Awesome! Definitely passing this on to friends who have deployed spouses 🙂

It’s not working for me. Giving me an error message
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error ‘80040e57’

String or binary data would be truncated.

    /myphotosmyfamily/process.asp, line 180

ok, i tried it again. i guess the website was too busy earlier. i got my coupon code. and it didn’t give a date on when it needs to be done by.

Does anyone know how long this deal will be good for? I have too much going on today and tomorrow to get it started, but I definitely want to get one.

Creating a book for my little brother who is currently deployed in Afghanistan. My newly wed brother is going to love this…I’m making a memory book of their wedding and including some family pics. I know he’s missing his family, especially his bride.

One thing to note is that the layouts have a problem with pictures taken in portrait layout. I’ve had to delete those pics and remove them from the pages because it doesn’t really have an option to rotate. So I would suggest just using your pics that were taken in landscape mode. Good luck and thanks for this great promo!

Thanks for trying the software, Gina. There are several ways to rotate photos. Dragging the top right corner of the photo will rotate it up to 15 degrees. To rotate it 90 degrees, click the Tools menu at the top left of the photo and then click Rotate Left or Rotate Right.

You can also rotate photos immediately after you import them. For a quick walkthrough, see our video at http://www.facebook.com/RocketLife.

Thank you so much, Collin. My sister’s fiance is currently deployed; I know he’ll really appreciate one of these.

Thank you so much. I made the free book and I think it looks pretty cool. The tools are pretty easy to use, but does take a bit of time to customize the book. There are lots of options to customize your book, crop photos, etc. You can also rotate the photos, and I was able to use both vertical and horizontal photos. I actually found it easier to use than making a photobook on Shutterfly. Thanks again for sharing the link.

I just sent one to my brother. It doesn’t give a date. The photos upload super fast and it is a pretty painless process. I had to let the perfectionist in me get it done without much editing. It is now mailed! 🙂

I paid 40 cents for 2 extra pages.

Thanks for this! My husband just left for a deployment and this will be a great thing to send him- of myself and our 4 children. Do you know when the books have to be made by?

  8. Fignewtn97

Awesome, Collin- thank you for letting us know about this! I just made a book of photos of my hubby and our daughter from his R&R… what a great (and free) surprise for him!

I would have loved one of these for my husband, but the software will not load on my computer. I suspect it is too invasive for my medium security level computer settings to allow. Can’t know for sure, since I can’t get anything even vaguely resembling customer support.

I guess I will continue to make him free picasa web albums, and just pay the 5 bucks or so (with coupon) from another company for a book like this to send him. I love the USO, they are fantastic, but this offer is a real turkey.
