  1. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My RA informed me today that there will be no more combining RA coupons with man. coupons starting tomorrow. Anyone know if this is true or not???

    • Melody

I just double-checked the ad scan for tomorrow and there are a few in-ad coupons that specifically state “additional coupon savings in sunday’s paper” or something along those lines. Specifically, the Claritin in-ad coupon and the Opti-Free.

I have not heard this new change and their coupon policy surely doesn’t reflect it. If you have trouble for any reason, I would just point out the wording in the ad that clearly states you CAN use them together!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I work at Rite Aid, and have not heard this. Last we were told was to take pretty much any coupon.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Rite Aid is now supposed to have a zero tolerance policy for mgrs not taking coupons. My store has even taken pathmark coupons just to not upset the customer.

      • Ria

Wow I hope that’s true! There are only 2 RAs in my town, and I used to always go to the one closest to me. I stopped going there as often because both cashiers/supervisors would scrutinize the coupons and items I have, and they do not take coupons that beep, nor do they adjust down coupons. They even ask to see my ID when I use VV q’s. Ridiculous, lol.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Coupons cannot be adjusted down, the rest of that they do is dumb. You should call the distract manager to complain

          • Ria

As per RA’s coupon policy https://content.riteaid.com/stores/CustomerCouponAcceptancePolicyAugust2010.pdf
they are supposed to adjust coupons down if the item’s selling price is less than that of the coupon, but most cashiers and supervisors don’t know about this. Only some cashiers at the only CVS in town do, so I usually redeem the usual Gain dish or Dawn’s coupons there instead. Anyhow I shouldn’t be complaining! The other RA taxes after coupons, so my OOP is a lot lower and that helps so much. =)

          • where's the deal

I don’t know what you mean by coupons can’t be adjusted down, RA’s coupon policy states:

In the event that any item’s selling price is less than the value of the coupon, Rite Aid will accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the item. Coupon redemption can never exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is allowed.

This means that the coupon will be adjusted to the selling price – IE adjusted down.

            • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

RA’s coupon policy says a lot of things that aren’t followed. If a coupon is for $2, then $2 will be taken off the total. You cannot change the price of a coupon.

          • Amber

My rite aid adjusts down coupons. I am quite sure it is in their policy.

            • where's the deal

They can manually enter the coupon instead of scanning it. I always point it out if the coupon is more than the price of the item and they just manually enter it – and then they thank me for being honest and pointing it out to them – per their policy.

Oh and also – that is why I always have the coupon policy with me. So as far as “their policy says a lot of things that aren’t followed” you should show them their own policy and if they still don’t follow it you should call Corporate, and the District Manager.

    • Nina

I know my RA is sometimes difficult to deal with regarding coupons. Last week I couldn’t get the Spray N Wash because it beeped. They won’t allow any coupons that beep.

  2. anom

does rite aid take target manu. coupons?????????///

    • Collin

It will likely depend on the cashier/manager. Despite the fact that it is a manufacturer coupon, some cashiers are hesitant to accept any coupon with another store’s logo.

      • Melissa

I just printed the Revlon Beauty tool coupon and it does not print with the Target Logo!!

  3. cathy

I can’t find the $2 revlon tool coupon. Is it gone?

    • Jenna

It’s still there. I selected the beauty section of the coupons and it was on the 2nd page 🙂

      • Melissa M.

i can’t find it either. what is it specifically called?

  4. Mitch

The Mucinex deal is the only thing that looks good.
With the new Allegra though there are some great deals everywhere, it is cheaper for me now then when it was a prescritpion.
    thanks,
    http://www.gaynycdad.com

  5. Teresa

The Wonderful Pistachios for $2 off (on recycle bank) is for 10oz or larger, it will not work in the scenario because it is 8oz bags that are 2/$5

    • Collin

      Thanks for letting me know….darn!

      • mandee

but will work at walgreens they are 16 oz.

      • kelly

I have some that I printed off Coupons.com that are $1 off one 8oz pkg, so the deal does work for me! 🙂 (I have had them for awhile so they may no longer be available)

  6. Nicole

kind of confused about the survey coupon… If i get 4 different surveys in a month and try to use all of them in the same month it wont let me use the 4th? I think I have already used 3 this month and was going to use another one today, but haven’t yet.. I can’t find any terms saying I cant use them?

