I’m making mashed potatoes tonight! I make them with the philly cooking cream (I have a ton of it thanks to super doubles at HT), sour cream, ranch, milk, salt and pepper, and lots of cheese! Oh man I love my mashed potatoes 🙂

    • Nora-Lee

Yummy!! You’re making me hungry!!! 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

These sound yummy! So do you have a favorite cooking creme? I have both the Garlic and the Italian Herbs one in my fridge right now and have been trying to figure out how to use them up. I haven’t tried either of these flavors yet so I don’t know how strong the flavor is or isn’t. Thanks!

      • nicole

You potatoes sound very good!! My husband usually makes mashed potatoes with cream cheese and green onions, we are going to have to try yours. 🙂 I love using the garlic cooking creme with homeade alfredo.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Alfredo, duh?! Why didn’t I think of that 😉 My girls love Chicken Alfredo…Thanks for the idea!

  2. Takako

Never seen the products. Where we can buy this?

    • Sandra

I had a free coupon and could never use it because no one in my area has them. No need to waste the ink on this one. Boo!

    • Michelle

      My SuperTarget has them!!

    • Brittany

I was wondering that too. Any chance Walmart or Lowes Foods would carry these? I’ve never seen this brand at Food Lion or Harris Teeter which are the only other groceries around here…

  3. Lisa

where can you buy green giant potatoes? at albertson’s or smith’s?

    • NIcole S

I usually buy them at Meijer, not sure if you have one around there. Most stores have them. I never realized they were green giant until the last time they offered this coupon. 🙂

    • mkw

I find them at Cub Foods. . .

I can’t get either of the links to work. Is anyone else having a problem getting to the coupon?

  14. Cherie L.

Can’t get in either – keep getting this message: SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] Can’t connect to local MySQL server through socket ‘/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock’ (11)

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Wow, this is awesome! Thank you! I can’t seem to get either link to work, though. Is it because the server is down?

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I think Hip2Savers crashed the site!

  17. Tonya

I have a couple of great recipes besides red skin mashed potatoes. The first one is for baked potato salad. Boil potatoes with the skins on and when they are fairly tender remove from heat. Let potatoes cool and then add shredded cheese, sour cream, green onion tops chopped or chives, crumbled bacon (optional) Mix together add salt and pepper to taste and serve. It is also great cold too.
The second one is to quarter the potatoes, place in a 9 x 13 pan. Put enough water in pan to just cover the bottom. Add butter and parsley, give a light toss and bake at 350 until they are tender.

  18. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

definately crashed! But Garbiella, I love your mashed potato recipe. I may have to make those tonight!

  19. Stephanie

Links don’t work, would of been a great coupon! Hope it gets back up soon!

  20. lisa73

  21. MJ

I think the server is unhappy… keep getting error messages. I have seen these at Whole Foods BTW… 🙂

  22. Beth R

My family’s all time favorite potato recipe is to cut the potatoes up into chunks and toss with 1 package of the dry french onion soup mix that you have mixed with about 1/3 cup oil. Bake at 350 for about an hour and serve with sour cream-Delicious!

    • joeywishtoo

Beth R – That sounds soooo yummy!! Writing it down now & after I get off work, I’m headed to the store. 🙂 Thanks again for sharing!!

    • joeywishtoo

Beth R – Made your recipe last night & it was a HUGE HIT at our house!! Sooooo yummy!! Thanks again for sharing! 🙂

This is my favorite recipe for red potatoes & I warn you it is NOT low fat or low in calories but absolutely delish!
Ranch Cheddar Potatoes~ 5 lbs Red Potatoes
    2 cups Sour Cream
    2 cups Ranch Dressing
    1/2 cup Real bacon bits
    3 Tablespoons Parsley Flakes
3 Cups Cheddar Cheese (I only use about 2 cups)
Wash & quarter potatoes, leave skin on. Cook 5 min with 1 tablespoon kosher salt (if I have it I use it, if not I use reg salt). Drain water off. Mix together sour cream, ranch dressing, bacon, parsley, & cheese. Mix with potatoes. Bake at 350* for 45 min. Enjoy! 🙂

    • Jesi

      HOLY CRAP THAT SOUNDS GOOD!

  34. Kim

Wrong place for this. But did anyone ever recieve their Quick Cloth from QCIdirect from the 4/14 deal? I never got mine and when I emailed to check the status they said they had no record of my confirmation number or order. They asked for my info and I gave them my name address number and confirmation number. Heres hoping they find it and or honor my order and send it again for the same price.

  35. Melissa

    That link did not work.

  36. Kristen

Collin, I absolutely LOVE your new hip2save logo/banner at the top of the homepage. The mom juggling so many things with baby in-tow is precious! Thanks for always being so creative. You’re site saves my family so much money! THANKS!

    • caryn d

Say what? I still see the Bunny one. Wonder what’s up with that!

  37. Stephanie

I can’t get any coupon sites to work, like coupons.com, so I think there must a problem somewhere and it’s not just with this coupon. Glad to see it’s not just me 🙂

  38. janekrebs

we need collin to post another great deal while we’re waiting for the klondike site. maybe we can crash it too!

  39. Jennifer

Still no love with this site… 🙁

    Hopefully it gets fixed soon…

  40. Sandy

I can’t get the link to work. It just comes up with a bunch of script.

  41. J

Green Giant is a midwest company. I’m not sure if you can get them nationwide. We have them at the Commissary in Missouri, not sure about regular grocery stores.

  42. LadyFunknstein

I was having such a hard time accessing the coupon link that I emailed Klondike. The marketing manager, Barbara, emailed me back and said that the traffic is so high right now that it’s affecting the site. She told me to “please” keep trying. I love their rose potatoes and you can buy them at Meijer. I’ll definitely continue to try printing the BOGO coupon.

  43. Deb

I like to cook mine in the toaster oven so don’t have to heat up the reg. one.
I cut up in quarters, throw in lrg. bowl with minced garlic, lots of finely cpd fresh rosemary, salt & pep and good, fruity olive oil. Cook til tender.YUM.

  44. mary

seems like all the coupon sites have crashed. I tried to get the facebook mission coupon and it’s down too and so is coupons.com

    • Margie

I am having the same issue. I can’t print any coupons–coupons.com come is down for me as well as any of the bricks coupons I try to print out. Hopefully this will be fixed SOON!

  45. Krismas

Still crashed! Totally unrelated…could anyone recommend a clipping service they have had success with that is reasonably priced. Thanks A Bunch!!!

  46. kat1044

    This link won’t work.

  47. Robin

haven’t attempted to get the q yet, but have a yummy potato recipe… great for a crowd.
Loaded mashed potatoes: 5 lbs red potatoes, either peeled or not (I take about 1/2 skin off) chunked if large, boiled until tender in salted water. 1/2 lb bacon, fried & crumbled, 1 bunch green onions, sliced incl some green tops; small container sour cream, small brick cream cheese, 1 stick of butter or margarine, 1/2 -1 tsp minced garlic, salt & pepper to taste, 2 c pkg shredded sharp cheddar cheese.
Mash potatoes with garlic, butter, sour cream, & cream cheese until as creamy as desired. I leave them slightly lumpy because my family likes this recipe that way. Mix in 3/4 of bacon, most of green onion, all but 1/4 cup of cheese, salt & pepper. Here you can choose to transfer to baking dish, top with cheese & bake for 30-40 min until browned on top. (350 oven) then add bacon & onion on top; OR top with remaining cheese, bacon & onion & serve as is. You can also put in crockpot which works well for potlucks. This is a MAJOR hit at parties or big family meals.
