* Valid through 6/11/11 in Staples U.S. stores only. Excludes postage stamps, gift cards, phone cards and HP ink and toner. I snagged 2 5 packs of z-grip pens for $1.89 each (marked down from $3.79 each). Using coupon, final price $0.79 for both!

  2. Michelle

I snagged 3 stackable storage containers on clearance for 1.10 each. Fun!

  3. rita

haven’t gone yet, been so busy with both jobs…hope Staples is ready for me in Austin!

  4. NYCSingleMom

I got the paper towels. going back for water. Water in NYC is expensive so this works out great.

    • michelle

I am too. It was $3.69 going to take my hubby back and buy 2, they were enforcing the 1 per person per day.

  5. Sarah

This is my plan for today. Hopefully it works out like I think. I am going to buy ink cartridges for 61.99. It is 20 % back in rewards right now. So I will get $12 in rewards back. If you spend $50 on ink right now they will give $4 per recycled cartridge up to 10. I actually keep forgetting to bring them with me so I do have 10! So that should be $40 more back in rewards. Hopefully I will have no problem using the $3 coupon. If I am figuring right, it should be like paying $7 for a multipack of ink cartridges…

    • Kim

my experience with bringing in the toner and ink cartridges has been that they mail you a certificate for the total amount. You’ll still get the value/deal, but you’ll have more upfront out of pocket right now. Anyone else have this same experience with the mailed certificate?

      • olymama

Yes, you do pay the full amount out of pocket then get the rewards back later.

    • joy

The coupon states that it can not be used on ink or toner 🙁

      • Jo Ann

Can’t be used on “HP” ink and toner. Most likely would work on other brands.

      • Melissa R

Yep I was able to use it on Kodak Ink today 🙂 It only excludes HP ink!

    • momof4spoiled1s

Excludes HP ink and toner so make sure your not getting HP brand.

  6. Christy

NO STAPLES around me!! :((((((!!! Closest one over an hour!!!! NO FAIR NO FAIR!!!! Yall have fun though……. 😉

    • joy

If you have an Office Deopt they will take competitor coupons 🙂

  7. Brandi

Does anyone Know if you can use a MQ with this deal??

    • jma280

I used a MQ this morning $1 off . So I got 3 dollar craft items for my daughter, and the Bounty for $4.39. (tax)

  8. olymama

Don’t forget they changed the wording so you can only use one per person per day. I got a big clear storage container (perfect for organizing my deals) on clearance for $3 from over $8! Going back for the other one today (I hope it is still there!). There were so many clearance deals it was hard to decide.

On a side note I was telling my cashier that I heard someone tried to use 40 of the coupon and she was sort of surprised, but not really. She said she had someone come in and ask her to ring up scotch tape 17 different times so they could use those pdf coupons (why it had to be separate transactions, I don’t know). I cannot believe the nerve some people have and they end up ruining it for everyone else! She said she did it then corporate came down and said they would not do that anymore. Hopefully they don’t come out with a restrictive policy after this!

    • LIsabella

I wish these people would realize they’re ruining it for everyone else. Sure, you can say times are tough and people need to stretch their dollars, but 17 rolls of scotch tape isn’t going save any family from financial ruin. I blame The Show for more of these people popping up, but that belongs on another post……

      • joy

I agree! I love to see a good deal just as much as the next person, but there is a line to be drawn somewhere. I mean come on 17 rolls of scotch tape! That’s enough to last 9 Christmas’s or more. There’s one word for it: HOARDING!

    • katie

our staples will not take MQ’s at all anymore – not from the internet, not from the paper, not direct from the manufacturer :(…manager said he doesn’t have to take any of them; that “there’s too much coupon fraud and people wanting stuff for free.” They’ll only take their own Q’s…so I emailed their corporate who told me it was up to each store to decide what they would take and I took all my business to office max – the manager there said they take it all and he would match whatever staples had to offer because “they value me as a smart and frugal customer.”

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

they do it has a sign saying 1 coupon per person on the checkout.

  9. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I let my daughter use the coupon. She purchased 2 bic markers and a 50 cent sucker. Amazing, it cost 9 cents for everything.

  10. palmharbormichelle

I have been to two different Staples in the last two days with this coupon. Each time I have purchased two (2) rolls of Scotch Packing/Shipping Tape with Dispensers. There are blinkie-type machines hanging by the tape with $1.00 off manufacturers coupons. Each roll is regularly $6.99, but is on sale for $3.00. With the Staples $3.00 coupon and two of the $1.00 off coupons, the total OOP for two rolls is around $1.10 with tax. On the four shopping trips I have taken I have been able to use the extra manufacturers coupons with no questions asked.

