College student here…I did one order with my favorite pens 2 ct Zebra and 12 ct Bic Triumph. Then, I did another order with a ream of white printer paper that already has hole punches (I never can afford this, lol) and some Bic mechanical pencils 24 ct. I spent 1.99 total. The Bic Triumph pens were on special for 9.99 from 14.99 (instant coupon), so my total price should have been 36.86, so that is AWESOME! Thanks so much!

I just bought a one touch stapler for $1.06 🙂 Tax even went down after the $15 applied to the order–usually we pay tax on the precoupon price.

i got this for certain items, like the water, food, etc when adding them to my cart. Some items just take longer to ship. I ended up picking 2 things that didn’t give me that message. I think it’s based on what the store has in stock. not sure…here’s hoping they don’t get canceled! lol.

I placed 2 orders and one says that it’s delayed the other order is fine. When I placed items in my basket for the second order I did get a message for the items I added that they may not be there until next week and it asked if I still wanted to add them. This may be why we are getting this message. Keep your fingers crossed that thats all it is!!
My order also has an expected delivery date, but it also has the message “We’re sorry, but problems with your order may prevent us from delivering it on time”.
Why would I be charged $9.95 to ship a gift card!! One computer says free for two $10 gift cards and my other computer says $9.95. I’m using a different computer hoping to be able to use the code twice. I would think gift cards would always be free to ship.
Actually, gift cards aren’t always free to ship from a lot of places.

I emailed, then called. The number is 1-800-333-3330. I only waited about 2 minutes.

I tried to cancel my order by calling the 800 number and the guy told me I couldn’t cancel. he said I had to wait and refuse the order after it was processed because my order is currently pending or something. 🙁
I would call back and see if you get someone else. I had no issue cancelling mine.
The coupon code that Collin has listed and the one on page 10 are 2 totally different coupons.
When you click the coupon in the ad, it also has an online code, which matches this one. It is the same coupon.

For those who don’t know, STAPLES is currently offering 100% back on your staples rewards cards for Avery binders. Staples is offering 100% back if you have a reward card (you can get one online and use it immediately) for their one-touch ED ring Avery binders (limit 4), and they have 3, 4 and 5 inch binders available (GREAT FOR COUPONING). These binders normally run $14 (3inch), $19 (4inch) or $32 (five inch). Might want to look into it while you are at the site

Collin, First of all, I love your blog so much. I love your response suggesting that she follow another blog! I didn’t see the original post, just read through the comments for fun. I think it’s great that you warned about the coupon not working. I would just like to say that somewhere along the line someone was aware that this coupon was being misused. I wish people weren’t so quick to jump on these deals that are too good to be true. I think that most of the bloggers are honest and and would never intentionally post a bad coupon code. I just think that we need to be more careful about the deals we pass on. Yes, there was a warning, but people still tried it, no surprise there. I cant imagine what a nightmare staples is in right now trying to fix this! People knew that this code might not be legit, but in the hopes that it was, quickly placed orders. That’s understandable. My problem is, the people that said things like, they should honor it if it got accepted or why should I pay shipping for a gift card? There is such a sense of entitlement from some people–it blows my mind!! There’s this weird greed that goes on now, I read it all the time in the comments; people bragging about using several different email addresses or having several rewards cards in order to double dip (or triple dip.) I think that because of this, couponing has changed. You know those coupons that always came back over and over? Like the $4 off Gillette razors, or the 40 cent off pizza rolls, etc….Now it’s $2 off razors and 40 cents off 2, etc… My point is good deals are getting fewer, coupons are getting lower, and people are getting greedier. There are just too many people out there that do not care about the rules or ethics and it’s ruining things for normal couponers. Again, I just want to say I adore you and your blog! I’ve been following for years, since your old blog, that I still believe was shut down due to some other jealous blotter! 🙂
Jenanne- If you were a consistent reader of Hip2Save you would know that Collin is very honest & did NOT post this knowing it was for “Avery” & telling people it was $15 off “anything”. Collin works very hard to save everyone money & I am overly thankful for everything she does!!! Our family would have never survived the past year after my husband loosing his job if it weren’t for her deals posted on Hip2Save! Sometimes she makes a mistake here & there because she is human!

It sounds like she was unsure and not that she was trying to be rude. I notice that deals/freebies/giveaways – always have three group of people – those who complain, those who attack those complaining in a mean manner, and those who are just happy to see deals/offers.
I LOVE the way Collin replied and the way she runs her blog. I find her to be a pretty honest and kind person in her blogging – I read a lot of blogs and not everyone is as kind, forgiving and ethical as Collin. Many blogs do encourage readers to cheat the system – that as long as something works, you are good to go, to clear shelves and then ask for rainchecks, etc – and I think that’s why Jenanne wasn’t too sure. Hopefully, she will see like we do, that Collin is not one of those bloggers.
While I don’t really like the 3 party labeling system you have going there, I get what you’re saying…but really, she posted in the ~original~ post that she didn’t know where it came from and to be wary…so I think Jenanne just didn’t read it thoroughly…it was her being so rude to someone who does so much for so many people (and always with honesty and a kind heart), that upset so many of us.
Also, I’m not an expert on other blog sites, as this is the only one I follow, but if many are as dishonest as I just read here…I’m guessing their members wouldn’t even bother to take up for them…just a thought 🙂

I apologize if you thought my response to her was rude or ugly. I was mainly just shocked that someone said/thought that. It showed a few things- she didn’t read the original post and she made a snap judgement on Collin without bothering to get the facts. I personally think the name-calling and a few other responses were a bit overboard, but not mine. Sorry if it came across that way! 🙂
Also, that’s a crying shame that other blog sites have that attitude and are so dishonest and greedy. That tackiest thing I’ve seen here is a few people using multiple emails/facebook accounts to win multiple prizes and things, and it always makes me shake my head. (ex. the Dr. Oz giveaway had someone who claimed to have won 4 vacuums and was after some other prize with her 5 email accounts. Though I think that was someone trying to get a rise out of us, because it was super hard to get in the site and I’d think it very odd if she was able to get through 5 separate times that day and claim one of the big prizes every time.)
