Heads up for vegetarians-don’t waste your time here. Menu is very limited & choices are slim.
Yeah, found that out the hard way. Went there one night for dinner with my husband couldn’t find any entree without meat. I asked if I could get the mac & cheese w/o bacon and was told no. Reminded me of how little cooking is done in some of the chain restaurants. Guess they just get a big vat of it and heat it up when ordered.
Thanks for the warning! I’m a vegetarian and it’s especially hard living in Oklahoma!
Maybe get a manager involved on your next visit. You would actually be very surprised at how much cooking is actually done in the restaurant. I have worked with the company for 14 years now and the reason there is so little attention paid to a vegetarian friendly menu is because there is so little demand for it. I can tell you that I might have one customer per month ask about vegetarian options and that would be be a very generous guess for how often it happens. Subtracting the meat from many entrees is definitely something that can be done and isn’t a problem at all. You probably do need to be careful with some of our bases, ie the brocc soup, but getting a salad or pasta dish made vegetarian shouldn’t be that difficult. I remember when the mac n cheese was on the menu, it is no longer, and it could have definitely been made without the bacon which was sprinkled on the pasta and put under the broiler as the final cooking step. Unfortunately, not all of our servers care to be informed of things like this and they just don’t know so they say no.

If you’re going to use this coupon PLEASE!!!!!!! make sure you tip your server (as long as they were a good server) on the total BEFORE the coupon!!!! I was a manager at Friday’s for two years and nothing hurts the servers more than these coupons. They make less than $3 an hour and DEPEND on your tips to survive. When these roll around, suddenly they’re working twice as hard for about 50% of what they were making. And one more thing – I’m sure all the servers will appreciate this – 10-15% is not considered a good tip.
Great tip! (no pun intended!) I’ve never been a server, but I’m appalled by the stories my students tell about getting $1 and $2 tips from a $40+ bill. If you cannot afford to tip properly, you shouldn’t be going out to eat!!
