    Just an FYI, I live in So. California (Orange County area) and last year bought my two sons (18 and 26, not little kids) very nice wool jackets from Costco. I was in there about a week ago and noticed the jackets are back. I believe they are also a designer brand and about the same price point as the Kenneth Cole jackets above, so if you are looking for a nice wool mens jacket and somehow miss out on the deal above, you may want to check your local Costco.

        My name is Jana Feifer. I am the designer of the handbag you purchased from the Jill’s Steals & Deals segment of the Today Show. First, I would like to say thank you very much for your purchase – I know that you will be very pleased! I am a small business owner and I truly appreciate your support. I am writing to you because I have encountered a slight problem with the delivery of a portion of my handbags. The cognac color is scheduled to arrive just after Christmas, so if you were planning to receive your handbag before the 23rd of December, then I am truly sorry for any inconvenience and I will be happy to give you a full refund. However, if you wouldn’t mind receiving your bag at the beginning of January, I would be extremely grateful. I would also like to propose one other option: I can substitute the cognac bag with a black or chocolate brown bag to arrive by December 23rd. So, here are your options:

        A.) Keep your original purchase of Cognac for delivery in January

        B.) Substitute the Cognac for an alternate color of Black or Chocolate Brown

        C.) A full refund back to your credit card

              that number i posted was on an email i got from who ever is selling the Jana Feifer leather tote bags. I am just a regular old person waiting on arrival of my purchase of the tote since 11/22/11. I found the email address for where to contact someone about my purchase on the order page for my tote. i wish I could help you out. The longer the time goes the more I am feeling that I might not be getting my tote. I am trying to stay patient until 12/23/11 comes and goes before I get really mad! They already took my payment out of my bank account so I do know come 12/26/11 I will be calling my bank to get my money back if the tote has not arrived..

          I finally received the so called “leather” tote bag from Jana Feifer. I could not be more disappointed. I had been a loyal subscriber to Jills Steals and Deals and have gotten great deals on high quality products in the past – but this is not one of them. I have written customer service and asked for a full refund. I don’t believe this bag was ever sold in high end retail stores and it’s not worth anything close to $75, much less the so called retail price of $395. The bag feels like plastic and reeks of smelly chemicals.

            I received my tote bag and I am totally disappointed not only with Jana Feifer but with Steals and Deals. This bags reeks of chemical smell from PVC and does not look or smell like a high end retail bag. I have requested a refund from the company ASAP. Apparently, merchandise offered on Steals and Deals is not thoroughly research for the true value but is misrepresented as truly discounted.

            I agree the bags are so cheap looking and there is no way anyone would pay even close to $395 for them. They are non refundable as per the confirmation email “no refunds or exchanges.” I did send them an email expressing my disspointment with their product and will see what the response is, I am not sure I will ever see one

              I just got the bag on the 23rd. What a disappointment. The smell is really nauseating. I have it wrapped in two plastic bags to contain the smell and will most likely end up throwing it in the garbage. I can’t believe high end retailers sell this brand. They must have sent us the knockoff version as they clearly couldn’t even keep up demand. I’m disappointed with The Today Show for endorsing this product. Total scam. The no refund no exchange policy should have set off warning bells.

              I just contacted my credit card company and you can dispute a charge if the quality of the item is not what was represented. I am giving them 5 days to respond to my e-mail then I am turining it over to the credit card company.

              The quality of this bag is cheap and NOT leather!

              This is what the e-mail said about the bag.
              We are very sorry that you are not happy with your Jana Feifer handbag purchase. Unfortunately, there is some confusion about the materials of the bag that you purchased. It was clearly stated on the Today Show segment, on the Jana Feifer website and on the customer receipt at the time of purchase that the bag is made of embossed faux croc and leather trim. The bag you received is made of that exact fabrication.

              I see NO WHERE on my receipt or the website the word FAUX CROC.

              But I am happy they are refunding my money without me going through my credit card.

