   we went and priced cover girl cosmetics this morning and found the single eye shadows for $3.39 each. Starting tomorrow 40% off which makes them $2.04 each. In our area (central california) we got a $2.50 off 2 covergirl cosmetic coupon so that would make them it $1.58 for 2 OR .79 cents each. Just thought I would mention in case someone else has the same coupon in their inserts. Our area is usually priced higher than most also so it may be a better deal for other locations.

   Don’t have a Rite Aid in this area, but sounds like GREAT deals.

   The reason I’m writing and it IS off topic. Just got back from 2 malls…the first AEO had moved to another mall 10 mins away. Anyways….the Aerie panties…….28c each you posted Collin? Fuggedahbout it….there was just 1 table with Aerie underwear. The panties were $7 each!!! Boxers were 2/25!!! The lucky lady who found that STEAL should pat herself on the back!!! Hope all you others have better luck at Aerie stores than I did.

    I went to RA today and I’ve never had so much trouble with them ever!! I am so fuming mad. I need your input…

    I purchased 4 Spinbrushes and used a $3 off of $15, a $1 off VV (non-prescription) and four $1 off Spinbrush coupons. The system did not want to take the last $1 Spinbrush coupon and was told by the store clerk that the store manager limited the number of coupons a person can use in a transaction in order to maintain a percentage of the original purchase price. He pretty much told me that their store implemented a new system because they did not want customers to walk out paying mere cents and saving 70-95% of the purchase price.
    1 – Is this legal? This is not stated anywhere in the corporate policy.
    2 – Can a store do this and make up their own rules or are they bound by their corporate policy?
    Also, I bought Veet strips which was priced at $5.49. I had a $3 MQ and a $3 RA in-ad coupon. The store manager told me that they cannot adjust the price of the coupon since it was less than the price of the Veet. I showed the store mgr the corporate policy and it states that – “In the event that any item’s selling price is less than the value of the coupon, Rite Aid will accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the item. Coupon redemption can never exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is allowed.” She didn’t want to budge. They used to just adjust the coupon down before and now they won’t. Aren’t they supposed to adjust the coupon down to the lower amount?
    I will have to call RA on Monday regarding this matter. Thanks in advance. Hope you guys had a better time than I did with RA today.

  thats terrible, i hope stores are not going to do that, the coupons are put out their and we choose to use them, the stores are not going to lose money because we don’t use fake ones or anything illigal so what does it matter how much we spend and how much we get for our money? One thing i can say about my store is i have never had any problems with my rite aid, they are very coupon friendly and very friendly about it, they always seem pleasently surprised to look at my reciept and then see all my up rewards 🙂 (so am i 😉 ) i don’t think anyone really shops like i do at rite aid (as in taking up rewards and coupon deals to my advantage)

  I had the same problem for the first time this week! The cashier I had is always very coupon friendly and nice to me, and she explained that they always used to be able to adjust coupons down but now they beep and the register doesn’t allow them to do that. She didn’t like it either, but couldn’t do anything about it. If enough people call corporate about this hopefully it can be changed.

  It works the same if both items are regular price. The cashier will take off the price of the 2nd item (which will be half off). For example $5 + $2.50 = $7.50. Cashier takes off $2.50, leaving you to pay $5 (or each item = $2.50)

    If you Like Nestle Family on Facebook, there is a printable $1.00 off 2 multipack that makes it so you can buy multiple cases of bottled water without having to have extra newspapers. I just printed 2, also a nestle candy coupons for $1.00 off 2,, incase there is any easter candy still on clearance.

    I have a random question…
    In what order should I give my coupons/store card?
    I have a $3 off $15 coupon from taking the online survey as well as buying everything that is on sale with the store card and my many coupons…I want to get the most bang for my buck…Do items ring up on sale or only when the store card is entered?
    For example: The old Spice deal. I am going to get 2 body washes, I have one coupon for BOGO and 1 coupon for $1 off. If the items both rang up full price then the coupon would take one full priced off and $1 off and then the store card would make the second one 50% off making the full priced body wash the free one…Is that crazy talk or does it make sense?

  You need to use your card to get the sale prices and you should give your card before they scan anything – people have reported not getting their ups if the card is scanned in the middle or end of the transaction. Order of other coupons doesn’t matter except the $3/15. Since you have to have a total of $15 you don’t want to use your coupons and get the total down under that first.

  well you have to give your store card first, or ur up rewards might not show, then for coupons the 3 for 15 ALWAYS first or if u get the 5 off 20 or what ever they have out at the time, so money off whole purchase first, then im really not sure if you used manufactur coups or store coupons next…

  In the case of RiteAid it seems to be more often that they just don’t stock enough and not so much that there are so many shelf clearers. When they only have 2 items on the shelf and you need to buy 2 items with your coupon, yes you’re clearing the shelf but only because they didn’t have enough in the first place! Was really frustrated the past couple weeks when I wanted to get $30 of the home cleaning items to get the $10 UP and they didn’t have enough product for me to get up to the $30 mark. I even when right after their delivery was made. I’ve been filling out my store surveys like crazy telling them to order more but I’m not sure they really read them. Might be better just to talk to the manager.

