Staples: Simple Directions to Order Your 10 FREE Photo Cards Online (and Pickup in Store)
UPDATE: Sorry, all! 🙁 It appears from reading the comments, this deal may not work on the instant cards. I did in fact place an order online yesterday, so I will update you all if it does work for me when I go pick them up today. Sorry for the confusion on this.
From reading the comments on the Staples FREE photo cards post, I see that most of you are very confused on how to redeem this offer online (as was I). Well, I have great news… thanks to reader, Kelly, here’s how you can take advantage of this photo cards offer online and then pick the cards up in-store for FREE! 🙂
Just follow these simple directions:
1. Go to print.staples.com
2. On the lower left hand side, select “Instant in-store products” & then “need it now? learn more”
3. Now, look for “Instant photo cards” and click “order now”
4. Create your 10 cards, as you normally would. When it takes you to the checkout, it will ask you to select your local store. You do not have to pay online… simply print out the coupon here and present it in the store to score your 10 FREE 4×8 photo cards!! 😀

So, does the above-described deal work if the coupon excludes instant cards?
Yeah wish I would have seen that. There is a sku number associated with the offer and the instant cards is NOT it. I picked mine up today and the manager gave them to me anyway- even though it isn’t supposed to work that way. He said it is all there in the fine print, but yet still a little confusing. Thankfully he was gracious.
How far do you have to go before it asked you for the store?
OK- I see it, make sure you are ordering Instant Cards and not “4×8 Photo cards”.

Hi Lisa: The coupon I printed on this site, states exactly what you wrote, except it reads “Excludes Deluxe Holiday cards.” It says nothing about Instant cards, so I am thinking the deal is still good in store 🙂 Hope that helps. I am going to try to pick up my order tomorrow. It should work 🙂
I cant figure out where to tell it what store I want to pick them up at? It just tells me to pay for shipping? Help!
Can anyone tell me, how do i know if it is a deluxe holiday card?
I actually got 10.49 as the total and it says to pick it up.. oh gosh did i do something wrong? I put my address and phone number will I be charged for that amount?
Don’t waste your time – Staples will for sure give you a hassle – they always have and always will- every time you use a coupon – one clerk even told me – I don’t know anything I just ring up your merchandise and take your money!!! That sums it up for Stupid Staples

Can someone that has actually redeemed the coupon in store update us on if it is valid for the instant cards. When you go to the website stated on the coupon a banner comes up with the deal & it does say excludes “Instant cards” so I am confused!…….Thank You!! Hope it works…I am excited for free Christmas cards!!
I just got a call from staples about my order for the “instant cards” you can NOT use the 10 free photo cards coupon on the instant prints 🙁
I just picked up my cards after following Collin’s directions and had no trouble whatsoever. I did notice that when I went to the link as directed, in red, the text stated that these were the 10 free cards. I designed and ordered them online last night and picked up early this morning.

I don’t think it is valid on instant cards. I am not able to get the cards shipped to my store for FREE. The cards I selected are showing up free when I go to checkout, but in the end, it adds shipping. There is not an option to have them shipped to the store.
Well, I just ordered them. I will post tomorrow whether or not the coupon works for instant cards
I was confused by the “Excludes Instant Cards” comment as well. I kept clicking “next” after preparing my order thinking that I’d have the opportunity to enter a coupon code but never did. I ended up placing the order and I can’t cancel it.
It does state under the order details in my account that my order status is “on hold (pending payment)” … so, i’ll call them in the morning. If they don’t take the coupon, then I won’t finalize the order.
Looking back at the site, there is an option for “Photo: Cards / Books” … I think that I should’ve used that option instead of the “Instant Photo Cards.” 🙁
This is a different Kelly, but I think to use the coupon you just go to print.staples.com/freecards1030 which is listed on the coupon, click on holiday cards at the top, and then click on the 4×8 photo cards which show as starting at $0 dollars. However, it does not give the option to ship to store/pick up for free. Bummer.
seems we were all misled – I too called this morning and was told my order would not be free because I chose “instant cards”. The cards are only free if you make regular old holiday cards – not instant or deluxe. Darn! I had to cancel my order and start from scratch.
I went to staples today and showed them my coupon, asked if the instant cards would have worked and they said of course because the coupon itself does not say anything about instant cards. I made my 10 free cards while in the store, and while they definitely aren’t the greatest quality I did get my 10 free cards!!!

I ordered mine online last night and picked them up in the store. The coupon didn’t work automatically, but the manager came over and honored it for me. They said the wording on it is just kind of confusing and vague, but it was valid on the instant cards I made! Soooo cute!

I do not know how did work for all of you guys when you went to the store to pick it up BUT it was the wrong way to do it as we all did 🙁 This deal works ONLY if ordered in the store or online and shipped home not for pick up. The problem is that they print 2 cards per sheet and by ordering online and picking up in the store everything is confused and they charge you for every sheet not the card. So the coupon applies only half the price. My store was very nice and they called the corporate to figure out how to do it and since it was completely wrong there was no way to apply the full amount. The manager was able to apply $10 so I had to pay $0.49 but still great deal for 10 cards. I hope that you did not had any problems picking up.
Just picked up mine after work today. The manager did have to come over and push it through, but said it wasn’t my fault. The strange thing is that when I got home was looking through the box and thought it looked like more then 10 cards. Turns out I was given 20 photo cards with 10 envelopes. I checked my order confirmation and receipt, and they both states quantity of 10. Someone must have messed it up in my favor. So check your boxes! 🙂 Only problem is that I don’t know where to find envelopes for 4×8 cards!
I also got 20 because they print 2 per sheet 🙂 but they did not gave me any envelopes 🙁
I picked up mines yesterday, and they were having some problems to process the coupon, at the end the assistant manager told me to take them and that she will key it in the system tomorrow!! so got mines free yay!!
Picked up my cards today. The cashier scanned the coupon and it worked without a problem.
I’ve fetched mine today. the girl is very nice. I got not only 10 cards with 10 envelopes, in fact they gave me 20 sets. really don’t know why. Well, nice surprise!!!
I did it today and did instant card and it worked! They are beautiful, ten Christmas cards done! And they were free….gotta love it.