            Yes, I agree it says faux croc…but I can’t even figure out what on it constitutes “leather trim”! I bought 2 b/c I couldn’t decide between the brown & black. I thought if I left them out of the plastic bag for a couple of days the smell would dissipate ….not so much. I’m happy to hear you can get a refund b/c these are junk! I’ve gotten better totes through make-up give-aways! Remember it was actually $86 w/shipping!
            I feel like a sucker 🙁

              I agree with all of the above. I cannot figure out where the “leather” is on this bag. I just want to know if we have to pay the shipping to return it. That will cost another 10 to 15 dollars. After the 4 week wait and dubious quality of the bag, I am thoroughly disappointed.

                I returned mine yesterday in the original box. At first the price was $23.00. I said NO WAY, do it cheap like the bag! I ended up paying $9.80 with delivery confirmation.

          I received my bag and had to leave it outside on my screened in porch because of the smell. I want to return the bag, but am having difficulty reaching you. I left messages at the customer service # on packing slip. NO return call. They finally answered the phone and directed me to a website. The phone # on the webside has a full mailbox, so I couldn’t leave a message. I would like a refund, including shipping and taxes. This bag was definitely misrepresented.         Like you I never got a conformation email as well. I did however get an email this morning from UPS Quantum View from ABC FULFILLMENT…not sure if this is the coat or not, if not them I’m completely confused as to what it is. It didn’t state what the shipment was for. Has anyone ordered something from here and this UPS & company is where it’s from?

    Kenneth Cole sale was a blitz. I was on the computer when Jill aired the sale. the site was pulled down before I could place an order for 4 doulbe breasted top coats for my sons. Most vendors keep the sale open for several days if not weeks!

      try writing to this email address. customerservice@janafeiferbags.com i have written a few times and they write back within 24 hrs. my last email from them stated i will get my tote no later than dec 23. i placed my order on 11/22/11. they did say it would take 3 weeks for delievery but the date of dec 23 will be 4 weeks. if i do not get it by the 23rd i will be calling my back to request a full refund.

    I ordered the Kenneth Cole jacket on 11/22 and it stated guaranteed by the holidays, 3 weeks tops for delivery and it’s been 3 weeks. Where can I find additional information on this? Cards shouldn’t be charged until delivery like every other merchant does.

I’ve sent 3 Urgent messages thru asking for tracking information and nothing… This is ridiculous and very unprofessional on the Today Show’s involvement! If anyone has news re: this pls. Advise.             i dont think our banks or credit card companies will agree with the no returns though.. This is a scam. i have everything saved about this item emails,descriptions, etc..       I just received my “Jana Feifer” -and I can’t believe she would ever put her name on an item like this! Only took over a month to arrive from China, no wonder, and if I don’t get cancer from breathing the toxic fumes coming off this piece of plastic crap it will be a Christmas miracle! There isn’t a piece of leather anywhere on this bag-I don’t care how “buttery soft” they claim it is! This is right up there with the fake “UGG” boots scam! lol! It’s such a shame I have to learn everything the hard way! I feel if I send the bag back-I won’t see my money or the bag and the return postage is worth more than this product! I’m sure you make some nice products Jana, but sadly, this isn’t one of them.

              im from upstate NY.. it seems that everyone that ordered from jills steals and deals are getting screwed.. ive read posts about people not getting knives, towels, wallets and what ever else has been sold. they arent getting their items either and they seem to be getting the same promises as to they will be arriving by christmas. Which christmas 2012? those that have gotten their items are saying the quality is below pare and crap. we need to all get a class action suit going agains the Todays show , NBC and Jill!

Hey Today Show, if you are going to advertise with these idiot companies the least you can do is help out your viewers get your products. I’ll never order again from Jill’s steals and deals.

    I too ordered the Feifer Tote and still have not received them. I ordered 3 of them and I am becoming increasingly nervous that they will not arrive before XMAS. My other concern is that those members who have received them are saying the quality is very poor. I feel like I have been ripped off and taken advantage of. I cannot afford to buy other gifts for these people because these bags never came. I am upset with the Today Show for endorseing this scam.