  11. Micki

Thank you so much!!! Having two very messy little boys, We blow through paper towels so quickly. My husband passes a Staples on his way to work, so it was super easy to snag this deal.

  12. Courtney

You can use a $1 off Bounty coupon in the P&G booklets that were sent out and make this an even sweeter deal!!!

  13. Bee

I keep meaning to get out to Staples to recycle ink. But it would cost me the $3 (probably more) round trip in gas to get there.

  14. Renee Berg

WOW !!! 🙂 i got the paper towels for $2.14 thank you Mrs C

  15. Guest

I went this morning with my husband on his way to work and between the two different $3 staples coupons out there I was able to get 4 packs of the paper towels, for 1.99 each. And (2) 24 packs of Deer Park water for .19 each. So worth hubby being sore with me for dragging him along. lol!

***Disclaimer: I by no means cleared the shevles of paper towels, I barely put a dent in it and the cashier said there were more in the back. lol***

    • kelsey

where is the link to the two diff coupons?? ty!!!

    • Nora-Lee

So they let you use more than one coupon per person in one day?

      • angel

I have TWO DIFFERENT COUPONS, but they only let me use ONE!

  16. Nora-Lee

Is this on their weekly flyer? I don’t want to drive up there and they don’t have it on sale 🙁

  17. kirsten

Thank you so much for these deals!!! i was able to buy 4 packs of bounty for $8.00!!!! nice, i used two and my gramma used two with no problems… thanks again

  18. colorfulsong

Just venting: Just back from Staples in Fort Worth (University Drive location) and am still upset. My kids went with me, had their own coupons, chose their own items…at checkout she wouldn’t take the two different coupons in a single transaction. Fine, let’s do separate transactions. Wouldn’t do it. She called the assistant manager and he said that we could only use ONE coupon per day. I was very nice, asked what the policy is so that I can follow policy…he said that even though the codes were different, we can still only use one. AND that my kids can’t use coupons since “you’re really the ‘customer’ and not them” I told him that my son (the one trying to make the first purchase) does chores, earns his own money, and would be using his own money to make his own purchase. The assistant manger replied “Sure he is.” Ugh. I stayed polite and kept saying that I want to follow policy. He let my son make his purchase (two transactions, two coupons), and let me make ONE more purchase using ONE coupon. My two girls had to put their items back. I am upset. I would’ve been disappointed but still okay except for him insinuating that I’m a liar about my kids having their own money to make their own purchases. I intend to go back later to talk to the head manager since I’ve talked with him before and I am sure he will be glad to tell me the policy. I just want to follow policy. Apparently, since they are different codes we should be able to use them, the assistant manager couldn’t say otherwise. And my kids certainly should’ve been allowed to make their own purchases!!! Some people are just sour.

    • dlucas

I tried to use both today in same transaction and the computer would not allow it. The cashier was noce enough to ring it in two transactions but I did get a look when the total was zero-not sure why no tax???? Anyway, she also let my daughter use a q but I think she thought I was trying to scam her-even though my daughter used her $ and it was obviously “kid stuff”. Oh well…

    • angel

They DON’T let us use two different coupons for two separate transactions. I feel bad for my kids to put the stuffs back, so I promise to take them back tomorrow.

  19. Kathryn

Weird, my bounty were on sale for 5.99, so I didn’t get them….but my staples had Nestle PureLife Water for 2.99 for a 24 pk. So this plus another cheap items = free water! yay! Me and boyfriend will be getting one per day for the next three days, free bottled water!

    • angel

Did you check the price for bounty? I saw two different places for bounty, first sign is $4.99 while other is $5.99.

  20. Serafina

I hate to say it, but I am confused as to HOW this coupon CAN be used on the paper towels. I am so outta luck where I live since Staples NO LONGER accepts manufacturer coupons PLUS this coupon specifically states “not valid… on instant savings items.” That is exactly what the paper towels ARE. They are on sale for $6.99 and $4.99 after “instant savings” coupon. 🙁 It also states it cannot be used with other coupons, so I would suspect the MQ stacking won’t work unless you have a Staples that will break the clearly stated rules on the coupon 🙁

  21. shoehoard

I got the Poland Spring water. It was marked at $4.99. It would have been $1.99 but up in CT we have a .05 bottle deposit so I always have to tack on an extra $1.20. The cheapest I have been able to buy water is the generic water at CVS when it goes on sale for $2.22 (+ $1.20 for bottle deposit). I plan to go to another Staples on the way home for the bounty paper towels.

    • Brandy

We moved to CT in 2009 and I didn’t understand why it kept saying deposit on my receipts. Finally my father in law told me that some states you have to pay a deposit when buying most drinks. We move back to NC next year, cause my husbands in the military, and I’m looking forward to not paying that anymore lol.