    • Susan

You can use as many as you want each month….I have found no limit in using them with my card. I have, however, found a limit in completing them online. After about 6, the survey states I can’t complete anymore that month. When that happens, I just send the receipts with my husband to work, and he does them on his work computer until we get the same message. They still work with my card, though!

      • Melissa M.

I was told that if you clear the cookies on your internet setting on your computer you should be able to enter/print more. I may have already done more than 6 but I am not sure. Try it, see if it works.

        • Jill C.

That is what I have done. Cleared browsing history and cookies and I have been able to do more. I asked at the store if there was a limit, and she had no clue. Told me it wouldn’t hurt to print more and try it, so I did. No harm done.

        • Tracy

Thanks for the info. Just tried it and now entered 2 more for a total of 5 this month!!!

  7. Misty

anyone know if the Lays, Combos will produce a $1 up reward this week?

    • brittany f

Is their to be a monthly up? their was one in the past but none that I am aware of now

  9. Erin

Does anyone know if you have to buy a full size Nexxus product to get the Tangled deal, or can you buy a travel size?

    • Melody

Sorry if this is a duplicate, my comments don’t seem to be showing up?

It does say trial/travel sizes excluded in the ad. There is a $3/1 Nexxus ProMend VV coupon for April and after the 20% discount on Nexxus, looks like the ProMend starts around $8.71. After the VV coupon and +UP Reward, you would pay around $16 for both the Nexxus and DVD!

    • Collin

I was wondering the same thing Erin! The ad is a little confusing as it states “$10 +Up Reward when you buy one Nexxus Item and the Tangled DVD for $19.99″…the ad then states “Nexxus Hair Care (excludes trial size) 20% Off Regular Retail”. I am thinking that you could indeed purchase a trial-size Nexxus item and get the $10 Reward (the trial size item just would not be 20% off). If anyone tries this tomorrow, please keep us updated. 😀

      • Melissa

Gonna have to wait til Tuesday to try it, it won’t be avail til the 29th 🙂

        • Collin

Woops…that’s right. I am getting a little ahead of myself…thanks for pointing out that it is not released until Tuesday.

  10. Jaime

There is a $1.00 video value for the Air Wick Freshmatic Kits

    • Steph

I am wondering the sane thing?!

  13. susanna

Got a deal: the ok magazine had that orbit gum for free coupon and now it is BOGO at rite aid.I think maybe you could buy two and use the coupon for the one you don’t get free to get two packs of gum free.

    • mimi-coolchick

You are correct. I did this the other week at Walgreens on deodrant. 🙂

  14. Carmen

On the cetaphil deal there is a $2.00 off any cetaphil product in the Family Circle Magazine this month. For anyone that gets that magazine.

    • Susan

I did get the mag. I haven’t even looked at it yet but we use cetaphil so thanks for the tip! I am gonna go look for it.

    • Felicia

on the cetephil website you can get a 5$ off coupon (maybe 5$ off 2, I forgot) for a certain cetephil lotion/wash, but my cashiers have taken it for the cheap face washes. Good to try if you have awesome cashiers!

    • Julie

There is also a $2 one in the Good Housekeeping last month and this month.

  15. charla

carefree ultra coupon is out of prints.

    • Jenn

Thanks for posting this deal scenario Mike! At almost a quarter a can, this is my stock up price for wet cat food. Fortunately, my cats can switch back and forth from Fancy Feast to Friskies with no trouble, so I rarely pay more than this for their food.

There is also a $1.00 March video value for the Airwick Freshmatic Kit.

  19. Diana J

There is a new rite aid memo that states no more that 4 like coupons can be used in a single transaction. I talked to my rite aid’s DM about it yesterday. Also for
Lysol All Purpose Cleaner 40 oz. or Trigger 32 oz., Bathroom and Bowl Cleaner 24 oz., Kitchen Cleaner 22 oz., or Neutra Air Fabric Mist 17 oz. 2/$5; Lysol Disinfectant Spray 12.5 oz. 2/$7
    Deal Scenario:
Buy 6 Lysol Neutra Air Fabric Mist 2/$7
    Total = $15
Use 6 $1/1 coupons from the 3/20 SS or found here (click on “Special offers” tab – login or register)
Use the $1/1 coupon from the April Video Values
    Pay $8
Get a $5 +Up Reward when you buy $15 of Lysol, Airwick, or Finish Products
    Final Cost $0.50 each!