    I just contacted my Credit Card Company and disputed the charge for the Jana Feifer Tote. I tried emailing the company and they do not reply. I tried calling the company and no one answers the phone, not even a voice mail. I am not a rich person I cannot afford to be out of $247.00. Especially since I will have to buy these people other gifts.
    I will never trust the Today Show’s Jills Steals & Deals again. This is very stressful at holiday time. It’s horrible to take advantage of people in this economy.

      What did your credit card co say? Will they be able to get the money back? I am giving them until the 23rd to get me mine. If I do not get it i will be going to my bank on 12/26/11 with all of this info from the blogs and demand they get me my money back. I too will never buy from the steals and deals.. We work too hard for our money and do not bring in what they do from working on that show. We have to count every penny and this is a lot of pennies to lose!

        The bank was very nice they asked me all relevant information. Such as when the item was ordered, when was the item promised to be delivered, had I made any attempts to contact the company etc…
        I faxed them my receipt and they are investigating my claim. Even if it does come it sounds like it is not what it was promised. The bank told me there is claim for that too. If it does come but, it’s past the date expected or it is not the quality promised I would still be entitled to get my money back. Hopefully, it’s all true because I believe in my heart that I was ripped off. I work too hard for my money to just let this go. The way it was described on the Today Show as being buttery soft leather made it sound irresistible. At 82% off it made it affordable for the average person like me to give a gift that is normally sold in high end stores like Nieman Marcus, Saks & Nordstrom. Boy was I fooled. I’m embarrassed to tell my family what I did.

    I ordered the Jana Feifer black tote on 11/22. I finally received an email on 12/16 stating it was shipped with an expected delivery date of 12/23. I have been tracking it via FEDEX which shows it will be delivered by postal service by 12/22. If this tote is not 100% leather I will be contacting my credit card company, Jana Feifer, Jill Martin and The Today Show. The product was described as being leather and being valued at $395.

    Got my bag today in black…piece of crap. Would never spend $75 on it, let alone the $395. Very disappointed.

    I have yet to receive my tote bag…and I will give them until dec 26th…I’ve emailed them twice with no response… Is there anyone satisfied with their Jana Feifer bags?

      I have yet to read about one person that is happy with their bag. seems to be a total disappointment.. i am beginning to wonder if these bags are knock of fakes that a person would get on canal st in NYC for 40.00. according to their info these are bags that high end stores sell. I dont think they sell smelly plastic bags. this has scam written all over it..

      I’m not happy with my Jana Feifer bag either. I wouldn’t have paid $75 for it if I had seen it first. Agree it smells terrible too. I also thought the description said it zippered shut at the top (but I could be wrong on that, I came online today to see if I could find that old description). It closes loosely at the top with a center magnetic clasp. I will say on the delivery, though, they told me up front mine would take 2-3 weeks to arrive, so I was OK with their timing on delivery.

          Thanks Amy. I went to the Jana Feifer website. It says her bags in the JAM “initial-themed bags” were sold at the high end retailers, but doesn’t say anything about the totes being sold there. I wonder if they really were sold there.

            I am begining to thnk that she may have made bags like the ones they sold us but we got the knock offs that you could get for 40.00 on a street corner in NYC.. this has scam all over it

    Hey Jana Fiefer, do us all a favor and clear out your #*&#( customer service voicemail box (310-589-9165). A “Sorry, our mailbox is full” message does nothing to dispel thoughts of “fraud” dancing in my head. Hate to think that Jeal’s “Steals and Deals” are more Steal than Deal.

    It’s 3 days till Xmas and no bag yet (wife’s gift). I’d like to request that you cancel my bag order and send me a doghouse instead. That’s where I’ll be living in 2012 when my wife doesn’t get her bag for Christmas.

      not only will u be living in the dog house.. u will be eating dog food when ur wife sees the bag.. from what people are saying she will think u bought it at walmart. i still havent gotten mine. i went to marshalls today and could have gotten a REAL leather bag nicer than the one i ordered for only 10.00 more than this pieace of crap cost me. i am waiting to get it before i put in a fraud claim at my bank just in case for some reason my daughter likes it.. if i dont get it by dec 23 as promised i will go to the bank on the 26th and demand my money back

    I received my bag today and it was not worth $85 (cost plus shipping). If my memory serves me correct, it did not save anything about the sides being PVC. As for future Steals & Deals, I will only trust the brands I already know. I also ordered the Kenneth Cole coat for my husband on 11/22. Received it in a few weeks and it is very nice.