      • cathy

you take your empty soda cans and bottles to the recycling, and they give your the deposit back.

        • Brandy

That’s what we’ve started doing now. I do it on Sunday and then use it to get my papers 🙂

  22. Brandy

Just back from our Staples in Bristol CT, our cahier was super friendly and really sweet with our kids. Before we (my husband and I) even started shopping, I asked her if I could do two seperate transactions since the two $3 off coupons had different codes and she said, “I don’t see y not. We can try.” So for my two I got the water that was on sale, for my husband to take to work for when he pt’s, 1 6pack of paper towles, one scotch tape despenser( from $1 bin and I had my $1 coupon, so free) and a pack of 6 bungie cords on sale for $6. Total paid after coupons and staples rewards was only $3.31, and my husband got the 6pack paper towles and let our daughter buy a coupon pouch for mommy :)) and after coupons only spent $2.11. I’m turning him into a believer lol ;-). Thanks so much for all these great deals Collin!!!

  23. may

  25. Jess

I got the $1.99 paper towels deal today! There are so many great things you could get for free or very cheap with this coupon. I have a staples store within walking distance from my house, so I’ll be going back tomorrow, too! Thanks, Collin! 🙂

    • Nicole

Just wanted to update you all, I was able to use my $1/ 6 pack from the p&g mailer with the $3 coupon – got the bounty for only $1.12! 🙂

  26. daniela

I got the deal for the Staples Copy Paper ( to print more coupons!!). It was 5.99, less the 3.00 =2.99 Paid 3.20 (tax included here), and I am waiting for the easy rebate. So, it will be basically almost free.

  27. jessica

just snagged 2-6pks of bounty papertowel for $1.15 each! they let me use the manuf $1 coupons :):):)

  28. Phyllis

I went to Staples today for the bounty deal. Fortunately the closest one is only 10 min. from my house. They are the tiniest rolls of Bounty I have ever seen. There are only 40 sheets per roll. For $2.13 including tax they are a decent deal, but in no way are they a WOW deal. No way I would pay $4.99, much less the regular price of $6.99 for the towels.

    • NeetNeet

I thought they were small too, but figured it was just me, lol.

    • jennifer e

haha… i thought the same thing when i saw them. we have the “huge” rolls at home so they definitely looked dinky. that’s why i opted for the cheap water instead.

  29. Amy

YESSS just scored BIG at Staples! I Had 6 of the $3off coupons (the one from the first day with no restrictions) I did 6 seperate transactions.

    1. 8 Pack of Sustainable Earth Paper Towels $4.99 (Paid $2)
    2. big 4 pack of Mr Clean Magic Erasers on sale $3.50 (Paid 50cents!)
    3. big 4 pack of Mr Clean Magic Erasers on sale $3.50 (Paid 50cents!)
    4. Wet Ones wipes 40 pack that fits in car cupholder $3.99 (paid $1)
    5. 2 packs of kids stickers $1.50 each (FREE)
    6. pack of envelope $3.50 (paid 50cents!)

    $4.50 total YAY

  30. orientmom

THEY HAVE 30 PACKS OF DEER PARK WATER MARKED DOWN TO 3.99 AND THEY LET ME USE THE COUPON TO GET IT FOR .99 ALSO THEY LET ME USE THIS COUPON ON 3 DIFFERENT TRANSACTIONS SO 1ST TRANSACTION WAS WATER .99 2ND TRANSACTION ALSO WATER .99 AND THE 3RD WAS THE BOUNTY 6 PACK PAPER TOWELS 1.99 THE CASHIER SAW THAT I HAD MORE COUPONS AND SHE IS THE ONE THAT SAID I COULD USE THEM AS LONG AS THEY WAS DIFFERENT TRANSACTIONS. EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS A SIGN AT THE REGISTER THAT SAID ONE COUPON PER DAY I DO BELIEVE IS WHAT IT SAID .

  31. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The Bounty paper towels were $5.99 in Winchester, VA.

  32. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

This was perfect timing, I needed paper towels!

  33. Christina

So are you allowed to stack a Manufacturer Coupon with this Staples Coupon? I was told you are not allowed to stack with this particular coupon.

So I just re-read the fine print on the Staples Coupon several times, and now I’m confused.

“Minimum purchase requirement of $3 must be met with purchases to which no other coupon or instant savings offer applies.”

So does that mean you can’t stack a coupon, or you can but it still has to be $3 after the coupon comes off?

    Please help! Thanks!

    • Ashley

Was wondering this to since Colin updated this with a manu. coup.

