Hip2Help Video Update (Griffin, Georgia)
Wow! The last few days have been a whirlwind filled lots of sweat, smiles, laughter and tears and very little sleep. We left Griffin, GA yesterday after a fun-filled day at a local park and a morning shopping trip with our 2 sponsored families, the Wrights and the Duffeys. I am so thankful to Hip2Save readers Brandy and Carrie for arranging the entire event, coordinating volunteers, soliciting donations, and welcoming me and the entire Hip2Save team to their wonderful town! I am also so grateful to all of you for sending in donations; without you, none of this would have been possible.

All I can say is “WOW!” Collin I don’t know how you do all you do – but I bet your family is SO proud of you and I think you guys are just so wonderful for doing this tour. The video turned out great! I’ll never forget that I only came upon your blog through a link in an advertisement-type email I received last year (who remembers which company it was for) but there was a link to something about using coupons or saving money – and somewhere in that link it mentioned/lead to your site. This makes me want to go out and do more for people in need. I am going home tonight and sitting down with my ten year old daughter to figure out where we can donate locally in our community. This is such a huge undertaking for you and your family! I am totally in awe of all you and your family have done to help others. It must feel so good to know you have given these people some hope. What a great lesson you are teaching your kids! I love how they were right there to see what a difference you all were making. I am from Joplin, Missouri where we just went through the same thing as these people. It is amazing to be able to give to people who have had every single belonging just blown away. A sick of deodorant or pack of diapers is like gold to the tornado survivors.
I donated to Joplin it was closer to home for me. But Collin what you are doing is SO awesome!
I am glad I was able to help for a little bit. Those families were so grateful for everything they got.

Collin… Thank you! This video shows the heart and spirit of true Americans. This is what we do… we come together to help each other out however and whenever we can… and with what we can. Just look at the blessing it brings to the people in need! I’ve heard it been said that Americans are the most generous people in the world… and I believe it!

We can’t say enough good things about Collin and the Hip2Help crew, it really really is awe inspiring!! Its hard to imagine really the scale in which Hip2save has grown in the last few years, and the fact that what you guys have done, just you and this blog, has not only helped all of us (thousands and thousands of people! its crazy!!) at home to learn to save so much money for our families while staying well balanced and upbeat but at the same time, helped inspire so many people to pay it forward. I think its almost incomprehensible what a gigantic difference you alone have made in SO many people’s lives (everyday!) and if we can start to wrap our heads around it, we can’t do anything else but be super inspired by you. I can’t express how much respect and admiration I have for you guys, you have such amazing attitudes all the time. Its fantastic to have a place like this to come to everyday because your energy has attracted really some awesome Hipsters. I think your attitude and enthusiasm really determines the mood around here and it seems like the mood is ALWAYS positive! Amazing blog, amazing atmosphere and amazing people.