    I just got this email about the jana tote.. I dont know how to take it because last week I got an email promising it by the 23rd.. I wrote back to them and told them if i was not getting it as promised on the 23rd i want a full refund. i havent heard back.. here is the email

    Dear Customer,

    I apologize for not being able to reach customer service, with the holidays around the corner we have been inundated with calls and emails. We are in the process of finishing the fulfillment of over 8000 orders of the Tote. I’m very sorry for the delay, but with the holidays the factory ran later then they had promised.

      I got the same email in response to an email I sent requesting a refund because of the poor quality of the bag.

        I sent an email to JF and the Today Show telling them how disappointing this bag was. No response yet. I’m thinking I might contact my CC company to see what else I can do. I wanted to give JF customer service a chance to respond but I’m thinking they won’t. Or maybe I should contact the Better Business Bureau….I would have no problem returning this bag for a refund, would even pay for return shipping.

    has anyone posting on here started to get strange emails? I have gotten 2 today that had a link to click which I didnt click.. it was adddressed to ALL of my email accounts.. i also got one asking to confim this group by clicking a link. Beware of strange emails!!

        the one i got about joining the group was for a specific group about the jana bag and only had customer service as the sender. the other 2 had my name as the sender.. its not like we dont have enough to worry about without having to worry about being attacked with a virus from this site too.. grrr

    Received the Jana tote and it is not as advertised. $75 for a bad smelling PVC bag. I’m also trying to get a refund. Maybe we can ask Good Morning America for help, or just start watching their show since we can’t get any response from the Today Show.

    I just received my JF tote…and after waiting so long…I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!! It is not high quality, looks cheap, and smells terrible!!! $75 is too much to pay for a bag made of PVC!! I will be seeking a refund!!

    i got my bag today as promised.. the smell was not as bad as i thought it was going to be.. that said it doesnt mean i am still not very disappointed with it. I am just greatful it doesnt smell like gasoline. It looks 100% PVC though. The “leather trim” doesnt feel at all like butter soft leather. It is very soft but it has a pluther feel leather! low quality leather if it is leather at all. Since it is a gift for my daughter I will wait and see how she feels about it before putting in a complaint. She is very picky about her clothes and bags etc that I will be surprised if she likes it.. I will never buy from the Today show again.

    Just received the three black totes I ordered from the Steals and Deals segment (two for daughter in laws and one for me). After multiple emails received notice would arrive on Dec. 23 and did. Extremely disappointed. As stated by others, plastic feel to croc side but smooth sides are soft. PVC construction smells AWFUL – the delivery box even stinks. Had I seen these bags in person would never had paid $40 let alone the $75 plus shipping. Prominent stores would never be able to get the stated $395. I feel I have been ripped off and will never trust Jill or the Today Show with their recommendations. Would return if I could. A little late to be shopping now for a replacement.

    absolutely the worst item i have ever ordered online, the bags smell and look so cheap they would be sold in a dollar store boy was i taken. i have sent an email for a refund and am hopeful that i will be refunded for the 2 bags i ordered, there is no way i would give as a gift.

    My daughter just stopped by so I decided to show her the tote today and not wait until christmas day.. I had told her all about the blogs and how people were writting about this EXPENSIVE plastic bag. She took it held it to her nose and said I dont think it smells too bad.. Held it out eyed it all over and said I like it.. i like it alot actually.. This is from a VERY picky 24yr old.. I have to say I was surprised by her reaction because I feel it is a piece of crap but if she REALLY likes it alot then who am I to say no you cant have it because I dont like it..
    Jana I do think the quality of ur bag really isnt good.. I cant see movie stars carrying this around either..Maybe htis wasnt ur best work but it still represents YOU! This didnt do a good job REPRESENTING Jana.. Do better please!
    I will not be asking for a refund..

    Believe it or not my bag arrived today and I sent it right back with the driver. Never again from steals and deals.
