    Although is it crap, I went ahead and gave the Jana ‘Leather Tote Bag’ to my 19yo daughter for Xmas anyway. She likes it, but doesn’t know the $$story. I hate it. I paid WAY too much for a cheap PVC tote bag, that was advertised as a “leather tote”. I’ve emailed & called Jana Feifer, AND emailed Jill ‘Steals & Deals’ Martin. Shame on you The Today Show & Jill Martin, and Jana Feifer! Has anyone notified any consumer groups about Jana Feifer’s ‘Bait & Switch’?

      MY DAUGHTER LIKED HERS TOO.. I DID TELL HER THE WHOLE THING ABOUT the blogs.. she doesnt understand y we are all upset.. i told her its the simple fact that good money was paid out for something we didnt get.. kids dont understand ne thing these days.. nbc isnt calling it a bait and switch.. i read one post where they said it was called faux croc.. i did listen to the video again and it did say faux.. it was said so fast u could miss it.. the order page did ont say ne thing about faux. expensive lesson to learn not to buy from jills STEALs and deals

      I too was under the impression that my Jana Feifer tote was all leather.I read the label inside the bag and it says pvc and leather trim….. most of this expensive bag is pvc-stiff and smelly. I will definitely be returning it .Thanks for posting the return info.
      I will not be buying from Jills steals and deals again.

      My bag smelled toxic it was scary! I have called and called and finally had my credit card company dispute the transaction! So disappointed in this product it was gross!!!!!!

    I bought the men’s Kenneth Cole jacket in an XXL to ensure it would fit my boyfriend who always wears an XL in everything. The jacket was so tight he couldn’t move his arms, and he only had a tshirt on underneath. I’m convinced they sold a group of jackets that were cut wrong at this special price, and the only responses I receive are that sales are final. I will never buy another Jill’s Steals & Deals feature again. Terrible results and terrible customer service.

      file a complaint with your credit card co to get your money refunded. banks dont like things happening like that to their customers.

    I too, have reviewed how I could have missed the faux part of the Jana Feifer tote bags on Jill’s Steals and Deals on the Today show. It was presented as a leather tote with faux croc. In other words, leather that had a faux croc embossing. I was going to keep it and call it a lesson learned but it smells so bad I can’t keep it in the house. Which consumer group or groups can I contact?

    I still have not received my handbag or refund. No response from the company, and the phone number given jumps to a full mailbox. Shame on the Today Show for not doing their homework!

    I purchased the bag on the Nov. 23 Today Show Jills Steals and Deals and it is now Jan 5th and I still haven’t received my handbag. I also tried calling the customer service line and a week later there is still a full mailbox! They used my money for over 6 weeks when they promised an up to 3 week delivery. I finally called my credit card company to get a refund. I’m almost glad that I didn’t receive the bag after reading the blogs of customers that can’t even keep the PVC bag in the house it smells so bad!! This is not a reputable company to do business with and even worse for the Today Show to present an inferior product on their program.

    I returned the Jana Feifer tote and got a full refund. Cost me $16 but I got $85 back on my card. Apparently they do stand behind their statements. Glad to call this episode over. If it sounds too good to be true……

      You’re lucky. I returned mine 12/27… They received it 1/4 (UPS ground) and still no refund. They sure didn’t waste any time charging my CC when I ordered that tote. I’ve put the charge on dispute with my CC company because it’s been almost 60 days since the charge originally hit. After 60 days there’s nothing the CC co can do.

    Audrey – I returned mine on 12/22 and they recieved it on 12/30. As of 1/7/12, there was still no refund. I sent an email to them advising that if my money was not refunded, I would be contacting my credit card company. The next day I had a response and a second email with the refund information. It did take 4 days for the refund to appear on the credit card account. (My credit card company advised it could take 7 to 10 business days to appear.)

      I am glad to hear that they MAY give you a refund. I ordered 2 of these bags and they smell so bad I have to keep them in the garage. I didn’t receive them until Christmas Eve so had to buy 2 other gifts. I am so upset they better refund my money, they are such a scam. I wouldn’t pay $10 for these plastic totes. I have sent email and called and have not gotten any results. I will keep trying.

