I was very disappointed with Modnique last time they offered the bamboo so cheap. I bought one of the cutting boards, and when I received it, part of the cutting board had been sawed off. When I called them the offered to return my money (it was like $1.95) but I wouldn’t get any of my credits back. I figured for $1.95, I could use the broken cutting board LOL.

Im wondering if it is just the quality of the core stuff, I got a napkin holder and it broke within like 30 days but since it was only $2 i didnt bother trying to get another one. Im trying them again I got a mortar and pestal if this one breaks/cracks then I think I will stay away from Core Bamboo…
I was also disappointed with this company. I ordered the 3 cutting board combo. The large board arrived broken. I called and all they would do is refund my $2.95 and let me keep the remaining boards – I lost the $5 credit I had. The first time I used the medium sized board it broke.

I used the code on another item. It worked and my cart showed $5.95 at checkout. Then, I got an email saying I was charged $15.95. I tried to contact customer service, but they told me the code was only for Bamboo items. I am wondering why the code applied for me and showed in my cart. Also, why is customer service saying the code is only for Bamboo items, when in the the comments here, the Modnique representative said it would apply to some other items!
I think it only works for SOME other things on the site. I tried to use it for a new yoga mat, and it brought up a message that said the code would only work for the core bamboo and other SELECT products. I was bummed, but ended up getting a cutting board instead 🙂

The buysafe Guarantee is paid for and provided by Modnique. It’s not a subscription, and you owe nothing. So no worries there. But it is a tad bit laughable that the guarantee is only good for 30 days from the date of purchase…… which would be today. Yet my estimated delivery from Modnique is March 31st- April 11th. If it comes the 11th, the guarantee is worth nothing. Seems like a false guarantee to me.

Just so you guys know, I ordered a bamboo cuttingboard from them the last time this deal came around- it arrived in two pieces. I had to pay almost $11 to send it back, and while they refunded me my money and the shipping fee, they didn’t credit me back my $5 sign up credit. It wasn’t a great experience 🙁

When you posted it in Jan I did it but when I got to the check out I didn’t realize the $5 credit didn’t go towards the purchase automatically so I had to cancel my order because I wanted the $5 off but customer support said they couldn’t add it after the order was finalized. Long story short I used my $5 credit from last time and bought the 3 cutting boards I wanted for $8.95!!!

Did you wash it in a hot dishwasher? I made that mistake with a bamboo cutting board we had,,, split it right down the middle. Didn’t realize I had to handwash it..yikes!! 🙂
All Bamboo and Wooden utensils and cutting boards should be washed in warm soapy water. My hubbies granny says never use soap, as it will cause it to splinter. She never washer her rolling pin, only rinses it in water. They are not dishwasher safe.
Nope. My dishwasher hasn’t been working for a while so we’ve been hand washing everything.