The 2/$7 needs to be 2/$5 to equal $15, just a heads up

    • Heather

It is more of a suggestion then a rule… but I’m sure most stores will be enforcing it. Its because the manufacturers are starting to refuse to credit coupons, when the same coupon is used in bulk, so it ends up being a direct loss to the store.

      • Diana J

Well they said they were trying to fight it but they were going to try and enforce it because they have been taking a loss with fraudulent coupons and people who own mom and pop stores(as he put it) clearing their shelves to use it as their own stock and just paying the tax. Dm said CVS having lots of problems as well. He said that it is the manufactures that are refusing to reimburse for more than four coupons in a single transaction. But now that a lot of the deals are tracking it won’t be so bad.

        • Wendi

          Are you sure this isn’t just for P & G Q’s? Most P & G Q’s state “Limit 4 per transaction.”

          • Diana J

No memo stated all Q’s the rite aid i go to said they are fighinting it and some are still doing as they please. It is all over SD

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

BS the manufacturer has no way of knowing how many coupons are redeemed in one transaction. Coupons ae always redeemed in bulk by the store, do you think they send them in one at a time?

        • Heather

I’m pretty sure they do know. I mean, how else would they know if a coupon was used on the item stated or not? It has to go through our system for us to get credit, if the coupon is keyed in by the cashier we actually do not get credit for the coupon, thats why we try to not key them in and want to scan them all.

It is the manuf who are refusing to reimburse the company for coupons used in bulk, because it is considered coupon fraud.

And yes, we do have a few people who come into my store and clear the shelves, only to sell the products at their own private store. Its very frustrating.

        • Diana J

This came straight from DM. It is a memo that went out.

    • Christine

When they say no more than 4 like coupons, does anyone know the exact details. For example, if I used a combination of IPs and regular coupons, would they be considered the same because they are the same value, or are they only refusing more than 4 of the exact same coupon (i.e. can’t use 6 SS coupons or 6 IPs, but could use 3 SS and 3 IPs?)

  20. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

What I plan on doing for finish products (I love these!):
    Buy 2 Quatamatics (2 for $10.99)
Buy 2 boxes of tabs (2 for $6.79)
    Total $17.78
Use $1 off from VV (March)
    Use 2 $3 off printables
    Use 2 $1 off printables
    Total $8.78
    Get back $5
Total $3.78 for $35.56 worth of products!
    Hope this helps someone!

    • Behki

i LOVE finish as well and am on my last box!! thanks! 🙂

    • cathy

where do you get the $3 printable for the Quatamatics?

    • Marnee

If you guys got the big lots ad, the quatamatics are advertised for $3, so I’m gonna price match at walmart and us my $3 off manf. coupon to get these free.

      • cd

My walmart says they don’t match big lots prices. or things like save-a lot or the other discount/closeout type stores. I’d def. still try it, just wanted to give you a heads up.

    • Valerie

Don’t forget to use the $3 off $15 from your survey; if you have one. This would make it even cheaper!

  21. Heather

At my store there is an entire section of $.99 cards and the coupon in the paper doesnt state a price limit, so thats 3 for free!

    • Susan

Hi! I know it’s really easy to overlook fine print on coupons but the american greetings one excludes the .99c cards. 🙂

      • Karissa

The manufacturer’s coupon excludes $.99 cards but the in-ad Rite Aid coupon does not. So, you can just get three $.99 cards, use the coupon from the Rite Aid ad, forget about the manufacturer’s coupon and call it good!

        • Heather

Yep! I just didnt bother with the AG coupon on-line. I liked the .99 cards! Plus, its just a card… no need for the fancy ones, right?

          • Susan

Heather, I’m glad you found a way to make it work for you! Saving money is so much fun isn’t it?

  22. Heather

Does anyone know if I can do the Finish deal and the Air Wick deal and get the up reward for both? I’d like both of these things but I don’t know if the up rewards are limited. Thanks!

