Keep in mind – Staples Easy Rebates are just that, easy! Go on over here to read more about them. Basically you’ll be able to submit all your info online. You won’t even have to mail anything in– the best part in my opinion! You’ll receive your rebate/rebates within 4-6 weeks after submitting them.
Staples Rewards are pretty easy as well! Rewards members earn 10% back in Staples Rewards on all ink & toner purchases, 10% back in Staples Rewards on all case & ream paper purchases, and 10% back in Staples Rewards on all Copy & Print purchases. Staples Rewards are issued monthly when the value of the Reward is at least $10. Monthly balances of less than $10 will roll over each month until the minimum is met for that calendar quarter. If the $10 minimum for the quarter has not been met, the balance will expire at the end of the quarter. Rewards and Recycling Rewards are redeemable for most merchandise in Staples stores, online at www.Staples.com or by phone at 1-800-333-3330 but cannot be redeemed for or applied against taxes, cash, credit remittance, delivery charges, custom printing orders placed online, promotional products, Staples gift cards, third party gift cards, prepaid phone cards, postage stamps, prior purchases, Staples Industrialsm purchases or any purchases made on other provider Web sites.

Collin,
Can we still “roll” the rewards into new rewards? I did that all the time for years, and now the rewards are not showing up when I use old ones to purchase new ones.
Ugh.
Thanks! Love your site!
Nada
Nada, I think I have the same question as you. I am new to Staples Rewards, can I use my rewards from the last battery deal to buy more batteries & will I get the rewards again? Not 100% sure how it works. Thanks in advance for anyones help on this! 🙂
Yes, that is what I was doing too. But the new battery purchase shows as 0 oop so no new rewards were added to my account.
You used to be able to, and you can actually still PAY for the items, but a policy change went in about a year ago (from what I’ve gathered when one of my readers inquired the same) that indicated that you can no longer roll the rewards.
From the comment stream I followed, you will get the differential but if the item is $5 and you have a $5 reward you will not get a $5 reward from the item (if that makes sense).
Good luck and happy shopping.
Staples Corporate told me that the value of any coupons or discounts are taken from the price before they figure the reward. So if you use a reward from a previous purchase, that value will be deducted from the new purchase prior to figuring the reward. Be careful on items with rebates, because some of their rebates will also deduct the value of coupons and discounts prior to calculating the rebate. I never know until I file the rebate, so now I just don’t use rewards on items where I want a reward or a rebate.
Good to know, maybe to be safe I’ll use them on something else! 🙂
My comment was meant to post under Nada’s above, but thank you also to Coupon Hubby. I will definitely use them on something else. 🙂
Coupon Hubby is right. I have $20 in rewards that expire this month. Spend them on rewards items like batteries and I blew it because I don’t get the rewards and the batteries are overpriced. However, if I spend it on Rebate items, I turn it into cash! Example- Buy 2 photo paper packs at $9.99 each, pay with my $20 rewards certificate (lose 2 cents) and I’ll still get a $19.98 rebate into my PayPal (you could have it sent over mail). FYI- Rewards don’t have to be used at once. It can be used over two transactions.
Thanks for the match up Collin. Has anyone used Omnitech 11 Sheet Cross-Cut Shredder $49.99 as I am planning to buy a paper shredder but I am struggling in getting some good reviews. If any one of you has used it kindly share what you think about it. Also if you have any other recommendation feel free to that also. Thanks
If I use my Staples rewards on a purchase, can I still get the Easy rebate?
It is my understanding that you can use rewards on easy-rebates (and still get the rebate) but you can not use rewards on rewards. Please someone, correct me if I’m wrong.
allie, you can not use your rewards to get new rewards, but yes, you can use your rewards for easy rebates. i’ve checked with staples on this and have never had a problem.
Jenn,
Thanks for responding! I will definitely be taking advantage of that!
Thanks for the match-ups Collin!!!
If I’m right, you can make the Batteries a Money Maker with the new coupon that just came out in a flyer from Duracell in Thursdays paper. 🙂
I’m not positive but Staples definitely doesn’t give Rewards back for the amount of one of their coupons, and I think it ‘s the same for manufacturer coupons. Anyonr know for sure?
