        I didn’t see the lock button, but I tried to order it and it wouldn’t go through, something was wrong with the state/providence? I put in Ca. and California and nothing worked, sooo I guess I wasn’t meant to have it….after reading your comment of the unlock button….”thank you Lord for me not ordering it”

      My daughter called me excited to tell me about this deal for her dad that she wanted me to purchase for Christmas. I have always told our kids not to belive evry good deal you hear as most are to good to be true as in this case. It was a good lesson for both of us. The original Miracle blades site is secure and it is buy one get one free along with a stainless steel flatware set free as well. All for 39.95. I am glad I read the comments so I was aware of the unsecure site. You get more for you $ through the original site and feel safe ordering since it is secure. Be smart when ordering online! I am surprised as well with Today Shows lack of security for their viewers.

        I ordered the set of knives and the checkout site was secure. I checked out through the The Today Show site and did see a lock on my computer screen when making the transaction. I agree you should always be careful when ordering online, but this
        time as it turns out, it was totally safe 🙂

    I live in Boise,Idaho Today show segment was on here 9:00 Mountain Standard Time.
    I tried for the knives but it came back sold out! I went in a tried again and in about 3 seconds my order was confirmed. Keep trying!!!

    I went trough the process to order the knives as a Christmas present only to get the message that they were SOLD OUT. This was within 40 minutes of the Today Show announcement offering them as such a deal! Very disappointing.

    This was a good publicity deal for the knife seller but no deal for Today Show viewers.
    I hope that Today can re-offer this deal for real so that viewer orders will be honored.

      Well, at least you aren’t on the West Coast, I tried to buy the Destiny Blankets and they were SOLD OUT before the episode ever aired. Very disappointed!

    I to went on within minutes of the airing of today’s show and right after Jill’s segment. Not one blanket was available. What a scam! What does the company allow such a small amount for that price and just do the promo for the air time? How unfair and disappointing!

      They are releasing more colors of the blankets for each time zone – keep checking back! If you check back right before west coast airs at 9:15PST there should be more!

            Hope everyone is not as disappointed as we are! I ordered 6 of these so called blankets for my Aunt. They are NOT blankets they are 50×60 throws!!! The title above the pictures plainly said “Blanket”, I was in such a hurry to order before they sold out that I didn’t notice they were throws until after the invoice was printed. Just hope I can find a way to stop payment with my credit card since there is no way to cancel the order…….won’t fall for anything like this again!!!

    When I first tried to get sherpa blanket the site indicated they were sold out. I tried a second time and was able to get the blanket. The shipping is $8.99 not $9.99 as indicated.

    I DECIDEDED THE STEAL WAS NOT A DEAL ON THE KNIVES, AS I AS IN THE PROCESS OF FINALIZING MY PURCHASE, I NOTED “ALL SALES ARE FINAL, NO REFUND, NO EXCHANGE.'” THE VENDOR DID NOT INDICATE IF A WARRANTY ON THE KNIVES WAS GIVEN, THIS WAS A DEAL BREAKER FOR ME.

      I agree – I wish I would have thought twice a few weeks ago when I orders bras offered on the Steals and Deals – I honestly think that the vendors sent a lower quality item because of the deal.

      Now I am not so quick to order the Today deals. They can send you anything and you have no recourse.

    I had no trouble ordering the knife set @ 10:45 am ET – order went through. I previously ordered comforters, Isotoner touchpad gloves and quartz bangle bracelets several weeks back from the steals and deals. I’ve gotten everything but the bangles which I’m expecting to arrive any day now based on a shipment email. I’ve been very pleased so far. For those complaining about shipping – the deal is the purchase price in comparison to what you would pay ordinarily. If you believe you’re getting a deal on the purchase price, then paying $10-13 for shipping shouldn’t be a big deal. if you don’t think the product is worth the price – then don’t bother buying it.

    Hello Today… I just placed an order for the world knives, and I have to say, that site is very shady. Plus, there is no way to mail such a large gift WITHOUT the invoice. Stupid. B/C the company is not based in the US, they have horrid customer service. I called the 800 number and got nowhere. I am mad that I ordered these now and sent out as gifts, as all my family will see what I spent. Also, I am now worried that even for the low low price, that the quality just won’t be there.

    Not happy.

    Jewerly. I have not received my items as of today. What can I do to see what the
    problem is. It said it would take 5 weeks but it’s been 7 weeks. I have not received any
    update emails regarding shipping issues.

    I wanted to purchase the knife set and it went through but I refused to give my credit card number to a site that isn’t https secure. 🙁 So just letting others know that the site isn’t a secure site when giving credit card information.

      UGH! I wish I thought of paying attention to that. B/C it was recommended by the Today show, I didn’t bother to check that too…. I think the Today show should be a bit more careful when suggesting these deals…. I am totally frustrated now.

      for any questions you have regarding the secure nature of their site. I would recommend you contact them regarding your concerns.