    • fairys5

no limit, it states FOR USE ON YOUR NEXT PURCHASE +UP REWARD WILL PRINT ON YOUR RECIEPT. HOPE THAT HELPS

  23. fairys5

COLLIN, There is a $3.00 off any John frieda STYLING PRODUCT on rite aid website to print. IT EXPIRES TOMORROW 3/27/11. IT’S CODED A “49”. I was wrong in thinking all 3 could be used, sorry

  24. fairys5

If you snagged that free sample NEXXUS, it came with a $3.00 off coupon

    • Misty

There is also a $3.00 off Nexxus Pro Mend item coupon from the video values. Could we use both for the Tangled offer?

  25. emily

Does anyone have a amazon coupon code that they’re not using? I am trying to help my sister who is layed off at the present time and is getting ready to have her fourth baby. I would really appreciate it….strap82@yahoo.com

  26. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

does anyone have the direct link to the finish $1 off coupons? when i click on the link, it takes me to a “satifaction” refund on the quantum, but i dont see coupons

  27. Tera

I went to Rite Aid today and was only allowed to use 4 of the bogo trident gum. The manager told me that this was their new policy so I researched and found this info. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up.:)

A memorandum was sent to each store yesterday in regards to a new policy in effect immediately. You will no longer be able to use more than 4 like coupons per shopping trip. The way I understood is that even separating transaction you will not be able to use more than 4.

There was also a paragraph about gang cut coupons. These are coupons which are cut together in masses. They all have the same cut marks and normally using a paper cutter the coupons will fan out. If a store receives more than 50 of these coupons, the manufacturer feels that it is fraud and is no longer reimbursing Rite Aid and probably not other stores either.

So what is the reasoning behind the limit of 4. I told the employees last night that I am guessing that it’s because of the P&G coupons. They weren’t aware that they read “Limit 4 like coupons per shopping trip.” I think that Rite Aid is trying to make it easier on their employees so that they don’t have to know if it’s a P&G. If they only accept 4 then they will always be within that limit.

Please be sure that you are adhering to this policy. If you are purchasing coupons from a clipping service, there is a good chance your coupons are “gang cut”. My advisement would be to cut the excess off of the coupons or try to visit several stores versus remitting them all at one.

    • fairys5

As far as I know the manufacturer CANNOT do that, they are making stuff up again. They have read outs (print outs) of sales, coupons, store coupons, charges, returns, price adjustments..damages..loss prevention, bottle deposit…everything, exc….These must match when balancing the drawer. The manufacturer can require your location to verify they had the STOCK to satisfy (match) the coupons used, or refuse to refund the stock they cannot prove. THEY rarely do this, and have no way of knowing numbers per customer. Thow it seems to many get used because we know what we use, Most people never touch a coupon and billions go unclaimed and in the trash. You probably even know at least 10 or more people who will give you the inserts and more that don’t even get the paper. I am in nooo way attacking or directing this at you, i fully believe what you wrote. My background is store management, and office manag. I am just responding to this crazyness that keeps being told to us customers

      • Tera

No No I understand.I agree with the what you are saying. It makes sense to me “gang cut” that just seems a little ridiculous. I have to say it was already upsetting that they would take only 4 of my bogo trident coupons.I understand why they do put some limits on things, but seriously I hate the way some cashiers behave about. She gave me a dirty look asked what I was going to do with the gum,,she made a reference,”what are you the gum lady of the neighborhood” I am not one to clean out everything but if there is enough of something I will take what I feel is fair. I have been recently laid off and my daughters is kinda of a gum freak She is 11..lol So I wanted to suprise her in her easter baskets with tons of gum, which half of it she will usually give a way, but seriously what does it matter to them. Now that I use coupons I am spending more at the drugstores then I ever would. I even go there now to buy items that I need that I may not have a coupon for. I just wish they would understand that coupons are bringing them business that they would prob have never had before. Why be so rude to us couponers!

        • Amber

What has this world come to? We actually have to explain to cashiers why we are purchasing products? Can’t wait til the KY deals come up again and a cashier asks, “What are you going to do with all that KY?”