        I received email from Jana Feifer Co and they told me they would be happy to refund my money if I am not completely satisfied, so I immediately boxed them up and mailed them UPS , so see what happens. Hope they are true to there word.

          I want everyone to know that I received my refund on my card minus the shipping of course. So I am pleased by how they handled my return.

      Tee, I took a page from your book and sent them a stern email itemizing my complaints with their co… hitting the cc so far in advance of shipping, quality of product received vs its discription, and their delay in refunding payment after receipt of returned mdse. Also told them that I’d put the transaction on dispute with the CC co. Apparently it takes an email to get them to actually process a refund. Ie, the squeeky customer gets their money back. They processed a refund within 36 hours of sending the email and it showed up on my cc acct today. Glad to put this one behind me. I’ve worked too hard for my money to waste it.

        Exactly right. I tracked the package and when I knew they had it I emailed them that I wanted the refund on my card asap. Same deal, two emails and a refund. Thank goodness. Still out return postage but that’s way better than being out $85.

    Dear Steals and Deals — We appreciate these wonderful offers you bring us but the contact info from these vendors needs to be better. I order the Cuore and PellE bag and the check out cart mistakenly had 2 items when I only ordered one. The order went thru for twice what I intended to spend. All I have is an email address and their FB page. I need to reach a customer service individual to amend this order pronto, or I will end up with an item I didn’t intend to order and there can’t be returns. Please help! Please provide the Cuore and Pelle phone # in the US!!

    Dear Jill, I purchased 3 bags and 2 braclets on Nov.22 the 3 totes were Jana Feifer bags($75 each). I was contacted by the customer service saying that the 1 color bag was going to be sent after Christmas. I said fine I still want them. I recieved the braclets and 1 bag.
    I was told after several e-mails (since there is no # to call) that the rest of the bags will be sent out on Jan.9th. To this day I have not recieved the other 2 bags and was already charged for them. I have not recieved a call or confirmation on delivery either. Is there somewhere else I can go to get either my money back or the bags?
    I am very frustrated with this company usually when you pay someone for a product you get at least a call saying they are sorry for it taking this long. I still have $150+ that I have not recieved anything for.

      Dawn, Did you like the bag you got? Was it leather? Your best bet may be to dispute the charge for the two unreceived bags with your cc company before it’s too late.

    I also ordered one of the Jana Feifer bags, after multiple emails and calls I got a response in January that said I should receive a tracking number for my order within a day or two. Still no email with tracking number, no replies to my emails or calls.
    At this point I don’t care how great their items may be, I contested the charge and will let my credit card company deal with them now.
    As the consumer we should not ever have to hound a retailer to update us on our orders. I don’t see how this company stays in business!

    I disputed the charge on my CC and returned the TWO bags I received to Medallion Enterprises in Chatsworth, CA per their instructions. They credited my account for ONE bag only for $85.95. The charge is still in dispute for the remaining amount. I emailed the merchant but have not received a reply. Buyer beware.

    April 4 for me still no bag! Have called, emailed. Guess out of business!! Anyone know? Out luck for me now!! Double shame on Today and Jill. This us disgusting. It clearly said leather tote on site, not trim!!! I sell bags and can buy my own pvc bag in n.y.!

    Now 4/4 still no bag, I’ve called, emailed. I’m sol. She’s probably bankrupt now. Anyone know? Double shame on Today , Jill as one said. This is disgusting all around. And I can buy pvc in n.y. It clearly said leather tote! Not trim.

      I returned my jana feifer bag according to their instructions back in January. I have not received my refund yet! I have emailed weekly, no response, and also called the phone number given and it is out of order. Any suggestions as to what to do next?

        If you paid with a credit card, I would use that avenue.

    I was charged for the bag I ordered back in November, never received anything or a refund. I have emailed and called repeatedly. I received on email saying it would be shipped and get a tracking number with in 24 hours. The tracking number never came. I have emailed again and again and never received another response.