    I tried to order the blankets before the segment was even over and got a message that they were sold out! Come on! This really stinks for people on PST if everything is sold out before it even airs here!!!

      Keep trying! That kept happening to me I tried more than 6 times and it finally went thru and I got my email from them confirming my order. Good luck!!

    I’m in Washington State. i tried to order the knives and the blanket all sold out. I tried four different times, the ad was on Tv when i was tryinf to order. i have never never got one of the deals.

    I had my handbag in the shopping cart while Jill was still speaking (Pacific Time) and was told the clutch was sold out. When I was shopping my only choices were olive or chocolate. I chose chocolate with the fleur de lis charm. Added to the shopping cart and within one minute later went to checkout and was told that they were sold out of every color.

      I was finally able to checkout at 9:52 a.m. Pacific. It appears the company did release more product, but only in the chocolate color. Disappointing, I would have purchased several others. I was also offered a really cute 24″ gold plated necklace with a similar discount ($138 down to $22) which I purchased as well. I know it is not the Today Show’s fault that these companies run out, but do think that they should negotiate some sort of “rain check” if they run out within 4 hours of airing in each time zone. If a company can’t handle that, they probably shouldn’t be featured.

      I’ve been trying for 30 minutes now, don’t think it’s going to happen. Doesn’t seem like you have much of a chance at any of these deals if you live on the west coast.

      Keep trying! I also got several messages showing they sold out. I tried for at least 6 times and finally got thru to a secure site and got 3 blankets in the colors I wanted. I already got the confirmation email from the company. Try again.

    I’ve been trying for the blanket since the segment aired Pacific Standard time. All sold out! Bummer! I tried as soon as I saw the blankets on the show. Companies should be required to have higher quantities of inventory if featured.

    I just called customer service and I had already bought the kinves since I didnt want them to run out. I had assumed that there was a warrenty on the knives since it said “Never have to buy knives again!” They said there is NO WARRENTY!!! I couldnt believe it! These knives had better work for a VERY LONG TIME! Watch out people, this doesnt seem right to me.

      Me neither. I am very upset with the Today show for having recommendations on sites that are not secure, and offer odd locations overseas with bad customer service. I wish I never ordered them… we have heard nothing from the Today show regarding peoples concerns about these knives…

    I tried ordering the Sherpa blankets in taupe and it indicated that they were sold out so I tried ordering the them in gray, and said those were sold out. I then tried ordering them in the giraffe pattern and the order went through, so keep trying to order them in different colors unless it really matters to you.

    OK….NOW I read the comments! I probably should not have ordered those knives since the website did not seem secure……too late! I will have to watch my card carefully. Luckily, I used a check card on an acount I keep very little money in.

      I have ordered a few things from the today show, and haven’t had a problem, the deals are very good, and I find my self waiting for the show to come on just so I can check out the deals, and of course I buy some for a friend or a gift and do the to me from me, thing lol…..

    I think to make it fairer so everyone gets a chance to try these Steals & deals you should limit the purchase to one per person. If a company has unlimited quantities they could make it “no limit” after a certain time period.

    I’ve tried several times to order on Jill’s Steals and Deals and always items are sold out. Once again, I can’t order something that really interests me (the blankets).
    If you’re airing this on the East Coast, it really locks us West Coast viewers out. Nice for your retailers and the deal you have with them but a lot of us feel agitated which reflects negatively on NBC and TODAY Show, which I’m sure is not your intention. Would you consider a start time of 9:30AM PST/12:30PM EST which allows both coasts to participate? Or have the retailer do 2 time periods with a split inventory, (ex mentioned above) and close out their inventory at 10:30AMPST and 1:30PM EST. Or come up with something that doesn’t leave us feeling frenkly screwed. Speaking for myself, I’m an avid fan and am getting really tired of shopping “steals” in empty bins. I know you’re trying to do a good thing for viewers and retailers, but many of us are feeling emptyhanded when we’ve participated immediately to your call to action.

    However, thanks for the opportunity to express a thought.

      Hi! Just a heads up that I know right now some colors are sold out since it aired a while ago but they still have three colors available. The blankets held product for each color for west coast and released more product right as west coast hit. But I know it goes fast 🙁

    Ordered the Today Show deals from Oct. 18, 2011 (on Oct. 18). The companies were Pure Fiber, April.Marvin, and Danielle Stevens. Each company charged my credit card when the order was placed. I have not received a single order. I have not receive a tracking number for any item being shipped. The only thing I received was notice of my credit card being charged. I don’t recommend ordering anything offered as a Today Show special deal. These companies are not reliable and the Today Show should not be promoting them. I didn’t get a deal, I got a dud. Now I have to purchase additonal Christmas gifts and use priority mailing to send gifts to my family.

      I also orderd from Pure Fiber and have not received any kind of notice either, other than the charge to my credit card. I tried emailing them, and no response there either.

        I hadn’t received my order from Pure Fiber, but contacted them via e-mail and received an immediate response. The following day received a shipping notice through Fed Ex with a tracking number. My item is due to be delivered on Dec. 9th.