          • fairys5

Hahaha, say the most perverted nastiest thing….watch their face!!! My husband will..he’ll be like…”you asked”. LOL

        • fairys5

Love it, it’s like you are me, ha, except my gum freak daughter is 8. Two boys too, I hide mine. I did the trident stack at target today. Easter is to close and jumping all over those deals. Seriously…gum though dont they usually have it coming out of the cracks in stores. It really is crazy how many employees feel they can make rude comments. Last I checked they had brains to save for themselves. Jealous. My fav rite aid chick started to ask me how to. She works there, they don’t teach u now I know the employees haven’t even been taught properly. I share too and I’m disabled. So I get the one income….oh boy do I. I wish I had known all this before, cuz I rarely shopped in the drug stores. 2 months in and I have been treated like a criminal and i’m spending more in a month than in a year now. So I am you, hahaha. I always went target….man did I throw some serious cash away, no more. I now show everyone. Even in the store, gave $13 coupons today. Saved $76 in coupons. Had first nasty empl and prob at target. At service desk today, and a lady yelled at him. I told my husband watch when it involves coupons, the mobile reversed(added). Register woudnt give cash bk. He snapped. Gave me gift card for my cash and cash for the coupons. Awkward. For the first time he got to see it…I was glad. Yep because it validated I wasn’t the one with the problem. How sad is that?

          • TERA

Lol Yes I try to hide mine too but smehow they always find it. My son has braces too and I swear even though he is not allowed to have gum I wil find him smacking away and then I look at him and he has realized he is busted. I think his sister sells him hers hahahah. Serious. I spend more now at the drugstores in a month then I have in the last 5 years!! I have even been kicked out of one walgreens because I was “stealing”when I got some items for free. He yelled at me and even told me he was gonna call he cops on me. I couldn’t beleive. I did call corporate but I just avoid that wags now. The funniest part about rite aid is that the lady who gives me a hard time is the cutest little old lady..like prob in her 70’s, She lookslike she belongs in a disney cartoon, and when she is so rude o me its in her sweet little voice so I am always thrown off a little bit when I leave.. I am thinkingto myself was she just rude to me and let me say the answer is YES.I deal with her on a weekly basis, one time she even made a comment to me stating” I wish I could just sit at home and collect unemployment and get free stuff and not do anything! WOW!! Right.. but I know who I am and I know why I have been laid off and def DO NOT sit at home. I have to say I have worked all of my childrens lives and the last 4 months of being a stay at home mom is INSANE! It is hard work to stay at home! and it is hard work to be a coupon lady and save all this money. My husband is so funny he gets all protective and tells me, “You want me to handle it!” I just tell him thanks for being so protective of me, but after all is said and done LOOK!! what deals I scored today! That makes all the hassle worth it. Well sometimes 🙂

            • TERA

Sorry for the typos. My mind works faster then my fingers 🙂

            • fairys5

HA, I love it. You are me, I am you…seriously. You picked my brain and its crazy. I deal with an oldy who practically has a magnafine glass!!!haha. Walgreens cop threats too. Or trying to steal a bogo by doubling!!!ha. That was the man today “IS THERE A PROBLEM”…and the guy changed so fast I thought he pissed himself…he just snapped at me, then yelled at the lady.who stuck up for me, and yet a man steps in and theres NO problem!!! I laughed at ur comments though not really funny it’s like they are having rehersal classes and the jokes on us :). I feel like i’ve known you..hahaha i’m liking writing you, lol. By the way…laughed hard about the gum, my teen sells his for 50cents a piece. Where’s my cut, haha. Daughter…she pulls it out the string of it…hair stuck . You catch her…she says “no” as its in the hair, drops on floor or chokes cuz she tried to suck it back in to fast and its stuck to her fingers 🙂 And I pray to get better to work again. Luv kids but I need a vacation 🙂 shame on comments of not working…i would treat customers like tjey hit the jackpot, hahaha

      • cathy

The manufact. can and do limit repay to the stores. Stores have signed agreements with the Manuf. about how coupon repayment will happen. As a store manager, you may not have seen it. The agreement was likely signed at the corporate level. I worked at a redeemation center for years. I worked on the systems that calculated when a store should be looked at for fraud.

RA doesn’t need to lie or make things up to customers. They only need to say, “This is our new policy.”

      • Kiesha

@fairys5 I guess in your prior positions you never read a manufacturer’s coupon redemption agreement. They are available on the internet, you might be very interested to read one. They can “do that” and way more!