      • SS

i was thinking the same thing. At my store the bounty paper towels and the quilted northern toilet paper both said they were instant savings deals, which the coupon says you cannot use on these items…but it sounds like people are using the coupons without issue…

        • NeetNeet

I also noticed this yesterday when I went to buy the paper towels. But, I took them up to the register and specifically asked the girl if I could use the coupon with the paper towels and she said yes.

    • Serafina

I think if we are following the rules on the coupon, it is not a valid deal. But I guess we’d have to confirm with the Staples people to confirm. The way I read it the coupon should not be used on the paper towels since it is an “instant savings” deal nor stack with a MQ. I hate to say it and I would love the deal, but this calls for a let your conscience decide reaction. I think Staples is tightening up rules due to others not following the rules or doing tons of transactions for coupon items that they are not getting reimbursed for. Why else would they decline to accept MQs?

  34. Jackie

I just went to my staples and they wouldn’t let me use my internet coupon for the tape, the cashier said they don’t accept internet coupons. This information is not posted anywhere in the store. I did get the paper towels for $1.99!

  35. Lindsey

Just got my 6pk for a total of $2.16 with tax!!! I live in Southern California and my Staples would not let me stack my $1manufacturer coupon 🙁 Still got a great deal though!! Thanks!
P.S- 3 of my co-workers are on their way to Staples to score the deal!

  36. Mozella

They have so many things that you can use this on. They have several great $1.00 items!
But what I purchased was a 24-pack of Ozarka water (regular price $3.99), so I only paid $1.06 oop.
My daughter used one and purchased a 6-roll pack of Bounty paper towels (on sale price $4.99), so she only paid $2.13 oop and earlier today I bought a large 38 fl oz Dawn dishwashing liquid reg. price $3.99 so I pd $1.06 oop!!! 🙂
    This is great coupon!

  37. Jo-Ann

I couldn’t use both $3 coupons, so had to do 2 separate trx: $3 blue painter’s tape (free, not even tax) and $3.99 for a pack of Staples recycled 5×8 pads (6 pads, 50 sheets/pad–total $1.08) for my daughter. Many thanks, Collin! 🙂

  38. Jennifer

Had some fun at Staples today. I got 2 boxes of ziplock(off brand though) bags and a package of drinking straws plus my free tape all for 7 cents! Going back tomorrow for a case of water. 🙂 Making sure to stick to the rule of one coupon per customer per day so we don’t take advantage and screw it up for everyone. Thanks Collin!

  39. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The 24 pack of ice mountain water is $3.99 at staples with the $3 coupon just 99 cents.

  40. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

They had Quilted Northern 12 roll on sale for 4.99 so I snagged that instead for 1.99 and will be going back for paper towels tomorrow. 🙂

  41. Renee Berg

thank you so much … i have been having a BALL 🙂 today shopping .

  42. Karen

The only $1 off coupon I see for Bounty is for napkins not paper towels. Is this the one you guys are using?

    • Collin

No, there was actually a regional coupon in the 6/5 PG that is good for paper towels 6 ct.+

      • Karen

I’m sort of a newbie… can you explain where regional ones come from? I get the LA Times which is…? Not regional…? Still a bit confused about stuff. Thanks Collin.

        • Stephanie

Karen, a “regional coupon” is just one that some people got and others didn’t. If you don’t have it, it probably just wasn’t sent to your area. HTH!

  43. Ron

I got a super deal with the bounty paper towels at 4.99- 3 coupon- P & G $1 off coupon, total price was $1.14 including tax! Awesome deal for all 6!

  44. Janay

The coupon says you cannot use other coupons with it.

  45. laura73

I got a 24 pack of Ice Mountain for .99 today. I had an extra coupon and my mom was with me so she bought a second pack of water for me!!! Hopefully I get a chance to go back tomorrow and get some paper towel.

  46. Ashley

Where did you guys get the $3 off coupon, Could some one give me a link to the coupon so I can print it out if it is a printable.
    Thanks

  47. Mike

In So. Cal they have Arrowhead 24pk water for $3.69. I’m going to see if they will also take the $1 off 24pk from the 5-22 RP. Free + Overage with the $3 off!

  48. Terri

This is my first week at couponing. The way I read the add it is one coupon per day and you have to spend at least 3 additional dollars to get the deal. Right?

  49. Olga

I just bought paper towels for $1.09. They accepted the manufacture coupon from P&G booklet.

  50. Dawn

Well I went in to get the paper towel deal, but as I was turning around saw the $3.00 bin and Scotch Packaging Tape was in there. So, I got two of those and used 2 of my 1.00 off coupons and paid $1.36 including tax. Felt like I hit the jackpot, that tape is usually $5.00 a roll.