    *BEWARE!* Rats! I should have done my homework. The site you enter in your cc number is NOT secure. Also, if you go to the Miracle Blade web site you can get TWO sets of knives plus a flat ware set from the for $39 AND a lifetime warranty!! All of this for just $39.95. I took it on faith that the Today show had done their homework and they didn’t. I’m furious at myself for falling for this. Save yourself the trouble. Ugh!

    I have tried and tried to order the knives and it just says “processing for checkout” and then doesn’t finish. Guess I’m done trying. Hope they didn’t get my credit card information. All I can picture now is “Peggy” when someone is trying to use their milage points!

    I was told that the blankets were sold out and then tried a different color choice (I put in the giraffe). It went through! Black, plum and giraffe were still available. Try different colors. Looks like brown, burgandy, and taupe are sold out. Good luck!!

    I don’t know why I even try to buy Jill’s steals. Living on the west coast means there’s very little chance of getting the deal you want. The only time I’ve been able to purchase exactly what I wanted was when I got up early enough to buy on east coast time.

    I have comments on both the clutch and the knives. I am in California and wanted the
    clutch in cranberry. I kept rechecking since only chocolate was shown as available for
    quite some time. Went I checked just after 10:00 a.m. our time, the colors were all available. That company stayed true to their word that they would hold back colors so it is fair to all time zones. Thank you!!!

    As for the knives, I was leary of the low price and quality, so I took a few minutes and checked google for ratings on the knives. Many commented that they were sharp, but
    no comments at all on the feel or balance of the knives. Also some bad comments on
    knives breaking quickly. I decided to pass. We have Henckle and Wustof and was
    thinking of new knives just because we have had ours for many, many years. Think I
    will hold onto them! They are still great knives. Also, great Henckle deals popped up as I checked.

    As for the “Steals and Deals”, I have ordered many and have never been disappointed! I look forward to seeing them.

      Wusthof makes my favorite knives…those things feel fantastic in the hand. You can really only replace those with more Wusthof. And the Miracleblades describe themselves as “flash forged”; I don’t know what that made up term means, so I’m thinking it’s something along the lines of stamped knives coated in something.

    If products colors or styles aren’t available, try leaving the product site and logging back in. It should be updated then. I find it doesn’t update if I just stay on the site.

    Wow! Can’t believe the comments on the unsecured website for knives. I have been participating in Steals & Deals since the beginning and never once stopped to check this out. Maybe this was never an issue before or I just got lucky that I never had a problem. I trusted that the Today Show had done interaction with vendors and research on their customer service before selecting them for a segment. Today Show has a great reputation & I find it hard to believe they would be giving viewers shady companies to deal with…….but I guess I have to have some doubt now. I would like to hear from the Today Show how they pick the merchants and what research they do to make sure they are trust worthy.

    As far as quality- I have had some let downs- but not big disappoints for the price. Lucky for me none of my orders have been defect issues- that would be very frustrating! Seems like an issues that should be addressed with these companies before the Today Show selects them. Not liking something or being disappointed is one thing and I understand they can’t do returns for these reasons but a defect is another.

    As far as shipping-I ship packages to my daughters all the time and shipping is no longer cheap! The shipping is not outragous especially for the price you are paying for the item. Yes there were a few itmes where I went “hum” for the shipping cost but I wanted the discounted item-i’m sure there is a “handling charge” taken out of that price for the company and that is where they make some money on their discounted cost.

    I too would appreciate better updates on shipping from some vendors. I know longer count on the expected ship date – I know that doesn’t happen and I’m ok with it. Stopped buying items counting on them to be there on certain dates for gift items. What I would like is an update- I have no idea if my order got lost in their system or lost in shiping. Most companies are good about this but there are few that are not. And those are the ones that you can’t seem to contact either. Again – let’s here from Today Show on what their expectations are when they decide what companies to choose.

    With all that said- I love Steals and Deals! My overall experience has been fantastic. It is a fun little thing to follow. I am almost glad for the weeks it does not air-gives me a spending break 🙂 thanks Today Show for all the great Steals and Deals I now own!

    They really sock it to you on the shipping for the blankets at $5/blanket. That website also said all sales final no returns/exchanges. Makes me wonder wha to do if any of the blankets are damaged.

      When I logged on the shipping was 8.99. I decided to buy from Bed, Bath, & Beyond locally and got 20% off.

    I have been reading these comments all morning. My first time trying these deals was last week, so I haven’t received anything yet. But as I am reading there are so many people who are unhappy I am really nervous!! It seems that a lot of people haven’t even received items that they ordered months ago!! Is it fair to say that the no refund policy doesn’t apply if you don’t get your item? Or if you don’t get it by Christmas, even though that is the reason I bought the stuff?? I will absolutely dispute this with my credit card company should it not arrive in time!!! I’m curious if anyone has had a problem doing that before?