    • Tiffany

I went to one of my rite aids in town at 8:00 AM and I used 15 of the bogo coupons for the trident.. although not all were the same coupon…. some where from a tear pad and some were from the SS. I went to my other Rite Aid which I like to call the inventory nazi’s. They don’t like to order inventory and love to place limits or hassle you when you buy more then one item of the same item at a time. I had read about the change in polcy on a few blogs and message boards but no one said anything at the other rite aid. At the inventory nazi story they made sure to let me know about the new limit 4 of the same coupon limit so there must be some truth to this policy change.

  28. fairys5

collin, I have noticed often that if a coupon is in the add for the week and expires in that week, it is often on rite aid website to print and expires at a later date. This is great because another sale or better sale may hit. If I buy that product, I try to make sure I print one just in case. example; instead of using the $1 V.V. for the john frieda in the example, print the $3 off website that expires 3/27/11 to use with the $2 manu. That 3.00 was in the add I think 2weeks ago. The Mitchum is still good 3/27/11 $2. That was also in the add few weeks ago

    • Judith

where on the website is the $3 John Frieda Coupon?

also the VideoValue Coupon for John Frieda counts towards the Hair Care Bonus, so I was not able to print it… 🙁

      • fairys5

CLick on in our stores, then click clip and save 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      great fyi thanks!

  29. Lynda

don’t forget to use your 5.00 off coupon for the movie tangled. just when in to my local rite aid and they said they have them in stock but can’t sell them until tuesday…..

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Does anyone know if the combo’s are on a $1 up reward? Or what the food rewards are this month that aren’t advertised. Although one dollar on the combos is a good deal, free is better.
      Thanks

    • Melissa

The $5 coupon is for the 4-disc DVD set, which is more expensive than the single disc that RA is advertising.

  30. Melissa

I think I may just take this week at Rite Aid off… there is a new man. at my Rite Aid and I swear she is ANTI-COUPONS…. EVERYTHING is a big deal to her…UGG…. 🙁

    http://www.howtosaveabucktoday.blogspot.com

  31. Cann

I CANNOT find the tums vv $1 off coupon! Which video group is it under? When I go to view all offers it automatically goes to april. Help!

  32. Nicole

I’m curious about this John Frieda monthly deal. Anyone have a clue if there is a limit for this? I’d like to get the pore strips this week but the frizz ease line will be on sale starting 4/10 I believe.

    • Beth

I just tried this and it DIDN’T work. I did the scenario just like Collin outlined above and the +UPs didn’t print. I’m very disappointed because RA won’t give +UPs back anymore and I know customer service won’t help because they don’t give the +UPs for unadvertised deals. 🙁

      • Nicole

Yea I sometimes question the unadvertised deals. Not because of credibility but because of how regional some deals tend to be. I will be passing on this deal until the week of 4/10 when it’s in the ad. That sucks though, I would have liked to stock up on some pore strips!

      • esg1227

I just got home from Riteaid and purchased $26 in John Frieda (before coupons) and also didn’t get any plus Ups for that, now I gotta return it all and lose my coupons 🙁 Sucks. Also, the Neutragena facial bars are $4.99, so not as cheap as the deal scenario above..

      • Whitney

I did this deal this morning also (Seattle, WA) and no $10 UP either. If I didn’t have so much other stuff on my receipt, I might consider returning it. I guess it cost me $10 to learn this lesson. I’ll be doing unadvertised deals separately from now on just in case. Good luck – I hope if you call them they can give you some options that might help, like an exchange.

      • Elena

The John Frieda/Biore Deal does not start until 3/30 🙂

        • Nina

I also tried and it didn’t work. So disappointing! I don’t think I’ll try another unadvertised deal this expensive again.

      • Ramona

Tried it here in PA in a single transaction and it didn’t work. Before the cashier could even bag it up I returned it. I’m one of the lucky ones to have great people working at my RA and they gave me back my coupons! I’m bummed it didn’t work, what a grea deal for great product!

    • Collin

I am sorry that this unadvertised deal does not seem to be working for any of you. It was emailed to me by a reader in California so it may be that it is a regional offer? I am so sorry for the confusion.

