90210 and both are available.

  18. Shannon

Last week Mars candy was on sale at Rite Aid 2/$1. I was able to use the “Buy 2 get 1 free Milky Way or 3 Musketeers bars,” so it was 3/$1 or .33 each! I bought 12, got 6 free.

  19. christine

anyone know what time the registers change over for the next week’s sale? i know there is a time that the registers start to give the new sales prices and register rewards for next weeks sales, but cant remember the times?

    • fran

My stores are somewhere around 5:00 PM, but I guess it varies from store to store. Your best bet would be to call your store, just to make sure.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

At most CVS locations, you can shop both sales ads on Saturday. (the previous week and the new add that starts on Sunday). It has worked for me several times even on some Sat. mornings. Hope that helps!

  20. jerimolloy

Today was my first CVS trip, and my store actually starts there Sunday sale on Saturday so I headed right away when i found out.

    1st Transaction:
    1 crest pro health mouthwash
1 crest vivid white tooth paste
had a $1 off coupon from the P&G savings book, they wouldn’t accept my $1.00 off mouthwash coupon so I paid out of pocket $6.00
    $6.58 ECB back

    2nd Transacation:
    2 Reese Minis
    1 Revitlns Contact solution
    1 Green bag tag
I had 2 of the $2.00 of CVS Qs for Hersey minis, and then used my $6.58 ECB, which was $1.49 out of pocket
    $5.99 EBC back

    3rd Transaction:
    2 Oral B power toothbrushes
used a B1G1 coupon and $5.99 ECB, paid a $0.01 and got back $6.00 ECB!!!!!!
With this being my first CVS trip I think I did awesome! This site is so cool! 🙂

    • Anonymous

Way to go!!!! You did Awesome:)

    • Nicole

You did do good. But if you start racking up your ECB’s you won’t have to do so many transactions. I cannot stand doing more than one transaction which is why I love CVS and Rite Aid…no limit on coupons/items! But that’s just me!

  21. Amber

Amazon 20% off diapers coupon codes, expire 2/28, I will not be using…
    YTU6-7E4LY3-Y8Y6GP
    YJTH-V7WG2S-FMAK4S

    • Anonymous

Thanks I will use them, please remove this post so that no one uses it before me!!!!

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Well, If they used it before you it means it was meant for them since it was posted for anyone to use. First come first serve.

        • Kim

Here’s 2 more 20% off diapers for anyone to use – they expire on the 28th! I submitted this @ 4:13 central time on Saturday…
          YJRR-QBGJQ4-6NWFJU
          YTRQ-SKSFN2-5C22U3

          • Sarah B

These were already used when I tried them 🙁 But thanks for your generosity!
(if anybody else wants to share my email is sarahb sb scraps [at] gmail [dot] com ) 🙂

  22. Tori c

I have 2 $10 amazon coupons I would likE to trade for either similac checks or chick fil a coupons.

Email me at tchauvin@hotmail.com if interested

  23. Anonymous

Off topic, but anyone have $10 Amazon baby store code that you are not going to use? I would love to get one that expires in March. I have free coupon for Clairol Nice n’ Easy Color Blend Foam hair color that I’m willing to trade if you like:) If you have one please contact me through this post or e-mail me @ krhy77 at yahoo dot com

    Thanks in advance!

    • Renee

I have a March expiration Amazon code-somehow I got a free subcription to whatever baby magazine this was in- my baby is 12 and I don’t know anyone pregnant. I also somehow received a $5 coupon for any Similac that I won’t be using- if you want both of these for your Clairol coupon contact me @ rick_hyde@sbcglobal.net

  24. jmartcougar

Can I use two manufacture coupons on BOGO items. I was looking at the arm and hammer detergent…

    • mouni

Yes, you can. CVS and Rite Aid allow 2 coupons on BOGO sales.

      • jmartcougar

        thank you!

  25. Emily

My cvs doesn’t carry Go Lean Crisp, does anyone know if their stores actually HAVE that product? Thanks!

    • Sarah

I looked at my store this morning. They had it in one flavor and had a few boxes of it. My store isn’t particularly big and I don’t live in a big city or anything. I guess it’s just hit and miss store to store.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

They do carry it at my local stores.

