Alright, so I just want to update you all on the Walmart coupon policy saga! I don’t exactly know where my brain was last night when I posted the Walmart deals… but I didn’t take the time to read through the policy to see that Walmart again made new updates to their policy on 3/16. I am so sorry for all the confusion as I posted last night that Walmart accepts Register Rewards – well, that is actually not the case. In their revised policy they now state that they will NOT accept “Checkout (Catalina) coupons with Dollars/cents off the entire basket purchase or Percentage off the entire basket purchase.” Which means Walgreens Register Rewards will not be accepted.

Again, sorry for all the confusion. And to be quite honest, I am still confused! 😉

(Thanks, Alex and Robin!)

Looks like they revised they “price match” policy also.. so even w/out taking RR between the clear coupon policy & clear price match policy… should still be worth shopping the mega giant! =)

I just want to say that I really like my local walmart for the most part. I have had very few problems with them and its nice to only have to go to one store most of the time to get all the deals. The cashiers are kind and helpful and have never had a problem taking my coupons. Also, I just tried using RR about a week ago and they took them fine. I asked the cashier to call the CSM over so that I could ask him about it and he said they did (i’m not sure if it has changed now) – he had the cashier just take the amount off one of my purchases. Ex – I bought a huge thing of paper plates for 4.00 (idk if thats a good deal, but I needed them) and I had a $3 RR so she just “price matched” the plates for 1.00 – a little weird but it worked for me. I will be contacting my local Walmart to see if this has changed. Thanks everyone for your comments. I would guess that it really doesn’t matter what the corporate policy says, its just a store to store basis. Good luck to everyone.

This is the way I do Walmart. I only go to the cashiers , who have been there a long time and make friends with them. They know what they are doing. I do a lot of price matching and use coupons. I priced matched kroger’s powerade 49cents a bottle and had 75 cents off 2. I got 24 powerades for 3.36!!! She had to over ride the register everytime she put the coupon in. Also make friends with cashiers at walgreens!!! I call them my playground. I LOVE that place. They will tell me the clearance stuff and what is coming up next on sale. I have made some really good friendships with them. We will give each other coupons and meet for coffee.

I always thought wm taking rr would be short lived. At any rate I saw a few comments that got me so miffed I just stopped reading. Let me just say this…
I buy 12 to 15 papers a week sometimes and in a super deal situatuon yep ill clear a shelf with no hard feelings. Know why? Because I can just like anyone else can. Fact is the store should be better prepared in this case and plan ahead with extra stock. They know what coupons are coming out before we do. Thats proven by many sunday paper circulers. I shop mainly with my stamps once a month because I choose to set aside one day for major grocery shopping rather than several days in a month. Thats my perogitive. Finally, to the person with the rr for tv claim. If that much was in fact saved then I say kudos. I doubt the truth in ut but even so, who is anyone here to critisize? They are her rr, she earned them she can spend them hiw she likes. If ya dont like the fact some of us put in the little extra time and get to the stores before you then might I suggest upping the time you choose to shop or taking it up with the store manager who was ill prepared for the sale? Cuz see im gonna continue to shop how I choose to with my time and money regardless of how much you fuss. I see so much belly aching on these coupon sites and its really getting old. Collen does most if the work making it easy as click,, choose, print, follow the list and save! Maybe those of you who gripe so much can find something more fitting to occupy ur time. Sorry Collin but some people really work my nerves.

I agree!! You and other bloggers do the legwork and we reap the benefits from your work! Lucky US!! that you do all that you do w/3 little kids!! The mere fact that anyone would have something ugly to say or complain is just plain nasty!! Let them do their own legwork, save hundreds less than they are now and SHUT UP!!
We love you and all you do to help us save $$ and mostly TIME that we can spend on our families. THANK YOU COLLIN FROM ARKANSAS!!!!!!!

I was able to use a RR from Walgreens at Walmart in Arkansas.

Just to let you know I emailed Walmart Coporate and asked about them taking register rewards from Wags ( I also attached a copy of one) and they emailed me back saying their general policy is to take a manufactor coupon with a valid expiration, remitt adress, and scan able bar code. RR have all that. I asked for clarification because that is how I read it as well and the confirmed it with email, however said it is up to a salaried manager to not accept.

I have tried to gain access to the Pedigree $2/1 coupon for the snacks – I even used the zip code that was recommended and I was still not able to find it. Any suggestions?

BUT…. For all those that are a military ID card holder… I did indeed go in person and speak with DeCa today … and Commissaries on all Bases except them… But the verbiage must read….
“redeemable at” not “remdeemable only at”… and there is not limit. I apologize if not all reading this can take advantage of this opportunity… but from those Military/Military spouses out there take advantage of it because the price of your service is truly priceless!

I’m so confused. I’ve gone to Walmart to coupon shop and ad match shop and have problems everytime. I take a Walgreens or Rite-Aid ad with me and when I buy something thats in there ad, lets say Pro-Glide razors. There ad says $9.99 – $5.00 (RR or Up Rewards) – $4.00 manufacture coupon with final price of $ .99 cents. Yet the cashier tells me they dont give the RR or Up Rewards. Yet the ad match policy states they match any in-ad price. What price should I be getting the item for.

    • tanya

You would be able to pricematch the $9.99 and if you had the $4 man coupon, you would get it for $5.99 final cost. They are not suppose to do the after register rewards price.