      • where's the deal

Seems to be a monthly deal that will start on 3/30. Someone’s store had a display that stated it started 3/27 (maybe S. California because their ad dates are different) but others signs say it starts 3/30.

      • Ria

Probably not regional, deal didn’t work here in Norcal. Agreed, never doing unadvertised deals again haha. But good thing my OOP was only $5.xx and I’m going to use the Biore nose strips and JF glossing mist. 🙂

      • Rachel

Didn’t work for me in Sacramento today.

  33. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

i have a $5 revlon coupon that was print out from Target. Does anyone know if RA accepts that? Thanks.

  34. Ellie

Does anyone know what triggers the $2 up reward on the old spice items? I don’t need the bodywash, and only want to buy the deodorant. Will this work? And if so, how many do I have to buy?

    • Felicia

I bought 2 old spice deodorants using 1$ off two old spice products and I got the 2+ reward. I paired it with a buy an old spice deodorant get a body wash free. so, I pair 2$ for all of it, and since I had a ton of overage on my revoln deal, it made it free.

Is there a reason that coupons arent listed with the aveeno deal? Just wondering… I’d like to buy this but would still like the ups and I’m confused because there are new coupons in this Sun paper and I have others that expire today. Could some one help me out? Thanks!

  36. mimi-coolchick

My receipt doesn’t have a 16 digit code on it. Where is it found?

    • Nicole

Not all of them do. I believe it’s at random. At least it is from my experience.

  37. Erin

Can we use the $2 off $10 Clean Home Bonus VV on the Lysol buy $15 get $5 UPR deal?

    • Erin

I see now it says “cannot be combined with any other offers” So, I’m assuming that I can’t use it?

      • Nicole

You can use it. It’s a bonus coupon that comes off your price out of pocket. That will not affect your up+ reward for the Lysol deal.

        • Erin

Thanks! Should I give it to the cashier before the Lysol coupons or after? Or, doesn’t it matter?

          • Nicole

It doesn’t really matter other than you may not reach the $10 requirement after she scans your lysol coupons. So that’s why I typically give $ off $ purchase coupons first- prior to any other coupons

            • Melissa

Coupons have nothing to do with purchase based requirements, they are forms of payment. You just need to hit $15 before tax.

Does anyone know if the Freida/Biore deal is for the month of April? Or for this month?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I am wondering the same thing. I just did the deal and the $10 UP did not print. 🙁

  39. liz

i let 11 ups expire yesterdat what can I do now?? will they take them or will rite aid send me new ones its just a day??

    • Jody

I let that happen a few weeks back. I went into the store the next day, put all my items in the cart and when I got to the cashier, I asked him about them and if there was any way at all that he could take them. I really do not think they are supposed to, but he did for me. He just had to put them in manually as they would not scan due to being expired. I am not for sure if corporate will reissue UPs or not. Be exceptionally nice to the cashier when you get to the counter and maybe they will take them. No matter what, just be nice and friendly about it. Kindness and friendliness seem to help out tremendously when couponing.

Does anyone know if you can buy one item and get two things free using two different B1G1 coupons? I have the buy 1 Old Spice deodorant get a bodywash free from the 2/27 P&G and I have the buy 1 Old Spice deodorant get a deodorant free from the P&G Brand Saver. So can I use both of these and only buy one deodorant and two items free?? Thanks.

    • HI

I think that thats double couponing im sure they would have you buy the two. Unlike the store bogo where u can either get both free or buy one get two free with a matching coupon.

  41. Tiff

Is the $10 up for John fredia in print anywhere? Mine did not print today 🙁

  42. Donna

I purchased the $20 Biore/John Freida and did not get my $10 UP. Since it is not advertised, is there a way I can get that $10 back post transaction?

    • Beth

The same thing happened to me. If you payed with anything but +UPs then you can get your money back, but I paid with +UPs and was told by the manager that they cannot issue refunds when you pay with +UPs. 🙁

      • Tiffany

I had talked to a gentleman with rite aid customer service because I wanted to make a return for items that I purchased with my UR’s. He said that they should reimburse you because I was concerned about this… I ended up keeping the items but because I did the biore deal today I did not get my UR’s, I think I may return those items. I am going to call customer service tomorrow and play dumb and tell them I thought it was a monthly UR deal and that I wanted to return the items but paid with UR’s… just to see if I am told the same thing.