  26. Melissa

I just used the 2 dollar off the Hershey drops on the Hershey’s Easter eggs 8 oz pack. I asked the cashier where the product was and she said that they didn’t have it, but they’re letting u use the coupons on any Hershey’s product 7 oz or larger. I have 4 more 2 use;D!

  27. babymama1205

a quick note on the swifter deal…. Target had coupons out two weeks ago for $5 off the starter kits and that with the PG $3 coupon gives a better deal. they are 18.00 at target and I got mine for 10 bucks. PLUS the PG coupon for $3 off swifter wet jet also works or the wet jet refills. I got mine at family dollar for $2.00 after using a $3 off coupon.

    • Emily

Using the $3 p&g coupon for the wet jet on the refills is improper use of a coupon. They mean for it to be used on the whole set. It only works because it’s from the same family products. The store won’t get their $3 back.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The coupon I have from the P&G booklet (the one from face book offer) says Save $3 off ANY Swiffer WetJet. It does not say off the starter kit or have any exclusions. How is it improper? I plan on using it on the $3.99 bottle refill thats on sale = .99

  28. Stephanie Zdenek

For those that say to get a raincheck – do they just give it to you at the sale price or do they indicate that you could get ECB with it?

    • kimberly

They write on my rain check how much in EBC’s you’ll get back. & I always ask that they cut out & staple the ad to the rain check, just in case . . .

    • Elaine

They write a number on the raincheck that will prompt the appropriate ECB’s along with the sale price.

    • kristien33

They will write both the sale price and the amount of ECB you should get back. 🙂

    • mel

they put the sale price and the EB to earn on the raincheck, but when you use the raincheck they have to manually print the EB, so remind them and check your receipt before you leave the store to see if it printed.

      • Stephanie Zdenek

Thanks everyone – I have been CVSing for a while and had no idea that you could ask for a raincheck and still get the ECBs!

  29. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

With the Oral B deal…if you have both a B1G1 coupon and a $3/1 coupon, should you buy get three and then $6 back? TY!

    • Sarah

If you did that you would get 3 free toothbrushes. If you only buy 2 and use the b1g1 and the $3 coupon, you would get paid $3 for the two toothbrushes.

  30. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

There is also a b1olay, g1olay moisturizer coupon in 1/30 PG

so final cost of $4.79 for body wash and moisturizer.

b1g1 secret coupon is better to use at Target, where you can buy the single bar olay, and get a secret & soap for .97 (IMHO)

  31. Nicole

When I went Sunday and then again today I got a $2 off Hershey pieces coupon from the red machine.
    So 2/$5 – 2 ($2 CVS coupons) – 1 ($2/2 1/30) = FREE or possible $1 MM. HOW COOL!!!!
    The drops are my favorite!!!

I also got a $1.50 off any softsoap coupon from the red machine. So that will be a MM too!!!!

    • mouni

My hershey coupon said 2 off 2 not one.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The magic machine coupon says $2 off on 1.

      • Nicole

Yes, buy 2 and use 2 $2 cvs coupons and 1 $2/2 mf coupon.

    • Heather

Yep, turned out to be a money maker on the drops. I had four save $2.00 CVS coupons (yes, I was in CVS four times last week Ha, ha) and two save $2.00 on 2 drops coupons from the Sunday paper. The drops were on sale 2 for $5.00 – so I made $2 when I bought four! Just what I need – more free candy! 😉

  32. Kathy

    My P&G Scenario… I can’t decide if it’s a good one or not….

    4 Pantene Shampoo/Conditioner 13.94
    Tide Detergent 5.94
    2 Bounty Towels 11.98
    Total: $31.86

    Use (2) P&G booklet coupons for Pantene-$2
    Use (2) P&G booklet coupons for Bounty-$2
    Use (1) P&G booklet coupon for Tide-$1
Use (2) other coupons for Pantene (from the mail)-$2

    Total OOP $24.86
    ECB: $10
    NET: $14.86

  33. cabh123

I was at CVS on Friday and printed out a $2/1 Hershey’s mini, kiss or reese’s pieces so I went to check out the candy aisle. They had both Easter and Valentine’s candy out so I grabbed the V-day bag thinking I might get lucky and it would be on clearance. Sure enough, the v-day bag of miniatures was reduced to $1.75 so I got the bag FREE!