  If you are looking ahead on iheartriteaid.com, you can see what the specials are and ask management to order extra,, usually you have to know 2-3 weeks in advance, and give them an exact number you want to preorder.

  depends on the store. my store starts signing sat night and once they put it up, they have to honor it. the gross part is that the cashiers have to fix the prices manually so to me it would not be worth it, unless my coupons were expiring that night!

  I hate to be a bad-news-bearer – but I don’t think RA takes ANY Catalina coupons. 🙁 I’m pretty sure I tried it there once and it wouldn’t scan so they wouldn’t take it – even though it was a manufacturer’s (and not store) coupon. I thought at first maybe the cashier was just uninformed b/c it had another store’s logo on it, but they even had a manager come over to see if she’d override it and she said they couldn’t take it. Could be worth a try at your store (I’m in CO) but I just wouldn’t count on it. SO FRUSTRATING!!

    To amhale 11, I tried to use 2 $3/$15 on same day, separate transactions last week. The cashier said you can only use one per day. I said I was sorry I thought the only limit was 3 per month. As she said that to me she scanned the coupon anyways. The computer took it just fine, no beeps. So basically, how do you guys say it, you miledge may vary.

  yeah – they’re red licorice – like twizzlers but not the same consistency – they are pretty hard actually – but they are GREAT as straws in something like Sprite or Sierra Mist LOL (bite the ends off). It makes it cherry-flavored – it’s what we used to do at the movie theater as kids 🙂

  buy your first issue(s) from walmart then buy a subscription online. there is often a deal on a subscription through various sites. i’ve seen 2-3 deals since february mentioned on this blog and i got mine for $1 an issue through amazon.

    Twizzlers vs Red Vines. I think its an East Coast vs West Coast thing…Red Vines are awesome, Twizzlers are slimy and chemical tasting IMHO 😉

    Red Vines are hard when not fresh. You can always pop in the microwave for 5 sec to make them softer. Red Vines FTW! 😉

    I’ve got a question on the Ensure deal, basically wondering about using a B2G1 AND 2 $/1 coupons on three items.
    Buy 3 Ensure 4 packs $6.99 each — Total = $20.97
    Use the Buy 2 Get 1 Free coupon from the 4/3 SS
    Use 2 $2/1 coupons from the 4/3 SS
    Final Cost $3.33 each!
    After using a B2G1 Q, I wouldn’t think you could use 2 more coupons, since the first Q is ‘attached’ to 3 items??

  I had an issue at Kroger, but I have done this deal multiple times at Rite Aid without any issues. I think that my Kroger has an updated system that can better read the coupons than Rite Aid. I think you should give it a try. As long as you actually drink ensure, the worst that can happen is you will be paying sale price. My only tip would be to use the B2G1 Free coupon first (so that if any coupon is rejected, it will be the lower valued ones). Hope it works out for you! =)

    Can you use the $1.50/1 crest prohealth or crest sensitivity toothpaste 4.0oz or larger q from the 5/1 p&g to make the crest deal a $.50 mm. My ad has the crest pro health pictured.

  Mine did too. My question is the Rite Aid ad has Crest toothpaste as a double pack at 4.99 with a two dollar UP reward. I can’t find anywhere in the ad the deal listed here. I guess when I get to the store I will see what is posted.

    Nestle single serve candy is 2/$1. There is a Coupons.com coupon for $1/2 Butterfinger Snackerz. Also a manufacturer’s coupon for $.50/2.

    Can the $2/$10 bonus coupons be combined with other video values coupons? I ask because, if so, you could use it with the John Frieda hair color to make it free. The wording on the coupons confuses me and I’m just not sure if it’s allowed.

    I live in Western PA and I didn’t get the B1G1 for the Right Guard body wash coupon in my inserts. I even bought 3 different papers from 2 counties thinking it would be in there. I am so disappointed. I really needed that good deal to stock up. UGH….

    my rite aid has them for $2.79, i didnt see them listed in the ad and there wasnt any sale tag.
    are the rite aid ad’s all the same? im in So. CA. and our rite aid sales run friday – thursday so idk if maybe the sales arent exactly the same

    I have a question about peelies. today I bought a couple products, used a coupon and a peelie I found on the product, neither beeped but after it was all said and done the cashier said it was coupon fraud….. is this right?

  I don’t know about fraud but if you used a manufacturers coupon and a peelie (also a manufacturer coupon) on the same product it may have violated the policy of the store or listed on the coupon b/c most of the time you can only use one manufacturer coupon on a single product. Peelies are manufacturer’s coupon as are most coupons you will find in the paper (that are not issued by a particular store).

    My Rite Aid won’t let me use 2 of $5 coupon Physicians, they said I can only use 1 since it is a buy one get one free seems like they always have problem with my coupons and they always talked something bad behind my back like ( some people are like that…. driving all the way to use coupons) that exact work they said. I am very disappointed of how they treated me, all I wanted was to save some money for my family after I got laid off from my work.