    • Jessica K

I’ve had to do this. The store manager issued the refund via gift card.

    • Bobbie

I have returned 2 items since I have started couponing and to the same Rite Aid. The 1st time the manager gave me cash back. The 2nd time I was exchanging an item. The one I was taking out was a little less then the one I returned but the cashier said she could not give me any cash back that I could just exchange if I wanted to. So I guess it is per cashier/store.

Don’t forget there is also a SRC for $1 each for Lysol, Airwick, and Finish for the month of March, so if you combine products in the $15 purchase, you could get up to $3 extra off.

I had a Finish $1 VV but it expired yesterday. I can’t figure out how to get back to the March Video Values page to get the one from March – it’s automatically going to the April deals even though it’s still the month of March. Does anyone know how to get there or is it not possible anymore?

    • Jody

You can only view the current month VVs. If you watched it last month and have not printed it yet, it will show up under March when you click on All Rewards.

  44. Anonymous

From my experience if you didnt watch it, u can no longer once its switched but if.you earned it u can still print.

  45. jmbrown4681

The coupon for $1.00 off the finish dishwasher detergent states it is for the “Quantum”. That is not what is advertised in the ad. I only see a 0.50 coupon for the regular finish dishwasher tabs. Am I correct?????

    • Bobbie

I was wondering the same thing. All I can find is the Quantum for the $1 off coupon.

  46. Krista

Thanks Jody. I know you can only watch one month at a time, but I hadn’t watched all the March videos. I guess RA changes the monthly VV toward the end of the month and not on March 31 so we can only get April VV now?

    • Christine

They must have it programmed to automatically change the videos when the new cycle changes. I came home a little before 12a last night and tried to cram in all the videos I hadn’t watched yet. I was able to watch about 4 videos, but when I finished watching the last video, instead of the usual message popping up saying I earned my coupon, it basically said sorry, the deal isn’t available but look at these and showed the April Videos. When I looked at the clock it was exactly 12:01a. I was a little disappointed because I watched the video and thought they would at least honor the reward then tell me to look at the new ones, but oh well. Guess that’s what I get for waiting til the last minute to finish watching them.

Has anyone noticed this too? When I go to the Rite Aid near my house, not only are most of the posts Collin post not on sale, but by the end of the week, the sales that I can find that are posted by Collin are not longer in effect. Anyone have the same experience? Thanks.

    • sleahy

I know a lot of the stickers in most of the stores i go to are not posted. this includes cvs and walgreens, or by the end of the week the tags have fallen off and they dont know about it or just dont put new ones up. I always have the flyer handy to make sure i can make sure i get the right product. double check receipts if the sale price didnt show and its advertised point it out. they will adjust it and give you a refund.

    • Tiffany

You always have to get them to price check especially when you are in doubt… also keep in mind that different areas/regions of the country can have prices that vary. For example, the regular Air wick freshmatic was 13.99 regular price at my store and 6.49 with the 50% off… Just about everything collin posts is very accurate but keep in mind some deals can be regional if you do not see them in your rite aid circular… if you do not shop early in the week or the first day you may not find some of the items. Most of the time when I go in the store on sunday nothing is marked yet but by the end of the week almost everything is marked. If the items are in the sale ad for the week they should definately still be on sale until the end of the last day of the ad.

    • where's the deal

If you are in Southern California your sale dates are different. I think you sales start on Friday instead of Sunday.

    • Bobbie

I know at my Rite Aid they are short staffed (like most places these days) so all the sale tags are not usually up until tue or wed then if you go on Sat they have already started taking them down preparing for the next week. That is why I always shop with my Ad. If they are in the Ad they should ring up correctly. Hope that helps.

  48. Mel

The Trident Vitality B1G1 worked for me in NC. It wasn’t advertised but the cashier price checked it for me and it worked.

    • nati

      tridient works in Philadelphia

  49. valerie

I am in California and the John Frieda, Biore scenario did not work for me either. Also, the Airwick did not ring up at $4.99, so I didn’t proceed with the scenario.

  50. Ashley

Anyone know if th Airwick and Lysol deals are working in Northern Cal? I didn’t see anything in the ad about them.