Also, I think the IZZE deal might be better at Target. I was at mine this morning and they had the IZZE four packs with a price cut to $3.00. Wish I had the coupon before I bought them this morning. Will print it and buy another 4-pack 🙂

  34. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

the Pepsi 2 litter was on sale this week for BOGO and they also have an $0.88 sale starting tomorrow. well my CVS gave me the sale price for next week instead of this week and OOP i paid $0.26 plus tax $0.10; i had a peelie for $1off and a $0.50 ECB that expired today lucky me 🙂

  35. TXWife

My husband and I went at CVS this evening and he found some Zone bars on clearance for $.39 a bar. Just a heads up for anyone who wants to buy them. 🙂

  36. john

MAKE SURE YOU LOOK FOR THE BONUS AXE SPRAY DEODORANT BOTTLES. They are included in the sale and have a trial size bottle of body& hair wash wrapped with them!!! A little bonus!

  37. Ashley

    Folgers is $2//$5 and coupons.com with zip 90210 has a $2.50/2

    • Crystal

      I’m not seeing it.

  38. AshATL

Does anyone have any good scenarios for the buy $30, get $10 ECB P&G products deal on the front of the ad?

    • mel

      I bought –
      1 Dawn, 4 Tides, 1 Bounty & 2 Hershey Drops = 35.69
Used $4/20 emailed coupon, $10 in previous ECBs, 2 $2/1 Hershey coupons from the red machine, 1 $2/2 Hershey Manuf. cpn, $1 off Dawn Hand Renewal (from Home Made Simple booklet), 4 $1/1 Tide q’s (from P&G Everyday Savings booklet) and 1 $1 off Bounty (homemailer coupon) = 9.69 (+2.42 in tax), which $10 I paid with a GC I got from MyPoints & 2.11 in cash. Received $10 ECB.

  39. Heather

Oh and if you have some of those $1 off EAS Coupons that were in today’s paper – check to see if your CVS has the bars on clearance – mine did for .79 cents so free bars (and looking at my receipt – I see that they gave me the overage too)

    • Deb

I have the pdf free EAS item up to $3.99 Q’s-I’ve been getting a bunch of the bars at Publix.

  40. JessicaB

I got another $7 off physicians formula make up out of the coupon machine! I will see if I cant get an awesome deal this week.! 🙂

  41. whitney

ahhh why can’t i see the new comments???

  42. AJ

Hi, I would really appreciate a YJ 20%off amazon coupon code. Please email me @ shwsing@gmail.com
    Thanks in advance.

  43. Carie

Thanks Collin for showing me how to save! I was so excited about the Naturemade Vitamins. My husband uses the fish oil. At my CVS is was $10.49, then BOGO. I used a $ 4 0ff and a $ 3 off! $ 3.49 for two bottles. Super savings!!

My CVS wouldn’t let me use both the BOGO and the $3 off the Oral B toothbrushes but still a great deal! We were due for some new toothbrushes.

    Thanks again!

  44. jmartcougar

I saved a total of $64.88 and got back $16 ECB! After gift card and coupons brought down my total to $1.45! Thanks to all the Hip2Save community and Colin!

  45. Kelly T

We had one heck of a day at CVS…$285 for $57 OOP….

  46. Stephanie

i have a silly question… If a coupons says it expires 2/28 can you actually use it on the day it expires? Thanks!

    • lauram

      yes

  47. Doa

I just attempted my first MAJOR CVS purchase thanks to you!! However, I think I made a mistake, well the register did, the men’s Dove body wash rang up at $3.00 rather than the advertised $4.99. I have the right bottle, size, and it was even labeled correct, but I didn’t get my $5 ECB. So I’m wondering what you would recommend I do, since I didn’t catch the mistake till I got home. I am happy with the $9 I spent on 2 boxes cereal, 1 mouth wash, 1 toothpaste, 2 AXE deodorant, 1 body wash, and 1 dove shampoo. But you know $5 goes a long way 🙂 You have no idea how much your blog has encouraged me 🙂

    • mel

what does the bottom of your receipt say? If the dove counted, it will tell you how much you earned towards the reward, say its $12.99 then you need to buy something for 2.01 to get the $5 buck.

      • Doa

I ended up giving them a call this morning, and they explained it to me. Thanks Mel for your response, I need to spend just $1.02, so I think I might just do the Dove men’s body wash again, if it rings up at $3 then it will be the best deal with my $1/1 coupon. Thanks again.
